Read a rumour we're interested in Norwegian youngster Jens Hjertø-Dahl. Not sure if any light can be shed, if it hasn't already. Thanks again as always.
{Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry. Can't see how he would get a Worrk Permit.}
1.) 15 Aug 2024 20:51:20
Just a thought, is the reason we r not buying anyone anything to do with FSG looking to expand their portfolio. Just a thought as they where looking at Toulouse and it’s not like us to have not bought anyone yet.
{Ed001's Note - no.}
2.) 15 Aug 2024 23:16:46
Gonna be Roald Dahl at this rate.
3.) 16 Aug 2024 02:13:34
Oddly Roald Dani was born in Wales.
4.) 16 Aug 2024 04:22:17
Very much so WDW3, being born in Wales is odd.
5.) 16 Aug 2024 05:58:43
BFG out!
6.) 15 Aug 2024 21:40:22
Thanks for the quick reply Ed ?.
7.) 15 Aug 2024 23:00:10
Ed if you don't mind me asking, how do you see our future under FSG and do you think they will succeed with the multi club ownership? Or do you think they will consider selling us sooner rather than later?
{Ed002's Note - There are no plans to sell Liverpool at present. They are considering multi-club ownership but their options in France have dried up. They would consider an MLS team but right now are focussing on two other opportunities.}
8.) 16 Aug 2024 08:26:04
Come on Stone Age, what’s the Big Friendly Giant ever done to you, he’d win every header in both boxes if we kept him.
14 Jun 2024 09:36:51
Hey All, another recycled rumour perhaps but Levi Colwill is doing the rounds again. Liverpool interested but dependent on Colwill having talks with Chelsea's new boss Maresca. I'm not saying it's true just passing on what I read. Any new updates at all? Have a good day folks.
1.) 14 Jun 2024 14:05:27
You said it your self. it's recycled rumours. The kid signed a 6 year deal last season. Nothing to see here, IMO.
2.) 14 Jun 2024 16:46:24
Oli the fact it’s recycled means it’s resurfaced. Simply a question. An addendum to this is that it come from Graham Bailey who I’ve found to be quite reliable.
3.) 14 Jun 2024 19:51:41
Oli, I think Ed002 has mentioned elsewhere that there is interest in LC but just not from LFC. Half the Chelsea squad signed long term deals, doesn't necessarily mean they're off limits.
4.) 14 Jun 2024 20:25:40
We need someone to push Konate further down the pecking order that’s for sure Bambi on ice springs to mind.
5.) 15 Jun 2024 10:15:22
Frode, the rumour resurfacing (from last season, btw) means nothing starting with the point that Colwill signed a 6 year deal last summer. Did this reliable Graham fellow tell you that? I have NO idea we would be interested in such a player under those conditions BUT maybe you know some things I don't.
{Ed002's Note - Levi Colwill (CB) Chelsea will not look to sell unless the player asks for a move, but they have been asked to meet with PSG to discuss options for Colwill. The player has made it clear that he does not want to play at LB. Chelsea has an interest in a PSG player so something may just be possible. Bayern Munivh want two players from Chelsea and have spoken with the club.}
10 Jun 2024 21:16:44
Hey All, read online that Celtic are pursuing Caoimhin Kelleher and he's tempted by Champions League football. They'd want him for 15m but even that might be a stretch as Liverpool would want 20m plus. Apologies if this has been posted prior. Source [Graham Bailey].
1.) 10 Jun 2024 23:07:29
£20-25m would be fair I think. He’s arguably worth more than that but realistically teams will know he wants to leave, and with less than 50 games under his belt in senior football at 25 years old there is a strong case that £20m is actually still a gamble. It’s a different kettle of fish being the first choice and having the back ups breathing down your neck. As a back up you are far less under scrutiny because it’s accepted that you are prepared to sit on the bench for 90% of the season and might therefore be rusty or at least, not as consistent as the number 1. If he transitions to a number 1 there is no telling how he may react mentally to the added pressure. On pure ability, he looks good enough to start for pretty much any Prem team from Chelsea (6th) down. Doesn’t always work like that though.
2.) 11 Jun 2024 00:06:35
Celtic would be a good move for him, but I can't see them spending £10+m on a goalkeeper (or any player, to be honest), so I don't see how it would be possible.
Maybe straight swap for O'Riley?
3.) 11 Jun 2024 00:22:56
Joe Hart is currently Celtics number 1 - I think the Irish connection is a bit of 2 + 2 = 5.
Caoimhin Kelleher could do a lot better than Celtic unless the Irish thing is a thing.
4.) 11 Jun 2024 05:02:57
Surely kelleher can’t leave for less than Trafford? He’s ten times a better goalie and actually has lots of PL starting experience, has won two league cup finals, has played in Europe, etcetera, we’re not talking about a talented reserve keeper who has the tools to make the step up, we’re talking about an actual premier league caliber goalie who can’t take the starting spot from Alisson, if he leaves for the same or less than Trafford (who wanted to leave as much as kelleher does) it would be an absolute travesty.
{Ed001's Note - Trafford couldn't even hold down a place at Burnley because he is dog muck, with the kicking prowess of someone playing football for the first time. So far up his own backside as well. I can't believe any team would be interested in signing him, let alone to spend money on such dross.}
5.) 11 Jun 2024 05:18:36
As an aside Ed, Kompany had free rein to make a lot of dodgy signings with the owner giving him the liberty to build his team in the long run, the fact that he left Burnley saddled with all of them after jumping ship to Bayern, when they might not fit the new manager’s vision in the least, does not reflect very well on him.
{Ed001's Note - and the fact that almost all of them flopped makes it bizarre that Bayern would even want him.}
6.) 11 Jun 2024 06:32:02
I think he would be a mug to go to the SpL, he’s better than that.
7.) 11 Jun 2024 06:39:47
King Carlos
Joe Hart has retired I think ?.
8.) 11 Jun 2024 07:30:09
Am amazed that Newcastle haven’t considered him. I mean Kelleher is 100 times better than Trafford!
9.) 11 Jun 2024 07:50:41
Surely a deal with a buy back option would make sense.
10.) 11 Jun 2024 09:16:44
Buy back or sell on percentage. other top teams do it all the time, I see no reason why we can't. Personally, I'd loan him for 2 years to a top tier team like what happened with Courtois, though I guess it's based on demand and players wishes etc. definitely a good player there.
11.) 11 Jun 2024 10:18:21
Celtic'd be a great move for any Irishman, just can't see how they can afford him.
12.) 11 Jun 2024 16:11:38
In Celtics 137 year history they're record spend is 16 million Euros.
Kelleher would likely cost double that.
Celtic win the league every season more or less easily enough already. Spending 30 odd mill on a keeper is hardly going to improve that.
13.) 11 Jun 2024 23:55:53
I agreed with stuie_boy - think he has come out saying he would love to be number 1 at LFC, if we organise a loan move to a relatively top team in two years time if he has been successful, it would be a good Alison replacement with him at his peak GK age. But finding a top club who would take a GK to start know their intention is going back after a couple of years would be difficult.
09 Jun 2024 10:57:55
Interesting from Graham Bailey a fairly reliable journalist from my experience, who like the Ed's said we're not in for Ederson. His follow up point however about it being related to Bajetic being used as the key figure in that position. Could be interesting given that we're putting a lot of faith in a player who was decent for half the season.
1.) 09 Jun 2024 11:58:24
Don’t believe any of the local journos who are fed coordinated briefs throughout the window. You recognise who is in charge again.
2.) 09 Jun 2024 12:21:35
I’d love for us to be in the conversation for ederson, he looks a top midfielder who can do everything in the center of the park, great athlete and covers the length of the pitch, not completely sure we need another midfielder but if he’s available he’s really fit us imo (though I’m also fine sticking with Endo)
3.) 09 Jun 2024 13:37:48
Cant fault Endo's effort Patrik but he's probably the person in the first 11 who can be improved upon the easiest.
4.) 09 Jun 2024 19:44:09
Is Baj ready for weekly mens football at this level or should he be eased in to navigate growing pains etc?
We are stacked in MF, yet many are saying we need a 'proper DM'.
I don't know enough about Slot or the intricacies of the game to really know, but If I were choosing, Grav would be sacrificed for a sitter.
5.) 10 Jun 2024 01:22:44
@Vango, as with Bradley and Quansah, Baj isn’t going to play 60 games next season. If Slot thinks the DM position is covered with Endo and Baj, with back-up from Macca then we may try and work with what we have. Personally I’d like another DM who is an automatic starter with top level experience, but given I’ve wanted an Aston Martin every year for Christmas for years and years I understand that I don’t always get what I want.
6.) 10 Jun 2024 01:52:56
I think we should target a genuine solid DM. Endo is great but will need replacing soon, so to cover and work alongside for a season or two would be ideal. Having Baj learn and grow with a decent DM we should have two starters for each position like City and use the cover in cup games. Same with LB. Robbo will unfortunately need replacement and all good to mention chambers but another quality player is needed for same reasons. To cover and replace and have the younger learn from.
7.) 10 Jun 2024 02:19:30
I would think that either Jones or Grav are at risk of being sacrificed if a new midfield player is being brought in. I would like to see how Baj gets on though. Rotating game time between him and Endo seems ideal to me. Endo hasn't done too badly and although he isn't on the same level as prime Fabinho, he still makes us much more solid in the centre of the field.
8.) 10 Jun 2024 10:01:09
We need to add quality in certain posistions, and CDM is the main one for me.
9.) 10 Jun 2024 14:26:40
Didn't we read that Slot likes to play with 2 pivots ie. 2 DMs? So unless TAA is already penciled in as the second pivot, we will still need a DM despite having Endo and Bajcetic around.

Unpopular opinion but VVD with Robbo as vice? Trent has done little to prove he’s a captain for me. Down the line though.
1.) 18 Jul 2023 11:48:10
What has Robbo done that Trent hasnt?
2.) 18 Jul 2023 11:54:54
I wouldn't be against it. If I remember correctly four captains are chosen; two main ones by Klopp and the remaining two by the players. I can see Klopp selecting VVD as the main captain. So TAA and Gakpo (that's my choice) wouldn't be bad choices as vice captains and for the future.
I think Salah will be p. ed if he's not picked as one the captains again.
3.) 18 Jul 2023 11:59:49
Give Trent the captaincy and watch him grow. Robbo as deputy for me. Both are capable leaders.
4.) 18 Jul 2023 13:51:53
Van Dijk struggles when he has the armband imo. I'd make Robbo captain. Although his own form could've been better late last season.
5.) 18 Jul 2023 17:12:36
V V D ALL DAY FOR ME
V CAPTAIN ALLISON.
6.) 18 Jul 2023 18:14:18
Salah as captain with Virgil and Alisson as vice captains. Salah is the ultimate professional and has been leading by example since the day he joined. Disciplined player who doesn't argue with refs or opposition players, not petulant, rarely injured and exemplary off the field. Captain Mohamed for me hands down.
7.) 18 Jul 2023 19:30:44
None of our players after hendo have true leadership qualities. At a push Robbo is close but larks around too much. VVD, Trent etc are really not great captain material.
09 Jul 2023 19:45:54
i don't think Doak will be world class. Not saying he won’t, but there’s no evidence to support it.
1.) 09 Jul 2023 20:01:35
Excellent deep dive analysis.
2.) 09 Jul 2023 20:20:26
Frode doesn’t need to explain.
What he says, shall be so.
3.) 09 Jul 2023 20:20:26
Frode doesn’t need to explain.
What he says, shall be so.
4.) 09 Jul 2023 20:33:22
Frode ??.
5.) 09 Jul 2023 20:36:46
@Frode, you should have stopped after the first three words.
Nobody has said Doak is going to be world class so it’ll be a pleasant surprise for us all if it turns out that he does build on his undoubted potential and becomes world class.
6.) 09 Jul 2023 21:13:31
Thanks for being the bearer of bad news again. Your detailed analysis on why we should write players off is outstanding.
7.) 10 Jul 2023 01:36:15
And the point of the post is what exactly?
Someone been on the turps?
8.) 10 Jul 2023 08:15:28
This is the way ?.
9.) 10 Jul 2023 11:04:54
Thanks, Frode Kippers. Anything else like when the U. S faked the moon-landing?
10.) 10 Jul 2023 11:27:29
Someone else put it in another post and said Doak would be world class.
It’s hilarious to see everyone having a hissy fit though.
05 Jul 2023 22:44:25
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Elliot will never ever be a suitable replacement for Salah. He has ability, but not in the same stratosphere let alone league as Mo.
1.) 05 Jul 2023 23:20:57
No need to be be sorry about it, because some of us have the same suspicion. However, it also doesn't mean we've written him off in the swift manner you've done. Early days still.
2.) 05 Jul 2023 23:27:32
Who said anyone is expecting him to be?
3.) 05 Jul 2023 23:33:53
That's bad news?
4.) 05 Jul 2023 23:46:11
wow what a brave call.
I'm also wondering what is the point in making this claim?
It's not really helpful or empowering for anyone, just seems like a pointless waste of energy.
5.) 05 Jul 2023 23:56:55
I thought Elliott is a totally different type of player.
6.) 06 Jul 2023 00:29:12
Even if we ignore all the ways they are totally different types, tell me again where salah was at 20 and in how many ways he looked like someone who would turn in to being a record breaking world class player?
7.) 06 Jul 2023 00:30:48
Not to mention he’s only 20!
I’m assuming when Salah was bombing it at Chelsea you were posting how he was going to be one of the best right wingers in Premier league era?
FFS!
8.) 06 Jul 2023 01:02:06
Thanks Frode Kippers, devastated now, my life will never be the same again.
9.) 06 Jul 2023 01:10:03
Why are we replying to this nonsense?
10.) 06 Jul 2023 01:48:35
Nonsense stuffs attract the most attention.
11.) 06 Jul 2023 01:49:38
OK harry.
12.) 06 Jul 2023 03:15:48
He doesn’t even play in the same position, bad comparison, might as well say he’ll never be a suitable replacement for Van Dijk while we’re at it.
13.) 06 Jul 2023 05:37:10
At last now that we’ve heard the bad news we can ‘process’ it and start to get on with the rest of our lives. Done, sorry what was the bad news again?
14.) 06 Jul 2023 05:59:04
He shouldn’t be trying to replace Salah. Elliott will never be fast or athletic enough to be a top team’s star player, especially in any of the wide positions. If there is one player Elliott should be looking to model his game on, it’s *deep breath* Bernardo Silva. Elliott has superb ball control, a low centre of gravity, and an excellent delivery on occasion. He’s not as wiry or wily as Bernardo Silva, but there’s no reason he couldn’t be in 5 years.
15.) 06 Jul 2023 06:13:49
I’ve never seen him as a salah replacement, I think he’s best suited to the firmino type role.
16.) 06 Jul 2023 07:33:19
Truth is 99% of current players in world football wouldn’t be able to replicate or replace Salah on that right wing for us.
That’s not a thing to beat Elliot down with.
When the time comes I think we’ll have to adjust playing wise and expectations of what we expect from our right winger.
17.) 06 Jul 2023 07:56:53
Frode Kippers, that is your opinion despite you framing it as a fact.
In my opinion all of Elliott's best football thus far in his career has been played on the right wing. His season at Blackburn as a RW was exceptional. He had 9 goals and 11 assists i believe. Even for us last season, his best games were on the wing in the cups when Salah was rested, including that performance against Wolves that he capped with a wonder goal from 25 yards.
Don't get so hung up on like for like replacements. Elliott doesn't need to be Salah. He doesn't need blistering pace or 30 goals a season if he contributes in other ways. Grealish and Silva started out wide for Man City in nearly all their biggest games last season. Neither of them have blistering pace and neither score much more than 10 goals a season. Do they drag City down? No. Because they work so hard and commit defenders in other ways to create more space for the central players like Haaland and De Bruyne.
I am still of the belief that If Elliott is to have a long term career at Liverpool as a starting XI player, it will be on the right wing in some capacity as that is where he consistently performs well. He doesn't need to be Mo Salah to do that. Mac Allister and Szoboszlai will score more goals than Hendo and Thiago's 1 or 2 a sesson. Nunez/ Gakpo will score more than Bobby's 10 a season. Jota/ Diaz can easily match Mane's 20 a season. Who ever replaces Salah doesn't need to be as good in the same ways. Teans evolve and you develop new threats from other areas. Personally, I'd rather he was the first Harvey Elliott than the next Mo Salah. Maybe he will end up as a midfielder or maybe he'll end up covering a little bit in both roles. Maybe he will even be sold. Who knows. One thing is for sure, is you can't confidently write off a 20 year old and display that opinion as a fact. At the same age Salah flopping at Chelsea.
18.) 06 Jul 2023 08:55:31
Who's going to tell Elliott? Or Klopp?
19.) 06 Jul 2023 11:04:40
Completely agree MK. Other than at the age of 20, Salah was still at Al Mokawloon in the Egyptian league, about to move to Basel.
20.) 06 Jul 2023 10:49:45
@Rigsby, Frode is, of course.
02 Jul 2023 13:15:48
Funny the number of people wanting to sell Thiago he’s still our best midfielder. If a silly offer from Saudi comes in then sure. But if it’s 10 mil from Barcelona I’d rather keep him for the year.
1.) 02 Jul 2023 13:51:18
I have to echo your thoughts mate. He is obviously our most talented midfielder and for a good part of the previous season looked like the only one who actually wanted to play.
I think no one denies his talents but obviously people are frustrated with his lack of availability. If he was fit I don't think there would be any talk of selling him.
2.) 02 Jul 2023 13:46:52
Look at his GROSS stats and compare to others in our midfield.
He probably is our best midfielder, for the handful of games he is fit.
I love him to bits but his body has demonstrated the ability to hold up over the length of an EPL season.
£10m is probably a bit low, but it wouldn’t take much more than that in my view.
3.) 02 Jul 2023 14:08:27
I am a great admirer of Thiago and watching him live gives me goose bumps but with taking the red tinted glasses off his availability is a huge concern and last season he couldn’t get a run of games together to get his form up so was probably his worst season under us.
It’s been said that him, Klopp and the medical team brought his surgery forward a few months ago so he would be ready for this season.
My inner selfish self would love to see him have his final season with us and have an absolute blinder and be rotated and brought off and wrapped in cotton wool.
But the other side of me also says if he is moved on then it would be understandable.
But I think a few players fall into this category.
4.) 02 Jul 2023 14:25:52
I think we failed Thiago personally and I’ll explain. His fitness inconsistencies were well known even with Bayern so I can easily guess that Klopp already knew this so nobody should be surprised he cannot play 10 games in a row in a more physical league w/ o pulling up.
Hence why I think the club failed him is that we did not put the right bodies nor legs around him via transfers or whatever) to lighten his load and do the running for him, something Bayern did with Kimich and Goretzka around him that allowed him to flourish in his final season esp where he was key to them winning the treble. Even last season for the games he actually played, he was very combative and made lots of tackles and win the ball cleanly first the most part, IMO. We all knew that was unsustainable at the time too.
Personally, we did not harness his full potential and it’s a pity cos when fit, there is near nobody in the PL that can do what he can do and we have lots of examples to choose from. Sad.
5.) 02 Jul 2023 14:38:30
No one said he’s not a good player he’s just not consistent and more of a passenger than a passer!
He’s on massive wages and if nice money came in I’d wish him the best!
6.) 02 Jul 2023 14:46:38
Personally, I feel we should look to offload Thiago. The guy is 32, he earns between £200,000 and 225,000 per week, and has missed countless matches through injury. The injury record was a problem we all knew about going in, he was injury prone well before now, but we overlooked it due to his ability. However, in recent times, I feel like we have seen a regression in that respect, no doubt due to having to re-find his form again and again.
Thiago was brought in as the vital cog in midfield, the man was the primary connector between the defence and our offensive unit. He was tasked with retaining possession and switching the play to create overloads with his excellent vision and range of passing. That was the idea, at least.
However, your midfield can not operate when your vital component can not consistently be available. I also, and I know people will disagree, but I have found Thiago more style over substance. He slows our play down when in possession, waiting and turning to find the best option rather than release early to further the play. The issue being, Salah, Nunez, Diaz, etc, operate far better when on the move, ready to receive while the opposition defence has been bypassed.
I also find he is poor on transition, particularly from offensive to defensive. The amount of silly fouls he gives away, lunging in when the moment calls to delay, allow his team mates to regroup, is absurd. He has been lucky, more often that not, to not be sent off, due in part to poor officiating. But, this habit has become ingrained, it would seem, because he keeps doing the same thing with the results being the same every time.
Thiago's assist record, also, for someone of his ability, leaves much to be desired. He joined in 2020, and has provided 6 assists in that time. 6 assists in 97 games!? For someone of his ability and vision!?
Don't get me wrong, Thiago looks the part, he is very stylish in his play but, for me, he does not offer enough for the wages we are paying him. Our midfield has been calling out for greater dynamism, players that can press and harry opposition, and Thiago, Fabinho and Hendo just don't have the legs any more. They are not the answer. That has been evident last season, and the reason for our focus on midfield reinforcement.
If a 15 to 25 million bid comes in, I'd say take it. There is no point on relying on a player that, one, will not be available next season due to contract expiration, and two, can not play consecutive games without picking up another injury.
7.) 02 Jul 2023 14:53:31
He can't stay fit. Wonderful player but can't stay fit. I'd sell if we could.
8.) 02 Jul 2023 17:15:50
Spot on Oli.
The better the framework around him, the more quality he'll show. Hopefully it will help his availability too, although that remains to be seen.
It looks like we're doing upgrade on that framework too.
If we keep signing quality midfielders though Thiago will have a fight on his hands just to get a starting place. Especially if the new signings hit the ground running.
9.) 02 Jul 2023 19:38:08
Exactly, Flash. im not saying he should play every game cos clearly he can't. The framework you speak of being adopted now is what would have helped him and even prolonged his career with us. Sadly, it wasn't done hence, why I feel he is being judged harshly, IMO.
02 Jun 2023 11:49:45
Do people really subscribe to the narrative that selling the only striker we have who consistently scores goals just because he’s a season older is a good idea? I’d take Salah over Nunez any day of the week, who I think doesn’t have a football brain, unfortunately. I like his raw ability, but he’s an inferior option based on prior seasons.
1.) 02 Jun 2023 13:42:53
All depends on if mo wants to stay. If mo starts acting like mane did then yes sell but if he’s happy and wants to fight for our club then definitely keep him he’s amazing.
2.) 02 Jun 2023 14:16:34
It's all about opinions. As I said few days back I won't mind selling Salah and tweak the formation from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 that's what I think it's the evolution of Klopp era and the players we have atm.
If Klopp continues to replicate what worked for us in the past then unfortunately I can see him getting sacked or leaving mutually ?
He biggest masterstroke was not to replace Coutinho directly like vs like think he needs again to use that masterstroke by tweaking the system/ formation instead of trying to replicate they system/ formation with completely different skill set of players.
3.) 02 Jun 2023 15:10:13
I agree, OP. Selling Salah (except we are broke for cash, for sure) should not even be entertained, IMO.
4.) 02 Jun 2023 21:36:48
Sell Salah?
No.
{Ed025's Note - that would be a massive mistake for me rigsby..

What exactly did Mane do before he left? Hardly a menace was he?
Anyways not sure Mo is valued around the world like he is here. I’m ok with him staying but I’d like him to be more involved. I’d take more involvement over more goals.

People refusing to blame the owners… they hire these people and as a result are culpable for these failures. It starts from the top.

Here we go WDW, can never criticise the club, who have been diabolical and inept from the summer. But no, blames the player. Players come and go all the time, problem for us is we’ve won one title in 34 years because of our ineptitude in the market.

Ali not in the top 10? Are you kidding the man is the best out there. Best shot stopper and the best distributing.

KremlynCatt? I’m not here to correct anyone it’s an opinion, you have yours and I have mine. I feel my points are grounded in valid scepticism. If you think the squad is good enough, great I hope you’re right. I don’t, why am I a sceptic? History. Like I said I hope I’m wrong and we clean up.
Cheers to the Ed’s too for all their clarity and updates.

Regardless of what’s going on behind closed doors WDW, the bottom line is you don’t allow three of your top players to enter the final, final, final stages of a contract where they can sign for other clubs. It should have been resolved in the summer and the fact you’re prone to defending the ineptitude at the top makes fans like you part of the problem. Call it for what it is… rubbish from the club.

Beckers Pecker no one is asking you to be offended or outraged, but if you don’t think a line has been crossed then you’re deluded. He’s in a high profile position and you can’t say what he said, bottom line. If the term Scouse had been replaced with ethnicity, nation etc there’d be carnage. There’s a passiveness because of the Scouse comment. Furthermore calling Klopp a c**t, couldn’t care less what you think about him, you don’t do that. He needs removing as he’s brought his position into disrepute and there’s evidently a conscious or unconscious bias in his feelings.

You should have tried being at the game StEtienne, that was a real life tirade of rants like the chat you’re mentioning. We were woeful first half and the poorness of the performance galvanised the crowd. We turned it around and we played well second half. Are the team immune from criticism : NO.
03 Nov 2024 10:03:26
Jesus WDW are Liverpool as a club immune from criticism? You condemn every opinion and attitude that critiques the club. Context and rose tinted spectacles aside we were woeful first half and I know because I go the games. We’re winning, but we were top for large portions last season and fell off a cliff towards the end, so scepticism is warranted given we’ve won one title in about 35 years.

I can’t blame him for wanting to leave, we’ve toed the line in regards to ambition and given Klopp’s tenure we should have invested more when we were on top to reaffirm those positions. He’s guaranteed silverware at Real, so whilst I’d be disappointed if he were to leave I wouldn’t blame him.
