The Real Estate rumors continue with word Amorim's agent has rented a property in Liverpool ????, maybe it's the agents holiday home.

Mcgoveb

1.) 19 Apr 2024 05:25:57
Another real estate rumour is fabio carvalhos house is up for sale also.
So he must be on the move.

2.) 19 Apr 2024 13:28:10
Even more good news is that Nagelsmann has extended his contract to be Germany manager. This has been confirmed by Kirsty Allsopp who said he’s pulled out of getting a semi, nothing to do with houses, just that he’s always thinking with his trouser Mauser. I.

3.) 19 Apr 2024 14:29:06
Klopp for Germany when Nagelsman leaves I imagine.

4.) 19 Apr 2024 15:05:04
Leaves = sacked in Nagelsmann’s case. But the good news is he’s not coming here.

5.) 19 Apr 2024 19:14:49
Sure someone mentioned Klopp could take the Real Madrid job when ancellottis contract ends.

6.) 19 Apr 2024 23:15:20
Zero chance.

7.) 19 Apr 2024 23:47:58
So Nagelsman’s contract runs out in 2026, Ancelotti’s contract runs out in 29026, I think Alonso’s contract runs out in 2026 and Jurgen might be coming back from his sabbatical with the German national team and Real Madrid potentially wanting managers.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. Jurgen has said he’d like to manage Germany and Real Madrid seem sweet on their ex player.

14 Aug 2023 17:39:02
This rumour about us replacing Alli with AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan must be the craziest story yet this summer and there's been some doozies in the last few weeks, nonsense I presume Ed2?

Mcgoveb

{Ed002's Note - It would be a huge surprise but Chelsea do need to add a GK and Alison would be a decent option.}

1.) 14 Aug 2023 18:30:58
I read that Klopp is the one to be blamed as he is the sporting director and Jorg is just his mouthpiece - hired on his recommendation. He went against Edwards for Henderson's contract, notoriously stubborn with favorite players and targets. Edwards and Julian decided to leave as they do not feel their views are necessary anymore. By the way, Klopp does like to tap on players too.

Don't shoot the messenger.

{Ed077's Note - #Kloppout time already?}

2.) 14 Aug 2023 18:33:49
Love it ?.

3.) 14 Aug 2023 18:34:38
Love it Ed, sell him, it wouldn’t be the stupidest thing the idiots in charge have done this summer.

4.) 14 Aug 2023 18:44:39
Why not upgrade from pochettino to klopp while at it.

5.) 14 Aug 2023 18:46:44
Klopp has his faults like any other human-being. Now is not the time for the blame game. This is the realm of the big boys with fat wallets. Money and good management talks, bull walks.

6.) 14 Aug 2023 18:15:32
I don't think anyone's going to take the bait, Ed02.

7.) 14 Aug 2023 18:17:39
Becker walks into the Chelsea side Ed002!

{Ed002's Note - And the need a GK so should suit everyone.}

8.) 14 Aug 2023 18:25:44
Prepare for the drama Ed, ???.

9.) 14 Aug 2023 18:31:18
Oh ed002, you are awful. That comment will get the trolls foaming at the mouth?.

10.) 14 Aug 2023 18:46:47
Oh, how I wish I had access to so much inside information.

11.) 14 Aug 2023 18:46:55
All went to rubbish when edwards left to be fair.

12.) 14 Aug 2023 18:55:58
We already need to give Kelleher game time, and I am sure Chelsea will offer to pay over a 10 year period and that would guarantee us income for the next 10 years so it's a win-win.

13.) 14 Aug 2023 19:18:38
We are going with a spider keeper this year and using Ali in DM, he is excited by the switch in position and can't wait to showcase it against Bournemouth. He was willing to move to Chelsea but after they got two shiny new ones he was no longer interested in the 15 year contract they were willing to offer.

14.) 14 Aug 2023 19:18:38

13 Aug 2023 09:56:00
Ed002, from your sources were we always going to bid for Caicedo this summer or did something change within the club this week that caused us to go in with such a high bid?
If something happened are you able to tell us what that was?

Mcgoveb

{Ed002's Note - As I explained the club asked after his availability via his agents in January but potential bidders were put off by the huge asking price.}

1.) 13 Aug 2023 11:21:00
I still think we’ll pull a rabbit or two out of the hat before deadline.
And the best way to deal with the Caicado shambles … is on the pitch today .

2.) 13 Aug 2023 12:54:51
What will happen on the pitch today is Chelsea parading Caicedo like a trophy with Boehly laughing his head off in the Director's box.

3.) 13 Aug 2023 12:40:09
Eds according to your sources what is the reason that Chelsea are not launching the next bid? Is it the payment structure Liverpool offered that has to be matched or something else?

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation - move on.]

4.) 13 Aug 2023 13:27:44
Redak who cares? We certainly won't if we win today. Never mind if we do or not will be nothing to do with Caicedo. We'll move on and we'll get someone else hopefully.

5.) 13 Aug 2023 14:50:18
Should we just concentrate on who we could get instead of playing
Bullseye with “ this is who we could have signed “.

10 Aug 2023 20:18:37
Palace considering a move for Curtis Jones.

Mcgoveb

1.) 10 Aug 2023 20:47:36
Considering? Can we do a deal for eze while they are considering. Very good player.

2.) 10 Aug 2023 21:00:39
Got to be worth £60M in todays market.

3.) 10 Aug 2023 21:29:31
Agreed Ron if Southampton want £50 million for Lavia? No low balling offers either thank you very much ?.

14 May 2023 10:36:36
Tchouameni on loan is the newest rumour doing the rounds.

Mcgoveb

1.) 14 May 2023 10:52:54
I reckon that's bs personally.

2.) 14 May 2023 11:31:13
I saw something about that about 3 or 4 days ago. It was along the lines that we wanted to sign him permanently but that we would start with a loan if we had to, presumably with an option to buy although the report didn’t actually say that. To me it sounded a bit like clickbait.

3.) 14 May 2023 12:21:28
I'd take that, sounds like his move to RM hasn't gone as expected and if we were in for him last summer then it makes sense for us to still be interested.

4.) 14 May 2023 15:21:03
Can’t deny that Camavinga though. He bullied our midfield and at times bullied Man City, it’s no surprise Tchoumeni can’t get a kick.
He very well could be available this summer/ next because he’s not taking that lads place unless injured.

5.) 14 May 2023 13:20:51
Can I ask ed002, do you see much chance of this happening?

{Ed002's Note - I think it unlikely.}

6.) 14 May 2023 19:32:34
He has 45 appearances for them this season?

I haven't easily been able to find how many were starts vs. subs, but it's not like he hasn't kicked a ball for them.

7.) 14 May 2023 20:56:09
Sr he’s started 5 of 9 CL games he’s been involved in and 22 of 30 La Liga games.

Even if Real get Bellingham, young Modric and Kroos can’t go on forever so it would seem strange for them to move on Tchouameni because even as a loan it doesn’t really suit any party.

8.) 14 May 2023 22:23:31
Madrid has 6 midfielders listed in their first team: Kroos, Modric, Tchouameni, Camavinga, Valverde and Ceballos. Even if Bellingham was to join, it would be risky (a lengthy injury) for them to let anyone go out on loan. I doubt very much they would do it.

9.) 15 May 2023 05:31:11
I think with our new signings that would be one tchouameni.

10.) 15 May 2023 07:13:15
Go and sit on the naughty step @Acered. Nice one ??.

Mcgoveb

1.) 25 Apr 2024 22:30:55
Not many matches missed there.
He turns up and he scores and creates goals year after year.
It's no wonder he's knackered ?.
Wonderful servant to the club, as is Klopp, and nothing that happens this season will tarnish that.

2.) 25 Apr 2024 22:47:42
He is a legend but unfortunately time waits for no man, replacing him will be near impossible but when he weren't there this season we were better more of a team, no one likes change but we are going to see more players leave than expected.

3.) 26 Apr 2024 07:07:49
Who is going to unexpectedly leave, hailstones?
Salah is still contracted for next season, isn't he?

24 Apr 2024 13:57:58
If the runours we are signing Slot are true are we getting the best man for the job, the man who is best qualified to continue our winning ways and further progression from the Klopp Era?
Or, are we getting the guy that suits Edward's and Co and their supposed agenda of keeping control of everything and the new manager just being a coach?

What's your thoughts Ed1 and fellow posters?

Mcgoveb

{Ed001's Note - agenda? Surely the agenda they have is bringing in the best coach to progress the club?}

1.) 24 Apr 2024 15:03:50
@Ed01, that’s way to simplistic a way to look at things, mate.

2.) 24 Apr 2024 15:17:29
If 2 months ago we were all told that Klopp was going to be replaced by a manager that many of the fan base had no knowledge of and with limited CL experience then I’m sure we would have all been worried.

Alonso was definitely coming and then so was Amorim. I’ve always said whoever comes in has huge shoes to fill but the comfort factor for me is that we have one hell of a squad.

The new manager is 100% happening next season see might as well all get onboard and let it all play out and hopefully we hot the ground running.

Biggest negative is that Arsenal and City under Arteta and Pep will also still be there next season.

3.) 24 Apr 2024 16:06:48
Any manager coming in would be a risk to varying degrees. Now, I don’t claim to know much about the Dutch league but since last night I have tried to gain a better understanding of the man that is Arne Slot and the opinion of him by all Dutch fans via varies forums, interviews, what journalist say about him and players currently playing under him, and those that have in the past, along with tactical analysis videos.

My personal opinion, and I could be wrong here is this might be a masterstroke by Edwards. I read he was on course to win the league with a team called AZ, which would have been something close to a miracle. But the season was cut short due to the C.V. and as a result no one was declared the champions that year. Opposition fans have said he is nothing like Ten Hag and are confused at our fanbase having meltdown due to his impending appointment. They say they have never seen such good football from any team in recent memory and that he will shock a lot of us. The way they’re talking, and that includes opposition and direct rival fans of Feyenoord took me back, in a good way. Here is just one comment I read on a forum and there are countless others from Feyenoord and rival fans that echo the same sentiment:

“I’ve followed Feyenoord for 40 years. Not since the days of Johan Cruyff at Ajax in the 1980s has there been a coach so attack-minded in the Dutch league. Cruyff only had a few disciples who followed him and one of them was Pep Guardiola. ” “I would say Slot is a Guardiola-style manager based on everything I’ve seen over the past couple of years. The fans of Feyenoord can’t believe what they’ve seen over that time. ”.

4.) 24 Apr 2024 16:25:12
Alonso, from what little I have read about him, I'd agree with your assessment.

He is giving me 'Endo-like' vibes - Feyenoord fans are all going to be really sad to see him go as they have come to love his football, but all wish him nothing but the best at Liverpool.

5.) 24 Apr 2024 16:26:38
I'll explain a bit better, by agenda I mean that it is being reported that Amorim wanted more say in the transfer but was told that won't be the case. So we are going for a manager that is happier to have less say in purchases.
Weren't all those Dutch forums and fans and papers also saying the same about Ten Haag before he went to Utd.

6.) 24 Apr 2024 16:27:41
Ten Hag’s Ajax played some excellent football @Alonso. I wouldn’t mind if Slot is anything like Ten Hag. He flopped at United for many other reasons.

7.) 24 Apr 2024 16:46:58
Everything is a gamble and that includes Klopp when he came in. We had NO idea we would be where we are and have won the lot esp. at the beginning when things weren't working out and we could not get over the line despite playing the best footie I personally, had ever seen us play over the years back then. Klopp says til this day that he would be forever grateful to FSG for NOT quitting on him during those years, btw.

Slot is by all accounts, forging a good reputation for himself and he has shown that he can win the league, win other trophies (like the Dutch Cup Feyenoord won last Sun) and compete in Europe albeit in the Conference League.

Also, don't forget that as is the norm with our recruitment of players, Slot is prolly according to Edwards and his bros. the next best thing in management coming up the ranks (after Xabi and prolly Amorim) and feel they'd better get him now before he explodes cos then he would be exploding with LFC, the same way recruiting players like Salah, Mane, Bobbie, VVD, Ali and the rest we signed when they were right at the cusp of blowing up. We know the results of such investments. If Slot comes good anywhere near that then, we will be well on our way again.

8.) 24 Apr 2024 16:52:29
Jurgen Klopp himself was a so called ‘yes man’. He agreed to defer responsibility to scouts and analysts when signing players. It was a relationship that led to us signing the likes of Salah. Jurgens willingness to collaborate is one of the main reasons we were so successful.

Brendan Rodgers was not a ‘yes man’. He was an arrogant blert who argued the toss over transfers and then bleated to his media buddies that he was being oppressed. The club had to buy him Benteke as a consolation for accepting them pushing Firmino onto him. All of the signings made off his own back were rubbish.

I want a manager happy to work within the structure that bore fruit for us in the past. Many were happy when Edwards returned, but are now annoyed that he is doing his job in the way he has always done it?

Embarrassing contradictions being thrown about everywhere.

9.) 24 Apr 2024 17:03:38
@Zeddicus. I'm with you on the Endo-like vibes. And the Feyenoord fans are completely distraught.

@TheBeekeper. According to Ajax fans, Ten Hag’s football as good as it was, and I quote, is not in the same stratosphere tactically, both defensively in the way they press and in particular attacking wise. Plus, their demeanours are very much different. Slot apparently has more presence and authority. He is known for his excellent man management and closeness with the players and fans. However, as we know nothing is guaranteed in football, so we will have to see how he fairs over here.

Having said that, and I could be completely off with what I’m about to say. I’m very optimistic that he is going to be more successful than any of us could have predicted.

10.) 24 Apr 2024 17:22:04
Edwards and Co keeping control of everything? He's only been back at the club two minutes! And the same goes for the bloke from Bournemouth. Hughes, is it?
So Alonso decides to stay where he is, Amorim isn't viable, we have to look elsewhere and fans are losing their heads ?.
There's only one Klopp and we had him for nine years but it's time to move on. We can't just appoint a big name that everyone knows and wants and give him billions to spend.
That's not how it works and I should be surprised that fans don't know this but I'm not.

11.) 24 Apr 2024 17:28:36
The last year Ten Hag won the league with Ajax, the manager of the year award went to Slot rather than Ten Hag. He sounds excitingly progressive in his approach on the field and in terms of his approach to the game would seem a younger, more energetic version of Klopp.

12.) 24 Apr 2024 17:33:49
What kind of football he play Alonso and formation wise.

13.) 24 Apr 2024 17:53:51
4.3.2.1 or 4.3.3 jk23 with inverted goalkeeper as Ed said.

14.) 24 Apr 2024 18:09:47
@JK23. Starts of as 4-2-3-1 but often switches to 4-4-2 when the opposition is attacking to provide a solid defensive shape. He has thrown surprises if he feels the opponent is inferior. This is to completely dominate and suffocate the opposition into submission. Slots is meant to be very good tactically and his teams PRESS. Apparently, he will not accept any passengers in his side. I read that over a few seasons (can’t remember which ones) teams managed by him had the most chance created and shots on goal from any team across the top leagues in Europe. I’m by no means an expert on Slot, in fact far from it. Just passing on what I have gathered so far. But in short Its defensively sound, extremely high pressing, ultra attacking, fast paced, goal filled, exciting football.

15.) 24 Apr 2024 18:23:33
They’re calling him the Dutch Guardiola.

16.) 24 Apr 2024 18:26:55
He plays the double inverted nipple pivot so brace yourselves. Both trent and robbo will invert into midfielders.

17.) 24 Apr 2024 18:47:50
Is the beekeeper a troll? Spouts utter nonsense.

18.) 24 Apr 2024 18:59:36
Alonso said rejected the opportunity to be our manager as he wants Madrid. Amorim was interested but not on our terms, if Slot has said unequivocally yes then that’s great, he’s got a growing reputation, Bayern, Barca, Milan and Juve were all sniffing around and they’re not going to employ a Brendan Rodgers. Slot rejected Spurs and Chelsea last year which would have been the easy option. He’s got a reasonable pick of clubs. Given that Alonso and Amorim either said flat no or made demands that the club are not willing to meet, he’s the best option. No one can seriously say that they’d want any of Kovac, Tuchel, Frank, De Zerbi or Fonseca over Slot can they?

19.) 24 Apr 2024 22:09:07
Unfortunately when push came to shove Endo was shown to be not quite up to a full season. Like many dropped off a cliff recently.

20.) 24 Apr 2024 22:14:30
Nunez and Salah cost us for me. Nunez takes his chance tonight its a different story. Unfortunately he turned out to be a sht Andy Carroll in 2nd half of season.

21.) 24 Apr 2024 23:09:39
Endo is a squad player at best, for me.
City have Rodri, Arsenal have Rice and we have Endo. It was always going to catch up with us especially when we added Szoboszlai and Gravenberch, as well. Neither of them look like they fancy a tackle.
MacAllister gets a pass because he does have some quality and I knew it was never his strength.
The midfield tonight was too lightweight which was compounded by two of the back four bottling out of the battle, too.
I won't mention Salah and Nunez!

I would love to see Endo play that DM role tomorrow, he is the number 1 for that position.
Soblozai and Mcallister around him with Salah Nunez and Gakpo.

Diaz, Elliot and Curtis jones coming of the bench later.

2.) 23 Dec 2023 11:06:20
Mac Allaister is out Rax. I would have started Jones ahead of him anyway.

Completely agree with you on the rest. That's definitely the forward line I would start.

3.) 23 Dec 2023 11:08:04
How many would get into today's team?

4.) 23 Dec 2023 12:48:44
Pretty much most of them. Barnes Rush Fowler Macmanaman in their primes in this team we win everything for the next few years.
I'd be confident to say we would win at least one quadruple and a treble minimum.

Should go in ahead of both Robertson and Tsimikas, he would be our long term successor to Robertson who I would sell to recoup some money, only my opinion though. He was fantastic when he played against us.

Hes a CDM, whose game has been compared to Makellele, He won 55 percent of challenges in 2022/ 23 and places fourth on the list of the Bundesligas tacklers, having topped the pile in each of the 2020/ 21 and 2021/ 22 campaigns.

Where's all the money coming from to replace all these players people want shot of? if they are injury prone then we'll not get a big transfer fee for them. So far it's Matip and Thiago, added to those is Tsimi, Jota, Grav, Salah, Nunez, today Jones as he's injury prone and Diaz coz his father is always mouthing off. Gako is being given a stay of execution after having a couple of good games so his head is currently not on the block.
Considering one of the Ed's today said that we might not be willing to pay Amorim and his staffs release clauses it's looking like money is tight again so hard to see how we afford to replace the above.

Babbitt, I agree with this comment from your more than any comment I've read on here this week, a major factor in our faltering season for me
"Klopp isn't really enhancing individuals' games anymore which is what he was known for. Diaz, Nunez, Gakpo, Szoboszlai, Elliott, Gravenberch haven't taken off like we would have hoped". You could argue all have regressed this season or since they came in, that's the biggest worry.
