Literally been in Liverpool today visiting a client for work. (Not football related work). And a lot of people, especially around Concert Square where we had a few cheeky ones, were all saying Trent back to Liverpool. Anyone know of any truth in this.
I could see him personally wanting to com back even if he does not admit it with the signing of Dumfries knocking him further down the pecking order.
And him behind Diomande with his pace could be TAA & Salah take 2...

No chance.
04 Jun 2026 16:50:29
He can sulk on the Madrid bench. He made his bed, he's gotta lie in it.
04 Jun 2026 16:57:20
He who is without sin etc etc... I'd have him back in a heartbeat.
04 Jun 2026 16:58:38
Going to cost Madrid 20 million to send him back.
04 Jun 2026 17:05:30
He was unbelievable for Jurgan but I don't think he suits our new manager.
04 Jun 2026 17:10:44
These rumours have been doing the rounds ever since he left. It's not happening. The lad's a lot more arrogant than he lets on; he's not scurrying back with his tail between his legs.
04 Jun 2026 17:13:22
Not happening.
04 Jun 2026 17:17:55
Anyone who doesn't want Trent back is so bitter they should be supporting Everton. They are also clueless about Liverpool, despite having watched them for years. Losing Trent was one of the biggest factors for the poor form last season. The whole team was affected, mostly Salah, who missed the long pass that got the ball to him early before the opposition had time to regain their shape.
A lot of the turgid passing around at the back was because, apart from VVD with the diagonal out to Salah, nobody else could beat the press with a quick accurate ball out to midfield. If Hughes and Edwards get the other recruitment right, I would go as far as to say that with Trent we would win the league. I'm sure Iraola would love him back and Trent would suit his system perfectly.
04 Jun 2026 17:24:01
He can't come back just yet... Has a Ballon d'Or to win over there...
04 Jun 2026 17:29:40
Tbh a lot of the turgid passing around the back was due to the coach. Trent wouldn't have been allowed to play to his strengths last season, Salah wouldn't have got any early balls and if he did he would have been on his own.
04 Jun 2026 17:29:45
I'm not bitter. I just think f*** him. He didn't give a toss about us. No effort in games (Utd springs to mind). Nah, no way back, like if your bird jumps into bed with another fella, no use to us now he's soiled.
04 Jun 2026 17:25:53
KemlynRoad .And you call other supporters clueless!
04 Jun 2026 17:32:42
Man chases riches and accepts a new job after years of service at his previous one - hardly a first or out of the ordinary, although I understand why our tribalism causes us to be unhappy about how he went about it.
He's still the best RB on the planet though, in the right team.
04 Jun 2026 17:34:05
Get a grip, Kemlyn!! Lad was flat out learning Spanish; he couldn't have got out of LFC fast enough! He sold his soul, and his status as a LFC legend went in smoke with the lad!
Best of look to him where ever he ends, but I, for one of many, never want him in LFC red again!!
04 Jun 2026 17:52:18
Strongly biased here, as McManaman and Trent were two of my favourite players to watch. I don't understand why players who cost us nothing have a duty to get us a transfer fee?
McManaman was perhaps more justified in doing an 'Bosman' after Houllier moved out Roy Evans, fell out with Fowler, and tried to shift Macca to Barcelona without consulting him.
Isn't Mo's behaviour worse? Was given a two year contract, then threw his toys out of the pram and demanded a free transfer after being benched for just 3 games.
I reckon Klopp would have advised against giving Mo that extension - a storm was going to come once he was no longer first choice. It's why Klopp let Mane go.
These guys have such short careers, I can't blame Trent for wanting to test himself overseas after winning every single cup with us. I don't think that this makes him any more arrogant than any of the alphas who are top level players.
It takes a certain kind of ego to make it to the top of any sport. I would take Trent back in a heartbeat.
04 Jun 2026 17:58:14
KemlynRoad, any idea how many assists Trent provided for Salah? 13, mate. That's not per season, that's over 9 years, total. Tell me again how Salah's not scoring because Trent's gone. Did somebody say clueless?
04 Jun 2026 18:12:53
I personally don't want him back for football and financial reasons. He didn't kill anyone, so I'm over him winding down his contract and stringing the fans along. But he's too inconsistent, defensively poor, and old for his transfer fee and salary. Avoid.
04 Jun 2026 18:17:05
If this were true, how would it work? Wouldn't we have to pay Real a fortune?
04 Jun 2026 18:18:51
Trent's head has got far too big for our club, if he had never played for us we wouldn't want him anywhere near us.
He thinks he does not have to defend and just walks around like he is the greatest player since Pele.
If we changed his attitude, worked hard, I would have him back in a heartbeat, but the player he is, no thanks.
Shankly would have dragged him out by his hair, and not let him back in, total opposite of what this club stands for.
What a shame for a child that grew up loving this club, that he went so far away, but I guess that's the world today.
04 Jun 2026 18:30:43
Trent didn't care about us when he left, in return I don't care about him now he has.
04 Jun 2026 19:11:44
More chance of Slot returning than Trent!
04 Jun 2026 19:56:40
A lot of replies to answer here. Can't do them all, but will try to cover some points. Yes, he left. I didn't like it, but have any of you not made a mistake? Rush left and came back. I called you bitters, because you just can't let anything go, even if it cuts off your nose to spite your face. A bit like Reform voters who will vote to give up their free healthcare and human rights, in exchange for being allowed to be racist. They don't get the better of the deal, but they don't care. If Trent helps Liverpool to win the Premier or Champions League, I don't care if he left and came back.
ChewySuarez7, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you just made a mistake. That sounds better than saying you don't know what you're talking about. You said Trent only gave Salah 13 assists. Not bad for a right back who plays on the same side of the pitch, but that's not what I said.
If Trent hits a long ball and puts Salah free on the right, and Salah crosses it for someone else to score, does Trent get that assist? No, but it was the key pass in the move. First game I watched this season was the pre-season friendly at Preston. I was behind the goal and watched Salah make countless runs in behind then stop, because the ball never came. I said to my son next to me that Salah would have a bad season because his service would be restricted, but I didn't realise how bad it would be.
For the record, I don't think Liverpool will bring him back, because they won't pay a fee for someone they only got 8 million for. But whoever they sign, they won't fit the system better than Trent. Bradley and Frimpong combined are not as good.
04 Jun 2026 20:00:33
As far as I remember macca never said he wasn't any where signing a contract, so can't tar him with that brush unlike Owen, Trent and I oh
I might be wrong, ed1 will know
04 Jun 2026 20:01:22
Don't give a monkeys what you think Kemlyn. Virtue signalling at best. You're welcome to write your opinion on supporters who don't want the cretin back on a bit of 24 grit sandpaper, roll it up and stick as far where the sun doesn't shine as you can. I've an extremely low opinion of Arnold and his family (particularly his cretinous brothers and his cousin who made the "victim" slur of which no apology was forthcoming), he gave it all that trite nonsense about "it means more" only to then say it was always his dream to play for Real Madrid after spending two years learning Spanish, he strung the club along for two years instead of being honest, he mocked us as supporters by giving us the "shhhh" gesture then there was that whole vulgar "summer of 66" nonsense.
No, he can stay in Madrid. Rubbish defender with an above average right foot and that's being generous, his performances in his last season were unforgivably poor on the whole (particularly against Man United, that's one of the worst displays by a defender in a Liverpool shirt I've ever seen, and I've seen Piechnik, Kvarme and Konchesky), the only good thing is that the clown show defending has continued at Madrid, good luck winning that Balon D'or. I don't want to hear comparisons with Ian Rush as there are none. He's as bad as Michael Owen. Anyone thinking it's a good use of valuable resources bringing back a washed up soon to be 28 year old not very good right back needs their heads testing.
04 Jun 2026 21:20:19
Viktor,
I knew you'd bring up Michael Owen. That proves my point. Anything that you perceive hurts your feelings, and there's no going back. Michael Owen wanted to come back. He asked Gerrard and Carragher to plead his case. Liverpool didn't want him back, which is fair enough. But he was left with two choices, Manchester United or Hull City. Who would you take for the probable final move of your career if it were you? So he chose Man Utd, and all the 'supporters' who can't accept someone doing something that doesn't fit in with their childish way of thinking will never forgive him for evermore.
Grow up. I can accept you don't want Trent back for football reasons, but not because a professional left one job for another and you almost perceive it as a personal rejection.
04 Jun 2026 21:22:04
Ballon D'Or? Balloon head, that's what he is!
04 Jun 2026 21:29:38
I enjoy your posts, VV, however, imo TAA was a fantastic football player for LFC. I don't know anything about the man or his family past that fact. Nor do I really care. An above average right boot is a slight to what he produced on the pitch for us during those blissful years. I'd have him back in the morrow.
04 Jun 2026 21:42:45
Kemlyn, I (probably every Scouse red) would choose rabies over Utd.
04 Jun 2026 23:54:04
Great on the transition and attack, but always suspect in defence, and now with his confidence completely shot. Not at all what we need.
I think it's time for us to make the most of this transition and bring some solidity to our defence with a solid RB, not another defensive liability.
Need to move on from the romanticism of Trent.
05 Jun 2026 04:59:24
Maybe we need to move away from the villification of Trent too. Both Klopp and Slot have come out and said that him not tracking back was on their instruction, not him getting a big head and refusing to track back. In his earlier years, he was decent at defending and would track back but all it took was a throwaway comment from a poor England manager to turn the entire fanbase against him.
We also weren't sure what the full story was behind him leaving us, whether it was him stringing us along or the ineptitude of the backroom staff.
But we have let our perception turn into facts and are refusing to listen to any other alternatives.
He was a great RB for us and was a key player for all that we won under Klopp and also for the PL title last season. He still holds the record for most assists from RB and will likely retain that for some time to come. To say that he was a "below average RB with an above average right foot" is underselling him imo and is more rooted in emotions than in fact.

04 Jun 2026 17:43:53
What's their number, mate? I'll give them a bell as well, see if I can swing it for us. ?

What!!!
Yeah!!!
My Lil'Jon impersonation if we do manage to land Diomande.
04 Jun 2026 16:17:33
Afternoon Gents
From what I've been told,
PSG think Diomande is too expensive, especially considering what options they already have.
The player likes PSG, he also likes LFC, this is just a media spin.
He hasn't agreed to join PSG, in fact, no official bid for him as of yet, from us, or PSG.
But I expect we will make the 1st move.
The player wants a deal done quickly, and so does LFC.
Cheers.
P.S. The transfer request from Gakpo is nonsense.

Thanks, Robbo. He is an exciting player. Hopefully he joins.
04 Jun 2026 16:51:51
Any other wingers we're looking at if this doesn't materialise?
04 Jun 2026 16:52:36
Thanks, Robbo, it's posts like this that make this site incomparable to any other site out there. To you, and all the other regular ITK's, keep up the good work. It's appreciated by the majority. Thank you.
04 Jun 2026 16:53:47
Cheers Robbo, I must say I'm gutted the transfer request from Gakpo isn't genuine. He can be really good, but he's not an Iraola player.
04 Jun 2026 17:06:00
Thanks, Elnino. I was just about to ask the exact same thing. Is he worth the money or are there less risky alternatives, lads?
04 Jun 2026 17:12:31
Loely jubbly.
04 Jun 2026 17:16:43
I also think Diomande is expensive. We need 5-6 first team players this summer. Spending £100 million on one seems excessive.
04 Jun 2026 17:19:06
He looks a great player, but feel he's way overpriced.
04 Jun 2026 17:30:46
We should take that Rayan kid from Bournemouth too.
04 Jun 2026 17:34:05
Fees have gone crazy, but then so has the money in the game. The issue is with the pressure that comes with such fees, and the stats around how many players over 80m have been deemed a failure. 20 out of 27.
04 Jun 2026 18:14:11
"Bundesliga Tax" whenever Yan Diomande is brought up exhausts me.
Should you temper expectations for a 19 year old coming from abroad to the Premier League?
Absolutely.
But even if you subscribe to the "Bundesliga Tax" theory, please understand that Yan Diomande's '25/26 campaign is categorically the best u21 season in recent memory from the Bundesliga.
Whatever tax you need to mentally apply, double the starting value.
04 Jun 2026 14:52:29
Not ITK in the slightest but the latest I’ve seen online are that PSG are more interested in Kroupi Jr and see him as a more viable financial option to Diomande. It appears they’re focusing more on Kroupi who is keen on the deal.

I hope that's not the case, would feel so bad for him if that happened. Same with Robbo, I hope he gets to lead his team out.
04 Jun 2026 15:51:17
Does Mo Salah mate with Mo Salha?
04 Jun 2026 16:13:44
Bazz, no, Mo Salah is very close with Sarah Salad though, but keep it quiet.
04 Jun 2026 17:20:57
Forgot to add Salam to that, Zed.
04 Jun 2026 13:30:03
Keep an eye on Matheus Fernandes from West Ham, interest in him and Scott along with Wharton in terms of the players in the league.
Imagine we might increase interest in Scott especially with Iraola coming in.
Also just a tid bit, I’ve heard we are close now to securing the young lad Eichhorn from Berlin, massive if so as Bayern are out of the race.
Player pathway for youth players at Liverpool seen as a massive factor, proof in Abe signing his contract they see Rio and the opportunities he was given and it helps massively.
City were pushing for Eichhorn too but no Guardiola is a massive dent to them along with questions over their overall future as a club with potential charges incoming.
Ken.

Just heard from a friend of a very good friend, who is connected with the club in some way, Ireola intends to hijack Tottenham's verbal agreement of Senesi.
First real rumour post, but make of it what you will.
But it makes sense given Konate is off and Ireola knows him well.
Agree26

04 Jun 2026 13:31:07
It's a no brainer with Konate leaving, and for balancing the books too.
04 Jun 2026 13:32:40
It does make sense, contracts expire at the end of June, so he could be poached.
04 Jun 2026 13:34:48
He's 29. It's not happening for me. We don't buy "older" players regardless of their connections to the incoming gaffer or not. But, I guess everything's a rumour until it's not.
04 Jun 2026 13:37:52
An eye for an eye.
04 Jun 2026 13:51:11
He is on a free.
04 Jun 2026 14:02:09
Hope you're right mate. Would be an ideal scenario for me. Bit of experience to help Jacquet and Leoni settle as well.
04 Jun 2026 14:07:17
Jim, Milner was also 29 and also a free, and that worked out pretty well. We do need some older heads.
04 Jun 2026 14:21:52
Gakpo handed in a transfer request...
04 Jun 2026 14:40:46
On a free at 29, could play 5 years at cab still. No brainer for us and him I'd say.
04 Jun 2026 14:49:46
In the current market, Senesi for zero transfer fee is a no-brainer. Spurs have just bid £70,000,000 for Van Hecke.
04 Jun 2026 14:23:59
Jimble, if we're only paying signing on fee and wages, it looks better on the balance sheet, and it's likely we can offer to pay him less than what Konate's parasites wanted the club to pay him.
04 Jun 2026 15:03:15
Gary Mac was 35 when he joined.
29 for a central defender is no age, he's just reached his peak. He's got 4 years left at this level.
04 Jun 2026 15:14:03
Omg imagine being 29 and you're too old. ?
04 Jun 2026 16:08:32
Obviously, at 29 he's not a long term solution, but you have to consider the fact that there's a lot of work to be done, a lot of money to be spent, and with Mo, Robbo and Konate all leaving on a free, we have to do what we can to minimise spending this summer.
Not to mention we have Leoni and Jaquet coming through, so it's imperative to have some experience in the squad as the young lads establish themselves.
04 Jun 2026 16:15:00
Chewy, don't forget the next gen too - the 3 17-19 year old CBs who have joined/are joining.
I think Senesi on a free is a real no brainer to provide cover during the next season or two during a time of transition.
04 Jun 2026 16:22:24
Matip was a free. Senesi is just as equal and a left footer.
04 Jun 2026 16:21:28
Lofty, Konate's parasites are doing what they consider is the best for their client (and themselves). Why the bitterness or don't you do the best for yourself?
04 Jun 2026 16:27:09
Joel Matip style signings for me, one of Klopp's first, but what a signing, Sinese could be a similar masterstroke.
04 Jun 2026 16:39:23
Would be good. He's decent as a more experienced option with good distribution. You'd think in 2-3 years time Leoni and Jacquet would be fully established and we'd have the young kids breaking through.
Same age as Joe Gomez, no? But without the injury problems.
04 Jun 2026 17:22:17
007, Senesi isn't fit to carry Matip's toiletry bag, let alone shine his boots.
04 Jun 2026 18:13:42
Wirralean, all agents are parasites. Look how much money they take out of football. They are one of the biggest reasons top level football is heading towards critical implosion.
04 Jun 2026 18:18:19
Nearly half a billion paid out in agents' fees in the Premier League, Feb25-Feb26. Can't say that's insignificant.
04 Jun 2026 12:28:48
Reports linking Gakpo with Ath Madrid for £50m going around this morning. Probably a good move for all if it happens. A given confidence in him has gone from the fan base.

04 Jun 2026 12:58:57.
Seems cheap tbh.
04 Jun 2026 13:02:09
I'm not sure it has Overkill. I think he's a good player and I know a lot of other fans who think the same. He just became a target for the negative element on social media because he's Dutch and Slot was Dutch too, so it was perceived as some kind of favouritism.
He had a poor season, but he's not alone in that.
The seasons before that he's scored and assisted some really important goals for us.
I think every player deserves a clean slate with a new manager, but if he wants to go then that's a different story. We should never keep hold of any player who wants to leave.
04 Jun 2026 13:03:44
Would leave us with just Rio as wide options, as Chiesa is surely gone. Liverpool 200.0.
04 Jun 2026 13:06:20
Some disruption to the forward line. I actually think Gakpo would do really well under Iraola. Hope he stays. Unless Julian Alvarez is coming the other way as part of the deal.
04 Jun 2026 13:07:52
Personally don't rate Gakpo, he's too predictable out left and non-existent up top.
04 Jun 2026 13:08:27
Is he best suited to Andoni's style or are there better profiles?
04 Jun 2026 13:16:40
Gakpo is one of the reasons we struggle against low blocks. He congests the middle, which leaves no space for Wirtz or Isak, and has no synergy with Kerkez.
04 Jun 2026 13:17:29
Bingo, FSW. He is a quality player technically, but I don't think he is the type of player who can play heavy metal footy.
04 Jun 2026 13:19:54
Front lines going to be new anyway, Gakpo remaining won't make much difference, everyone will be under a new coaching team too. If someone's offering £50 million in snapping their hand off.
04 Jun 2026 13:21:56
I'd love 50-60M + Gackpo for Alvarez. That would make so much sense. Probably throw in someone like Endo or Chiesa for good measure to seal it.
Could happen.
04 Jun 2026 13:26:45
I personally don't rate Gakpo in the slightest. If someone offered us £50 million for him, I'd accept before they'd even got to the add-ons and payment structure, then run for the hills and never look back.
04 Jun 2026 13:27:03
Kloppiche, we can't be complaining about having a bloated, overpaid squad if we're then pushing too hard on getting the highest fee.
For me, for someone on £250k/week wages and who cost us c£40m (give or take, not sure on achieved addons) and who I think most fans do not believe can thrive in a heavy metal football environment, £50m is a really, really good price for all parties.
I would take it, thank him for his 4 years here and wish him well.
04 Jun 2026 13:28:52
If we sell Gakpo, that leaves us with just Isak who can play CF. And he has a big question mark over his fitness, based on last season.
We already have a lot of survey needed on the squad.
This would add another wide player/forward to the shopping list, on top of the one or two we already need.
04 Jun 2026 13:36:50
Isn't Alvarez going to Barca?
Gakpo can go where he likes, imo, he'll be replaced. I was never a fan of his style of play, tbh, he's had some good moments and admittedly did impressive numbers in 24/25, but I find him immensely frustrating to watch, and have done since day 1.
I was never a fan, nothing to do with this season's performance, that only cemented it for me. I'd be happy to get £70m for him and bring in Diomande and Barcola.
04 Jun 2026 13:55:12
Fields, thank you always for the good news.
Are Diomande and other targets under negotiation?
Iraola's tactics remind me of heavy metal, but I can't wait to recruit new players and get their feet together.
04 Jun 2026 13:57:29
I hope he is sold fairly quickly.
04 Jun 2026 14:28:23
Navy Keith, it's arguable that 3 forwards are required before sales, as we're down to Isak, Gakpo, and Rio as likely starters. I'd like to include Chiesa, but he's not really been in the discussion since he joined.
04 Jun 2026 15:06:22
While I'm not a fan of Gakpo, he provides depth which we didn't have last year, so, if he goes, then we will worsen our depth without Ekitike for almost the entire year, without Salah (to be replaced), probably without Chiesa and with an injury prone striker in Isak.
The rumored business, if it is 50 million guaranteed, seems decent to me.
I know that people are saying it is cheap, but at the end, not many teams outside the Premier League can afford high transfer fees / wages.
The only teams outside Premier League clubs that could afford him that I can think of are PSG, Bayern, Real Madrid, Barcelona (before the issue with La Liga regarding transfers and their debt) and some Saudi clubs. Atletico Madrid and Juventus are like a second tier in that sense because they pay for players sometimes. Therefore, it would be hard to sell Gakpo, hence why 50 million is not that bad of a business.
04 Jun 2026 15:49:08
He's worth more than £50m. There seems to be a recent trend with our recruitment team overspending and underselling players. Keep him for added squad strength. We lack bodies at the moment.
04 Jun 2026 17:23:08
Thefields, So what was he playing under Klopp?
04 Jun 2026 17:25:49
Spot on Riosstepover,
Once one idiot started slating Gakpo and saying he was related to Slot, all the unoriginal sheep followed. I agree, he never had a great season, but others were worse. Slot's style and the general lack of squad fitness affected them all.
04 Jun 2026 17:43:35
Oli, not the heavy metal football we had in Klopp's first couple of seasons. We had moved to a more possession style when Gakpo joined.
04 Jun 2026 18:57:34
The concern is depth and honesty lack of goals in the forwards.... I believe he is now our leading goal scorer of current players, with Van Dijk next. We have lost so many goals from the team it would be poor planning to let him go unless a huge offer comes in.
He may not be suited completely to style under Iraola, but think we need him for option for rotation/bench. Sturridge provided an option for Klopp early on....

Can Carra, Robbo, the Fields confirm what’s going on with Diomande, reading a lot now he prefers PSG and it’s not looking good for us. I know they went out on a limb and said it’s done to Liverpool but since this has all come out are we still confident???

What I have read, according to Fabrizio Romano, is that Liverpool could sign Yan Diomande next week as the RB Leipzig winger wants to sort his future before the World Cup.
04 Jun 2026 11:13:53
They have all come out and said what they know about Diomande - that he'd sign for us. Or at least Robbo and Carra have. Whether he does or not is another matter.
04 Jun 2026 11:14:29
Florian Plettenberg is saying Diomande hasn't given commitment to anyone yet but says we're pushing hard to get a deal done before the World Cup.
04 Jun 2026 11:15:53
Briefly.
Magnes Akilouche is in advanced talks with PSG.
Campos originally baulked at the costs associated for Diomande and turned to other options, leaving the door open for Liverpool to get a deal done.
Agency disputes and image right issues are a couple of the complexities in this transfer.
Not a straightforward deal.
If PSG decide to enter the race, they will cut the cord on Akilouche, and it could likely see one of Barcola or Mbaye leave.
I still believe Liverpool can and will conclude the transfer. We are working very hard on it and have been for some time.
Ta.

Cheers, Carra.

Tanks, Carra
Where you say "we are working very hard on it" it seems you might actually work for the club? :)
04 Jun 2026 11:27:49
Thanks so much, Carra. Love the detailed info.
04 Jun 2026 11:27:55
Getting hard on it, LFC aint the only one getting hard on this one!
04 Jun 2026 11:29:17
Thanks, Carra... Hopefully we can get this one over the line.
04 Jun 2026 11:38:59
Cheers, Cara.

RD, I use We when referring to the club, as in 'We were in a mess at all levels of the club during last season.' I use it due to a feeling of belonging, 'we' are the club, the players, the fans.
04 Jun 2026 11:51:27
Thanks for the information, Cara.
Is PSG targeting Magnes Aquiluce?
Is Liverpool targeting Diomande?
Or are both Liverpool and PSG targeting Diomande and Magnes Aquiluce?
04 Jun 2026 11:52:46
I've just read his comments on how his dad supports PSG. His dad must support a few clubs, as he said a few months back that his dad supported us.
04 Jun 2026 11:55:51
Thanks for jumping in to give us all a bit more context, Carra.
It's very easy for lots on here to see something on Twitter (X) and instantly need to come on here for re-assurances!
04 Jun 2026 11:57:59
Nice one, Carra.
04 Jun 2026 12:18:29
Wish we'd of signed Semionyo, that would of put an end to all this filthy minded inuendo.
04 Jun 2026 12:24:35
If the mooted fee is correct (120mil) and he's playing us off against PSG, then we should look elsewhere. That amount of money is ridiculous for someone that has never kicked a ball in the Prem, and at that age.
We should be using the money to sign Anderson instead. I can't believe we're not all over that, as he's exactly the sort of player we need in that midfield.
04 Jun 2026 12:25:53
Calm down, Lofty, was in jest as in the smiley face.
Maybe he does work for the club, who knows? Certainly not you, that's for sure.
04 Jun 2026 12:58:50
RD, I've never tried to find out where our ITKs get their sources from, so not sure why you think I'm claiming I know anything, so the passive aggressive end to your reply is pretty much wasted text.
04 Jun 2026 13:09:03
Not really, as I said, no one knows.
04 Jun 2026 13:19:07
From my end. Rumours in Germany point to PSG, but people close to RBL say we are actively negotiating, not PSG. At this moment we are in the driving seat, but, as Carra said above, it's not an easy deal to make.
04 Jun 2026 13:20:07
To be fair, I was a PSG fan last weekend.
04 Jun 2026 13:23:28
I don't really like Diamonde. Reminds me of Gervinho.
04 Jun 2026 13:35:49
I've a feeling it'll be PSG in which case we'll have Akilouche. ?
04 Jun 2026 13:37:06
Thanks, Carra...
04 Jun 2026 13:37:44
Thanks, Carra & Thefields. This site is lucky to have your insider knowledge shared.

Cafu, does he remind you of Gervinho because he's from Ivory Coast and is a winger? Seems like a really lazy comparison.
With the ball he actually reminds me more of Daniel Sturridge in terms of how he moves the ball at pace whilst keeping his head up, but also how he shifts the ball to one side and hits it early with no back lift. Like Sturridge, he tends to beat players with chops and fast change of direction rather than fancy flicks or tricks. Another thing he has in common is how he tends to finish with a firm side foot rather than putting his laces through the ball like Gerrard/Szoboszlai mainly did, or bending a shot in like Salah/Suarez mainly did.
Diomande even scored a couple this season where he just hammered a loose ball into the roof of the net, which was another trademark of Sturridge's. I know that might be a strange comparison as Diomande is a winger and Sturridge was a striker, but in possession they just look very similar to me.
Without the ball, Diomande is more like Luis Diaz though, in that, as soon as the ball is lost, he's off hunting to win it back. He'll scrap for possession if he has to and he'll press like he has a 3rd lung.
The guy's a top talent. If it's between him or Barcola, I'd prefer Barcola, but only because Barcola is more battle hardened in the Champions League. Ideally, I want both!
04 Jun 2026 14:30:34
Cafu, based around your posts over the last 48 hours, is there anything the club are planning to do that you do like?
04 Jun 2026 16:16:53
It's Harry, lofty, he only comes here to criticise the club because he doesn't get the bites on the Man City board.
04 Jun 2026 16:51:31
Diomande over Barcola any day of the week for me, MK. Barcola gives me overhyped vibes that if he wasn't a PSG player, no one would be talking much about him.
04 Jun 2026 17:24:07
