Left field question.

Ed2, as you called the Slot option a while back, have you had any direct or indirect influence in him becoming of interest to Liverpool?

Pessimistic Dreamer

{Ed002's Note - I don't have any influence on him. I can tell you that Rafaela Pimenta has been in London talking to Liverpool about the details for Slot. Liverpool are negotiating compensation with Feyenoord but they are resisting making it easy. Probably not the time to suggest Hencko as a VvD replacement.}

1.) 24 Apr 2024 12:52:40
Will you reveal your true identity one day Ed002? Your info has proved to be spot on once again.

2.) 24 Apr 2024 14:36:21
Ed’s I read that slot likes to control of everything at feyernoord, as klopp does for us and Amorim does for sporting allegedly…. is this true? And if so would it be a negative to come to us when it seems he is wanted to be the coach/ manager only and all the transfer stuff is taken away from him. And is that the reason we stepped away from Amorin?
And which would you say is the better manager and fit for Liverpool? Both seem to ne decent managers in their respective leagues but it’s miles away from prem level.

{Ed002's Note - Dennis te Kloese is responsible for the transfer process at Feyenoord with input from Slot. It will be the same at Liverpool. I understand that there was no clear understanding between the club and Amorim's agent regarding the scope of his responsibilities and that Liverpool would need to be flexible – critically over the squad – another with an issue that targets are still Fallows, Hunter and Klopp derived and a whole new structure being put in place.

Arne Slot would always have been my choice.}

3.) 24 Apr 2024 16:04:36
Ed002 tapped up Slot
?.

4.) 24 Apr 2024 16:23:13
I tapped the slot once.

Got arrested.

5.) 24 Apr 2024 18:37:40
Is he going to Slot right in, or just a credit card swipe away from getting sacked when results go west?

13 Jul 2023 18:19:16
Ed, to try and stave off the impending demand for minute-by-minute updates, can I ask if the club are in active negotiations for any of the names you have previously mentioned, rather than retaining an interest? Or if there are any new names lurking behind the infamous smokescreen?

Pessimistic Dreamer

{Ed002's Note - It is as I have explained largely. Or as you say the smokescreen which has been up since the fanns found out about the arrival of Mbappe. However, Liverpool had representatives in Madrid this morning as I mentioned earlier. Schuurs is another who might be considered "active".}

1.) 13 Jul 2023 19:41:21
Took Mbappe as a done deal, really.

Thanks.

2.) 13 Jul 2023 19:46:53
Hi Ed002 - I know it’s noted below the Madrid representative and Marcos Llorente, was this specifically for him/ Atletico based player or could this be Valverde who’s also noted as a possible?

{Ed002's Note - No, they were Atletico.}

3.) 13 Jul 2023 20:22:51
Could the representatives in Madrid speak to Real too about Tchou or you are certain that only Valverde is causing interest?

{Ed002's Note - They were at Atletico today.}

4.) 13 Jul 2023 20:36:56
I love you Ed002. Following this site since 2007 and you're by far the best on the Internet. Hope you're not affected by the trolls and glifnards who frequent this site. No one and I repeat no one has mentioned reps in Madrid, except Ed002. Just remember that WD3 when u go off on your latest rant talking bulcrap.

{Ed002's Note - I love you as well.}

5.) 13 Jul 2023 20:52:20
Flip me like. Ed02 you have the patience of a saint. I don’t know how you can respond to some of this so calmly haha.

6.) 13 Jul 2023 21:16:45
??? Don’t worry KlippKlopp, it’s alright for you to have your idols.

7.) 13 Jul 2023 22:43:14
Fantastic info Ed. Aside from Llorente, any chance Hermoso or Gimenez could be of interest from Atletico.

{Ed002's Note - Not to Liverpool.}

8.) 13 Jul 2023 23:06:02
Apparently Saudi have bid £30m for our smokescreen ed002.

9.) 14 Jul 2023 05:48:26
What's a glifnard? Or do I have to RTFP?

10.) 14 Jul 2023 08:43:28
Delvecs
A glifnard is the new left sided centre back we've been linked to.
Currently plying his trade in the Barnstaple Sunday league, Albert Glifnard has been attracting scouts from all over Devon ?.

11.) 14 Jul 2023 02:20:13
Ed were the talks productive?

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know - thie information came from someone who was there from another club about a transfer.}

12.) 14 Jul 2023 07:33:02
Hi Ed. can you share about what price that Atletico asked for Llorente?

{Ed002's Note - We are not interested in discussing money.}

13.) 13 Jul 2023 23:58:00
Ed;s do you rate Llorente? Is he the real deal, and likely to settle? And if he does sign, would Lavia still join?

{Ed002's Note - He is a good versatile player and Liverpool have not made any offer to Southampton for Lavia.}

Odds on a Europa League showdown with Utd in Dublin next May?

Pessimistic Dreamer

1.) 04 Oct 2023 09:12:18
They won’t make it that far.

2.) 04 Oct 2023 09:12:58
Could you imagine PD??.

3.) 04 Oct 2023 09:18:09
United aren't going to be in the Europa.

4.) 04 Oct 2023 09:27:00
Utd haven't a hope, they won't even get into the europa league the way they are playing.

5.) 04 Oct 2023 11:00:48
Not sure they will even finish 3rd in this group, tbh.

6.) 04 Oct 2023 12:40:04
Liverpool will absolutely thrash Man Utd should they meet any cup tie this season. One type of team Liverpool have always destroyed is the talented-but-gutless type, though I’m not even sure this United have the talent part either. I genuinely can’t wait to meet them in the league this season.

10 Aug 2023 11:13:54
Ed001, you are quite clear, and convincing, about our apparent tactical set-up and why it is problematic. Have you any insight into why it is being pursued- perceived advantages vs risk- as it seems there is unilateral agreement from the armchair coaches but Klopp "can't see" the problems.

Pessimistic Dreamer

{Ed001's Note - because it gets Trent into midfield and overloads the centre, so creating a numerical advantage over the opposition.}

20 Nov 2022 21:17:52
Eds, any interest in that Valencia fella? Looks like he could have a career on Merseyside!

Pessimistic Dreamer

{Ed025's Note - he scores too many goals to be at everton PD, but he could replace bobby as they are both over the hill mate..

1.) 21 Nov 2022 05:09:28
Just curious Ed, what did you think of Valencia when he was at Everton? I couldn't remember much of him tbf but I think he did score a couple of goals and generally did quite well.

{Ed025's Note - he was very forgettable for me drac, ran around a lot but not a lot of quality mate..

2.) 21 Nov 2022 08:57:50
I thought the Everton scouting policy has been based on those two attributes for the past 20 years, Ed?

{Ed025's Note - you are so wrong darwin, this present lot dont even run that much mate..

3.) 21 Nov 2022 10:05:51
Valencia aside that Ecuadorian team has a very exciting young prospects, Ed i have a question is Brighton scouting system so advanced or just lucky to have found players like Caicedo and even that Belgium guy Trossard.

{Ed001's Note - they have a good set up, which is why Newcastle poached Ashworth from them.}

05 Oct 2021 09:06:50
Sorry, am I the only one who thinks Silva hurdled Milner's leg long before there was any contact?

Pessimistic Dreamer

{Ed025's Note - yes you are, the assault was obvious and he should have been either sent off or arrested..

1.) 05 Oct 2021 09:21:02
Ed025 that's a bit harsh on Silva, what's he done lately to upset you?

{Ed025's Note - like it KC..

2.) 05 Oct 2021 09:44:56
In all honesty Milner should have received a yellow card, making it his second, he's a very lucky boy.

3.) 05 Oct 2021 09:45:51
Ed01, I pointed out on another post that Milner was very poor and his lack of pace was highlighted. What I forgot to mention was he gives his all and never seems to complain when played out of position, a true professional. I think klopp should shoulder some of the blame as this was never going to be a easy game for Milner, having said that I don’t know who else I’d of played. Gomez is a great CB but his positional sense at RB is lacking at times and he makes awkward mistakes. Is Neco not deemed good enough?

4.) 05 Oct 2021 10:26:15
There's history between Milner and Silva and that was why Milner assaulted him.
Milner was alleged to have said "I owe Silva" just before the 'assault'.

5.) 05 Oct 2021 10:16:45
Neco has only just recovered from an injury and dropping him straight back in it against City would've been setting up the kid to have his confidence destroyed. If he'd played that game, done a bit better than Milner, but still made a couple of mistakes and left Foden too much space a few times, people would be screaming on social media about how terrible he is and calling for an immediate public flogging in front of the Kop. If he'd been fit since the start of the season and played in the League Cup and against Brentford, then yeah, he should've been picked ahead of Milner. But as it it, I think Klopp made the right call.

People were trashing him over the summer and saying he'd never be good enough cos he didn't play well for Wales, when his last few performances for us were actually okay, imo. I don't care if he scores 50 own goals for Wales, I care how he plays for Liverpool.

6.) 05 Oct 2021 10:30:41
Meant Porto instead of Brentford in that post. Sry.

7.) 05 Oct 2021 10:54:42
Silva is such a loathsome character it’s impossible not to want to cause some harm to him. Maybe that was in the ref’s thinking.

8.) 05 Oct 2021 11:53:34
I am stunned that no one is talking about how Silva showed no regard for Milner's knee then way he clattered into him. no respect for the old campaigner
#sarcasm.

9.) 05 Oct 2021 12:32:49
The fans got to Silva on Sunday and that's why he was moaning to the ref. It doesn't just happen at Anfield either.
Every crowd has a Silva whining.

10.) 06 Oct 2021 07:36:36
Rigsby hats off mate. I love a pun and that one was a cracker.

11.) 06 Oct 2021 16:12:00
Didn't ED01 say that the challenge on Silva was not even a foul cos the ref already blew for the trip on Silva by Hendo? If that is the case then, why is Milner a lucky boy? Also, why would he be carded for what the ref did not deem was a foul and prolly deemed it to be incidental contact? Just asking.

Anybody else having a nightmare registering for tickets? I get as far as seeing fixtures but then get messages that the site is under maintenance, which is possible but unlikely when today is a registration window.

Pessimistic Dreamer

1.) 09 Aug 2021 12:04:08
I did not know it was today to register I did it before for for ballot but had no luck in the first 3 games. I normally get an email but never got one. Had a luck mine is saying the same think how they have changed it has made it worse to be truthful.

2.) 09 Aug 2021 12:12:45
It’s a nightmare this new change. Did you see the queues last night for the stadium, Delaying kick off. It’s not good, I’ve got a feeling lots of regular fans will be screwed over for tickets.

We already know that Barça made an approach previously.

It would be a surprise if he went there but not a massive one.

Obstruction also seems to be more and more prevalent but now never deemed illegal- "shepherding" the ball out of play whilst doing everything to stop the opponent getting near it. Infuriating!

Thanks, JK. Just saved me a few hundred quid as I was going to bring my boys over to the WHU game in a fortnight.

Back to the drawing board for Christmas presents.
