Everyone else seems to have had a go. I think it's my turn:

Kerkez to be announced tomorrow ?.

stoneage

1.) 25 Jun 2025 19:22:03
Don’t be a wuss, stoneage, call out a time too ?.

2.) 25 Jun 2025 19:23:56
Longest medical in history!

3.) 25 Jun 2025 20:14:28
I'm going to go with 1pm on a day that ends in y.

4.) 25 Jun 2025 20:22:15
@stoneage is that tomorrow BST? :)

5.) 26 Jun 2025 05:10:13
Apparently “the machine that goes ping” wasn’t working so that and some ‘blips’ had to be sorted out. We are trying to get a new machine that goes ‘ping’ as we speak.

6.) 26 Jun 2025 08:09:11
Kirkez Thursday woo hoo.

7.) 26 Jun 2025 15:00:01
You are now the new messiah! Everything you say is now gospel.

21 Apr 2025 16:41:29
Heard we're exploring deals for a current Arsenal academy talent and a veteran Brazilian legend to have a midfield next season of Macca, Saka and Kaka.

stoneage

1.) 21 Apr 2025 17:23:58
I can see us playing tiki taka with Macca, Saka and Kaka.

2.) 21 Apr 2025 17:46:23
Get the xhaka brothers and Carlos bacca up front and we're all set lads.

3.) 21 Apr 2025 17:49:37
Need more steel in midfield, perhaps Xhaka? Wish we had a prime Souness in the team, he was a triple hard madda-fakka!

4.) 21 Apr 2025 17:51:29
Hopefully we could play a friendly neer Lake Titicaca.

5.) 21 Apr 2025 19:22:47
Let's just hope we don't end up with Patson Daka.

6.) 21 Apr 2025 20:48:19
Xhaka would add Granit rather than steel.

7.) 21 Apr 2025 21:18:13
Get that GK named Shaka.

8.) 21 Apr 2025 21:19:49
I really needed a good laugh today after a tough Easter of remembering my mum who passed and this site and members have not let me down! Cheers, YNWA.

{Ed025's Note - condolences for your loss KC..

9.) 21 Apr 2025 22:49:40
I was a big fan of Kaka. Heck of a player in my opinion. Would love a player like him.

10.) 21 Apr 2025 23:06:42
YNWA Kaiser.
I'm happy these guys made you smile a bit. A loss is never easy; I know that firsthand after losing my dad and it's still very raw 2 years later.
Walk on. my friend. walk on.

11.) 22 Apr 2025 13:27:07
We don’t want Xhaka, he’s too much of a hacker.

02 May 2024 01:22:17
Ed's, is Rashford as a replacement for Salah an option?

stoneage

{Ed002's Note - I rather doubt it.}

1.) 02 May 2024 10:06:06
I’d hope not. He’s awful.

2.) 02 May 2024 10:16:39
Good lord! Absolutely not! 1) We're a team, not a group of individuals and b) Man Utd to Liverpool?

3.) 02 May 2024 10:31:41
??????.

4.) 02 May 2024 11:36:31
Haha that's funny.1, he no good n 2, we don't do business either way with each other.

5.) 02 May 2024 12:25:50
Deary me.

6.) 02 May 2024 14:24:31
Wow that ones up there with the bald question!

7.) 02 May 2024 15:05:28
A replacement mardy arse?

8.) 02 May 2024 18:35:34
Rashford bad attitude, shows up about 5-8 games a season. Lazy. I'm sure plenty of United fans wouldn't be too fazed to see him sold this summer. Garnacho way more effort, heart and passion.

9.) 02 May 2024 18:56:29
Rash ford would be a good signing on a 6 month loan deal. The reserves need cover for Ben Doak whilst he recovers from his ACL. Koumas would still be first choice for sure, but at least they’d then have an impact sub.

10.) 02 May 2024 20:50:26
God no.

11.) 03 May 2024 01:32:31
Wow, just wow.

12.) 03 May 2024 06:37:23
Leek in disguise…Leek in disguiiiiiiisssseees…. stoonee aageee you’re Leek in disguise.

13.) 03 May 2024 07:57:59
I actually had to go back and double check them posters name. I originally thought Leek up to his old tricks again.

14.) 03 May 2024 14:02:35
It was just for banter, guys! Some excellent replies :) Apart from the Leek comments, that's just one step too far haha.

15.) 03 May 2024 14:59:04
Nice backtrack, Stoneage ?.

16.) 03 May 2024 15:48:42
If you say so Lee. I mean Stoneage

??????????.

17.) 03 May 2024 20:52:25
Yikes!

18.) 04 May 2024 00:45:22
Just for banter haha, good one mate I like it. It's almost as funny as the first one :) . lol. Keep them coming leek.

24 Dec 2022 02:35:02
Hearing that Barcelona aren't happy with Raphinha and may look to sell. Could he be an option for LFC eds? Thanks.

stoneage

{Ed002's Note - No.}

1.) 24 Dec 2022 22:16:43
Over to you VVVV ….

2.) 26 Dec 2022 11:23:22
No chance and not good enough anyway.

3.) 26 Dec 2022 16:17:37
He did ok at Leeds. He’s not had much opportunity at Barcelona yet in fairness, all he has to do is wait for the inevitable Dembele injury to get his chance. Given our threadbare attack we could do worse than sign him on a six month loan.

27 Jan 2022 20:39:03
Hi Ed2. Interesting you've noted this week that the teams that are interested in signing the players LFC have for sale (Philips, Minamino) are those that have players we are interested in too (Bissouma, Raphinha) .

Do you think this means that deals may be easier to strike, as both parties are interested in dealing, rather than it being a hostile takeover?

stoneage

{Ed002's Note - No, I am afraid not.}

1.) 28 Jan 2022 07:21:26
If Miniamino is for sale, why have we apparently canned an Arsenal offer for him?

2.) 28 Jan 2022 08:36:54
Taki should only be loaned out, and if Arsenal made an offer I'd say can cannonly go on laon, no option to buy and let him go there for game time.

20 Jun 2025 20:04:02
Very excited about Florian Friday. What a day!

I have a question for the Eds and posters. Why do footballers have to sign fixed term contracts? I don't know other businesses that do this. Why can't they sign a contract and then play for that team until another team offers an acceptable offer. Would avoid the Bosmans. What's the benefit of the fixed term?

stoneage

1.) 20 Jun 2025 20:09:15
By that rationale Stoneage they could play forever. They’d never had to leave as they’ve signed a contract. They’d get a blinding pension.

2.) 20 Jun 2025 20:12:11
Hey stoneage, I think it’s because the power would be with the club then, like it used to be? If there was no end to the contract, a club could refuse all offers so the player would stay indefinitely.

I think that’s why the Bosman rule came in.

3.) 20 Jun 2025 20:18:49
It would then be the same as any regular job where you just hand your notice in and leave. A contract forces a payment for transfers. There are plenty of jobs where you are contracted for a set amount of time and there are set conditions about potentially leaving/ bonuses/ expenses etc.

12 Jun 2025 05:00:47
Bmena-red check in as safe if you can? Hope all is well with you and yours.

stoneage

24 May 2025 00:39:12
The last time I was this excited about a rumour it was Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Except he didn't sign.

stoneage

1.) 24 May 2025 00:55:43
Haha why on earth were you excited about Klaas-Jan Huntelaar? I remember when he signed for Madrid and thought what an underwhelming galactico he was. I was very excited for the rumoured David Silva/ David Villa Valencia combo deal back in the day.

2.) 24 May 2025 02:11:03
Very very boring player, great poacher though haha.

3.) 24 May 2025 05:20:21
The last time I was this excited was when the Klopp joining stories started coming out. I was like a kid at xmas.

4.) 24 May 2025 06:17:46
Pretty memorable bank holiday weekend upcoming!
-Record club and EPL signing possible soon
-Trophy Presentation Sunday
-EPL Parade Monday

Enjoy everyone!

Ed001 can you believe that signing has gone this way? I had it less than 5% originally

Ed025 not being funny but will you take in the parade from afar perhaps Monday or have a pint with any Red mates?

Ed025 I have seen another mention of Everton interest in Harvey this week. What do think the chances of that happening are and could if be connected to a Braithwaute move across the park?

Ed025 Do you have a shot at Delap?

{Ed025's Note - i will be at the parade KC and will raise a glass to the champions mate because they deserve it, i cant see Harvey coming to us or Jarrad going to you if im honest, i know its seems logical but both will be overpriced by their parent clubs i feel, Delap coming to Everton would be a good move for the lad i think at this stage of his development, i cant see a move to Newcastle where he would be second fiddle to Isaac or becoming part of the toxic culture at United being beneficial to the guy, but as always money and greed especially by agents will dictate that i suppose..

5.) 24 May 2025 07:13:07
My Favourite rumours were Ageuro, Simao, mbappe, Bellingham, I also think Wirtz could be on as well. I hope not though.

16 Jan 2025 19:32:05
I have to say I'm disappointed that Slot didn't manage to come up with a tactic to beat Forest, given that they only play one way. I thought he would be butt-hurt from them inflicting his only PL loss since he came to Liverpool. He had weeks to come up with a plan.

Anyway, it got me thinking- what if Liverpool set up to play exactly the same way? Would it lead to two teams, camped in their own half, with the ball sitting on the centre spot and both teams refusing to come out of their defensive shape? That would be silly.

If it is not OK for both teams to do it, why is it OK for one team to do it?

stoneage

1.) 16 Jan 2025 19:45:28
What on earth are ya banging on bout ?.

2.) 16 Jan 2025 19:45:44
Liverpool battered Forest in the second half. Not sure tactics can legislate for the keeper having a blinder and the defence clearing balls off the line.

3.) 16 Jan 2025 19:49:26
On another day we score 3 in the final half an hour, we were all over them.

Jota and salah didn’t convert their clear cut chances. That’s on them.

Sometimes, it can come down to fine margins on whether chances are converted into goals.

4.) 16 Jan 2025 20:00:15
You can have the best plan in the world but the other team will also have a plan and football isn't played on paper.

5.) 16 Jan 2025 20:21:38
@ stoneage, i think Slot has met a mental block. I don't what's happening to him, he is not the same Slot who changes things around. I think he is feeling the pressure and that affects his decision making.

6.) 16 Jan 2025 20:42:15
He did. Unfortunately the SS guard they have in goal decided to turn into prime Gianluigi Buffon against us, as often seems to be the case. Case in point Spurs’ goalkeeper, who hasn’t used his hands since they played us.

7.) 16 Jan 2025 20:51:32
Some of this is absolute comedy gold.

8.) 16 Jan 2025 21:09:23
I have to say I thought we threw everything at them they just put their body’s on the line extremely well that day. Only thing missing was a coutinho in his prime or Suarez in his prime to unlock the door. That bit of magic was missing, and Macca is taking the spot where I think we need that sort of creative mind. Slot did everything he could and Jota nearly won the game but alas it was not to be. I don’t get the doom and gloom at all. I would say we do miss a creative midfielder though I thought that could be Jones but it’s not looking likely. There is definitely someone out their who could take maccas spot from this team. Wouldn’t mind seeing Lucho in there with Jota up top and Gakpo Salah on the wings with Szlob and Grav making up the midfield. I think that could work with Jota and Lucho swapping positions during the game.

9.) 16 Jan 2025 22:26:15
we didn't put away the chances.

sometimes football is as simple as that.

But then it's followed by days of fans making it was more complicated and using things we can have no knowledge of as evidence.

02 Jan 2025 01:09:41
Remember when Griezmann did that “I’m staying” video and it was the cringiest thing ever? I wish Salah would do that ahaha.

stoneage

1.) 02 Jan 2025 13:59:22
That was funny, I must say.

2.) 02 Jan 2025 14:16:56
It was even funnier when Pique tweeted "se queda" (he stays) and Neymar left anyway.

Have you forgotten that Robbo made a mistake in nearly every game he played in last year? If it wasn't a goal it was a penalty. He was getting slated on a weekly basis on this site as the weak link in the team and I'm baffled now that there seems to be 100% support to keep him. I love him, but it's time to go. No passengers. You don't keep someone on £160k per week just cos he tells good jokes in the dressing room. Get some money in, use it to strengthen the team, and promote from the youth ranks if Kerkez gets an injury.

What if Salah or Wirtz get injured next season and we’ve sold Elliot? Where does that leave us? It’s a squad game. We need to keep our best players.

stoneage

{Ed077's Note - Elliot will probably be injured by that time ? Keeping a more injury prone player to backup a player who rarely even gets subbed off, let alone injured, is quite ridiculous, For the said player too. For his own career Harvey needs a move. He won't get his couple of games every International break anymore either

Actually think we might have got those two extra points by spending less. If we’d bought the right* player (s) with that money instead of Keita.
*don’t know who.
