Sorry if this is considered throw in out a random name ed, but do we maintain interest in Ante Coric?

Bmena-red

{Ed002's Note - No and he is likely moving elsewhere - there is just money to sort out.}

1.) 13 Apr 2018 19:13:48
Cheers mate!

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

2.) 13 Apr 2018 19:25:53
Is that Roma ed002? if you don’t mind me asking.

{Ed002's Note - It is.}

Hey ed sorry if this is just throwing a random name at you but read on another site about premier league interest in a young defender from Charlton Ezri Konsa, would this be someone Liverpool have ever looked at or someone you consider to be good enough for the step Up? It is, after all where we found Gomez.

Cheers.

Bmena-red

{Ed001's Note - I don't know, the people I knew at Charlton have all left (and glad to do so due to the ownership), and it is difficult to keep track on which youngsters the club are interested in from the Liverpool end, as they keep track of hundreds.}

1.) 12 Dec 2017 21:38:34
Okay cheers for the response.

{Ed001's Note - no worries, sorry I can't help.}

08 Nov 2017 18:34:18
Ed is there any interest in Westham's Reece-Oxford? And if you have seen him play what's your thoughts on him?

Bmena-red

{Ed001's Note - not any more, he has been a bit of a problem since bursting onto the scene. Gone all billy big-time.}

1.) 09 Nov 2017 17:12:22
Made his first appearance for Gladbach last weekend.

Reports coming out that West Ham are considering selling their best young players Oxford, Declan Rice Reece Burke, Domingos Quina and Josh Cullen to raise funds for survival.

Seems odd to me, why not sell the underperforming first team players?

Good win against a good side tonight boys! Shout out to Trent as I love to see a player watching the match with fans!

I am buzzing for this already, would love a big win but my prediction is 2-0 to us, salah and randomly going to say van dijk from a corner!

Where is everyone going to be watching the match?

Bmena-red

1.) 11 Dec 2018 17:28:37
I'm working til 8 but getting the better half to collect me so I can watch on my phone til I get back to the house, should be watching from my house from 8:30.

I can't wait for this game to start, I think napoli will come and try and score 1st to put the pressure on us, hopefully they leave themselves open and we can get an early goal.

2.) 11 Dec 2018 17:47:45
I'll be watching first half on Live Chat as will be travelling home from work, and second half at home!

3.) 11 Dec 2018 18:08:39
It's going to be torture right to the end. Only way it won't be is if we are 3 or 4 nil up with 30 seconds left on the clock.

07 Dec 2018 14:55:50
Would anyone take Harry Wilson back in January? Seems like he could be more useful than sturridhe or origi off the bench or as a rotation option.

Bmena-red

1.) 07 Dec 2018 15:18:39
No, the lad is doing brilliantly at Derby and he'll benefit from a full season there instead of sitting on our bench - remember that dreadful decision to bring Danny Ward back from loan at Aberdeen.

2.) 07 Dec 2018 15:31:21
I think it's much better to leave him be, to develop himself and his confidence to the maximum possible. Klopp can have a serious look in the summer and then decide. We just went through a situation where a player having an excellent loan was brought back and then not used at all (Danny Ward) .

3.) 07 Dec 2018 15:47:18
Poor Danny if only he’d been allowed to stay at Huddersfield for the season when they got promoted his career could be in a completely different place!

4.) 07 Dec 2018 16:22:13
I would say no. This is probably one of the best loan deals we’ve had in a while. Wilson is playing well, scoring and is good for his development.

It’s working for all parties involved, Derby, LFC and the player himself.

5.) 07 Dec 2018 17:38:04
Whilst he would be useful to have in the squad and would get a reasonable amount of game time (imo), I think his development is better served playing every week at Derby rather than here and there for us.

6.) 07 Dec 2018 17:38:21
Fully agree with everyone else on this one. Bringing him back January may do more harm than good. Best time for him is pre season when he has the time to adjust his game for Klopps tactics. Right now he is on fire in a system he is now fully adjusted to. Leave him be as he will come back confident and hungry to take the next step in his career.

7.) 07 Dec 2018 20:35:57
Wilson is killing it at Derby right now so why would we stop the momentum and bring him back into team where he more than likely, will not get the same level of game time like the huge amounts he's getting now? Leave the kid where he is and let him develop and let's see what see what happens next preseason.

{Ed025's Note - i totally agree brover..

29 Nov 2018 21:42:33
You go in to be doing a match review ed? Would love to hear your opinion on a game I didn't expect us to win but one I think we could have won if we had been set up right. cheers.

Bmena-red

{Ed001's Note - I can't watch that again mate, not with the way Neymar, Mbappe and Thiago Silva dived and play acted constantly. I would hate football if I had to watch that twice. It is because of those kind of things that I dislike European football as it is, but that made me hate it. I really don't care about the result, it just made me realise I would give up on football altogether if a European Super League does happen.}

1.) 30 Nov 2018 02:25:54
Nobody can blame you there Ed mate, I wouldn't watch it again if I was paid to!

{Ed001's Note - I couldn't watch it again, it put me in a foul mood watching that. I can cope with the ref clearly being biased towards them, telling our players he had to book Wijnaldum as it was a pull back, just 5 minutes after he had not booked Juan Bernat for the exact same offence, followed by him constantly refusing to book any PSG player for a pull back, including Verratti on at least 2 occasions after he had been booked. Then there was the Verratti challenge and repeated fouls, which was clearly and blatantly a red, plus he made numerous booking offences after that. Even his face after them was incredulous that he had got away with it, again. I can't be doing with it. If it is not Liverpool playing I do not watch European games any more anyway, it is not football, it is just who cheats the best. Fowler help us if that super league comes in as it will destroy football.}

2.) 30 Nov 2018 06:20:23
We didn’t play well enough. So the referee has no significant bearing on the result.

But I cannot help but see the bias stated above. Mane’s penalty was what shocked me incredibly - it was so clearly inside the box and it seemed the other referees had to work extra hard to convince him so - he really didn’t look like he wanted to give it.

What made me really mad was after the game, articles went on about how the PSG front 3 took us apart and how Mane dived for that penalty. Yes, they had good moments but I don’t think they took us apart. And if Mane was the player they were targeting for diving claims, I’m not sure if we were watching the same game.

And Tuchel’s post match comments. I don’t know it’s stress or his head has gotten too big from managing PSG. it was embarrassing.

3.) 30 Nov 2018 06:44:36
actually ed01 its relly difficult for me to watch a lost game always. it hurts damn so much. but I take solace in remembering how tough it must be to be an everton fan!

4.) 30 Nov 2018 07:18:56
I disagree sgynwa. Verratti should've been sent off for that challenge on Joe alone, and that would've changed the complexion of the game which was still finely poised at 1-0 at the time. Although I guess the question becomes would we have managed to take advantage of the situation considering how poorly we played in the first half? I guess we'll never know.

5.) 30 Nov 2018 06:27:12
Agreed Ed, same here mate, it ruined my night. I can handle the loss, it happens but what I can't handle is refereeing like that and their players cheating at every single chance they get! it wound me up big time. At one point I looked forward to big games like that but now I aren't looking forward to them at all. I like a fair game and that wasn't a fair game at all.

Yeah even the thought of the super league is concerning to say the least, I was having a discussion not long ago with a mate of mine about it, football as we know it would never be the same again, that'd be the end of it for me and many others I think, how could it even work? the thought of it working baffles me.

{Ed001's Note - I would stop watching to be honest. I have no interest in it.}

6.) 30 Nov 2018 06:44:36
actually ed01 its relly difficult for me to watch a lost game always. it hurts damn so much. but I take solace in remembering how tough it must be to be an everton fan!

{Ed001's Note - I used to be like that, but now I can enjoy the games as we are exciting to watch, but I still can't stand cheating.}

7.) 29 Nov 2018 09:18:47
I would love your review on this game eds but I totally understand mate I've never watched a game like that and never want to again!

8.) 30 Nov 2018 11:50:44
I can understand that mate it was hard to watch. cheers for reply and hopefully get a nice review of Everton game to read over!

{Ed001's Note - fingers crossed.}

9.) 30 Nov 2018 17:58:16
I expect the Everton review within minutes of the match ending, Tris.

I mean, how hard can it be to write "we were great, they were crap, Salah and Mane both with hat tricks and Bobby got a brace. The rest of the players weren't troubled and enjoyed their afternoon tea by the side of the pitch"?

{Ed001's Note - Ed025 would love that!}

Don't want to sound like an optimistic Walter but I think this match tonight will kick start our attacking flair we saw last season. Few goals for salah and bobby would be nice!

1.) 24 Oct 2018 14:42:04
That made me smile.

2.) 24 Oct 2018 19:06:14
But not as much as the Gooners recent form eh Walter?

3.) 24 Oct 2018 21:06:17
Hey Walter!

Where have you been?
Have not seen you post recently.
Always good to have you re-balance the view against the ever over optimistic supporters who think we will start firing after a quarter of the season has been played!

Hope your keeping well.

4.) 24 Oct 2018 21:25:22
Ive been lurking around but work, kids and a few problems have kept me busy.
Appreciate you asking. All the best.

It was mentioned in the sharkopod that RBL desperately wanted rid of jean-kevin Augustin, wondered why that was Ed as he was highly rated at one stage I think?

Bmena-red

{Ed002's Note - He has been trouble and they want him gone - I am not going to go in to detail but one incident was particularly nasty and involved another player. Rangnick has supported him further than he should have.}

I think grujic and his family felt let down by a lack of game time at Liverpool, that he had been promised by Klopp in an attempt to lure him from Chelsea. He never seemed to be the full package with us ran though I loved him after that header against Barca. Good luck to the lad wherever he ends up!

You know more about him than I do ed, I love watching him when he's on his game but it does seem that he shys away from the big matches. Is this a common misconception or is there truth in it?
Personally for the wages he wants I think we could sign someone as good or better.

Bmena-red

{Ed001's Note - complete misconception. He is another of those players who gets uncalled for abuse over things that are simply not true. I have seen him chase back into the right back position to cover when Bellerin was caught up field, he blocked a cross and someone else picked up the loose ball and the commentator said about how well the guy who picked up the loose ball had done to win it back! When the ball was passed back to Ozil, the commentator just expressed surprise that Ozil had come so deep to pick up the ball. He will never get the credit he deserves.

If you give him movement to pick out, then he will pick it out. His problem is the team around him have not been good enough since he left Madrid. He still manages to create huge amounts of chances, even when Arsenal would miss easy chances galore he was racking up assists. I just don't get what people want from him. They seem to think he should play the Kante role as well or he is being lazy. No one said Bergkamp was being lazy when he didn't chase back and Ozil is even more creative than Bergkamp in terms of numbers of chances. Yet all he gets is abuse.

I have often wondered if he would get the same stick if he didn't look a bit odd.}

Thanks ed I enjoyed reading that. It's nice to see two Liverpool players in the list and can't disagree with anything you have said.
Do you think Salah is better up front? I prefer him cutting in from the wide areas and thought the runs he makes are better suited for a RW. With firming being one of best in the world does it not make sense to play the guys in their natural positions? Understand were playing a more measured style of football now but our 433 last season was outstanding with our front 3 on form.

Bmena-red

{Ed001's Note - I prefer him on the right as well but the team has picked up better results with him up front, so why change it?}
