Looks like Tottenham have got Robbo.

Wish him the best.

What has he done to end his days at Spurs!

I likewise wish him well, and safely predict we will never boo him at Anfield!

Just wanted to say fair play to Palace and fair play to Glasner too.

I know his brand of football isn’t popular on here and apparently he’s a bit of a p****. But he’s done a great job there.

Winning the FA Cup and then the Europa Conference League all whilst losing Olise, Eze and Guehi along the way is some doing.

I’m not for one second advocating for him as manager. Just recognising a job well done.

Ed001 with not much movement in the January transfer window apart from the few young players we signed for peanuts and Jeremy Jacquet who if am not mistaken does not fall in this window.
Am I just wishful thinking that Slot and his backroom staff might get there P45 sorted so it comes in the next set of financial records.

Have things not changed from next season so would it work out better.

If he's not sacked by end of next week, he is staying, imo, and we will have to get behind him.

2

27 May 2026 22:44:27
Keegan Purim, when Rodgers wasn't sacked, I didn't get behind him and still wanted him sacked, and the same goes for Slot.

7

27 May 2026 22:39:28
I'll get behind him Keegan, so I can push him out the door

5

27 May 2026 23:06:41
Haha, good one, Chewy. I know we all want him out, and fingers crossed he's gone.

27 May 2026 23:58:32
Nah, not having that. Will turn out to be the worst decision in many many years. I'm losing more and more trust in the club's ownership/leadership by the day. Never felt as disconnected with the club as I currently am. Gonna pray for a miracle for a couple more days and then it's probably better to step away for some time. Which would break my heart.

Geez, Wharton really jogs around the pitch. He is horrible defensively. The fact I think this is an absolute guarantee he is coming. Slot type player all out.

Hopefully the Sangare rumour is true.

4

27 May 2026 22:33:09
Sangare won't be signing. The only good thing about a failed transfer window is it will accelerate Slot getting the boot.

0

27 May 2026 23:34:12
Don't agree at all. Think Wharton is superb. If rumours are true and we sign a more combative midfielder beside him, that progression he has from midfield is what we have missed since Trent left. He has a wand of a left peg.

Ken.

Gordon to Barca shows the great fall in quality in World football. Yes, there's far better attackers/wingers but actually name a few and available?
Gakpo? 😂
Penniless Barca spent 70 million on a very limited footballer. Bizarre, and Bayern in for him as well shows the lack of top players in his position.

5

27 May 2026 22:06:40
I can't believe it. Barca's transfer policy has not been great over the past decade, so making a bizarre decision does track. The price is huge and his style doesn't match. Good luck to the lad.

2

27 May 2026 22:15:28
Can we just stay quiet and let Barca pay over the odds for Gordon and we take Barcola who is a far better player. 🤫🤫🤫

Just looked and it will cost us £10-£15m to sack Slot and his staff. Now as I said earlier today our yearly finances for PSR end 31st May 2026. So there will not be any movement until next week if we have decided to move him on.

Sacking managers is part of PSR. The new financial rules will kick in called Squad Cost Ratio. I might be completely wrong but any announcements would be best waited until June onwards.

27 May 2026 20:33:52
😂 This is the post-season version of "if he loses one more game he's sacked"

He's in Ibiza, chewing the ear off the guy selling lollypops in Amnesia toilets, safest manager on the planet.

12

27 May 2026 20:41:16
I'm so Slot out, but the reality seems to be kicking in that he's told the higher ups he was left short and could not implement what he wanted due to Hughes and Edwards. I'm so sad and unhappy about it, as I've seen absolutely zero from him in terms of changing things to get better from players or improving players to suggest anything other than he's just going to keep his job, drag us down even further, and be sacked before Xmas.

He's just not the guy. It's there, in plain sight. We have regressed so much, it's scary. I fear the worst, and I'm very positive, but I fear for us. I really do.

7

27 May 2026 20:48:14
Slot has a bag full of excuses, they are just excuses tho for being crap tho. 😂

8

27 May 2026 20:58:00
He needs a bag of something else to liven up, the slug.

2

27 May 2026 21:22:55
Fulfilling the Slot Cutting Requirement to help Squad Cost Ratio and generating a little loss might help to kickstart the new season.

27 May 2026 22:01:15
Whatever happens, do we have to create a narrative of what happened in rooms we have no access to?

Like, if Slot sticks around, is it that important to make up the idea that he fed a bunch of excuses to FSG and that FSG are dumb enough to buy them?

1

27 May 2026 22:09:18
The answer to that question is Yes, Faith. 😉😂

2

27 May 2026 22:18:49
Can't say I know much about business,
but when you've got a commodity worth @ 4 bn
It's worth that because you're league winners, semi-finalists, finalists - successful.
I get the SCR business, but what's 15m when your 4bn commodity is sinking, and fast?

3

27 May 2026 22:47:20
£10-£15m to sack Slot and his staff? Best use of money I can think of.

3

27 May 2026 23:37:18
Thefields, making up narratives seems like a waste of energy to me. :)

27 May 2026 19:30:25
Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for around £70m with add ons! Wow that is bookers!

2

27 May 2026 19:53:05
Wouldn't have been a bad option being prem proven, a Scouser and a strong presser, but would have to be the right price. For me Barca have overpaid, time will tell on that front! Not convinced LW is our priority with Gakpo and Rio taking that spot.

Badly need a RW and a flexible player who can play centrally or across the front 3. Dream scenario is Diomande and Barcola, but I don't see that happening. For me RW, RB and CM are an absolute necessity!

4

27 May 2026 20:02:49
I'd have been livid had we signed Gordon for £70m 😂 good luck to him though. It's a class move for him. Newcastle to Barcelona is some switch!

100% not what we need at Liverpool.

4

27 May 2026 20:09:25
I'd take him over Gakpo, but nobody wants Gakpo.

6

27 May 2026 20:48:20
£60m fixed fee with add ons is probably not far away from market value, to be fair. He gets bad press, but in today's market, where players are going for £100+ million, it's not exactly a bad deal for Barca.

For context we paid £55m plus add ons for Jeremy Jacquet who was playing Ligue 1 and had only played 30+ senior games. Good luck to the lad.

27 May 2026 20:58:44
This transfer just shows how much poorer the other leagues are.

1

27 May 2026 21:03:34
Agree, Dow-ney. For £60m I'd have been happy with him. Hopefully we've others lined up.

3

27 May 2026 21:16:42
We got asked for a lot more when we tried to sign him.

2

27 May 2026 23:54:30
It's the Spanish league. They bought him for his theatrics and ability to con the referee.

Earlier I spotted Slot on the beach at Costa la liga doing keepy ups with a satsuma. He got to four, slipped on his arse and sacked a jellyfish.

A little while later I met him at bar entertainment. He reeked of calamine lotion, was a bit fidgety but appeared up for a chat.

A slow ponderous mind numbing conversation ensued, him being seriously defenceless manoeuvring sideways as my every query got a bums rush.

His last comment before leaving (hopefully 🙏) was that he’s become totally fed up with the negativity and constant questioning (especially on Wednesday’s by his own hired help), so could I recommend him a discreet window cleaner.

3

27 May 2026 20:23:26
"Doing keepy ups with a satsuma". 🤣

27 May 2026 19:20:49
If we were to sack one of the three this summer, between Slot/Hughes/Edwards.

Who would yall choose and why?

1

27 May 2026 19:31:19
Slot, because ultimately he carries the can for how we've performed this season.

7

27 May 2026 19:38:55
Slot.

6

27 May 2026 19:55:55
Slot 100%.

4

27 May 2026 20:00:06
I'd kiss Slot, Marry Edwards, and Avoid Hughes.

Wait, what was the question again?

6

27 May 2026 20:25:26
Edwards, because he's the reason top managers won't come. And if Slot was replaced now, the new manager could save Edwards from the chopping block, furthering this whole situation.

2

27 May 2026 20:36:39
Slot 100%.

3

27 May 2026 20:28:26
Slot 100% Hughes gave him so e great toys to play with and he destroyed them.
For me Hughes and Edwards biggest sin was not sacking Slot in November. 1-4 vs Psv is a sacking offence on its own let alone the run we was on and the performances and style of play.
But they can see him taking 2/3 days off a week no top manger does that they do the total opposite and work to much because they over think everything because they are perfectionist. Slot is a slacker a low down dirty lying little rat 🐀. And I don't care what people say about me on here for calling him that the lies and treats our fans with a total disregard and disrespect.

He has no pride whatsoever he gives players time off before we play United we lose poorly and then he just flys off like nothing matters returns and sits the laughing in press conferences. Anyone sticking up for him with the way he has treated the club and fans are truly delusional. Because the worst thing for me is Slot is not a bad manager he is not tactically unaware he has proven that he just does not care what for me is unforgivable.
And he truly does not deserve to be the manager of a club with such loyal fans because he deserves no loyalty or respect whatsoever.

4

27 May 2026 21:19:06
Only one?

Slot all day.

Fitness, form and mentality are all deteriorating rapidly in the squad.
Forget tactical intransigence, the players' values are tanking too.

A new manager could get a competitive tune out of this squad, Edwards or Hughes leaving won't change the fitness, form and mentality of the players.

3

27 May 2026 21:25:02
Very nice, that, grino.
Slot not deserving any respect whatsoever.
I'm just glad you don't speak for all fans.
Or people.
That's it, don't treat the 'vile rat' as you want to be treated yourself.

0

27 May 2026 21:42:44
Rigsby, tell me why he deserves respect for what he has done since March last year.
Don't give me he won us the league, it was given to us because the league was so poor, just like it had been given to Arsenal this season.

We had no challenge, if so we would have crumbled last season as our fitness levels dropped as the season went on.
The world is a very strange place now that the truth is so hurtful to so many people.

2

27 May 2026 22:02:55
This is easy - Edwards.

He was brought in to pursue multi-club model. Now that we've apparently parked that, his role needs to be clearly defined so there is no overlap and confusion in the management team.

So I would move Edwards on to all that space to breathe, and for others to get on and do their jobs.
