What's the chances of Ndidi Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - very slim Leicester are not interested in selling him.}

1.) 19 Mar 2018 15:19:20
I like Ndidi and think he would be a good replacement for Emre. I would still like to see someone of Jorginho's ilk come in as well though. Someone to pull strings from deeper when needed. With Naby Keita arriving too I think those three would be an excellent mix and would allow us to take our time finding someone to replace Phil without getting desperate.

2.) 19 Mar 2018 18:04:33
I would take Ndidi tomorrow as he is very good and LFC fans will have a good chance to assess him as he will be on duty with Nigeria at the WC. Now will LC sell? That is another issue as Ed02 has said.

3.) 19 Mar 2018 21:32:15
I want both Ndidi and Jorginho to join Keita at the club. Yes, that means 3 new first choice mids in one window but Klopp knows very well that the above 3 can help the team dictate play and take our game to the next level.
I'd give the GKs and defenders another season and concentrate on strengthening the midfield for now.

4.) 20 Mar 2018 10:19:49
finding someone to replace phil? he's a good player i get it, but id say that his role has already been replaced by another role.

its not about replacing him anymore next window, its about taking the club to another level.

19 Nov 2017 11:54:47
Morning Ed's and Red's. Can anyone tell me the name of the young CB Ed025 was talking about on the Sharkpod please.

{Ed002's Note - Perr Shuurs.}

1.) 19 Nov 2017 15:54:53
Thanks Ed.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome Barry.}

15 Oct 2017 11:43:10
Ed001what's your gut feeling on Liverpool going into the transfer market in January? I know it's not a ideal time to move buy we really are crying our for a CB and a DM.

{Ed001's Note - I expect us to try once more for VVD to be honest.}

1.) 15 Oct 2017 12:30:48
Should we not get VVD I fear De Vrij could be a target, surely not? I can't think off the top of my head who would be available/ want to join us in Jan or even summer, somebody good enough that is. De Vrij isn't, he wouldn't improve us at all but his name is been banded about and I don't like the idea of it one bit.

2.) 15 Oct 2017 12:25:48
Ed 001 who can your realistically see us singing in the next two windows? I know it’s guess work but who would you sign?

{Ed001's Note - I am sure there will be a few choruses of You'll Never Walk Alone. ;-)

Seriously, not a clue, VVD is still wanted but looks out of reach. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a right back brought in though as well as a centre back.

I really do not know who I would sign, it is still a long way off January and that is not really the time to do any major squad work. The summer will be dictated in large part by the World Cup.}

3.) 15 Oct 2017 14:05:29
Okay thank you Ed! Definitely want a CB in Jan.

4.) 15 Oct 2017 20:25:59
Lucas played 90 minutes for Lazio in a 2 _1 win at juventus they ain't been beat there for time he would been ideal patrolling in front of defence this season til we get someone else too do job allowing front 5 too do there thing, saves money if u keep the right players playing in right positions also wid valuable experience.

5.) 15 Oct 2017 21:23:42
Vvd most definitely is not the answer to our defensive woes. As Eds1 said about a year ago he daydreams.

6.) 15 Oct 2017 23:56:37
Maybe he day dreaming bout us, there are other centre backs out there crazy we can't identify any an bring them in too add strength too our weaknesses.

7.) 15 Oct 2017 20:43:36
Ed001 - is the news of a right back because TAA and Gomez aren't progressing as quickly as possible. Or are they looking to move Gomez into the centre?

{Ed001's Note - because Clyne is unwanted and TAA is not expected to have a future there. Long term Gomez is expected to move central, but not for a couple of seasons at least.}

8.) 15 Oct 2017 22:06:54
I'm surprised you say we may look for a right back considering how well Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been playing in that position - surely it would only limit their chances in the team?

Unless of course Gomez is to be used at centre back and TAA in midfield/ on the wing going forward.

Thoughts Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - TAA has not been impressing though, he has struggled defensively.}

9.) 16 Oct 2017 01:08:00
You mention that you think a right back will come in, I'd have thought that would be the least of our worries with TAA, Gomez, Flanno and Clyne all on the books. Are you expecting multiple departures in January?

{Ed001's Note - Clyne is completely unwanted, he was playing last season out of necessity, he is going as soon as the club can get rid. Flanno is still not anywhere near his best and TAA is struggling with the defensive side and is likely to move into midfield.}

10.) 16 Oct 2017 03:01:37
Another RB? Looks like Clyne's days are numbered and Gomez might be going back to CB. Not convinced by VVD still especially at 70 million pounds. Klopp needs to get this right with the fees being bandied about.
Any idea which RB the club might look to? Plus we also need a striker with Sturridge not making an impression and both Origi and INgs unlikely to get a look in again. Timo Werner would be a great addition. Along with Gabriel Jesus, he is the other young striker i am most impressed with.

{Ed001's Note - Henrichs, Pereira, Tete, Marusic - off the top of my head we have looked at all four, though it is a long way off so not yet sure which is likely, as it is probably going to be for the summer. The RB was about the next 2 windows. Clyne's days have been numbered for a while.}

11.) 16 Oct 2017 09:25:05
Ed good info as usual mate, regarding VVD you say you expect us to push for him in Han but you also say he looks out of reach? Just puzzled as why we don't look at another CB if indeed he is out if reach.

{Ed001's Note - because he is the one Klopp really wants.}

12.) 16 Oct 2017 10:13:10
Interesting your comments ed 01, I have thought for a while Trent more suited too a midfield role, I can't believe we don't want clyne he is best right back we have, Gomez is excellent but inexperienced an more suited too centre back, again with all this in mind jus points too really bad preparation in transfer window for such a pivotal season, we also have baggage of 3 quality players who are on there way out an don't want too b with us.

{Ed001's Note - Clyne is awful. What good is a player who can't attack nor defend?}

13.) 16 Oct 2017 12:32:54
Gomez's development is on track. If he continues to perform like he did last Saturday when he showed a maturity well beyond his tender years I can see him becoming a fixture of this LFC side.

14.) 16 Oct 2017 13:40:40
Gomez is the real deal for me to be honest I think he's got a huge part to play for us.

31 Aug 2017 08:36:54
Ed where are we with Lemar? Are we anywhere near a medical or are negotiations still on going?

{Ed001's Note - I am not aware of any medical yet, but there is plenty of time, we can agree to sign him subject to a medical anyway and then do the medical after the window shuts. The medical is not really an issue.}

1.) 31 Aug 2017 08:42:13
Does this mean the deal is likely? Reports Klopp will look to spend £175m today, that's got to be on VVD and Lemar isn't it at those kind of figures?

2.) 31 Aug 2017 08:48:18
U think deal is possible ed.

{Ed001's Note - yes it is possible. Probable even.}

3.) 31 Aug 2017 09:01:44
Yes ed1!

4.) 31 Aug 2017 09:01:44
Thank's for the reply Ed best of luck today. I can parachute you in so Valium if you get stuck.

{Ed001's Note - please do.}

5.) 31 Aug 2017 09:04:32
I could be very wrong but MAYBE Lemar is dependant on Coutinho leaving - which MAYBE a deal maybe announced tomorrow - preventing us being held to ransom on signing a replacement.
It might be Coutinho can leave, subject to us signing his replacement.
A few possible maybe's but all possible, or we may just sign Lemar anyway!

On a separate note, thanks mainly to Eds and all for one of our most entertaining, busy and exciting transfer windows - it's been emotional!

6.) 31 Aug 2017 09:00:45
Cheers buddy not very often I post so thanks an good luck for today.

7.) 31 Aug 2017 09:07:29
What about this guy Stan by the medical staff are waiting at the airport to see?

8.) 31 Aug 2017 09:16:54
Hi Eds, do you think with less than 24 hours VVD deal can happen?

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

9.) 31 Aug 2017 09:52:50
Ed01. Do you want the 2mg or the 5mg Valium? I have both. I've been using mostly the 5mg since the last week. This window has shattered my personal life.

{Ed001's Note - just give me them all.....}

10.) 31 Aug 2017 09:29:55
Ed002, do you simply copy and paste that response - you must have it set as a standard answer by now! Understandably so too.
The site is for people like me to read and see what others are saying, that's why I come here anyway, and for the banter of course
Keep fighting the good fight Eds 👍.

11.) 31 Aug 2017 10:47:24
Eds I can always send some morphine patches if needed as well.

{Ed001's Note - I always knew you lot were off your faces when you posted on here! At least you are all admitting it now.....}

12.) 31 Aug 2017 11:19:32
Flurba flurba weeeeeedd hic 😜.

13.) 31 Aug 2017 11:20:10
Off our faces? More like pleasantly buzzed.

03 Jan 2017 16:24:59

Morning hope your all keeping well? Anyway what is everyone's plan's for the day of the final? Well I'm going to wake up a bag of nerves that's for sure. Dress the two little red's in all their Liverpool gear and take them up the town for breakfast (Well that's if I can eat) Walk back home to calm the nerves. Kiss the wife and head off to the pub for 3 or 4.

1.) 20 May 2018 12:18:49
Boat from belfast Friday night, arriving early Saturday and starting on the beers! Anyone recommend any good bars to go?

2.) 20 May 2018 12:20:26
445am kickoff here in Australia. Hot chocolates and coffees with my two boys and nephew. Bacon and eggs on the bbq and pancakes to hopefully celebrate a win afterwards.

3.) 20 May 2018 12:29:22
Morning Barry all good my side hope all is well with you. I plan to watch it at home with a few beers see Salah and Bobby score and Henderson lift the trophy and then cry tears of joy for something close to about 20 minutes, gather my thoughts head to the fridge to see I have drank all the alcohol, take a walk to the shops with my Liverpool scarf signing you will never walk alone, drink a few more then head to my favourite website to post with my fellow Reds, then head to bed thinking life ain't that bad.

4.) 20 May 2018 12:47:29
Now that is a well thought through plan Alonso.

{Ed025's Note - im off to pogue mahone in liverpool city centre myself barry about 4-30 with a load of red mates, we may go for chinese first just to put a bit of a lining on the old stomach then if all goes to plan we will head for matthew st to celebrate with all the norwegian crew..

5.) 20 May 2018 12:49:10
it's 2:45am but my boys are keen to watch it live, so it'll be hot chocolates and into the TV room for me. Would love to watch it in a pub, but this is something they just can't miss IMO, hoping for a legendary game.

6.) 20 May 2018 12:58:08
A day off work so I know it will drag. So booked in for day at the tattoo studio so that will pass some time and also can say I got it done the day we won the trophy (fingers crossed)
Then home get the kids kitted up and try not to touch any alcohol. As I do not want a repeat performance of 2005 when I did an all day sesh and do not remember anything. Lesson learnt still haunts me now 😂😂😂

Not long now guys can not wait.

7.) 20 May 2018 13:03:30
Barry, I’ll be coming to Ireland to attend a communion for my nephew and hopefully if all goes to plan I will get out to a pub to see the match. In your county too.

8.) 20 May 2018 13:06:08
Lets hope it all goes according to plan Barry. Its a weird one for me because I think we can smash them quite comfortably so I am confident but it can all go belly up so I am nervous. It would hurt coming all this way not to lift the trophy and bring it back to Anfield but play the way we know we can and it will be a day to remember.

9.) 20 May 2018 13:15:13
Where in oz press, if not too far my lad and I will join the party 😅.

10.) 20 May 2018 13:50:40
I am going to the park with my son. I will then meet my friend to go his house and watch the match on his 8 inch portable.
I would go out but my friend is not allowed out as his mum caught him in the act and is currently grounded.
The worst bit is the 60 inch widescreen downstairs is out of bounds.

18 May 2018 01:36:51
Lad's and Ed001 are we not tempting fate by announcing our"Victory parade"ffs!

{Ed001's Note - we haven't announced it, every team prepares one, Madrid have one prepared, as do both teams in the weekend's cup final. These things can't just happen in the modern era, they have to be planned. It is just they are only normally news afterwards when the losing team's preparations become the butt of jokes.}

1.) 18 May 2018 15:11:22
I'm superstitious myself. I agree that they have to plan it, I wish they hadn't announced anything. Maybe announce it directly after the match is over?

11 May 2018 13:06:14
Hi all just would like to say it's brilliant hearing that Mo is very happy here and that he's not looking to go anywhere but unfortunately they are just word's. Now I'm not saying he's not to be trusted in what he say's but how many time's have we heard player's saying how happy they are (Couthino) and next you hear that they are off. Loyality is not a commodity that modern day footballers are blessed with unfortunately so let's hope he's here for a very long time.

1.) 11 May 2018 16:03:21
If the situation goes the same as Coutinho then i will be happy because then Mo will be here for 5 years. He and the club are in a good place, and after reading klopps letter about Mo for the FWA's then i have no reason to doubt Mo's words! :)

2.) 11 May 2018 16:10:35
Spot on, Alex. Cou was here for 5 years. Mo has been here for 9 months. He is going nowhere and in fact, will be getting an improved deal with higher wages, IMO.

3.) 11 May 2018 16:15:26
5 year's of Mo at Liverpool now would be brilliant.

4.) 11 May 2018 16:38:13
I reckon we’ll at least get another season with him, Klopp will convince him to stay and try win the prem with us and I think he’ll bite at that chance. I can’t see him staying with us longer than two seasons though unless form and injuries go against him.

5.) 11 May 2018 16:49:39
Mo seems happy here and is enjoying his football, I know he’s flirted with the big Spanish clubs and I can see him going eventually, this second half of the season he seems a man who is really enjoying life on and off the field though.

6.) 11 May 2018 17:09:09
If Mo stays for 3 more years we should get plenty of silverware.

Maybe number 19 along with numbers 6 and 7.

7.) 11 May 2018 17:15:47
If he leaves he leaves.
He's had his best ever season.
That's not just down to him.
We've got a great system.
As Ed002 has said, he was fourth choice.
Who knows what would have happened with Brandt or Pulisic
but i think we wouldn't be far from where we are now.

8.) 11 May 2018 17:50:04
Wrong filby. As Ed02 says “players and managers are transient employees, They come and go. ”.

9.) 11 May 2018 19:44:05
You need a name and a brain. That had no relevance to what flidby said.

10.) 11 May 2018 20:15:07
You know of Harry, right Bardzo?!

11.) 11 May 2018 21:07:44
Think you're pretty much agreeing with what flidby said there.

12.) 11 May 2018 23:57:28
Has he commuted off somewhere then Zeddicus?

13.) 11 May 2018 23:58:43
this is just me, but I rekon we can get way to attached to our players. when a "big name" leaves I'm always excited about who is coming in no matter who it is. always have hope!

14.) 12 May 2018 11:38:02
Yep, he now has no clu. er name.

02 May 2018 18:58:51
Come on the mighty RED'S. I haven't been this nervous since my wedding night lad's😁.

1.) 02 May 2018 19:31:13
Fear not Barry, I'm going to tear them a new one!

2.) 02 May 2018 19:37:32
Me too Barry, but your wife, yourself and I got through that night unscathed.

3.) 02 May 2018 20:37:02
So we did BB mate😁 Oh and Salah this half is your's.

4.) 02 May 2018 21:50:01
I just couldn't make it happen Barry mate lol but it was a tram effort ;)

5.) 02 May 2018 22:26:43
Save it for Madrid mate😁.

6.) 02 May 2018 22:34:48
Agree Salah, we don’t have the mentality to park the bus so we parked a tram instead, it just never covered the goal 🤪.

13 Apr 2018 12:32:13
Just told the missus Liverpool v Roma will NOT be missed😁.

1.) 13 Apr 2018 13:23:07
You skillfully ommitted to say what the response was, eh Barry? 😉😁.

I'll be honest and say that based on his Arsenal form I never wanted Ox near the squad never mind the team. As AR I never saw him play before he joined Liverpool but I have to say he gives 110% every time he get's on the pitch I know he has some rough edges but like everyone else he will sort them out.
