I just read the following, is there any truth to this?

'In January, when Liverpool pushed to bring forward Naby Keïta’s move to Anfield, RB Leipzig officials responded with a request of their own. They suggested that a deal involving Trent Alexander-Arnold would be one solution to smoothing Keïta’s early arrival.

Liverpool dismissed the idea, and with it their hopes of landing Naby Keita ahead of schedule. Yet Leipzig’s interest, coupled with Liverpool’s intransigence, speaks volumes for a player who is destined to go places regardless. '

Interesting if so, cheeky buggers hands off!

{Ed002's Note - No. Liverpool have already paid a significant premium over the asking price and were told it would take more - that was the end of it.}

1.) 05 Apr 2018 22:13:54
Cheers Ed2, more click bait rubbish I guess, I got pulled in.

2.) 06 Apr 2018 07:34:01
LFC would be wise to invest in Timo wernier he is going to be some player goal scorer chases back just like bobby and him and Naby have very good understanding it would really be a no brainier to put in a bid for the lad.

3.) 06 Apr 2018 10:55:46
No doubting his quality but bringing in Werner sends the wrong kind of signal to Firmino, Ings, Solanke and even Origi (who's coming back this summer) . I'd much rather focus on a really good AM.

4.) 06 Apr 2018 14:58:25
Unfortunately ings origi need to be moved on for their careers sake. Solanke should get minutes in games already won plus cup games.
If the two I mentioned are to leave weiner would be a great addition to our team. Allows firmimo to have a rest.

5.) 08 Apr 2018 15:12:26
I see Origi leaving the summer. Ings is a little more up in the air. Don't think Solanke is anywhere near his finished product and I don't want to lose him. I think he has the ability to be a star in the league but maybe needs a good run of games to get his confidence up -- ie. a loan move. Of course, that leaves us a bit short on numbers going into the the next season but I see investment coming and we may bring in another attacking player. Lallana has had a torrid time with injuries this year but probably won't go anywwere. Milner, how many times does the lad have to prove himself to be valued by his club? Successful everywhere and every position he goes. Hope he stays as long as he's got the legs. Can probably will move on and will be missed if Keita takes a while to adjust. That said, I'm very excited about Naby playing behind and as a part of that forward line and don't see us needing much more to challenge for every prize.

Anybody know much about ....................

{Ed002's Note - This is the Liverpool page.}

26 Feb 2018 11:28:35
Hi eds is it true that we're in negotiations to give Firmino a new contract?

{Ed001's Note - no idea. The lad wants to stay so there is no worry or rush either way. It is just a matter of agreeing terms.}

1.) 26 Feb 2018 13:01:04
Good to hear mate thanks.

2.) 26 Feb 2018 13:10:38
Awesome news that he wants to stay, more of that please!

3.) 26 Feb 2018 13:22:07
with the amount of goals he's assisting and scoring im sure he's ecstatic with his current contract.

4.) 26 Feb 2018 15:11:01
Phew ed! u gave me the best news this year! I would b cool wid swapping 2 with fourth if it means Bobby staying. but now while we r at it y not give it a whole try? by the way ed01 what do u xpect from match btn us and utd?

{Ed001's Note - Bobby loves it at Liverpool and told Couts he was mad to want to leave. As for the games, I don't do predictions, they are bad luck.}

5.) 26 Feb 2018 16:12:53
Lifetime deal ala Iniesta.

6.) 26 Feb 2018 21:12:35
You have to love Bobby Firmino. Was excited when we signed him and he just keeps getting better. I reckon he’ll get 20 league goals this year.

7.) 26 Feb 2018 21:26:43
I had Bobby on 20 goals for all competitions. Needless to say very happy for the feller and long may it continue.

8.) 27 Feb 2018 08:48:00
"no rush" is toxic for liverpool negotiations.

30 Dec 2017 20:33:31
Hi Ed2 first off Happy new year mate I hope it's a great one for you and your family!

Just wanted to ask a couple of questions if you had a spare moment.

A. Do we have any interest in Jean-Michael Seri of Nice? I'm guessing it's recycled news and there's no truth to that one?

B. Do you know anything about Liverpool contacting PSG regarding a loan move for Draxler?

Cheers mate.

{Ed002's Note - Happy holidays. Seri May be an option still but I suspect interest from elsewhere is more serious. However Liverpool still see Draxler as a potential Coutinho replacement but recently I am only aware of another English side enquiringly.}

1.) 30 Dec 2017 20:42:18
Thanks for the swift reply Ed2, appreciated. Have a good evening!

2.) 30 Dec 2017 22:14:10
Arsenal I think are interested.

3.) 30 Dec 2017 23:21:10
in draxler I should have said.

23 Dec 2017 22:40:44
Just a quick one.

I doubt it but just wanted to ask if there was ANY chance we could get Keita in January?

{Ed002's Note - No, that won’t be happening.}

1.) 23 Dec 2017 23:01:23
A shame but I expected that response, thanks again Ed2.

Predictions for today's game? I'm going to go with 3-1 to us. Plus it's my birthday, I'm feeling lucky, let's see if I can score a few ;) I seriously see a hat-trick coming today. West Brom shouldn't be underestimated but I think we have more then enough to sail through this fixture.

{Ed0333's Note - Happy birthday fella. Let’s hope you score a hat trick today.

Anybody else see the 'We are Liverpool' short video, just put out there?

"For others it's sport,
For us its a way of life,
they have a stadium, we have a home,
they have songs, we have an anthem,
they have a manager we have a guardian,
they have supporters, we are a family,
We are Liverpool,
This means more."

What a great little video. Absolutely love it!

1.) 17 Apr 2018 18:19:32
Makes the hair on your neck stand up.

2.) 17 Apr 2018 19:37:14
Brilliant video. As I always say, Red Till I'm Dead.

3.) 17 Apr 2018 21:07:00
Seriously who put a thumbs down to Brovers post needs to be banned from the site!

4.) 17 Apr 2018 21:32:23
Glad you all enjoyed the video :) hope it's been a good day for you all, and for you eds!

5.) 17 Apr 2018 23:20:04
Oh my, I have chills and a tear or two. That sums up perfectly why I, why we are Liverpool supporters.

6.) 17 Apr 2018 23:43:37
Wow choked!

7.) 18 Apr 2018 01:54:47
Absolutely brilliant.

{Ed0333's Note - when I first watched it I didn’t know it was kloppo doing the narration he sounded Malaysian. Then it dawned on me it was

15 Apr 2018 19:11:31
Is there any truth to us signing 16 year old striker Bobby Duncan, from Manchester City in the summer when he turns 17?

If so has anybody seen him play? any good? I have never heard of him.

1.) 15 Apr 2018 19:58:01
He is just a kid.

2.) 15 Apr 2018 22:10:59
TSR, name me one world class player who was never a kid at one point lol.
No need to be so dismissive, which is how your reply read to me.

If the lad has potential, is available and we're allowed by the authorities to sign him, we should do it if he fits what we need, might save us a fortune in the long run.

He's rated as very talented and expected to go far in his playing career.

3.) 15 Apr 2018 22:48:08
Isn't that Stevie G's cousin?

4.) 15 Apr 2018 23:41:08
Kev I don’t think TSR is saying we shouldn’t be signing him, more that we shouldn’t be getting excited over signing someone who is probably still in school!

5.) 16 Apr 2018 11:17:43
Exactly Smeg Head, creating the next big star player just gives them a platform to fail to live up to and adds pressure to their development.

6.) 16 Apr 2018 18:05:35
Yeah it is stevies cousin.

15 Apr 2018 11:27:32
Usually you read these type of posts every Christmas or New year but I thought what the hell why not.

I want to say a massive thank you to the Eds for what you guys do. The dedication you all have to the sites is admirable.

Ed1 I have never come across anybody online nor in real life who possess the knowledge you have. Your writing in articles is incredible and I love seeing when a new article is put up because of that. It's real, genuine but most importantly it's correct information, information you don't get anywhere else, I thank you for this. I think it's pretty evident you take a hell of a lot of time out of your life to do this, if that doesn't deserve respect alone, I don't know what does, not to mention the quality and the way you do it.

The inside info from Ed2 regarding transfers, clubs directions, etc etc is second to none. I see many people hate what he has to say at times which kind of frustrates me in a way because he is only speaking the truth whether we like it or not, some of us just choose to accept the facts in life, luckily the majority of people appreciate what he brings to the table. can't wait for the next sharkopod mate but I understand you've been busy so there's no rush.

Ed25, for an Everton fan mate your top notch and I think you have respect from everybody on the Liverpool page alone not to mention other pages (not sure where else you post) . What I admire about Ed25 is, he doesn't let rivalries get in the way, he speaks sense apart from when he says 'this is our year' every summer transfer window ;) but apart from that, he's sound as a pound.

Ed333, I don't know if it's just me but he comes out with stuff, words I have never heard of before so I have to google a certain word wondering wtf it means lol but certainly inspiring posts from him.

There seems to be loads of Eds out there who are doing equally good jobs who we don't see. I don't go to many other pages, usually just this one but I'm sure each of them all deserve the respect as much as the above eds.

Life is too short, it's good from time to time to count our blessings. We take the infortmation for granted at times, we forget how lucky we are. It's too easy to come on here, say what you need to say and get on with your day without thinking about what these people are doing for fans like us. So once again, a massive thank you to the Eds across all the sites, it never goes unappreciated. Plus a big thank you to the posters as well, we may all disagree with our points at times but in the end, we all want Liverpool to be successful, that's what matters.

On a side note for those who havn't yet seen it, the sites have lost a true dedicated member over on the Everton page (Grumpy) a poster who without a doubt loved his club and was loved/ admired by many. RIP sir.

I hope you all have a great Sunday and a even better week ahead, you never know in life what's around the corner, count your blessings and be grateful for what you have, even if it is the little things, little things matter, life matters. Take care to all!

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate! I wish we had a way to hold this for all the editors to reply to, but we don't have that set up unfortunately. So, on behalf of the rest, well other than Ed0333 as he will be busy trying to figure out whether you were insulting him or complimenting him and it could take a while as he is a bit slow bless him, thank you very much we truly appreciate your thanks.}

1.) 15 Apr 2018 11:52:18
Fantastic post Salah.

2.) 15 Apr 2018 11:57:26
Well said, Salah 👍.

3.) 15 Apr 2018 12:13:38
Another top top class post from my fave poster on the site (alongside MK Scouser) and it is very true the Eds all of em make this site what it is, the best on the net.

4.) 15 Apr 2018 12:47:39
superb sentiments salah, especially on a day like today, life is sadly too short, so let's enjoy the good things in life and this site is on of those good things.

5.) 15 Apr 2018 13:12:38
Well said Salah.

6.) 15 Apr 2018 13:13:41
Nice on, Salah. Say, has Harry Klaim rang you yet, "Klaiming" your goal vs B'mouth?

7.) 15 Apr 2018 13:16:31
Couldn't agree more! Eds please don't blank out my foul language and let it be a 1st!

But what a ****in web site!

The holy grail!

{Ed001's Note - I am so sorry the swear filter did it anyway.}

8.) 15 Apr 2018 13:26:04
Ffs! 😂😂
I think they all get me anyway ed 😂.

{Ed001's Note - was it bloomin?}

9.) 15 Apr 2018 14:29:08
I knew that was "Salah" as soon as I began reading it :)

Couldn't agree more with your post fella about how top notch the Editors are on the site for many many reasons and they get my sincere thanks as well. You Salah are also a great and positive poster on here, I always enjoy reading your posts too mate.

RIP to the lad from Everton's page as well, truly very sorry to read that.
I hope they win a trophy in a couple of years (preferably League One or League Two haha), cause in all honesty we should never be bitter football rivals with one another.
We should only be friendly rivals, as they're all our family, friends and workmates.

10.) 15 Apr 2018 15:16:45
Great post salah. I agree with everything you say there mate. To all the eds🍻.

11.) 15 Apr 2018 15:17:59
Thank you very much to all of you for your comments :)

12.) 15 Apr 2018 15:59:34
We all love you Ed's and Salah.

13.) 15 Apr 2018 16:50:39
Could have given me a mention.

15 Apr 2018 08:36:37
Salah has now scored 30 PL goals so far this season!

He needs two more goals in our last 4 games to break the PL record for most goals by a player in a 38-game season.

The record is 31 goals, which is currently jointly held by Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.

Can he do it? of course he can! and will! How incredible has he been for us, what a fantastic season for him, long may it continue.

1.) 15 Apr 2018 09:07:42
Nothing like blowing your own trumpet.

{Ed001's Note - is that a euphemism?}

2.) 15 Apr 2018 11:35:54
Has Salah done it all without taking pens?

3.) 15 Apr 2018 13:01:25
he has taken 2 penalties both vs Huddersfield, scored 1, missed 1.

Sooner he's out the better, he's a fool to himself. I was actually very excited about him at one point but he blew it, if he'd of got his head down and worked harder he'd of been something today. But then we had the issues the other month with him beating on his girlfriend, no respect from me, I'll be glad to see the back of him.

Completely agree with 87 here, we have Gomez and that's that, if we was to sign such a player we'd be practically forcing Gomez out, something none of us want to see.

It's getting to that time of the year again though, we're 'linked' with literally everybody and his mother.

Agreed Ed1 regarding Wilshere. The word 'talent' shouldn't be in the same sentence as him, the amount of times I have heard people say he had potential, I don't know what player they've watched because he's always been pretty useless when I've seen him play. He is to be quite frank terrible. I couldn't believe my eyes last summer when a few people was calling for us to sign him lol and saying how he'd be an improvement, my word!

Maddison I haven't seen play so I can't judge him but he sounds like an exciting young lad. I just don't see the need in signing such players when we have our own youngsters dying to get their chances, unless this lad is the next Salah kind of player I think we should leave it alone and concentrate on our youngsters.

Well said BRover, I couldn't agree more mate. BR took an easy job over at Celtic, but suddenly he's a good manager? no chance, it'd be a terrible move recruiting him. I don't think Arsenal will be that stupid though. I think whoever goes in will have a hard time, a lot of transition is needed over there.

I think Sean Dyche would thrive there but you are right Ron such a position needs experience at top level and that's the only thing Dyche hasn't got. Still, if I was an Arsenal fan I'd be intrigued to see what he could bring.

Yeah it'll be a shame to see him leave the league Ed, glad City won't have him anymore but a shame such a player is leaving the league, I love watching him and will continue to do so should he move on to Spain. Whoever they get to replace him won't be enough, he's that good.
