How reliable is Lewis Steele as he has said slot still has the backing of the board after last night’s game.

27 Nov 2025 14:53:33
Not particularly. He might have been told whatever information the club want dispersed for now. Honestly, I would much sooner believe people like Carra or Robbo on here than mainstream journalists now.
27 Nov 2025 15:03:30
The dreaded public vote of confidence.
27 Nov 2025 15:04:48
Absolute bull.
27 Nov 2025 16:48:36
He's not, he's got no real connections at Liverpool.
27 Nov 2025 13:54:18
Lewis Steele reporting that we're sticking with Slot "right now".
Don't like that all, personally.

How about now?
27 Nov 2025 16:52:09
I wouldn't beleve anyone with a name like that, sounds like a porn star.
{Ed001's Note - who is he?}
27 Nov 2025 16:53:28
Lewis Steele has no real connections at Liverpool, besides, a club never turns around and tells reporters "Yeah actually we've been thinking about it, and we're probably going to give him the sack next week but keep it to yourself will you? "
Its always "Liverpool are more than happy with.
" and then boom you wake up the next morning it's on Sky News, manager sacked.
27 Nov 2025 16:57:46
LOL Shipley. ?.
27 Nov 2025 10:29:22
As a bit of a change, Ed do you have any insight what might happen with alisson? I remember seeing an interview ages ago where he said he would be open to signing another contract?
I know he's injured a lot, but I hope we have more than just 1 more season with him.
{Ed001's Note - he wants to stay, he and his family are happy and settled in Liverpool.}

27 Nov 2025 10:47:53
Thanks appreciate the response. Hopefully it get's sorted!
27 Nov 2025 10:54:54
His availability is starting to become a serious issue.
27 Nov 2025 12:03:05
Livered, it's not when he's still hands-down better than any other keeper we could get by miles. We just need a steady backup. Getting his contract extended is a no-brainer.
27 Nov 2025 12:15:41
Alisson has no worries about being replaced by our back up keepers as if that's the case we are in even more trouble. Alisson is the GOAT and should be awarded a new contract.
27 Nov 2025 12:09:41
I've never known a Goalkeeper to be so brilliant, yet at the same time so brittle. His absence is also a reason why we have performed so poorly this reason, he has been our savior on multiple occasions and bailed out the team, whether it be big games or what was supposed to be average, run of the mill games. He has kept us in ties, literally single handedly.
However, these injuries are becoming a joke now. He was ill yesterday, which I don't think he has been often, so will give him the benefit of the doubt. The injuries, I will not. It always seems to be hamstrings, too, for innocuous things, such as kicking the ball or sprinting back into position. Not making save attempts, or collisions, but simple acts that are expected to be performed by a keeper. Then, not only does he pick up an injury, but for significant time, for what looks like the most minor of actions.
Mama doesn't look in any way, shape or form, ready to take up the mantle of Liverpool's first choice keeper. He hasn't necessarily been a calamity, but there are qualities you need as a top keeper that he does not have, yet. Ball distribution poor, he looks shaky when he receives. He is also often slow and flat footed when making saves, but has shown that he can make top saves, just not as consistently as a Alisson or other top keepers. He just doesn't use his frame well enough, big guy, but he never looks it.
Would love to keep Alisson, simply due to very few being better. But, these stretches of absence are verging on the point of ridiculous. He gets injured just as much as Bradley, but at least Bradley is sprinting around a pitch, getting stuck in. Alisson could get injured from kicking a ball too hard, or retreating into position.
Frustrating.
27 Nov 2025 12:43:29
Georgi is just a different kind of keeper. Allison is a sweeper keeper who sprints off his line at first sign of trouble to snuff it before a shot is made.
Georgi is a typical stand up keeper who waits for the shot.
In order to get the best out of him we need to play a little deeper defensively so as not to leave a gap between Def and GK and give attackers a long time to pick their spot.
Playing Georgi with a high line is stupid because he doesn't perform his best in that system.
27 Nov 2025 12:57:53
Nevada, we can't change the way we play for a backup keeper. Either Mama adapts or we need to let him go and bring someone else in.
27 Nov 2025 13:00:04
Which is why he doesn't fit our team, Nevada, to have to change our entire tactical approach because of the keeper is just stupid. I said it from the start and I will continue to say that he just doesn't suit our style of play.
He is young and can improve on different aspects of his game but I'm really not sure what the thinking was when it came to picking him up, he is an outstanding keeper in his own right but was never the right match for us.
27 Nov 2025 13:20:30
Even Alli can't save this team at the moment.
27 Nov 2025 13:51:39
When you have a defence which is so badly exposed by a non existent midfield and p. poor tactics, you could have Lev Yashin in goal and still get battered. What can marmadashvili do if what’s in front of him is a shower of sh1t? He’s not superman.
27 Nov 2025 14:54:42
I think judging Mama both against Alison and based on being part of this team is a bit harsh to be honest. Agree with VV, we need to accept whomever comes in longer term likely won't be as good as Ali, and will need a better protection than we are currently providing.
New contract for Ali is a no-brainer either way though.
27 Nov 2025 18:44:21
We should have bought the goalkeeper that went to Barca. He was way more similar to the way alisson plays.
27 Nov 2025 21:41:49
I kinda agree with Mango . Ali is a fantastic keeper. One of, if not the best, the club has ever had. Any other club in world football would have him in a shot. But I cannot think of another top end keeper that has so many missed games through injury and for the life of me I don't know why?! It's strange but perhaps it's just he's prone to them and no matter what he does he cannot escape them.
I know ED01 has written about this on many occasions previously and has explained his opinion, which is most plausible but the fact remains that the man is just injury prone and that's, as they say in our part of the world, the holy all of it.
28 Nov 2025 04:37:37
Gordon Banks was a better goalkeeper than Ali. Clem was a better goalkeeper than Ali. Peter Shilton was a better keeper and there are several foreign goal keepers who were better - Yasmin, Schmeichel - and others who would give him a run for his money - Zoff, Buffon maybe.
The job role title is goal keepers not sweeper or best last line of defence passer of the ball.
28 Nov 2025 04:48:46
Tbh I think Allison's injuries are either because he didn't warm up properly or his body got cold during the match itself by him not having to do much. Sprinting and dynamic movement when the body is cold are what usually causes those kind of injuries that he suffers from.

Hello all,
Slot is set to leave Liverpool.
A replacement now being sourced.
Arne has been made aware and will remain in charge until such change is made.

27 Nov 2025 08:49:03
Thanks Carra - Any idea who is most likely to replace him?
Is Zidane as interim an option?
Would getting Iraola mid-season upset Bournmouth?
27 Nov 2025 08:53:27
Thanks Carra! I believe the writing was on the wall. But the sad part is I never expected the senior players to down tools the way they have in this run of play, and they come out of this unscathed.
Do you know who we are looking at? Is Klopp possible?
27 Nov 2025 08:55:04
An interim or a permanent replacement?
27 Nov 2025 08:55:48
Any idea who were looking at Carra?
27 Nov 2025 08:56:04
Cheers Carra.
I'm gutted it's not worked for him but clearly something has to change and it's frustrating that he's not gone up a level from last season but clearly there's a lot going wrong.
Any idea who the front runner is or whether an interim is being considered.?
As an aside, thank you Slot for the title last year, we won't forget the good season you gave us!
27 Nov 2025 08:56:18
Thanks for sharing Carra
It was inevitable with his poor decision making.
27 Nov 2025 08:56:36
Hope that’s done before the weekend or we’re getting pumped by West Ham as well.
27 Nov 2025 09:00:32
Hi Carra,
Any inkling who it could be? Suggests if they’re taking the time to source a replacement it won’t be a stop gap which probably narrows who we can get midpoint of the season.
27 Nov 2025 09:02:40
About time. Better late than never.
Best squad in the league and he somehow messed it up.
On the up side all the signing the club has made are top talented players future is bright for whoever come in.
27 Nov 2025 09:02:57
Arne Slot and Father Christmas are both getting the Sack for Xmas!
27 Nov 2025 09:03:20
Hopefully a change does us good, it can't get much worse.
27 Nov 2025 09:04:07
About time, cheers carra.
27 Nov 2025 09:05:15
Cheers Carra. Sad but necessary.
27 Nov 2025 09:06:31
Cheers Carra - any rough timeline on this?
27 Nov 2025 09:08:04
Thanks Carra, bit strange that he’s been told but will remain in charge. There is zero motivation for the players to do anything while they know he will be leaving. Not sure why you don’t sack have an interim until someone can be appointed.
27 Nov 2025 09:11:12
Carra thanks for the info.
Will this mean we don’t get Guehi and/ or Semenyo in January?
27 Nov 2025 09:12:08
Cheers Carra. Thank the Lord the guys upstairs have seen the light!
27 Nov 2025 09:20:55
If you had to make a sensible bet on who, who would you put your money on, everyone?
27 Nov 2025 09:21:38
The lobster pot was quiet last night. apparently Big Sam was in a business meeting. but with who??.
27 Nov 2025 09:22:58
Good for both him and the club. Situation has become so worse.
We might never come to know what's caused this dramatic loss of form.
27 Nov 2025 09:23:17
This is as good as a club statement.
Thank you for everything, Arne.
27 Nov 2025 09:24:03
In response to a few questions.
There is no particular list yet but i expect two EPL managers will be considered (Iraola and Glasner)
Klopp would take it for 6 months, as would Gerrard. Unsure the clubs stance on that.
Slot is a professional, will work his contract as normal as get a pay out. It will be dealt with amicably.
Ta.
27 Nov 2025 09:24:15
Hopefully its Iraola.
27 Nov 2025 09:26:29
Can’t believe it’s taken so long, talk about neglect.
27 Nov 2025 09:27:28
Its a brutal game, its seems 5 mins ago I was standing with my lad on the Strand rationing red smoke bombs at the parade. I have been one of the more maybe foolishly positive thinkers but after last night, and watching our rivals, we are so off it in so many ways, and being out worked out ran out played at home by teams we should be beating comfortably I find it hard to argue now its time to hit the panic button. Feel for Slot nice bloke one of 2 manager to bring the league home in 30+ years, but the brutal truth is we can't let what has been built back since Klopp arrived and with the young talented squad we have maybe its time……as always appreciate your posts Carra, if my lad hears any gossip out there.
He says “what does carra say dad? ”……. what are you thoughts Carra and co? Do we get a interim for the rest of the season and wait to see if Alonso gets sacked in the summer, I am not sure sold on Iraola b’mouth don't face a low block much, any idea on who we may get? and who your ideal pick would be?
27 Nov 2025 09:28:20
Hopefully it's done soon. We thank Slot for all he's done but both parties need to move on.
27 Nov 2025 09:32:57
Why would Slot stay if he knows he is going? And why would you not get rid now if a decision has been made? Surely one of the youth team managers could step up for now, they couldn’t do much worse.
I also don’t see the obsession with Gerrard, great player, crap manager and person.
27 Nov 2025 09:39:01
Difficult situation being told hang on there for a month whilst find a replacement to sack you. If anything a little cruel, poor fella looked absolutely toasted last night.
27 Nov 2025 09:40:55
Double deal being negotiated for Iraola and Semenyo?
27 Nov 2025 09:42:53
Don't want Zidane. He would try and get the "big players" playing again. Salah and virg should be saying goodbye this summer and maccalister also sold.
27 Nov 2025 09:44:53
Thanks Carra. Sad but seems no other option, there are very few positive signs.
27 Nov 2025 09:51:47
Keeping him in charge until we find a suitable replacement makes no sense.
27 Nov 2025 10:00:16
After the summer transfer window that we experienced, can you imagine if Glasner is actually approached?
27 Nov 2025 10:00:21
Just unbelievable that the season has come to this after such an exciting transfer window. Was expecting to dominate the league for a few seasons with Slot…just a sad ending.
Klopp short term would be amazing for the club. We need some heavy metal footy starting this weekend!
27 Nov 2025 10:03:18
I feel dirty - I have money on the Hammers to beat us this weekend.
27 Nov 2025 10:05:27
I'd really like Iraola long term but wouldn't be against Klopp or Gerrard short term to get some fight and some bollocks back in this team.
27 Nov 2025 10:05:57
Isn't Klopp working for Red Bull?
Doubt they will give him a few months off to come back until May.
27 Nov 2025 10:06:26
And 1 more thing. Slot will remain in charge until such change is made.
That could potentially mean that Slot will remain until the end of the season, in the event that our preferred candidate is not available until then.
Nothing against Slot, but it's clear that he cannot get the best out of these players, and so it's worrying in terms of how much longer he will be the manager of this team.
27 Nov 2025 10:21:33
Both Glasner and Iraola’s contacts expire next summer so if one of those is top choice do the club wait and get them in then or pay to get them now. I’d assume easier than someone like Inzaghi who probably would cost a huge fee to get out of Al-Hilal.
Madrid players not happy with Alonso but can we really see them dismissing him….
27 Nov 2025 10:27:34
Cheers Carra. Thank god for common sense.
27 Nov 2025 10:40:38
If it’s an interim I’d hope we try and persuade Klopp. Gerrard is a hopeless manager and as for Zidane, a steaming pile of dog muck could have managed that Madrid side to success. Plus his lack of English should count him out.
27 Nov 2025 10:44:01
Having Jurgen back for 6 months would be as good as it gets.
One last dance.
27 Nov 2025 10:48:47
Carra, has anything been agreed with Klopp?
27 Nov 2025 11:13:00
Thanks Cara. I find it really counter productive to tell a manager he’s being replaced when we find a replacement, that compounds matters if you ask me.
27 Nov 2025 11:13:48
All the best Arne thanks for the memories. Shame it didn't work out. Hopefully the stars align and the babies at Madrid get their way. We can welcome Xabi with open arms.
27 Nov 2025 11:36:58
What are peoples opinions on Inzaghi, I’m guessing he would jump at the opportunity and did great with Inter! Klopp on an interim would give us such a bounce however it does
make the job of replacing him even more difficult.
27 Nov 2025 11:38:15
Ok, not disagreeing that Slot should go but I cannot see how it will help. Let's look at the players. Robbo is better than Kerkez but we were worried about him last year. VVD is cracking under the pressure. Konate is gone, Gomez cannot be trusted to stay fit. Bradley is good but not great. Jones in all honesty is a good player but not a top player, Grav is a midfielder converted to a 6 and has done well but has no cover, Macca was been swapped for his brother Kevin, Gakpo is a one trick pony, Salah is done and should leave with his head held high - expecting him to make a valuable contribution is like shouting at a pot of glue and expecting it to win the National. So the new players: Frimpong, I never rated anyway and I'm not sure if he is a full back. Kerkez has disappointed me and looks like Moreno, Wirtz is not suited to the Prem although he is young. Ekitike has been good but not great.
Marmalade has let in more than he has stopped and Isak, well with him and Salah on the pitch we may as well have 9 players. Tell me why Klopp or any other manager would want to take that on but also why would Semenyo, or Guehi want to join. Yes we are the biggest and best club in the world but we have imploded beyond what anyone thought was ever possible. It might be best to stick with the manager who won the league 6 months ago and give him the chance to build a team from the debris. He did better than everyone expected so maybe he deserves a longer chance than normal football clubs would give. With him or with someone else, we are not winning the league, we might win a cup and getting top 5 looks beyond us now so whoever is in the hot seat, we will have a poor season and not even Klopp will change that. Unpopular opinion perhaps so . I'll get my coat!
27 Nov 2025 12:15:13
Good decision by the club.
27 Nov 2025 12:13:39
It's a no Brainer if Klopp would agree to take charge until summer. Get him in and in the summer we will see what is available. Possibly Flick, Enrique or Alonso.
27 Nov 2025 12:18:13
Klopp with Gerrard as assistant until end of season. Iraola for me as long term manager unless Klopp wants to stay longer?
27 Nov 2025 12:27:52
If this is true, it'll be interesting to see if there is any improvement in the next game. The players have got what they want, will they put out a better performance?
27 Nov 2025 12:35:46
These players won the title, wirtz is a world class talent, kerkez was the best attacking full back in the league last year, isak is proven quality, gakpo might not be in the very highest tier of wide attacking players but he is at the top of the bracket just below, we are in a bad spell, the players haven't suddenly become rubbish. True they need to take responsibility for not doing the basics right, but this team is studded with winners and top quality players, we've seen that they can perform when they are confident.
The problem now is who is going to lift them out of the doldrums and get them believing they are an elite team again.
27 Nov 2025 12:53:40
I’d take any version of Klopp right now. The Glasner’s and Ireola’s of the world fill me with zero confidence to keep us on our perch.
27 Nov 2025 13:02:45
Hi Carra, a lot of the media reporting that no immediate danger of sacking, does this fall in line with what you’ve heard given it’s a case of finding a replacement? Could this drag on until the end of the season if Iraola, Glasner, Xabi or whoever else they want isn’t available.
Feels like for any chance of getting champions league football and rescuing the season sooner rather than later would be better, although Iraola/ Glasner give me flashbacks to Rodgers and Hodgson type appointments and at other clubs Potter at Chelsea.
27 Nov 2025 13:46:47
Thanks Carra.
27 Nov 2025 23:52:43
Don't believe it personally.
Have we forgotten what happened after we won no 19? Utter sh*t show.
Klopp's "f*ck this" in the change room. Yet henturned it around.
Is jettisoning Slot the sensible thing to do right now?
Whoever comes in, is going to face the same issues. We don't have the squad, especially at the back, and what we do have isn't really working out at the moment. Could, the question has to be asked, the reasons for that be changed if the manager changes?
And what of, if it's true as has been mooted on here, that the likes of Salah and Isak have to be on the pitch brcause the board desires it? If that's true, we suppose that would be true in the case of a new manager also.
Do we really believe the question of Slot turning things around is if rather than when? If the former then fair enough, sack him at this stage, of the latter then he's as good an option as any other for all the reasons being spoken about.
Its ironic that winning the league last year jas perhaps slanted expectations of what was realistically achievable this season.
I still think AF ditched at United because he knew the squad was done.
Do we really think that this season could have gone very much differently?
Especially as we didn't bring in the defensively players needed, and the subsequent injury to Leoni.
I don't think I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but Slot seems as well placed as anyone to turn things around.
I still think a longer term view needs to be taken of this.
28 Nov 2025 04:53:09
Robboz, do you honestly believe that we can't do any better than being 12th in the league after 12 games with 6 losses in the past 7 games after winning the league at a canter last season? We have a squad that was the envy of most other fans before the season began.
We are well and truly punching below our weight now. I expected teething issues after the many changes during the summer but I still expected us to be well up there challenging for the title. I'm sorry but Slot does not fill me with confidence atm and he simply has to go.
26 Nov 2025 22:20:50
Hell diddly no,
Whilst Slot prior to today had the nod from above to get through this, I wouldn’t be surprised if things have changed.
Iraola would appear to be the favourite, would take a relatively large fee to prize him away at this stage of the season.
A certain Jurgen, whilst I stand by him not being an option - I asked a question to someone close to his circle and I can’t believe I’m typing this but he will listen to anything the club has to say.
My opinion is that we will see a new face in the dugout before the new year. Interim options never really work out.
Sorry this is very speculative compared to my usual posts.

Stupid sexy Flanders.
26 Nov 2025 22:32:57
Hi hope so! I would love klopp to come back and hope it happens.
26 Nov 2025 22:35:43
It’s gone on far too dang diddly long now. Thanks for the update Flanders.
26 Nov 2025 22:37:40
Love klopp . BUT he can't come back . can only see that working very short term . I don't know . if he rocks up after the west ham game . will be excited
Would rather him than going for irioala . that screams another BR to me . doing a great job making an average team look good . but will sink under the pressure of the crest.
Hate to say we prob have to wait to summer for anything meaningful.
It's been a bad calender year . and we won the league! . justbdoesnt make sense!
26 Nov 2025 22:38:44
If Klopp would listen then get talking, we need his man management and fire. Iraola is not providing that, this hell hole we're in right now needs more than just tactics.
26 Nov 2025 22:45:05
Big Sam would be an improvement on the Slot right now.
26 Nov 2025 22:47:05
Just not sure its the way forward for me Klopp, don't think it will ever be long term.
If he comes in short term, its a case of finding someone to replace the irreplacable.
26 Nov 2025 22:54:16
So we're bringing in iraola for an Areola.
26 Nov 2025 22:58:57
Get rid of Slot today. Don’t even wait another game - absolute joke. Get Klopp back til the end of the season. He will get this team playing and secure top 4. Then iraeola in summer if Klopp doesn’t want to stay.
Konate should never play for the club again. Evident for weeks and shows Slot’s weakness as a manager to keep playing him. He is costing us game after game.
26 Nov 2025 23:11:12
Give it Kloppo 'til end o' season!
26 Nov 2025 23:37:15
Said it in the chat. Klopp took over from Brendan in October 2015 and finished 8th that season. It’s 6 weeks further in to this season already.
He would need all his old backroom staff to come back in - unlikely. He would need a pre-season to get fitness levels up, that doesn’t happen half way through a season.
Plus - there’s Edwards. We know they’ve clashed in the past.
He won’t come back, Edwards would sanction him coming back and if he did come back it’s unlikely to change anything this season.
Appreciate the rumours Neddy.
26 Nov 2025 23:52:30
I honestly don't understand why people wouldn't want Klopp as an interim manager. He loves the club and his tactics and man management would light the fire our boys need to turn this season around.
I get people don't want a knee jerk reaction or to be in the position where we have to sack a manager mid season, but I don't want to be in the position we're in and see no hope that Slot can turn this around now. Maybe if he had shown adaptable after RM and villa results and continued with more positive tactics, but we've somehow gotten more ponderous and boring since then.
Unfortunately, the time has come.
27 Nov 2025 00:00:40
Ron, Klopp finished 8th in his first season because his ideas were new to the team, he sacked off the league for the Europa, plus the squad was grim. It's a completely different scenario.
27 Nov 2025 00:14:42
Slots exit is being considered. Klopp is not coming back.
Fabregas?
27 Nov 2025 00:14:39
Point is Babbity, Klopp’s methods are unique to him. He’s not going to change fitness levels in a few weeks whilst the season is on-going. He’s not going to rejuvenate Salah, Robertson and Virgil. His ideas will be new to Isak, Ekitike, Kerkez, Frimpong, Chiesa and Wirtz.
Gakpo and Grav didn’t exactly excel under Klopp.
You’re forgetting how we finished under Klopp, arguments with Salah on the sideline and players quitting.
He hasn’t got peak Salah, peak Mane, peak Virgil and peak Bobby.
27 Nov 2025 00:41:45
Klopp was never about coaching or making players better technically. He was about making them, and us, believe and getting them to put their bodies on the line, something that is completely lacking right now.
I personally don't think it would be a good move to bring him back.
He left for a reason. If he came in as an interim and turned it around there would be a clamour for him to sign up for another contract.
But looking at what is out there, I can't see anything that could potentially give us the kick he could.
27 Nov 2025 01:55:35
Abreast doing really well with Como.
27 Nov 2025 01:57:24
Klopp was never about coaching or making players better technically? Really?

Klopp's strength has always been to forge a sense of camaraderie throughout the entire team. However, people often forget how different the football was during the latter parts of his time with us. He dropped the hard press of the team and favoured a more intentional build up in his latter years.
We've not been "gegenpressing" since we won the title in 2020. He was also visibly worn out by the end so I'm not sure he would be the success people think he would be. I don't want his legacy to be tainted so I think we should look forward to a new manager who can make this team perform to its highest potential.
27 Nov 2025 04:19:14
If we're making a change now, the only realistic move I can see happening is that we appoint an interim to see the season out. then buy us time to sort the long term manager.
27 Nov 2025 06:43:56
Not one for trigger happy decision, but if we do not make changes soon, there might soon be nothing to change for.
Drop Kerkez and bring back Robertson and we started winning, and then what do we do? We bring back Kerkez.
We are leaking goals, and there's problem. What do we do? Do the same thing and hope for different result.
FFS!
Kerkez should get nowhere near the team. He is a Sunday league footbaler. hit and run and run and fall.
If we do not play Gomez, and yet use the fact that he had only played so many minutes and is not fit to play, how does this work?
Againts PSV, the defence is horrendous.
See how VVD raise his hand, how Kerkez kept the only play with a threat in a move onside and yet stay on the wrong side of the player, how Jones attempted to cross into his own penalty box while defending, and how Konate continues to remain rubbish.
Still, I think our midfield is the issue, and there's where changes need to start.
Definitely I would not use the same players, play the same way and hope for different outcome.
I would have brought in Endo and work with Grav as double pivot to shore up the defensive side of things.
Macca can be dropped for now. Szobo can play ahead of that 2, or so can Wirtz, with Endo taking over from Endo.
Gakpo has been rubbish almost all season, apart from the odd games.
Bring nothing to the game.
Time for Chisea perhaps, who seems more hurt than the rest.
Talking abt Gakpo, need to talk abt that hopeless Kerkez. Every pass to Gakpo he did, will follow with him running in front of Kerkez right into the middle, and even the penalty box.
No width, no variation, and restrict Gakpo's option too.
Kerkez must be the most hopeless player I have seen in defence since Konchesky.
{Ed001's Note - sorry but that is utter crap - Kerkez is not the issue and you are making nonsense comments about him. He is nothing like Konchesky, you are making crap up. He has more ability in his right toe than that useless gimp had in his whole body. Bringing back Robbo didn't fix anything either, it was the reversion to Klopp's tactical approach that brought success.}
27 Nov 2025 07:12:58
Klopp as temp with Gerrard as assitant, hopefully preparing to step up. Our club does best when there is a deep connection between players, leadership and the fans.
27 Nov 2025 07:15:05
I said before. The huge Klopp gives is not simple. You need a man with emotional energy to pull it off, otherwise it's cringe. Klopp has that energy of general where troops willing to die for him. But i don't want too much damage to Slot career! Slot is great tactician.
We could go back to Roy Evans - Benitez set up.
27 Nov 2025 08:04:05
Klopp would turn this around in a flash and it’s perfect time with the run of games we have coming up.
By the time we got through these games the player’s fitness levels would be back to where they should be.
This is not form under slot this his his management style it slowly kicked in last season as the player fitness levels dropped and by February we where not competitive and even with our start we have not been this season we where lucky at the beginning of the season a lot of that was down to other teams not getting up to full fitness as the season had just started but as the season as go on and there fitness levels go up and ours stay the same we are second to every 50/ 50.
27 Nov 2025 07:45:29
BTS what on earth are you talking about.
Anyway if Klopp’s wife wants to manage us we take it. Anyone related to Klopp would be terrific.
27 Nov 2025 08:31:24
Kerkez doesn't get into the premier league team of the year for nothing. it's how he's coached now that's the problem. there's a good player in there somewhere.
27 Nov 2025 08:47:26
Well @Ed01, not saying that Kerkez is the issue. He is AN issue, but that is my opinion.
I agree it is a tactical approach that really rocked everything.
My though is that we still lacked defensive cohesiveness which can be provided by a functioning midfield, and of course this is a tactical problem.
Yesterday however, was a defensive horror show on top of that.
27 Nov 2025 10:05:33
Kerkez is not up to the standard the club expects you can say it is tactics but a pro must be able to adapt to all systems and i am afraid Kerkez can not adapt .
His defending is school boy and it mostly ends up in him doing a last ditch tackle .
Also VVD looks mentally fatigued he has not had a rest for months.
Grav has fell of a mountain along with maca, Gapko and Mo and Slot looks like a rabbit in the headlights and i have backed him to sort this mess out but loosing all hope .
Probably karma for us all laughing at efc and mufc for their poor seasons. YNWA.
27 Nov 2025 14:42:23
With the exception of Dom and probably Ekitike not 1 single player is performing to the level expected of them. It's unfair to target Kerkez saying that he should be able to adapt. What about all the other players, many of whom were good enough to win the title last season and who have not had to try and settle at a new club?
The team is broken and has not played well all season. A new manager needs to be seen as a reset for all of the players. If a new manager can come in and get the team playing some decent football we can then start to assess the new players properly. They are excellent players and to write them off in the current situation would be insane.

Interest from the Dutch tax authorities for tax avoidance on his numerous properties in Holland?
26 Nov 2025 22:38:33
How is he our starting left winger? We used to have warriors up front. He’s soft as baby rubbish. Was never excited when he joined and he shown nothing over the three seasons he’s been here. Bores me to death watching him.
27 Nov 2025 02:58:27
Jude Yellingatthem - You mean the same Gakpo who scored 18 goals last season and 16 goals the season before? Suddenly crap is he?
Or is he simply a victim of the absolute rubbish system that Slot is having this team play week after week, game after game?
26 Nov 2025 12:43:32
Hello all,
I believe we will get a deal done for Semenyo this winter.
The clubs have a marvelous relationship even prior to Richard Hughes appointment.
Guehi is more difficult.
I would not be surprised if we dangled the carrot of Harvey Elliott on loan plus cash to Palace.
Ta.

26 Nov 2025 13:05:29
Thanks Carra.
26 Nov 2025 13:24:13
Would be a good signing for me.
Would instantly replace Salah on the right for me, whilst also covering the left as well.
A much needed shot in the arm and drive and energy in the front line.
However with the interest in Gakpo I do wonder and fear Semenyo is going to be his replacement instead.
26 Nov 2025 13:28:46
Could work all round. Harvey needs minutes and if Semenyo comes in then he will likely find his time even more limited than last season. It would be a huge bonus to get Guehi in.
26 Nov 2025 13:31:32
Crystal Palace offered a reasonable deal plus additions in early talks (I don't know if loaning Harvey is part of that. makes sense though) . I think Semenyo will be done as well, but then I thought Guehi was done initially.
26 Nov 2025 13:31:53
Thanks Carra.
Any other CH irons in the fire in case Palace won’t budge?
26 Nov 2025 13:40:25
I don’t fear Gakpo being replaced in the slightest, he’s the weakest 6’4” footballer I’ve ever seen. He makes Peter Crouch look like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
26 Nov 2025 13:44:11
Im not a football expert but it is pretty simple to see that we need some centre backs, full backs and midfielders. Attack would be the last place i would look to strengthen. We are conceding 2/ 3 goals a game. Fair enough, this is because they have given up, but i would seriously start with the defence.
VVD is not even breaking a sweat these days and, well, everyone knows what i am going to say about Konate, so won't even bother. But he should not be awarded a new contract, whatsoever.
26 Nov 2025 13:44:17
Thanks Carra
Anything happening on the manager front? Been holding out for an update!
26 Nov 2025 14:10:38
Would Elliot be able to complete the deal having played for Liverpool and Villa already this season?
26 Nov 2025 14:19:58
If Semenyo is coming in, I hope it's down the left long term to give Kerkez a chance at showing he's up to playing for us long term, they have a better understanding of when amd how to unleash each other, the quandary there is who to play on the Right, could Ekitike play there with Bradley or Frimpong overlapping?
26 Nov 2025 15:23:56
Can’t see Elliott getting minutes at Palace. Doesn’t fit their system at all, would be another wasted loan.
26 Nov 2025 14:32:59
We need to go back to the Klopp days with transfers and recruit players that fit into the way the team is set up to play. No idea why we bought Isak or Wirtz as good as they maybe in other teams, they don’t fit into our team.
Losing the intensity of Diaz and Nunez and replacing them with Isak and Wirtz for £250m has been a disaster.
26 Nov 2025 14:57:29
Thanks Carra your the best, I do think that we need to sign a right back, really hate it when Szob has to fill in at right back when Bradley is out, which happens far too often,
So that's 3 new players to come in, it would really enable us to get Top Four.
26 Nov 2025 16:11:21
To thunderbird. I don’t fear Gakpo being replaced as such. I fear Semenyo replacing him, meaning we are stuck with Salah limping about on the right still.
If Semenyo comes in and compliments what we already have then I’m all for it.
26 Nov 2025 16:29:26
Mikey, Semenyo would be a big upgrade on Gakpo, think what Thunderbird says sums it up.
26 Nov 2025 16:43:57
Was about to ask the same thing Kha. Carra, any insight on the manager?
26 Nov 2025 17:08:30
Why do you think semenyo is a big upgrade on gakpo?
26 Nov 2025 17:29:46
Because we have eyes Patrik.
26 Nov 2025 17:36:28
Cheers Carra for update.
26 Nov 2025 17:46:38
He’s quicker, offers more physicality, is prepared to run at defenders, wins the ball in the air, isn’t afraid of tackling. Just a few things Patrik. Defenders are genuinely terrified of Semenyo as he’s a genuine threat, I’m not so sure they are of Gakpo as they know he’s not going to beat them for pace or physicality.
26 Nov 2025 17:46:49
Semenyo coming in will cover both Gakpo and Salah, we have plenty of options for out left including Wirtz and Ekitike, possibly even Rio or Chiesa, not wanting to disrespect Gakpo but he is always a conundrum for me out left, lacks pace, is predictable and doesn’t have that hunger for goals like a mane or Salah.
Definitely a player who can be improved on, open to debate it Semenyo is an improvement….
26 Nov 2025 18:06:58
as well as all the traits mentioned I think the best thing about semenyo is that he is genuinely comfortable on both wings. last time I checked he had the exact same number of goals and assists from starts on each wing. so in terms of building a new attack post salah (and obviously gakpo isn't someone to build around), semenyo is the perfect first signing.
kind of reminds me of when we signed mane and he started on the right then we brought in salah and he moved to the left. leaves space for olise if that's ever possible. maybe that's the plan long term?
26 Nov 2025 18:34:51
Thanks for your update Carra, much appreciated.
26 Nov 2025 19:36:52
Bayern Munich intersted in Guehi. Seen a German guy on the TV box today. Didn't catch his name.
He did say he still thinks Liverpool will get him.
We don't want to get in a bidding war for the sake of a few quid.
YNWA.
26 Nov 2025 22:20:09
Can't imagine opposition players fear Gakpo at all. Very limited and even more predictable. Semenyo is many levels above.
25 Nov 2025 18:16:25
Hi all!
According to BayernSpace, Bayern Munich was informed that Liverpool contacted Julian Nagelsmann's agent about his potential availability post-2026 World Cup. Nagelsmann won't leave Germany before then, but an early exit is possible for a big club. Jurgen Klopp is reportedly advising Liverpool on this, and could succeed Nagelsmann nationally.

25 Nov 2025 21:26:02

25 Nov 2025 22:06:39
Egocentric managers do not go over well in L4.
He was not under consideration pre Slot, and i doubt very much that this has changed.
25 Nov 2025 23:37:51
Why would Bayern Munich be informed of our approach for Nagelsmann though?
26 Nov 2025 07:40:33
As much as I'm not a fan of Bagels man or sacking managers. Bayernspace were definitely all over Wirtz and stood firm on their belief that he wouldn't join Bayern even though Bayern were releasing stories to the press that a deal was pretty much done.
I think they upset Wirtz's parents from what I remember. SourKraut on here also back the story as he/ she had link to the Wirtz family.
Personally I would love to turn it around but like many have said, including the Eds, he's not learning or changing things back to what worked. eventually something will have to give.
26 Nov 2025 08:24:16
Exactly Drac. Why would it be of any business of Bayern? Didn’t they bin him off?
26 Nov 2025 10:21:21
@Drac I think it was probably just his agent trying to get Bayern interested in giving him another go.
Or because their official website thinks that he is still the manager!
"Julian Nagelsmann has been head coach at FC Bayern since the summer of 2021.".
26 Nov 2025 09:17:46
Maybe Bayern didn't pay him off because of the compensation he would be owed. They may still pay him a monthly wage so technically he is still contracted to them.
26 Nov 2025 11:52:50
It was widely reported at the time that Nagelsmann would stay on the Bayern Munich Payroll until he found a new club. He's still picking up an annual salary from Bayern, because they don't want to pay him off, and Bayern also agreed to release him to the DFB National side, as they couldn't afford to buy out his contract either.
No settlement was ever reached. So this rumour actually makes perfect sense as Nagelsmann would need to be bought out of his Bayern deal to take a new club role.
26 Nov 2025 13:46:41
I'm not totally sold on Nagelsmann, but think he would be an interesting appointment. I do like the idea of Hurzeler.
Truth is, I really like Slot, and it seemed last season like his tactics were very adaptable given the opponent (I was particularly impressed with the decision to use a 4-2-2-2 against City) . My hope is that he regains that mindset and turns it around. I'm not sure how hopeful I am of that right now though.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
25 Nov 2025 17:34:55
I don't know true this is because it came from someone that has never said a thing to me before. This fella works at boardroom level for a financial institution, so has no reason to be taking the p. I hope haha.
Apparently there is a 5 man shortlist, with 3 of them being on the last one when we where looking for Klopps successor.
If my memory serves me correctly. Slot was appointed and Amorin is at UTD. Alonso, Iriola and De Zebri were the others but none are currently appointable.
The other 2 we are rumoured to be interested in is Nagglesman and Hurzler. Again both won't leave their respective jobs before the summer.
The club are continuing to back Slot mind, they are in no rush because they are willing to wait for the right man rather than jump the gun.
So basically unless something mad happens and we lose our next 5 league games on the bounce. Slot is most likely to be here until at least the summer.

5 points off second isn't insurmountable by any stretch but something has got to start happening very soon.
Ireola or Alonso if things go pear shaped at Real and we don't pick up some serious points before the new year.
As always, appreciate the insight ?.
25 Nov 2025 18:07:56
Got to say carras shout that slot won't be in charge next season is starting to look more likely .
As said in other thread nagelsmann does not feel me with confidence .
Like the sound of Alonso (if real give in to reported player power) but like Ed . that may just be love for the player .
Thanks as always fields . all we need now is Ned to say something similar and will be pretty much a done thing in my book.
25 Nov 2025 18:43:38
Regardless of the fact that he's a club legend, the fact that Alonso could get the best out of Wirtz as he did at Leverkusen is a big plus.
25 Nov 2025 18:44:56
I wouldn't be surprised if Slot does a Postecoglou this season and wins the CL and finishes 17th in PL.
25 Nov 2025 18:49:40
Alonso or Ireola for me . don't want Nagelsmann near the club.
25 Nov 2025 21:30:55

25 Nov 2025 22:10:24
• Xabi Alonso
• Andoni Iraola
• Eddie Howe
• Sebastian Hoeness
• Michel
• Simone Inzaghi
• Paulo Fonseca
• Ernesto Valverde
• Luciano Spalletti
was the shortlist.
26 Nov 2025 03:04:55
Postecoglu didn’t win the CL. What would be funny is if we win the PL …….
26 Nov 2025 04:46:01
Haven't really followed how Xabi has been going at Real and how they play, but if he were to manage at Liverpool he would have the perfect fullbacks to work with and would thrive in how Xabi used his fullbacks at Bayer.

Ok SJ I will bite, just this once.
Firstly Carra. I ain't saying he doesn't know his onions or get good info but the fact is most people fawn over him because you think he is Macca, which he ain't.
Secondly, I don't like to blow my own trumpet but for you I will just this once.
I have an in-law who is currently part of the LFC squad, I also have 2 close family friends who are ex-LFC players. One of my best mates works for the media team at LFC, you see him occasionally in the "inside training" videos at the little coffee bar. Oh and I know numerous other operational and admin staff members. that's just links to the club.
Outside of that I run a very successful business in the football world that puts me in contact with numerous reps, agents, management and even club owners. Through this I know a fair few "big wigs" in the world of business.
All of that puts me in a unique position but most of the info I get is not related to LFC. So when I do get it, I post it on here. Its just information and nothing is set in stone.
Not that I've got anything to prove to anyone, just telling you how it is mate.
Outside of Carra.
I know Victorgoddam has had info from the same sources because he has mentioned it. As has Nedflanders and RobboLFC, I can just tell by what they post. Oh and how could we forget Akira, who seems to have a bit of a bad rap at the moment and the legend that is Macca. Then we have last but by no means least, the boss. Ed1 who is pretty much spot on all the time. That's just my opinion tho.
So there you have it, multiple sources of quality information.
{Ed025's Note - which is very much appreciated TF..
26 Nov 2025 14:10:57
Craig Bellamy and Stevie G double act, like the old Ged/ Roy tag team. They would get the players fired up following a few trips to Dubai.
26 Nov 2025 17:10:46
Appreciate all those who post info/ rumours, that’s what I’m here for.
I cringe every time I read a post which says something like “I’ll only believe it when X says it” or “Y posts more concrete info than Z”
It’s not a competition, all info is gratefully received and always interpreted with the caveat that these are rumours. The football world is a very fluid world, a deal one day is not a deal the next. It doesn’t make it bad info or fake news, it just means the situation has changed.
In my humble opinion, Ed002 - God rest her/ his soul - was the most connected informed individual posting info. Even he/ she didn’t know all the deals in advance and sometimes got it wrong. But he/ she was always legit.
Rant over, thanks to the posters of info ?.

Morning Eds, in addition to hopefully Guehi, can you see the Club signing a much needed defensive midfielder like Ederson or Stiller in January? One of those alongside Grav and Dom would give us the solidity we’ve missed all season.
{Ed001's Note - Slot doesn't want or use one. We had this discussion last January and in the summer, it would be pointless even though we clearly need one.}
Agree1

24 Nov 2025 16:06:32
Well neither Stiller nor Ederson are defensive midfielders, Ederson is more of a combative all action 8 and Stiller is a deep lying playmaker, both would be welcome in our midfield at the moment though. Joao Gomes would be a superior option to Ederson, though, he's already shown that he can do it in this league and has somewhat similar qualities.
24 Nov 2025 17:08:49
Thanks Ed - well that's a big problem then as we are just too open and I still think Grav is instinctively more a number 8. Maybe tell him to get back to last season and just patrol in front of the defence and a midfield 3 of him, Curtis, and Dom would give us the physicality needed. And stop playing any of them in defence.
{Ed025's Note - i cant see why you would want Curtis anywhere near the starting 11 Joe..unless its Accringtons, far too slow and negative and hes one of the major problems for me mate, terrible terrible player..
24 Nov 2025 18:10:01
thanks Ed and good luck tonight :)
{Ed025's Note - cheers Joe..
24 Nov 2025 20:14:09
Curtis Jones? Combative? Physicality? The lad has all the physicality of a man plastic carrier bag blowing about in a hurricane and shirks tackles like his name is Trent.
24 Nov 2025 22:13:27
Cmon vic he’s not that bad.
24 Nov 2025 22:16:36
Still think our best midfield is Dom next to Grav.
Macca should be playing higher up the pitch, same as Wirtz.
24 Nov 2025 23:14:11
Honestly Scouse John, he’s a nothing midfielder, creates nothing, defensively weak, ponderous on the ball, switches off at vital moments, nah, not good enough. Has PSR profit written all over him. Can easily be improved on.
25 Nov 2025 05:32:02
Curtis is a very good squad player who can occasionally turn in a bonafide brilliant performance starting against the right opposition. The problem with him is that he needs momentum, when he gets injured or comes in and out of the side he takes a while to get up to speed until the next time his momentum is halted.
Granted he was quite awful against forest but to say he's a nothing player is grotesquely unfair.
25 Nov 2025 06:13:26
Gapko Etiteke Salah
Dom Wirtz Grav
Kerkez VVD Gomez Bradley
Allison
Baring injuries this should be our starting 11
. Let them settle.
Grav as shield
Dom Box to Box
Witrz free to roam
Kerkez / Bradley allowed to bomb fwd.
25 Nov 2025 06:48:38
The whole team was awful against Forest. Or at least they became awful after conceding the first goal. Before that, I thought we looked quite good and I was hopeful we could get a result. Jones linked up well with Szob and Salah in the initial stages of that game imo.
Jones didn't do any worse than any other player on the pitch against forest. In fact, I don't think he was our worse midfielder on that day. I though he was just as anonymous as Grav and played better than Macca.
25 Nov 2025 07:39:31
I don't think Jones was any worse than our other midfielders, but he wasn't any better, all three of them had their weaknesses brutally exposed. Grav isn't a passer and he can't thread a ball through the lines or hit a runner in behind when he isn't pressed, his primary function is to carry through the press and on the turn in crowded areas. Macca is a progressive passer in midfield but not over long distances, and off the ball he can be a liability. Jones also works well in crowded areas and is a willing presser, but again he does not have the vision or passing range to deliver an early ball out wide or to a streaking forward running in behind.
Game by game I can't help but feel that on the ball the player we miss the most is Trent. Whether that's whipping a pinpoint ball into the box or finding a player in behind, that used to be Trent's job all day, and it doesn't matter whether the actual delivery was on point all the time because the very possibility of him being able to do that was on the opposition's mind from first minute to last, and our players could make those runs knowing that he could find them more often than not.
Honestly speaking if Trent was still here the way we are playing right now, with our ridiculously slow and awkward transition play allowing the opposition to sit into their block and us praying for somebody to get on the end of something in a packed box, wouldn't be quite as much of an issue, he could create and find a corridor of space in the most congested boxes, and he always had his head up to get the ball up the field early. We're playing like Trent was still here, and that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
The number of times Isak and Ekitike were trying to get in behind against Forest and our midfielders not knowing what to do was bewildering, which is another reason why Dom HAS to play in there, he is the only midfielder we have who has the ability to hit those passes with any consistency or success. It's the same when we are building out from defense, when Virgil is blocked out and Konate is forced to carry or pass through the lines on his own, he often has no idea what to do either.
People are saying that Slot has ripped up the playbook and gone for something entirely new rather than what works, but for me it just looks like we're actually stuck in a halfway house between an old way of playing and a new way of playing that we need to play, but which hasn't emerged.
We're still getting the ball to Mo whenever we can, but then removing the pieces around him, especially when we lump attackers on willy nilly chasing the game, that allowed him to succeed. We finally bought a 9, but instead of having him do false 9 things like Nunez occupying defenders or letting him get on the ball anywhere near as much as he did with Newcastle, we just stick him in a packed box where he has to feed on scraps (if you can even call them scraps) . That just means that Isak is a complete non-factor because it's like playing with 10 men, he doesn't need to press to save his legs, everybody knows that the other players are looking for Mo and not him when he comes short, and while he is okay in the air there is no hope of him getting on anything when he is crowded out on an aerial ball in the box. If we're not going to play to his strengths and involve him in the game, then what on earth is the point of playing him?
It's the same with Wirtz, whose job in our team is to continually drop into midfield to get us up the field, but that's not where his principal strengths lie, or Kerkez, who whenever he receives the ball in his favored position has to defer to Gakpo every time, who just ignores him whenever Kerkez gets into space near the touchline or for a give and go.
If we have a future that features these players, then we need to see that future take shape now, to me it feels like Slot isn't actually doing what so many have accused him of doing and is holding on to remnants of an old way of playing without building the structure around the new pivots and anchors that we have. That just leads to this mish-mash of weak and confusing football where the strengths of our players are being nullified, and all our offensive play is built around Cody and Mo isolating their fullbacks while everybody else stands around.

Ed, hasn't anyone talk or told him that a proper defensive midfielder who can do dirty work can help this team by a lot? That our midfield has clearly has been bullied in a lot of matches dating back to last season.
I would assume Hughes or Edwards who has more experience in EPL would see this problem and talk to him. Or is it Slot himself who is stubborn and doesn't really want to change the way he setup the team?
{Ed001's Note - people have certainly told him so, but he doesn't want to use one, in fact quite the opposite. He has instead given the closest thing we have to one, more license to get forward.}

I was thinking about Gravs new licence to get forward more ed001, as much as he is capable of doing it, it’s quite disastrous defensively for the team.
I was seeing that there’s big interest in Macca as well.
Do you think selling Macca and bringing in a proper 6 and allowing Grav to operate as more of an 8 would work well?
I was thinking his versatility would work well with a proper 6 next to him, allows him to go forward when possible and sit back when up against it.
Not that Slots going to buy a 6, but he may also not be manager for much longer.
{Ed001's Note - I would much prefer to do that, I am not a fan of Macca though.}

I would back not having a DM if we had CBs and FBs that could progress the ball. We didn't do that either - which means we have the worst of both worlds.

The problem is that Grav going forward is only effective because he is nominally a 6, nobody expects a 6 to be very involved in attacking situations, which means that they receive less defensive attention in the final third, it's the explanation for why the likes of Caicedo and Palhinha been involved in goal scoring situations.
Also Grav has shown, in his spells in Ajax and for the last two years, that his best position is not as an 8, even though he has the skill set of an 8, but as a deep lying midfielder carrying the ball through the lines. If he is to be given more license to go forwards, then surely somebody has to cover for him in those situations, preferably the other pivot who plays alongside him. The problem is that clearly we don't do that, and that Mac Allister is hardly the kind of player you want doing that either. So I would suggest the solution is not to play Grav as an 8, but to have somebody who can cover for him and plug his space if he is to make forays forward on occasion.

Curtis is an easy target but he’s a very important player in the squad.

@ed 25, agreed on Jones.
He has the greatest tendency to be robbed off the ball, doens;t offer much going forward nor much defending.
Good squad player to have around but not a first 11 material.
{Ed025's Note - i will have that Wayne..

Absolutely nothing to do with transfers or whatnot, but Liverpool are currently looking at bringing influencer culture a lot closer to the club next season onwards. Additionally, the club is making an attempt to allow customers to design and buy their own custom LFC branded kit at a premium price starting next season onwards.
Something a bit new for you all anyways ?.

The games gone.

Kits are already ridiculously priced, how premium can you get? Lol.

Sorry, can someone explain what an ‘influencer culture’ is please and how one would bring it ‘closer to the club’. Where is and how far away is it from the club at present?
I’m old so I have no idea (or interest, if I’m honest) in what an ‘influencer culture ‘ is - to me it sounds like someone or thing that encourages the weak minded or those who are incapable of thinking for themselves to believe what they are being told.
It certainly seems to have nothing to do with football or being a fan.

Freebies to promote you.
