Nbc sports no idea how reliable are saying that this will be Salahs last game for LFC. Apparently fee of $130m has been agreed ?.

Oh2bnegativehappydays2

1.) 27 Aug 2023 14:29:47
Again, if a fee's agreed, surely he doesn't play against Newcastle?

2.) 27 Aug 2023 14:52:49
Nooo we can't lose Mo when we have less than a week to replace him. Also we need 1 more middlefield and 1 more versatile defender. This will be a really bad season.

3.) 27 Aug 2023 15:01:48
$130 M seems very less if it is true.

4.) 27 Aug 2023 15:29:29
Thing is if as has been reported he has gone to the club and said I want to go, what's the point in keeping him. Not sure he would be he could do a Coutinho and down tools.

5.) 27 Aug 2023 15:32:55
130 million dollars? That's chump change if true. Even 130 pounds or euros is insulting for out best player.

6.) 27 Aug 2023 15:40:52
We've been here before many times another hero will emerge -
Keegan - King Kenny
Rush - Aldridge
Salah - Szoboszlai.

7.) 27 Aug 2023 20:18:54
If he does go, as he played today i have my doubts, so be it. I'm not sure he'll be missed as much as people think. Look how spurs adapted after loosing Kane, they're a more fluid and organized team. Just as we'll be less predictable and slicker. Salah is not our best player, Becker is!

8.) 27 Aug 2023 22:17:14
Not a chance is he going you lot need to calm down.

9.) 27 Aug 2023 23:35:09
still in his prime and could contribute another 2-3 seasons in the top leagues.

if he wants to go and get paid, then all power to him. laterz.

10.) 28 Aug 2023 06:05:43
@Viva, the big change at Spurs is Postecoglu. He isn’t the most likeable of people but he is a very good manager. Spurs will become a real threat ver the next couple of years.

{Ed001's Note - I like Postecoglou - he is a Liverpool fan.}

11.) 28 Aug 2023 07:28:19
regards Ange, I remember when his young Brisbane Road team burst onto the scene in Australian football. they were so refreshing and bright to watch then he did the same with melbourne victory. His teams seem to respond to his methods and coaching style. I wish him all the best being a fullah from down under but feel like he will need to over achieve to be recognized as a good coach.

12.) 28 Aug 2023 09:23:03
no wonder FSG have been contacting Mbappe! the only worthy successor. No smoke without fire! here we go!

13.) 28 Aug 2023 09:27:42
Faithworks,

Ange has won at least one title at every club he has coached at. South Melbourne, Brisbane Roar, Melbourne Victory, Yokohama F Marinos, Celtic. He continues to defy his naysayers who say he can't coach.

14.) 28 Aug 2023 10:22:32
Postecoglou, didn’t have the easiest path in life as a kid - his parents migrated from Greece when he was 4 and they ‘did it tough’ for a while. There’s something of the old school manager in his manner and approach. Living in Australia, I echo what’s been said about his record - Spurs will get better. He shouldn’t be underestimated.

15.) 28 Aug 2023 12:36:51
I think he is a very likeable guy but I hope he turns out to be a sh#t manager for Spurs ?.

16 Aug 2023 20:36:50
Apparently we've just bid for a Japanese player £6million.

Oh2bnegativehappydays2

1.) 16 Aug 2023 21:10:24
I’ll contain my excitement.

2.) 16 Aug 2023 21:23:44
We’ve gone from submitting a British record bid for a young exciting talent to throwing a few quid at Stuttgart for a 30 year old player that nobody has ever heard of.

It could be a stroke of genius but I fear that it is just going to waste one of the 2 spaces we have left in the squad for foreign players.

Jorg needs to go now before he does any more damage to the club.

3.) 16 Aug 2023 21:26:44
Erm… one to get excited about.

{Ed002's Note - Get the Kleenex ready.}

4.) 16 Aug 2023 21:35:08
Hopefully it will be a happy Endo.

5.) 16 Aug 2023 21:39:38
18m now. Never heard of this wataru endo. Where has this come from. 30 Yr old.

6.) 16 Aug 2023 21:40:16
Looking forward to a VV scouting report ?.

7.) 16 Aug 2023 21:42:58
I'd imagine we'd still be hoping to sign a player or 2 like those we bid for, we have to remember it wasn't just big players like hendo and fab who have left. Milners cover especially will be missed. We'll sign a "big" player if the right ones available and wants to come. Can't wait for that to happen and not sign a squad player if Klopp wants him.

8.) 16 Aug 2023 21:42:59
?? awesome reply from Ed002.

9.) 16 Aug 2023 21:47:23
We’ve been here too many times before. Caulker, Arthur, Davies, Kabak, Balotelli, Davies. Never ever ends well. Desperate signings with no clue and no idea. It’s almost like we intentionally sabotage ourselves sometimes. Still nothings stopping us taking that 12th spot this year.

10.) 16 Aug 2023 21:48:53
Why the negativity? Has he pulled on a shirt for us yet? It’s depth in an area we have none, and I’m sure it’s part of a wider plan. We needed some experience there, a holder, a ball winner and he’s that. I for one would much rather him than amrabat. We needed two in my opinion, so at least one is seemingly on the way, and I don’t see anything to be disappointed about.

11.) 16 Aug 2023 21:49:33
Why is everyone moaning? If we sign him I’ll support him as he’s one of our players. Clearly if it happens it’s a short term measure than one for the long term, simply down to availability. Who’s to say Andre won’t arrive in January or Luis next summer?

I would certainly prefer having a DM come in rather than no one at all. We made a British record bid for a quality player not even a week ago, who through no fault of the club decided against joining after saying he would be interested, is that Liverpool’s fault no not in the slightest.

I hope the majority of whinging arses I’ve witnessed on here over the last few weeks don’t go the game as Anfield would be a majorly depressing if they did. Time to grow up take it in on the chin and support the club rather than whining and whin8ng we do t sign the player you want.

12.) 16 Aug 2023 21:52:40
Hilarious signing, we surely just taking the p. now. Absolutely pathetic.

13.) 16 Aug 2023 21:52:44
Tchou many rumours about statemwnt signings in mf.

14.) 16 Aug 2023 21:54:30
16 -18m euros actually not 6m. Best dm in Germany apparently. But 30yrs old. hardly the future. Doucoure allegedly 1st choice.

15.) 16 Aug 2023 21:54:39
£20M plus addons! WTAF!?

16.) 16 Aug 2023 21:54:52
Very interesting. BuLi fans saying he’s one of the most underrated players in Germany. Interesting.

17.) 16 Aug 2023 21:55:45
In fact it's not only a few quid, but €20 mill. From one record to the other. Have to be the most expensive 30 yr you have never heard of. Well played my club.

18.) 16 Aug 2023 21:59:44
He is a cover player and not out main DM target, he also plays CB too. I have no doubt he will come in with an addition of either Palinha, Doucoure or amrabat.

19.) 16 Aug 2023 22:03:50
£6mil? That leaves £105 for Luis. The master plan unveiled.

20.) 16 Aug 2023 22:06:31
Well Sky now reporting it so must have some legs!

Ed002 Do you think he is been signed to share the responsibility along side a Doucoure or Thuram or is it a case of us looking for a cheap option again? To me if we signed him surely we would sign another CDM and CM?

Sorry if im wrong but i know nothing of this Endo.

{Ed002's Note - I am afraid this has come without my knowledge and makes little sense. If a club wants a simple back up then pick up someone Home Grown. If true, it seems surprising to me.}

21.) 16 Aug 2023 22:07:53
I find this rather amusing. Nobody has a clue who endo is yet have deemed him a failure. ashamed to call myself "one of the best fans in the world" ? based on people input here.

Learn a thing or two from Ed here, if you don't know (specifically on the endo rumours i mean) there's no harm admitting it and moving on than writing something off.

22.) 16 Aug 2023 22:11:24
Or 80mil for the Tchou Tchcou train?

23.) 16 Aug 2023 22:12:22
I think this fits the bill nicely. 2-3 years whilst Bajcetic cuts his teeth.

24.) 16 Aug 2023 22:25:06
For the ignorant, this Wataru Endo is captain of Stuttgart. Stats shoe he is performing better Kimmich. that's how good he is.

25.) 16 Aug 2023 22:29:12
Lord Klavan the 2nd?

26.) 16 Aug 2023 22:38:57
Using one of the two non-HG spots left on Endo is a big deal. Curious to see what else happens in the window now.

27.) 16 Aug 2023 22:50:10
The trolls should be obvious from the responses above. The fans were crying out for a new DM any DM possible. So don't get the bitching and moaning on show. Perhaps the club feels we lack experience based on those sold. Will turn out a bargain I think. Jorg finally earning his money.

28.) 16 Aug 2023 22:53:08
This is why we should never have given Adrian a new contract, we use a homegrown spot for a player who will likely not play a game this season.

29.) 16 Aug 2023 22:57:00
Because he’s a 30 year old player who is clearly a short term measure… the frustration is that he’s 30, so declining here on in, he’s not well known at the age of 30 coming from a weaker league (says it all), he’ll take up a foreign spot, and how have we managed to get in this mess that we need to sign short term cover. It’s laughable. Oh are we holding out for Bellingham in 5 years time.
Let’s hope he wants to sign for someone else.

30.) 16 Aug 2023 22:57:07
Albeit sarcastically this is the first time victor has been excited about a player, I take that as a win.

31.) 16 Aug 2023 23:30:02
I remember when we signed an older Scottish midfielder to much scorn.

Gary Mac did alright. Babel, a free signing, did alright.

This player has been absolutely excellent in a tough league, yet people will write him off as he isn’t shiny enough.
Same people who want us to spend a fortune on a currently injured 28 year old from Fulham.

Like most of the actual match going reds I will reserve judgment until I see him play. His price tag won’t get me all excited, what he does on the pitch, you know - the important bit, will.

32.) 17 Aug 2023 00:02:55
Oh my god We need a dm. Never heard of him but sounds like he comes with rave reviews. Constant toxic shooting down of any player under £50m that we look to sign. Remember Robertson and what did he cost?!

33.) 17 Aug 2023 00:32:02
the only thing embarrassing over the last couple weeks has been posters on here having a cry about anything and everything.

yeah yeah it's a rumours page, y'all have free speech, it's all opinions and yada yada yada. but, man, do some of you live life this miserably too? , Liverpool, a working class town. LFC a club that loves a fight and punches above it's weight.

We don't need another child on massive wages. We've got Jones, Elliot and Bacjetic who have bags of potential and room to grow. We need stability in the midfield and someone who can play as a CDM. Endo is one of those guys. and there is still room to bring in another player.

I'm all over this signing and wish him all the best. Our team could do with a bit of Japanese discipline.

34.) 17 Aug 2023 00:41:15
Don't you think Jorge knows a thing or two about German football and the player, who by the sound of some people is highly regarded in the German league?
Reading in the daily rags that we are also looking to Docoure Gravenberch and Amrabat at the same time. Could be a busy week if they want all 4.

{Ed001's Note - do people forget that Klopp makes the final decision on every signing?}

35.) 17 Aug 2023 00:45:41
Klopp thought he was re signing Hendo it was in confusion with his accent.

36.) 17 Aug 2023 00:53:42
Japan were pretty good at the world cup and enzo is their captain. They were full of energy, strong, attacking. He did pretty well. From memory they struggled with an end product. Luckily for us, we seem to have a fairly potent attack so if enzo plays, he gets my backing until proven otherwise.

37.) 17 Aug 2023 06:09:29
Well said ma77.

38.) 17 Aug 2023 08:17:46
With you Faithinworks. Makes you wonder about the workings of the human mind if your first impulse is always to shoot down anything that isn't shiny (must cost 100 million at least) or you don't know the slightest thing about. People are clearly admitting they don't know the slightest thing about him and then slating him at the same time.

39.) 17 Aug 2023 08:51:38
Hopefully he doesn’t block Bajetic progression and helps the kid along. Could end up being a good signing but agree seems strange
Up the pool.

40.) 17 Aug 2023 09:28:37
He's not even kicked a ball for us and we're questioning it?

Like most, I can't say I know too much about him, but his stats and the the things I've heard others say make him sound more than competent. I'm not sure he's necessarily going to be the first choice in the team, but - if he's as good as I've read - he could well become that.

Personally, I'm happy we're looking to bring in more experience. The younger players we've been linked with are exciting, but they'll need time to develop. There's never anything wrong with having a calm head on the pitch.

If he signs - welcome to Anfield!

41.) 17 Aug 2023 09:48:55
I agree with Faith. Endo ticks a few boxes - the need for an established DM ready to play now and someone with obvious leadership to take up some of the lost leadership from Milly and Hendo. Plus he can allow us to bed in the youngsters without placing too much strain on them for a season or two. Perhaps also it leaves money in the kitty for another signing or two. And of course, if you have a shirt with HENDO on the back all you need to do is scrape of the H soon these testing economic times the club are even thinking of the fans. I'll get my coat.

42.) 17 Aug 2023 10:51:07
I’m optimistic with the Endo signing, low fee, lowish wages I would guess, he’s versatile and it’s obvious he’s a leader as he’s the captain of both his club and country. I see this more of a Milner replacement really and I would expect us to sign another midfielder at least but it probably puts us in a better position with regards to signing another midfielder and if the prices are astronomical we can walk away (to what will be uproar to a lot of fans and obviously not being ideal) knowing we have Endo, Bajetic and Thiago who can cover the 6 role until we can find the right replacement for the right price down the line.

43.) 17 Aug 2023 14:53:42
And enough with this "he plays in a weaker league" nonsense. Half our team came from these so-called weaker leagues.

13 Jul 2023 22:17:32
Any truth to us putting a bid in for Rice which has delayed the move to Arsenal?

Oh2bnegativehappydays2

{Ed002's Note - Of course not.}

1.) 13 Jul 2023 22:22:56
That is a proper rumour/ conspiracy ??? love it.

2.) 13 Jul 2023 22:25:47
Thanks for the clarification, a shame though.

3.) 13 Jul 2023 22:36:48
Hands down the best old school rumour of the current window so far?.

4.) 14 Jul 2023 11:10:37
@oh2benegative

Is this what we’re spending the “£12m in the bank” on? ?.

5.) 14 Jul 2023 12:27:40
Damn it Ed002, I wish you wouldn’t be so evasive with these answers ?.

I actually would love OliRed to meet Harry.
Oli could learn a lot from Harry. Harry's been the one constant true poster on here for so many years and has a genuine love of the game.

Oh2bnegativehappydays2

{Ed033's Note - Oh2bnegativehappydays2, try logging into our Talk Sense site again.

1.) 10 Dec 2023 10:13:38
Ah double negative. I see what you did there.

2.) 10 Dec 2023 11:12:10
Isn't olired one of his alter egos?

3.) 10 Dec 2023 11:59:48
He certainly loves Man City.

4.) 10 Dec 2023 12:15:41
I would say not. Oli talks sense for one.

5.) 10 Dec 2023 12:52:01
Oh2bnegativehappydays2, Now tha's rich from a guy like you who lives up to his username in near every post including this one. There are actually people on here I learn a lot from and trust me, the City fan masquerading as an LFC fan ain't one of them.

Now, you and your BFF/ City fan can run along and have your hug fest and all that BUT please, leave me out of it.

6.) 10 Dec 2023 13:12:58
Harry’s opinion changes more often than his user name.
His only consistency is that he’s inconsistent lol.

7.) 10 Dec 2023 16:35:21
Haha Mikey he should make his new username Darwin nunez then.

8.) 10 Dec 2023 18:07:06
I’ve seen some statements in my time but that must be the craziest one ever.

I was out on a works do last night and had to check I didn’t sleep through until April 1st.

9.) 11 Dec 2023 07:24:59
Harry has changed somewhat; trust me I would know, I've been jousting with him since over a decade on these pages.

He says it's the yoga classes that have helped him to calm down. Maybe that's true. But I think it's more just the natural process of aging. Going from 15 to 25 years old changes you without a doubt. ???.

02 Dec 2023 15:22:55
A few days after the fact, but was really pleased with Salah the other night.
The pass to set up the goal was a delight for me. So many times he would have took on the shot and pretty certain it would have gone straight at the keeper.
It's good to see him adding the assists to his game now.
He's lost a yard or two but if he can continue similar contributions untill the end of the season Ill have to give credit where it's due.

Oh2bnegativehappydays2

1.) 02 Dec 2023 15:41:45
And credit to you too for saying so mate ?.

2.) 02 Dec 2023 18:29:40
Adding assists to his game? You need to check out how many assists he gets every year.

3.) 02 Dec 2023 22:34:06
Of all the accolades, trophies and records that Mo Salah had amassed over his time at LFC, the one he treasures most is this one nod of approval from Neggy on the interwebs.

Seriously tho, the opinion of the only LFC ‘supporter’ in the world who wants rid of Klopp means nothing lol.

4.) 02 Dec 2023 22:52:03
@ mark I was trying to say that his decision making was getting better. Yes he has assisted throughout his LFC career but he's also hit so many shots when he shouldn't have.
His assist stats would be off the charts if he had done similar in different seasons.

5.) 03 Dec 2023 10:54:21
Ah, so assist records are far more important than goals scored. I learn something new every day, on here.

6.) 03 Dec 2023 11:32:17
Oh2bnegativehappydays2, it seemas like your comments about Salah is at least a week late and a fair few dollars short, IMO. You're saying "Salah has added assists to his game". Really? You're just seeing that a guy who had the most goals and the most assissts just 2 seasons ago is just now "adding assists to his game"?

You say Salah's decision making is getting better. Again, where have you been this last 3 years? And you come say that that If he had done this or that, his assist numbers would be through the roof again, referring to the past.

Bro, you're all over the place here. If you are going to give the guy credit, just put the useless caveats to the side, give him the credit and keep it moving cos your post was painful to read for me, at least with all the caveats you have in there.

7.) 03 Dec 2023 12:28:37
The only difference between a chance created and an assist is the finish.

We have 5 forwards who are all capable of scoring goals so assists should and will be high.

You could have had KDB, Bellingham and Trent in that Rogers side with Balotelli, Borini and Lambert and they would have finished the season on 1 assist between them.

8.) 03 Dec 2023 12:55:55
@ Oli you confused me with caveats? Over his LFC career he has a massive history of hitting shots when a simple pass was on.
A few years ago it's likely he would have took that shot on and not passed it.
I am praising him because his decision making has improved especially this season.
Not sure why you would disagree with my original statement. I get you don't like me etc which is perfectly fine but what I've said is true.

9.) 03 Dec 2023 21:24:01
Oh2bnegativehappydays2, and Im telling you that you are a week late and a few dollars short with your praise cos what you are giving him credit for now, he has been doing for the past 3 years. IMO, it is you who has not been paying attention to how great Salah has become and all the improvements he has already done to his game. Is that so hard for you to comprehend?

06 Oct 2023 07:48:10
Obviously not the greatest performance but nonetheless we got the result.
Hopefully we continue and progress.
We've a decent chance of winning the competition.
Would be nice to add another trophy to the cabinet.

Oh2bnegativehappydays2

1.) 06 Oct 2023 09:52:33
THESE EL group games are quite torturing, IMO. So at this stage, we just need to secure qualification as the first place team; That's it. How we get there? Im not bothered in the least bit.

However, there were some good performances from the likes of Quansah, Konate, Gravenberch and Diaz. On to Brghton which is the way tougher game.

2.) 06 Oct 2023 10:30:50
Of course it’s not the standard of the CL and neither are the fans may I add but we’re in it to win it. It’s early doors and fringe players are getting game time. This can only help in the PL as well if they are required. We’ve won both games, happy days. I want the trophy on our cabinet next year ??.

3.) 06 Oct 2023 12:25:50
What is the difference in standard between CL and Europa fans? Is it the way they drink their tea or the way they cut their crusts off their sandwiches?

4.) 06 Oct 2023 12:39:40
The atmosphere WDW. Don’t know if you watched the match but it was awfully quiet. Champions league nights, completely different ?.

5.) 06 Oct 2023 12:42:50
Irish I was at the game last night mate and not going to lie the atmosphere was bouncing in the pubs before the game and in the Kop during the game.

Fair play to the away fans they were great throughout and got a standing ovation themselves from Anfield at the end.

6.) 06 Oct 2023 12:50:51
However i have noticed when I’ve been in other stands at Anfield this season they have been far quieter.

Last night was my first one in the Kop this season and the singing didn’t stop all night. The Jota song is a firm favourite.

7.) 06 Oct 2023 12:52:09
Hey JK, great to see you around ?. It didn’t sound too great on the TV mate, even a few mentioning on the chat . Maybe I need to turn the sound up?. Hope you’re keeping well? Bit of a stranger of late ?.

8.) 06 Oct 2023 14:29:22
Irish all good mate. Work projects been manic and luckily enough to get to lots of games so been enjoying that with the boy.

Hope all is well with you and other lads from live chat?

9.) 06 Oct 2023 16:34:28
The atmosphere was a standard Europa League group game. It’s obviously nowhere near as loud as a UCL match but it’s quite nice in a way, being at the game.

Way less tense and relaxed just having a laugh not too worried about it. I’ll echo JK23, away fans were decent.

10.) 06 Oct 2023 23:08:02
@TIR, did you have the volume turned down on your telly by any chance ?.

On a separate matter, I think the EL, for all its drawbacks when compared to the CL, particularly at the group stage is a great step for the youngsters to take. Different comp from the PL, with different challenges. Great for young players like Quansah, who has also just been selected for the first time at England U-21 level.

11.) 07 Oct 2023 08:47:24
Maybe the wife was talking WDW ?.

12.) 07 Oct 2023 15:05:46
JK23, I was wondering were you had escaped to. But I knew the attraction of the brilliance on here and the live chat was too much to resist. ?.

13.) 08 Oct 2023 09:55:38
Me and my son were in AL2 on thursday night, the atmosphere and singing in that section was very good. The kop we could hear but didn't seem as loud as usual, other parts of the ground need to up the tempo.

29 Aug 2023 18:52:30
Who's everyone choice for most important player this season? Allison for me is the obvious choice but I think young Baj can do wonders for us this season.
If he comes back like last season and even a tad bit better he can be the difference to doing ok or having a disastrous season.

Oh2bnegativehappydays2

Depends. If we stick with the inverted system it will be Ali easily every game because it’s rubbish and clearly leaves us too open.
If we revert to standard Klopp tactics then it will be Salah. He’s too good.

2.) 29 Aug 2023 19:42:50
I think it will be Nuñez.

3.) 29 Aug 2023 19:45:49
After watching all our pre season games and first 3 of the season I can safely say dominik szoboslai will be very very important to us this season he’s been everything we needed already and then some .
Big big future for this lad can see why he is captain of his country at such a young age
Alexis mac has had a mixed start for me but I think his best will be when we have a settled team behind him the little fella will come alive . But dominik sobosslaa is an absolute machine.

4.) 29 Aug 2023 19:46:10
I hope to Fowler that Klopp drops this hybrid full back role but something tells me it ain’t going to end anytime soon so for that reason Alisson is our main man
Up the pool.

5.) 29 Aug 2023 20:35:51
Agree with other posters going back to 4 at the back works much better and look more sound.

6.) 29 Aug 2023 21:58:51
Agreed. Trent should look to focus his RB position as he can be one of the best in the world. Right now, he seems to be average in both positions. He's still young and needs to mature into a role, giving him essentially two roles much be tricky no?

7.) 29 Aug 2023 22:50:35
Baj as player of the season, my God what are pure fans like, 10 games last season and Messi this season and still injured, jeez.

8.) 29 Aug 2023 23:22:51
@OP, as it stands at present the key player is Endo. We are top notch going forward but are ‘dodgy’ when we are attacked, particularly on the break. DM is a key position for us and, as it stands, Endo has the gig. If he adjusts to the PL and plays well we’ll go ok. If not and we keep shuffling the midfield we will be in trouble.

9.) 30 Aug 2023 01:45:59
Alisson is definitely going to win. if not mo or Szobo.

10.) 30 Aug 2023 06:41:25
Allison or Salah. We need both to be on form.

11.) 30 Aug 2023 09:33:23
I'd love it to be Nunez. He has so much of Torres about him, he could be devastating.

28 Aug 2023 08:15:25
Gotta give credit where it's due. Managed to get the win after such obstacles is worthy of praise.
The Allison save was brilliant shame about the flap to put it out for a corner.
Darwin took his goals brilliantly let's hope he can continue shooting like this and not at the corner flags.
Anyone else thinking klopp has thought I'll keep him as a super sub and nick a goal or two to win games at the death?

1.) 28 Aug 2023 08:33:43
Yeah, even though it's a shallow generalisation, a Diaz, Gakpo, Salah starting 3 with Jota and Nunez as impact subs seems a phenomenal proposition.

2.) 28 Aug 2023 08:58:10
Darwin should be starting moving forward, Delvecs. He has more than earned it, at this point.

3.) 28 Aug 2023 09:30:28
Darwin should be starting, Its completely ridiculous he isnt.

4.) 28 Aug 2023 09:35:21
“The Allison save was brilliant shame about the flap to put it out for a corner. ”

A magnificent save and an instinctive reaction to clear the danger and we still find something to moan about. This site never ceases to amaze me.

5.) 28 Aug 2023 09:35:24
“Shame about the flap for the corner” my word the criticism is ridiculous. I’d like to see other keepers stop it let alone put it out for the corner. He responded quicker than any other player to put it out for the corner also.

6.) 28 Aug 2023 09:46:53
Shame about the flap to put it out for a corner?
You mean shame to put the ball safe once he’d managed to somehow keep it out of the goal requiring a post and great reflexes?
Did it not look pretty enough?

7.) 28 Aug 2023 10:30:12
The comment is by negative and the main purpose is to get a rise out of us fans. Clearly it worked.

But I'm still glad that many of us can see that it was a brilliant save by Allison and that putting it out for a corner was the right move.

8.) 28 Aug 2023 10:35:16
To be fair, watching the match I’m immediate thought was, that was poor he should have caught that …… just thought I’d join in with a silly comment like ‘shame about the flap ‘ gibberish. Sometimes I really struggle to understand people’s thoughts.

9.) 28 Aug 2023 10:35:41
Gakpo was fairly anonymous so 100% Darwin deserves to start the next match.

10.) 28 Aug 2023 11:00:32
The save was world class no doubt about it maybe best I've seen from any team this season.
The flap at the end to put out for a corner wasn't needed. Easily had time to get up and clutch it to chest.
Failing that our defender was there to clear the ball.
Putting the ball out for a corner just put us under pressure. Claim the ball keep it a few seconds then build an attack would have been the far better outcome.

I think it's not doable for him to break the record. He would need to score around 45 goals in each of the next three seasons.
Either the club cash in on him before that or he runs out of steam and doesn't quite score the goals.

Not taking away from his family's dreadful recent hardship the fella has practically done nothing for the team.
Don't get me wrong a brilliant baller but the end product is way too inconsistent.
Ideally a player with similar style of play but with the goals would be Ideal.

Elliott has done well for us so far. Always room for improvement. I think people thought he was going to be a new Rooney.
Nevertheless, he did well and then got a bad injury. Think he lost confidence after that, but he's definitely getting back to being a decent player.

I wanted Rice with us but unfortunately there was never a chance.
A lot of the posters didn't think he was good enough for a top four team.
Personally I think he's been top notch for Arsenal.

As a poster that pretty much knows all about football ?? I'd say learn from edd2 he's really good with the running of the club.
Ed 1 for me normally gets it correct for tactical stuff.
I do like to look out for Harry's posts too he thinks outside the box and some of his thoughts are outstanding.

The title race starts at the first game of the season. If you don't have the points already on the board it means nothing come March.

I'd agree with most of that especially Salah and his assists. There's a few on here including myself who question klopps teamsheet.
The biggest question I feel has this team already peaked for this season? Hopefully not.

@ mark I was trying to say that his decision making was getting better. Yes he has assisted throughout his LFC career but he's also hit so many shots when he shouldn't have.
His assist stats would be off the charts if he had done similar in different seasons.
