New allegations of Coote booking a player, which allegedly was for a bet he and his friend made / discussed
It's really no surprise. whilst players have been banned for such offenses, may he be shown the same fate.
1.) 27 Nov 2024 08:25:29
It certainly sheds some light on the odegaard basketball decision that had everyone baffled as well.
2.) 27 Nov 2024 09:28:17
Next up, VAR refs who have been taking oil money bungs.
3.) 27 Nov 2024 13:21:47
Wasn't it another investigation by the S*n? we know what they are like with facts and if it was them I'll reserve judgement for now.
If he has done it then his career is done, probably is already. But on this one, I am not jumping on until facts are clearer.
Admittedly it doesn't look great, but for all we know it could be a joke between friends. Although, if it was, I'd question if they were a friend when they have sold you down the river for some cash.
4.) 27 Nov 2024 13:31:46
He is under investigation for some text messages he sent before a game in 2019 aswell i read.
5.) 27 Nov 2024 16:24:39
It sure feels like Coote has tons of baggage, crossed someone who can show evidence of that baggage, and is really putting it to him now. Wonder if it's an angry bookie or something of the sort. Latest allegations are extremely serious, and he may not only lose his job but could end up in prison.
6.) 27 Nov 2024 20:49:49
He’ll get away with it imo. Still awaiting for his snivelling apology and reeducation and he’ll be back.
7.) 27 Nov 2024 22:05:01
He won't get away with that if it's true.
It's weird the way stuff keeps coming out about him.
Has a good friend turned on him or what.
8.) 27 Nov 2024 22:48:36
Mans a wrongun.
9.) 28 Nov 2024 02:21:02
He can’t get away with it. He can never ref in England again he will always be questioned for every decision he makes.
The essential part of his job is impartiality and he’s shown he’s not impartial. Even if he hasn’t let his feelings sway his decisions it will always be perceived that way.
He simply has to go.
10.) 28 Nov 2024 04:22:09
I find it strange it's gone so quiet. What's taking so long? this so called investigation now has been going on how long? a few weeks or so? are they hoping people forget as time goes on or what? it makes no sense that no action has been taken.
If he had anything about him he'd hold his hands up and admit what he's done is plain and utter wrong but instead he's cowering like a tart.
11.) 28 Nov 2024 07:07:34
Sounds like there is a fair bit to investigate @Salah. I don’t mind them raking their time if there is a lot of evidence to get through.
12.) 28 Nov 2024 11:13:44
When you look at everything that goes on, with referees being paid a kings ransom by owners of certain clubs to “referee” in the league of the country that they’re deputy prime minister of, or off partying with brasses in the far east (where big money criminal betting syndicates operate) on a paid jolly, you have to question whether PGMOL is fit for purpose as they can’t exactly say their referees are free from a perception of corruption at this moment in time because of the nature of the allegations, and like it or not, mud sticks.
The whole thing needs tearing apart and the referees with question marks on them need to be withdrawn from premier league action permanently. So that’s Oliver, Coote, Atkinson, Marriner, Friend, any of the other refs who took money in the UAE, as they’re tainted by their actions. Referee’s need to be held to a high standard if behaviour on and off the pitch, it’s the nature of the job.
13.) 28 Nov 2024 11:27:48
I agree WDW they should take their time to decide how far the action needs to go.
However, they should’ve made him step down from his position as soon as he admitted that the first video of him criticising Liverpool and Klopp was real.
Whatever else they find on him (and it looks like it could be a lot) doesn’t change the fact that he simply can’t referee in England ever again after criticising a team, manager and set of supporters.
His credibility has gone.
14.) 29 Nov 2024 06:22:31
Nothing like a good witch hunt. Tongue in cheek.
15.) 30 Nov 2024 12:33:25
I worry that perhaps some Serious Organised Crime Group has dumped its portfolio of leverage material to the media, not only as punishment for him no longer complying with their directives but as a warning to other refs they hold leverage over. It’s a dark world that we live in especially where big money can be made / laundered.

@Ed002
I think we need a Joyce Appreciation Page please.
Clearly he is the all-knowing power that gives LFC the right to exist ?.
{Ed002's Note - Have you signed up for the Ed002 Appreciation Society at: tinyurl.com/c6j7t2m
1.) 14 Aug 2024 16:00:10
If I did Facebook I’d sign up to the Ed002 one.
2.) 14 Aug 2024 16:07:48
Where do we donate the Gin?
3.) 14 Aug 2024 16:15:04
Don't do Facebook Ed002 ( which I assume is the link that you shared as per VV response)
But if I was on FB, I'd definitely give you a follow Ed. then continuously make reference to whatbthe great Joyce says ?.
4.) 14 Aug 2024 17:44:23
Jeez is that thing still going, now I feel old.
5.) 14 Aug 2024 18:20:41
At least MySpace and Friends Reunited seem to have died a death, Wassa!
16 Dec 2023 21:25:36
Thoughts and prayers with Luton's captain tonight.
May you come back stronger Lockyer.
YNWA.
16 Dec 2023 21:23:45
Quick conspiracy theory question.
Newcastle injury problems have been well documented lately. and given that they have played so many games over a short period of time, is anyone really surprised that Fulham had a player sent off so early in their game today?
This is a Fulham side that is scoring for fun in their last 2 games.
I hate that these conspiracy theories are even being mentioned, but where there's smoke there is fire.
1.) 16 Dec 2023 23:11:10
Probably got sent off for nearly taking the Newcastle players head off to be fair!
2.) 17 Dec 2023 01:03:13
There is no conspiracy theory unless of course someone has paid Jimenez to jump head height and smash into the oppo player with his hip.
3.) 17 Dec 2023 09:05:37
If you hate that conspiracy theories are being mentioned why bring up one of the least likely and most ludicrous of all?
4.) 17 Dec 2023 13:14:02
Yeah, it’s something you apparently believe but just want to add a layer of protection by claiming it’s a CT. If it is back it with all your will and hecklers be dammed! Ask ed 33
(15 year-or-so daily user of this and talk sense forgot my dammed log in info)
5.) 17 Dec 2023 19:07:22
Yeah hip bone on skull bone could be nasty and Jimenez should know better than anyone. If someone did that to you in the street I'm pretty sure it would be considered an assault.

Arteta better stop worrying about delaying our confirmation of Champions and better start worrying about the teams from 3rd to 6th possibly catching them ?.
1.) 23 Apr 2025 22:47:00
Wouldn’t be unlike them to come 4th in a two horse race.
23 Apr 2025 06:59:01
Just checking. will the LFC chat be open tonight during the Arsenal game?
{Ed025's Note - i wouldn,t think so mate..
1.) 23 Apr 2025 09:37:18
Cheers Ed25.
Would've been nice to chat to everyone after Palace score a 97th minute winner ?.
{Ed025's Note - i hope Arsenal win to be honest JLC, it would be fitting for the reds to clinch it on home turf where the celebrations can begin mate..
2.) 23 Apr 2025 11:41:38
I'm with you there, Ed. I've hopefully got a ticket for Sunday and I've waited a long while for the moment, if I'm lucky enough to be there. and we win.
{Ed025's Note - it should be a great afternoon Rome, i have booked a seat in the pub with all my red mates and will be raising a glass to them when they smash Spurs 4-0 mate..
3.) 23 Apr 2025 11:49:20
Ed025 is spot on we need to win it ourselves and in front of our own fans.
{Ed025's Note - yeah its better that way Barry, the pubs will be rammed and the city buzzing mate..
4.) 23 Apr 2025 11:58:43
Hi Ed025

02 Mar 2025 16:30:00
Gordon will now miss the Caraboa Cup Final after being sent off against Brighton in the FA Cup?
1.) 02 Mar 2025 16:55:43
Isak out with injury aswell i read.
2.) 02 Mar 2025 19:03:31
They would be two huge losses for the Geordies but Isak may be fit.
I think we beat Newcastle on the big day no matter what team they play.
3.) 02 Mar 2025 19:31:28
We should have the win in a pretty solid display. 3-0 should be the benchmark score to chase.
4.) 02 Mar 2025 20:21:48
Whys that walter? Why do we need to chase a 3 nil score? Does it matter what score if we win? Cup final against a good team who will fight tooth and nail to give their fans a trophy to celebrate after decades of winning nothing and fans who will be willing them on all the way. I'm not arsed if we win 3 nil or 1 nil or on pens, they won't make it easy and if we don't win it won't be through lack of trying so who gives a s**t how we win if we do. 3 nil win as a benchmark score to chase is such a weird thing to say.
5.) 02 Mar 2025 20:26:03
That’s just so he can be negative even if we win Kopite.
We’ll have ‘I can’t believe we only won 1-0’. Quite sad really.
6.) 02 Mar 2025 20:38:25
That’s a daft comment negative. A win is a win in a final, ask Madrid.
7.) 02 Mar 2025 20:54:48
I would take a scrappy 1-0 deflected goal as long as we win!
8.) 02 Mar 2025 22:09:16
I suspect that too Robboslostlegs. It's a weird thing to say about the team you supposedly support winning a trophy.
9.) 02 Mar 2025 22:47:05
If both those guys don't play, it's going to be really hard for them esp. if we show up on the day.
25 Feb 2025 11:08:09
Anyone seen the clip doing the rounds of Szobo lying down after the City game due to exhaustion
That boy is becoming immense for us
Hopefully he fully recovers for tomorrow.
1.) 25 Feb 2025 11:34:33
Hopefully it will put an end to the folks on here saying he's overrated, that they don't understand what he does, because on top of all the off the ball work he does he is producing numbers on the offensive end too, almost had another assist last night and another goal and assist against villa too.
2.) 25 Feb 2025 11:41:19
Whisper it, but I think 10 years after he left we've finally replaced Steven Gerrard adequately. There's a clip of Jamie O'Hara talking about when he played against Gerrard and how it was impossible because he was so much faster/ fitter/ stronger than everyone else. Szoboszlai has that same immense power in the engine room. Gerrard at about 25 years old kicked on to be world class and started scoring 10+ goals every season on top of dominating physically, so let's see if Szobo goes to the next level in the next 12-18 months too by adding more goals to his game.
3.) 25 Feb 2025 12:57:43
With you on Szobo, I love watching him play and the only thing that sometimes frustrates me is that he gets into some great positions when pulling the trigger would be the better option.
What a canon that guy has!
4.) 25 Feb 2025 13:05:29
MKS, Szobo talent and potential was never a debate since he was at RB Salzburg. He was a cut above the rest while he was there and his RBL move only upped it. him coming to LFC was a real coup and many of us knew it at the time.
Slot is now unlocking his talent by playing to his strengths and hopefully if he gets anywhere near the level SG reached, he will have a very good to great career, IMO.
5.) 25 Feb 2025 13:23:24
There is a hell of a lot of similarities MK. Rangy, powerful, and fast with an engine fit for a truck.
Let's hope he kicks onto that level.
6.) 25 Feb 2025 13:50:46
Difference is dom is tactically smarter and willing to play different roles all over the pitch depending on what the team requires given the game state. Gerrard was probably twice the player dom is in terms of ability (though that's debatable given dom is always following instructions to the letter) but dom affects the game positively even if he isn't having a good game on the ball, he makes us a more difficult team to play against just by being on the pitch.
I'm not sure I've seen a midfielder who can do it all like he can, who is everywhere on the pitch when you need him to be in recent years, maybe valverde, who has the bonus of being able to play anywhere on the pitch, but dom is probably even better than him on the ball and in attacking situations.
7.) 25 Feb 2025 15:28:04
I said he is overrated and I stand by it.
If you're comparing him to Gerrard then you are overrating him. He might get to Gerrard's levels but he's way off yet.
He's more like Firmino, for me; with more athleticism but less guile.
I don't get the lying down either.
It's like goalkeepers' celebrating a save or strikers' pounding the ground after missing a chance.
Get up and get on with it!
8.) 25 Feb 2025 16:12:30
I like Szobo. But Steven Gerrard was better than him when he was about 4 years old ?.
9.) 25 Feb 2025 16:22:26
You must be one fit individual rigsby if you don’t get why szoboslai was laying down . The lad put a massive shift in I think your being really harsh their and you’re not he’s not at Gerard’s level yet but let’s hope he does hit them levels
Don’t really see the firmino likeness either I think they’re totally different but it is an opinion sport I suppose .
But I totally don’t agree that szoboslai should have just got on with it b and not lay down the lad was spent and he needed to catch his breath .
10.) 25 Feb 2025 17:51:10
Catch his breath, Dhfc?
I'm sure he could still breathe even if he did put in a good shift. I might be being harsh but it's not for me. Sit down, squat, stand still with hands on hips etc but there was no need for lying down.
If he gets half of Gerrard's stats for appearances and goals I'll come on here and say I underrated him but, for now, some of you are getting carried away.
He's been playing further forward recently and that is why I said he was more Firmino. Btw, I said that he should be doing that last season.
He's almost been playing the false nine, like Firmino did, and they are similar in that they are not a real nine, wide players or midfielders, imo.
I don't get the power thing, either.
Szob is fairly lightweight and so was Firmino.
I will say that Szob playing in a more advanced role has allowed Jones to come in and stiffen up the midfield though.
I reckon things will change again next season when Slot has the chance to bring in some of his players.
23 Feb 2025 05:49:56
To continue with the he theme of a couple if the threads below, I decided to publish my permutations for the rest of the season. just to give a bit of perspective as to the situation that we find ourselves in.
Arsenal
53 points
6 home and 6 away games remaining
Potential of 36 points available, taking their possible max tally to 89
LFC
61 points
7 home and 5 away games remaining
Potential of 36 points available, taking our possible max tally to 97
For my permutations, I'm going with a draw between us and Arsenal, and they win all their other games.
That leaves them with a grand total of 87
For us to reach 88, given that we draw with Arsenal, and win our other 6 home games, that takes us to 80 points.
That leaves us with needing 3 wins from our 5 away games.
Not a lot of room to play with. but definately achievable.
Cmon LFC. we can do this ?.
1.) 23 Feb 2025 08:06:42
I can see us winning the league with less than 85 points JLC mate.
2.) 23 Feb 2025 08:20:15
What is most important is beating city today and then following that up by beating Newcastle. Doing that may well take us significantly closer to the title.
Arsenal, given their current situation, have a very difficult game against Forest away midweek (who depending on their result today against Newcastle could possibly go level on points with Arsenal) .
If Arsenal lose again there and we win both that’s 14 clear (although Arsenal would still have a game in hand) . Their next game is away at United sandwiched between their last 16 games against PSV. That picture looks a whole lot different.
Lots of ifs and butts but given Arsenal’s injury issues and a few tough games coming up, all we can do is take care of our business, keep the pressure on and see what happens.
3.) 23 Feb 2025 09:15:34
If we beat Arsenal at home 83 points will be enough to win this league, like I called early Arsenal will likely chalk up 81 points on current form.
Let's see how we fair tomorrow against City and let's see what the Gooners do against Forest. If I look at it half glass full we get 3 and Arsenal get 1 which will give us a 10 point lead with 11 to go.
4.) 23 Feb 2025 09:23:01
There’s only one match that matters City later today - everything else is guessing and wishing which has no real relevance.
5.) 23 Feb 2025 09:36:59
Arsenal are not beating Forest away or Man U away.
6.) 23 Feb 2025 09:54:00
Sorry but this is nonsense, Arsenal are not finishing on 87 points or winning 11 out of 12 games. West Ham was one of their easier games remaning.
7.) 23 Feb 2025 10:00:22
Kloppers, provided we win our corresponding games then, we will win both Matchdays.
8.) 23 Feb 2025 10:01:38
@JLC, my dream of Arsenal giving us a Guard of Honor at Anfield is still alive and well.
9.) 23 Feb 2025 10:20:36
That doesn’t mean they won’t Kurt but I agree it’s highly unlikely.
The Premier league is unpredictable as yesterday showed. All we can do is concentrate on the next game and we’ll bring home number 20.
10.) 23 Feb 2025 10:50:11
Well folks Mr Paddy Power seems to think the title is in the bag as he is paying out already on all bets for Liverpool to win the league.
11.) 23 Feb 2025 13:00:59
Now that would be special Oli.
18 Feb 2025 06:04:32
We have been. and currently are. monitoring the player!
15 Feb 2025 05:29:48
Any LFC story with he word "monitored" scares me nowadays.
22 Jan 2025 17:17:24
@MK. so glad you didn't misspell hate without the "h" ?
@OP. well done. Now that's a proper rumor.
Sisters Boyfriends Uncles Nieces Granny's Girlfriends Stepson heard. Excellent.
20 Jan 2025 04:40:48
Source Mcgov?
18 Jan 2025 06:13:07
Agree with Ron.
We are sitting in a position where we can be champions of England, and even have a great run in the CL.
If we're serious about this, then go get Cunha, or at least Isak.
These are PL proven players who will take us to the next level
But we find ourselves dilly dallying around people like Osimhen. who surely those in charge are aware of his wage demands, so WHY WASTE OUR TIME WITH HIM?
Ideally, imo, either a CB or DM alongside Grav, and then Cunha/ Isak in this window and I think that will get us over the line wrt winning the league.
27 Apr 2025 15:19:36
Happy Birthday KC.
23 Apr 2025 09:37:18
Cheers Ed25.
Would've been nice to chat to everyone after Palace score a 97th minute winner ?.
{Ed025's Note - i hope Arsenal win to be honest JLC, it would be fitting for the reds to clinch it on home turf where the celebrations can begin mate..
09 Mar 2025 14:06:52
Has anyone seen the goal that Valencia conceded yesterday?
Is that's what we have to look forward to, then HELL NO!
04 Mar 2025 18:56:15
So, here is me being petty.
Slot calls (or they think he said it) the assistant a "fu@#en disgrace" and gets a red card and 2 game ban
Arteta, after the Newcastle game last season, repeatedly uses the word "disgrace" in his post match conferences, when referring to the officiatingnin the game, and gets absolutely no punishment
What exactly is the difference between the 2 situations.
04 Mar 2025 06:04:54
Why all the fuss over this high foot challenge from the keeper?
Macca was on the end of a similar Kung fu kick against City is the not to distant past, and that wasn't a free kick either
Joking aside. how Oliver missed that is just pure CRAZY.
We just know that no action will be taken against him.
I just pray that Mateta makes a full recovery, physically and emotionally.
