Firmino back in training today! get in lad! He's going to be so crucial in the final. Speaking of the final, is it me or is time dragging like hell? I just want it to be here already!

1.) 21 May 2019 18:34:13
I agree Salah, two weeks without football is killing me.

2.) 21 May 2019 19:06:40
I’ve resorted to watching highlights of all the games this season.

3.) 21 May 2019 20:20:03
Robbo seems to be okay as well.

Have seen a couple of photos of him there and he looked happy.

4.) 21 May 2019 20:40:23
Seems very long to me. Was there such a gap last year?

5.) 21 May 2019 21:01:09
Dragging like hell. Glad Firmino will be fit to play just hope he plays a lot better than he did in last years final.

6.) 21 May 2019 21:33:34
Welcome back Bobby!
We need those big white teeth on that pitch in Madrid 🔴
Cannot wait for the next Saturday, i need to try and keep calm till then. it's building up though!

YNWA!

7.) 21 May 2019 21:54:22
Doesn't anyone think that origi is a bit of a good omen for us in Europe he could have a big impact, I remember the Dortmund game home an away his form then was great then got injured obviously, but he seems too perform well in cup games for us an when he comes on or slots in, if Bobby ain't on it origi deserves a shot!

8.) 21 May 2019 23:35:57
Sunday was the worst for me, chest infection and no footy to watch : (
I know I was feverish but nearly put the SPL on!

9.) 22 May 2019 08:35:54
I'm glad there's a long gap if it means Firmino and Robbo get fit to play. Same doesn't apply to Kane though!

10.) 22 May 2019 09:26:34
We are always sluggish after long breaks though. Baffles me why the final isn't sooner.

11.) 23 May 2019 11:00:18
Italian and French leagues still have one game to go this weekend. Plus the German and Spanish Cup Finals are on this Saturday. I guess they expected clubs from some of those four leagues to be in the final. They were wrong.

Ejaria to return to Liverpool early, I wonder if he will go elsewhere on loan in January?

1.) 16 Dec 2018 00:37:17
It's concerning that the word going around is that Ejaria left Rangers, and the Scottish league, due to it being too physical.

Hopefully that accusation is nothing more than slander because, if it is true, then that does not bode well for Ejaria's prospects. Every league is physical and you cannot carefully tip toe your way around numerous heavy handed challenges. I doubt many teams will risk bringing him in for fear he might not be willing to win those vital 50/ 50's.

Once again, I hope it is just a rumour because from what I have seen he is a decent player. A technically gifted young man who, at one point, I thought might get a game or two in the first team after a number of positive pre-season performances.

Fingers crossed wherever Ejaria goes he becomes more settled. whether that be Liverpool or somewhere else.

2.) 16 Dec 2018 08:48:02
Its rather telling that Stevie G sent him back, I doubt that will look good on his report card. The lad will need to pull his socks up and sort himself out as that was a bloody good opportunity at a good club with the right manager thrown away.

3.) 17 Dec 2018 00:13:15
Any chance it was a knee jerk reaction to a bad week for rangers? Meh, I’m a hoops fan so whatever.

04 Dec 2018 08:19:56
Hi Ed2, was wondering if there's any chance of you doing a sharkopod anytime soon?

{Ed002's Note - Sure but Ian in the middle of three weeks travel right now so it will newer to the holidays.}

1.) 04 Dec 2018 09:26:51
Fantastic Ed2, thank you, will look forward to that.

{Ed002's Note - No problem}

2.) 04 Dec 2018 10:17:45
Wow nice! Thanks Ed002!

3.) 04 Dec 2018 12:55:43
Ed002 will you be including a trip to the North Pole to see Santa on you travels?

Hope you have some quality down time in your time away.

{Ed002's Note - perhaps I should.}

I see a lot of moaning going on which is fair enough, everybody has the right to speak their minds but I urge you to think about the most important thing and it's we're joint top of the league undefeated.

It's too easy to have a good moan, believe me I get it. We've not being playing the best football, far from it anyway but we're getting the results. Can we continue playing like this? sure we can, it's working somehow. I expected us to absolutely destroy Huddersfield but we didn't and that's that, it was hard to watch because of how poorly we played BUT we got the three points.

I have no idea what's going on in the background, I don't really think anything is going on, I don't think there's any issues I just think for some odd reason we're taking a bit longer than usual to get back into it, we're on what? game 9? it's a matter of time before the lads start to pull it together but even if they don't, there's no complaining from me why? because we're getting the 3 points from the teams last year we'd of drew against.

Onwards and upwards, good things are coming, we've made progress already, trust Klopp, trust the team and believe because that bloody title is finally ours this season, note this comment and quote me at the end of the season, it's happening.

I hope you are all doing very well.

1.) 21 Oct 2018 00:49:52
Good post mate.
Playing bad and anything near the top is amazing. At some point it will all click in to place and we will take some stopping. It’s great that we won’t have to play catch when this happens.

2.) 21 Oct 2018 01:59:14
Good post Salah mate. I knew Huddesfield wasn’t going to be easy.

My concern is how jaded and tired we looked.

{Ed0333's Note - for me the biggest issue is the three up top can’t for whatever reason string a simple through ball or a pass together for love nor money. They are playing as if they are drunk. We know they can be devestating on the counter and as soon as they remember how to pass well be ok. I have no idea why the cohesion isn’t there but one thing for sure is that well get better rather than regress.

3.) 21 Oct 2018 08:19:38
I agree with you salah, i think playing diff style so we don't burn out nesr end of the season, i think after xmas we will push on and see the hard press footy, klopp knows city can go all season playing like they do, so we are pkaying poorly but still joint top i will take that every season till klopp gets his full team he wants. ynwa.

4.) 21 Oct 2018 08:27:23
Suppose we all got spoiled last year with our attacking brilliance, this year we seem too get a goal or 2 then we sit back and rely on our new defensive quality, that midfield is good but doesn't unlock defences with some guile or score enough goals, but as said we joint top we have beat spurs away an got a point at Chelsea which is 4 extra points already.

5.) 21 Oct 2018 09:29:42
We hadn’t won for 4 games so I’ll take a result like that. We need to improve and Klopp knows it 👍.

6.) 21 Oct 2018 13:24:25
I think salah looks like he needs a break. He is turning into players, his touch is off and his finishing is too. I think he is mentally drained, from last season, the injury and the Egypt fa thing. Give him a week off, recoup and come back stronger.

7.) 21 Oct 2018 13:44:19
Are we really that bad guys? I get we can be better but is it really that bad. Remember how well we played when the pressure was of off us and the boys had smiles on their faces. We know they can be better and i for 1 know they will. For now let's keep the faith up like when the Hudds fans cheered the team after they had misplaced a pass that resulted in a throw in. We only just joint 1st place and you can see the effort of the boys. It will come together soon for now let's cheer them like never before e.

8.) 21 Oct 2018 13:11:42
Bang on ed. Nothing sums it up more than when Firmino came on yesterday- we broke and he had Salah right and Shaqiri in a better position to the left. Last season you'd put your house on him finding the right pass but yesterday he just kind of rolled it to the opposition.

I think our attack needs Firmino to play well more than the others and he seems to he struggling lately. But we know his quality and I'm sure he'll play his way in to form.

{Ed0333's Note - as I say mate I’m hopeful they’ll get the telepathic incisive passing back. One things for sure it really can’t get any worse. And when it does well start beating teams comfortably. I think the ball needs to be played quicker/slicker from midfield to the ‘Fab 3’ for some unknown reason we seem to be a bit pedestrian in that department this season and our performances reflect it. Another thing that is certain Adam Lalana is not the answer. Give me all the stick you want but I’m not a fan and he’s not even worthy of a place on the bench. I’d rather have Curtis Jones.

9.) 21 Oct 2018 19:25:03
Completely agree with you on that Ed regarding Lallana. At this level he's just not good enough and that's the harsh truth. I'm not blasting him, at one point he showed a bit of promise but now we're going for the title I really don't believe he's anywhere near good enough for us.

{Ed0333's Note - I’m not sure he’s even good enough for any top side in the Prem. You have to ask yourself would he get into the Spurs, City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal teams? He’s living on past glories and those fleeting moments of magic were absolute eons ago, and if anybody thinks he’s gonna have a Renaissance then imo your sadly mistaken. He should never have been bought in the first place by Brenda as he is what the term ‘luxury player’ was coined for. Anyway more importantly Salah how are you? I haven’t been editing for a while and think I’ve missed a major part your convalescence period. Are you up and about doing stuff outside or still house bound? Wishing you a speedy recovery to full health mate.

10.) 22 Oct 2018 06:41:44
Ed0333, I'd agree with all of that mate, well said.

Ah I'm not bad mate thank you very much for asking, things are looking good, got a few daft dr appointments this week and maybe I'll be cleared for work in a few weeks but won't be able to start until December now anyway as I have a really busy November ahead. It's been a really harsh few months but we're getting there now :) I hope life is treating you well Ed?

{Ed0333's Note - I’m good thanks Salah. I’ve been traveling quite a bit recently so haven’t been editing as much so didn’t know what all you reprobates have been getting up to. Glad things are looking up for you mate and no doctors appointment is daft when it comes to your health fella. I’m sure a few sparkling Liverpool FC performances will perk you up no end?

11.) 23 Oct 2018 10:18:59
Glad to hear you are doing well Ed mate, I had wondered where you had got to! I thought maybe Harry had got you back and captured you ;) .

Yeah you're right mate I'm just fed up of them to be honest, in and out of the Dr's like a bloody yoyo and to be honest half of it is so unnecessary but they do a great job so I shouldn't moan about them.

The worst part at the moment is I have to go and see a psychiatrist to make sure I'm fine mentally, work demanded it and I have only this morning found out I now need to do it weekly until I go back lol it's BS if you ask me mate, I'm not happy about it at all. They're only doing their jobs which I get but my god they make you depressed! I don't like the environment of it at all, mind you, the lady is a bit of alright so that's a bonus. (I hope my wife isn't reading, I'll be dead later if so ;) )

Sorry for the rant mate, I could go on and on because a lot has happened recently but I'll shut up now lol, I hope you have/ have had a great day. Stay safe Ed333, great to see you editing again mate.

17 Aug 2018 08:38:32
Klavan is apparently heading to Italy today after Liverpool agreed a £2 million deal with Cagliari.

1.) 17 Aug 2018 10:05:41
Good luck to him, I like Ragnar.

It would seem that Klopp is putting more faith in Joe as a CB this season, which is good news.

Matip is back in training too.

2.) 17 Aug 2018 12:24:39
If true then good luck to him, I always felt he gave his all and was one of our more dependable CBs in a shaky defence before we brought in VVD.

3.) 17 Aug 2018 13:02:12
Would you think it is because of Gomez or do you think might be Phillips coming through as well as Klavan was down the pecking order any way?

4.) 17 Aug 2018 13:36:24
I reckon it'll be a case of "£2m in the pocket is better than £1-2m spent on wages for someone who might play 5 games this season". Business decision, and a good one, although I do like Klavan, never let us down.

5.) 17 Aug 2018 13:57:16
Good luck to the Ragman, always gave his all.

6.) 17 Aug 2018 15:09:56
Best wishes to Ragnar.
A true professional.
YNWA.

7.) 17 Aug 2018 15:52:04
It seems we'll see Nat Phillip's a lot more this season, if Klavan leaves. Mario is now injury prone; Gomez has a history too. Lovren missed weeks at a time from time to time. Van Dijk has had a long lay off before.
I like Nat Phillips though. Seems very composed.

8.) 17 Aug 2018 17:44:00
Mario?
Did I miss a signing in the summer?

9.) 17 Aug 2018 18:44:02
Hahaha Matip!

10.) 17 Aug 2018 19:59:42
If it’s lovren and vvd first choice and Gomez and Matip second, we don’t need Klavan, so the money as saved wages is okay. Always got Phillips and I reckon Fabinho or hendo could do a job there if desperate.

11.) 17 Aug 2018 23:46:02
Didn't expect to see this happen to be honest. I thought Klopp really rated him.
Good luck to the lad.

12.) 18 Aug 2018 06:49:30
Was he not a short term solution from the get go, think he does deserve to be allowed to move for regular football. Best of luck.

13.) 22 Aug 2018 06:46:27
I liked Ragner. Would've much rather preferred for Matip to go, but with all those injuries no one would be interested in buying him.

All the best to Klavan!

New image uploaded to the
Liverpool Player Sightings page entitled, Becker clean sheets

1.) 03 Jul 2019 13:21:00
He's a monster.

03 Jul 2019 04:32:43
Firmino scored a goal and assisted another as Brazil defeated Argentina 2-0 to reach the Copa America final. Alisson yet to concede a single goal in the tournament!

1.) 03 Jul 2019 04:48:48
Just wish all good luck to our players to seal the copa and hope they return to us fit, healthy and in high spirits.
Always a positive for players when they do well for the country.

2.) 03 Jul 2019 05:22:56
Id forgotton about the copa America. Jeez, we are going to have a knackered front line. I guess they have a few weeks. I can see us starting the league with some squad players like shaq, lallana and origi. But d'ya know what, i have confidence in those players.

Fair play to Becker, what a keeper! And bobby should be starting every brazil game, they play like the brazil we know when he's in the team. I wouldn't swap him for two neymars.

3.) 03 Jul 2019 07:21:42
I completely agree Robbie, he's huge for them, he does miles more than Neymar does and yes Alisson is just unreal, best keeper in the world right now.

4.) 03 Jul 2019 08:06:47
Salah do you no when the final will be mate? Just praying Bobby and Alisson return ready for the UEFA Super Cup. Some will laugh at that mate but I want us to win it and have our best players available.

5.) 03 Jul 2019 08:22:04
Mad too think that when klopp took over too now that we would have best keeper in the world, best centre in the world, an arguably best front 3 in world, have too pinch myself sometimes.

6.) 03 Jul 2019 08:59:48
Alisson saved a free kick which was like that free-kick goal they scored against us. was wonderful.

7.) 03 Jul 2019 09:04:00
Alisson rules. 25 clean sheets in his last 32 caps for Brazil. 21 in 38 in the league for Liverpool, he can actually get more next season imo. Fully fit and firing Gomez and Fabinho will also help.

8.) 03 Jul 2019 09:12:59
Agreed salah. We have the best goalie in the world, the best cb in the world. And one of the worlds best front 3.

And as has been said - our midfield are one of the most industrious 3 in the world. Whoever plays.

Good to be a Liverpool fan right now.

9.) 03 Jul 2019 09:50:27
Anyone else think Alisson will deservedly be in the top three for the Balon D'Or?

10.) 03 Jul 2019 10:29:58
Virgil, I think it is Sunday mate, I might be wrong mind, I'll have to google later. Yes I agree btw, I just hope they return fit enough.

11.) 03 Jul 2019 11:42:44
I dunno ezra. What about van dijke? Messi will be there of course, i have no idea how Cr7 is doing at juve?

Usually the ucl winners will have at least one player in the running for the balon dor. Becker or van djike? Mane maybe. Salah should have got it last year. If not for ramos' wrestling move i think he would have got it, we were all over them until the injury. Then we were just stunned, lost our rhythm.

Id be happy for either of them to win it of course. And i think they genuinely have a chance.

New image uploaded to the
Liverpool Player Sightings page entitled, God strikes again

1.) 25 Jun 2019 22:47:57
Sorry, who's God? I only know 1 and he isn't man. No offense.

2.) 25 Jun 2019 23:08:03
Youre right there is only one god. An it is Robbie Fowler.

3.) 26 Jun 2019 02:50:41
I never understood why he got called God. I mean he's pretty good but he's not Robbie Fowler.

4.) 26 Jun 2019 06:40:29
Ugbes, just a tongue and cheek comment. Added to that this isnt a religious platform.

5.) 26 Jun 2019 07:42:14
Sorry if it upsets any. I know it isn't a religious site but of cause, it accepts all kinds of religious backgrounds or so I believe. Just me saying there are "gods" and there is a "God". Not sure you understand so I lay low but that was the point I was trying to make and not to preach as many call it today.

6.) 26 Jun 2019 08:06:31
No harm intended ugbes :) just thought Id clarify.

7.) 26 Jun 2019 11:20:15
Jesus saves

And god scores on the rebound.

(man i hope im the first person to have come up with that)

8.) 26 Jun 2019 11:53:52
Fair play Ugbes. No false idols and all that. Not my bag but stand up for what you believe.

9.) 26 Jun 2019 12:45:20
Thank you Redinthewrongway.

10.) 26 Jun 2019 15:43:47
The concept of God all depends on which religious book you choose to read, how do you know what you see as "god" is the right one?
At least Fowler offered some proof of what he could do!

22 Jun 2019 21:35:11
get in Firmino lad!

1.) 22 Jun 2019 22:18:48
Firmino was crap in his last 2 games for Brazil, now he scores a stupid no look goal agains't a pub team and you think it's great? Firmino is becoming only known for these stupid no look goals instead of contributing to the game or the season.

He hasn't played well for well over a year it is about time he got back to basics. Messi doesn't piss around with no look goals he just scores 40 normal goals.

2.) 22 Jun 2019 22:32:50
Markp08, I'll have whatever your smoking please. Hasn't played well in over a year? I think you are on the wrong page. Go home your drunk.

3.) 22 Jun 2019 22:33:02
I know where your coming from Mark but they play different rolls mate. And Liverpool have changed there style of play this season.

4.) 22 Jun 2019 22:51:05
Yea your right Long. I was just going OTT but he really does need to get back to basics. Constantly on social media, new hair cut etc football seems down his priority list. Mane is the example he should be following. Mane is combining both hard work and end product as Firmino did 2017/ 2018.

But his no look goals are a joke and just serve no purpose, far better players than Firmino have never thought the need for no look goals. It will cost a certain goal at some point.

5.) 22 Jun 2019 22:52:39
It's about time, you, learnt the basics of football. But thanks for the laugh. 🤣.

6.) 22 Jun 2019 23:00:13
Basics of football doesn't include childish no look goals. Firmino has been way of the pace for over a year and that is obvious. He is so lucky that he plays with 2 world class players in Salah and Mane.

7.) 22 Jun 2019 23:28:06
Messi hasn't exactly performed for the national team though has he? Firmino has had an up and down year but to say he hasn't played well in over a year is downright ridiculous.

8.) 22 Jun 2019 23:35:20
Markp08, after the barcelona game you said klopp should be sacked. You denied last time I called you out on it but you absolutely did.

You just called a team at last year's world cup and who were unlucky not to qualify to second round a pub team.

Firmino is one of the hardest working players on the planet who was coming off an injury in the final. He was superb this season.

If your mission is to be the biggest douche on the site you are doing a stand up job.

If these are your real views then fair enough. Glad your not involved in any decision making at the club but fair enough.

9.) 22 Jun 2019 23:37:59
That's a good joke Mark, made me chuckle.

10.) 23 Jun 2019 00:11:05
Constantly on social media and changing haircuts that means football isn't his main priority? Even if it isn't, this dude have a life to live. What's wrong with that?

Guys, you don't have to defend Firmino. No matter what, each will see him differently. Some look at his goals and assists, some look at his runs, and some don't look at all.

And what is so wrong with that no-look goals and passes? We are entertained by them. You clearly not. So have a no-look then whenever he's about to shoot or pass. You'll feel better.

11.) 23 Jun 2019 00:14:26
Klopp says he's the first name on the team sheet. but you think he's rubbish so let's listen to you spout your nonsense. You clearly have no clue about Liverpool so stop commenting.

12.) 23 Jun 2019 02:49:43
Correct me if I’m wrong, didn’t the no look goal thing start after his eye injury?

13.) 23 Jun 2019 03:16:14
Out of the front three I think Bobby would be the hardest to replace. Awful post, imo.

14.) 23 Jun 2019 04:40:34
markp you do realize that A LOT of what bobby does is replicating Ronaldinho Right? The no look goals, the celebrations, the cheeky passes. Ok he hasn’t got the pace or skills of Ronaldinho but he replicates what he can.

it’s entertaining and football is just that, entertainment (ok football is life but shh)

He is still a work horse and how can you say he’s hasn’t played well in over a year?
The season just gone by was his 2nd best in a Liverpool shirt beaten only the by the previous season were he played 3 more matches in the Prem and had 3 more goals + 1 more assist.
Bare in mind, that we played attack attack attack to outscore opponents before vvd arrived. This season we haven't had to play all out attack because we can defend now yet his goal tally still nearly matches his best for us.

15.) 23 Jun 2019 04:53:03
Pressed reply too early, forgot to add, comparing what he does with messi is insane xD
I mean come on really?
Besides all the obvious things like Messi not being hooman, let’s just look at their basic role.
Messi drops deep to get the ball, and work his way to scoring a goal with his insane acceleration.
Bobby drops deep to create space for salah/ mane/ whoever bombs up from midfield, or because he is trying to win possession for us.

16.) 23 Jun 2019 06:07:47
Firmino's form over the past 12 months has been much better than markp08's comments on this thread tbh.

{Ed025's Note - hes a talented player IB but he was not at his best last season, he set the bar very high the season before mate and i think mark is going over the top a bit but he was not at his best thats for sure..

17.) 23 Jun 2019 06:30:20
Bobby"s character shows through in his celebrations. We love a player with some cheek, remember Fowler? , Give me Bobby over a selfish Harry Kane any day.

18.) 23 Jun 2019 06:35:06
Bobby needs to work harder? 😂.

{Ed025's Note - he needs to get involved more RTID..

19.) 23 Jun 2019 07:07:41
markp08, taking all the fun out of football since 2019!

20.) 23 Jun 2019 07:34:12
Firmino was not crap last year. Was he as good as the season before, no.

A large part of that was because his game has changed slightly in line with the way klopp tweaked liverpools style. Firmino played a lot more deeper for larger parts of games last season than the one before.

Im pretty sure if you asked mane and salah if he was crap they would laugh in your face.

In short your being very harsh on the lad mark.

{Ed025's Note - i tend to agree with a lot of that wolverine, but most liverpool fans are so biased that its a refreshing change to hear that some of your players are actually human after all mate..

21.) 23 Jun 2019 07:37:52
Bobby Firms is still one of the first names on the team sheet for KLopp. Most of the work he does for the team is off the ball hence why he is not rated as highly as his peers or ignorant fans who claim to know everything about the game. I would take Klopp's judgement over people like markp08 and the ignorant ruffians that worship twitter any time.
Bobby's role has changed for the team over the past 12 months and I would not trade him for any forward in the world bar Messi and Ronaldo.

{Ed025's Note - thats typical over-hype by a reds supporter IB, hes a good player even though he was not at his best last season but to put him in the bracket of one of the best forwards in the world is laughable mate, he does not score enough goals for a start..

22.) 23 Jun 2019 08:02:30
Ed025, where have I said he should be in the same bracket as Messi and Ronaldo? Bobby is perfect for the way Klopp likes to play and that is all that should matter. People like markp08 probably have wet dreams about Pepe and Werner and how perfect they would be for LFC. IF that were the case, they would already be LFC players by now.
Firmino may not have been as good this season compared to the previous one, but Klopp would not trade him for any other forward that could be a realistic signing for LFC. He is vital to how LFC play and the first line of defense.

{Ed025's Note - you said you would not trade him for any other forward in the world bar messi and ronaldo IB which would put him as the worlds 3rd best forward, hes a good player and does fit into klopps system well but come on mate get a grip..

23.) 23 Jun 2019 08:47:27
You have to watch Liverpool every week to appreciate how good Bobby is. 7/ 10 performance minimum, selfless play, relentless pressing like no other striker, moments of pure genius, goals, assists, key passes, tracking back to full back areas if needed, heading away opposition corners, making 90th minute goal line clearances in open play, linking the play in midfield, running the channels, holding up the ball, and most importantly bringing the best out of others.

He is world class and that is why CIES has him in the top 10 most valuable players in world football, and why He's the first name on Klopp's team sheet.

{Ed025's Note - its a subjective topic "world class" PB, in my view there are none of them currently playing in the EPL, if bobby is world class then so are about 50 others in the premier league as well mate, i know bobby wears a cape and wears his undies outside his kecks but that does not make him superman...just a good player..

24.) 23 Jun 2019 09:16:51
If people are allowed to say Hazard and his 55 goals in 3 seasons is 3rd best after Messi and Ronaldo, then I'd say there is a fair argument that Firmino with his 55 goals in 3 seasons is 3rd best too. It's all about perception. If Firmino doesn't score enough then neither does Hazard who takes far more penalties than Bobby, but I haven't ever heard that levelled at Hazard (regularly referred to as the best after Messi and Ronaldo) because it is more conventional for a wide forward to be in the team for other reasons than it is for a central forward.

I think you're trying to simplify it too much Ed025. Firmino is very unorthodox and what IB is saying is that there is nobody other than Messi or Ronaldo that are so good at what they do, that IB would want to change our style of play to accommodate them. That doesn't mean Bobby is the 3rd best in the world, it just means that in that next tier of world class players behind the two super humans, Bobby is the best for Klopp's Liverpool. Personally I'd say that individually Salah, Aguero, Lewandowski, Mbappe and Griezmann are all better than Firmino but in terms of what Firmino does in our team, like IB, I wouldn't swap him for those guys either. If you want it on record that I think Firmino is the 8th best forward in the world though, sure, I'll put my name to that! He's just ahead of Divock Origi 😉.

{Ed025's Note - bobby does a good job for liverpool PB and fits in very well to the klopp system, hes not unorthadox though mate every team has one some better than others...bobby is somewhere in the middle..

25.) 23 Jun 2019 09:54:24
Bobby is the proven and can do the job unlike the names being thrown around

Look at pipco he looked brilliant for liverpool Barcelona payed ridiculous money for him now they want to sell him because he isn't actually that good

The way we set up and play is perfect for bobby to do his job he may not be the best in the world but he is perfect and made for the way we play so I think the lads are sort of right in we would struggle to replace him his role is unique and is his own I'm not sure an out and out striker could fit into that position

Anyways I'm off to buy some new tinted glasses for the upcoming season ed25 want any lemons picking up 😇.

26.) 23 Jun 2019 11:58:41
mark - you sound like my mum and everyone her age. she always goes on about the players haircuts and how that ruins their game lol.

firmino works for us. I think it's a bit rose-tinted to say there is no other player who could replace him. but that shouldn't detract from him being key to how we play. Ed1 says that internally he is valued highly. that'll do for me.

27.) 23 Jun 2019 09:56:48
Don't often disagree ed025 but VVD is definitely world class. Mane, Allison are both approaching world class.

Bernardo Silva is getting to that level as well IMO.

{Ed025's Note - that depends on your version of world class mark, dont get me wrong VVD has been excellent for liverpool but to be deemed world class he has to do it over an extended period of time mate..

28.) 23 Jun 2019 10:42:27
I don't know who's enjoyed this thread most, Mark or Ed025.

{Ed025's Note - i think we all enjoy a decent debate polecat, especially while we are all turkeying waiting for a decent game of footy mate..

29.) 23 Jun 2019 12:41:29
if Liverpool put him up for sale there would be a cue nearly as long as the one at the chemist behind Mark by the time they had sorted all his medication out. Bobby played loads of last season in the number 10 role what took him a while to get use to. And I thought a lot of players where not at the highest levels last season after the world cup.

he only scored 3 less goals in the league from the season before 11 less in the champions league but in the group stages we was all over the place and his late goal at home to PSG was massive. But salah was crap as well because he never scored as many goals as the season before. Thank god Origi scored 7 goals last season to save us.

30.) 23 Jun 2019 12:42:38
Of course Firmino is a good player but he had a below par season, and a long way off world class but all opinions are good. I go a bit OTT because of the constant Firmino love on here. Last season he was an 8.5 this season a 5 maximum. I think players like Robbo, Mane, Trent etc should get a lot more praise on these boards.

Davey you will have to show me where I ever said Klopp should be sacked, as I said last time Klopp is the most important.

31.) 23 Jun 2019 12:20:49
Ed025, you don't think VVD is world class?

{Ed025's Note - he has the potential dan, hes been tremendous so far mate but until he does it over a number of seasons then no..

32.) 23 Jun 2019 14:27:28
Maybe Mark is right and Bobby needs to stop these childish no look goals. And tell Bale and Ibrahimovic to stop those infantile acrobatic kick things and use the sides of their boots. And don't get me started on backheels, stepovers and Cruyff turns. What do they think this is? Entertainment?

33.) 23 Jun 2019 13:37:10
VVD has potential to be world class? Mate, he is already world class and is the closest there is to a world class CB.
If VVD is not world class, then which CB is apart from Godin and Chielleni (who are both on their last legs btw)? Please don't say Pique and Ramos who are not a patch on VVD.

{Ed025's Note - it depends how you define world class IB, 2 seasons does not cut it for me mate but if he keeps it up for 6 or 7 then i may agree with you...and no i dont think pique or ramos get that tag either mate..

34.) 23 Jun 2019 16:00:57
I suppose it depends on your definition of world class. Is it too 5 in their position? A place in the World XI? It does seem a phrase that gets thrown around a lot these days but for me anyway you frame is it VVD is world class, in my opinion.

{Ed025's Note - but liverpool supporters think every player they have is world class dan, its a symptom of all of you mate...the rest of us call it delusions of grandeur..

35.) 23 Jun 2019 21:01:30
If Everton were to sign a player of Bobby's class there would be sticky socks in all the Everton supporters bedrooms (AKA sheds), for months, and Ed025 the reason we think all our players are world class is because they are and you know it, which must really hurt your bitter little heart.

{Ed025's Note - i am far from bitter polecat but if you think all your players are world class then you are deluded my friend, you do have some very good players though but you need to ask one of your teachers what world class means, instead of playing fifa all day during the school holidays try researching pele or maradona and you will find out what world class actually means mate..

I thought Milner would leave if Leeds were promoted but they weren't so I see him staying, he's a very influential player who any team would be lucky to have, if this is true then its great news. I won't comment on Matip (prove me wrong lad, go and score the winner tonight) .
