Ed001 few questions for you are we seriously looking at Benjamin Sesko. I think he has the potential to be our next real star striker.
Do you think we could get both Nunez and Jota out this summer and if so would you think if we do at the £30m price Liam Delap would be a good signing to come in even if it's to just rotate with a first choice and maybe sell on in the future like we did with Solanke.
Last Ed with the frimpong deal looking very much likely now I can't see him on wages anywhere near what we offered Trent so with the payments spread over the 4 years even though we lost Trent for nothing I would guess the money spent over the next 4 years will be roughly the same maybe even slightly less depending on his wages. So do you think that's been smart business from the club. Thanks Ed and good morning.

grino75

{Ed001's Note - yes.
Yes.
No.
No.}

1.) 16 May 2025 10:42:03
Please not Delap …. He’s not Liverpool standard.
Man Utd yeh .

2.) 16 May 2025 11:59:53
Delap is a lummox.

Name (bar Toshack and for a while Heskey) a time Liverpool have thrived with a big lump up front:

Suarez, Owen, Fowler, Rush, Sturridge etc. YES

NOT

Darwin, Ballotelli, Lambert, Carroll etc. NO.

3.) 16 May 2025 12:14:13
Ed do you rate sesko? He does seem to get better each year . Personally i think etikite is more rounded as a striker in terms of touch, awareness on the pitch of who is around him and finishing, sesko is better in the air which is something we need but i get a feeling etikite has the most potential.

{Ed001's Note - Sesko is very inconsistent. He does have a hammer shot though.}

4.) 16 May 2025 12:46:29
I can see Delap at one of the promoted sides, Wolves or Brighton if they lose their main striker or possibly Man utd if they shift Zirkzee. An underwhelming signing for any of the bigger clubs.

5.) 16 May 2025 12:50:46
Meijer.

6.) 16 May 2025 14:30:48
What about Jonathan David on a free? As a secondary striker instead of Delap.

7.) 16 May 2025 15:34:56
Surely Jayden Danns should also get a bite of the Cherry! I concur Delap is proven in the Premier and further advanced ability and playing wise than Jayden who is a rookie compared to Delaps proven premier experience, both know where the Onion Bag is though.

If Delap (Supersub reference to Origi) were to sign hopefully! then the best for Jayden would be a "season" long loan to an up and coming Club his Sunderland loan was only after circa Xmas, Wrexham springs to mind just promoted to the EFL Championship, or perhaps United! (Leeds on loan) have deliberately put United as Man fans sing there is only one United and always THINK there is only one United, but they won't sing 20 times anymore!

Though Wrexham would be more preferable as one of the many aims of a Loan is to primarily prove ye fitness for playing a full season programme wherever that may be, as well as in Danns case the goals he scores. Danns next stage loan wise is to be a consistent playing regular goal scorer in a good league.

Danns is currently on loan to Sunderland and injured and did not take part in the Two Championship Semi-Final Play Offs for the Premiership versus Coventry, hopefully he can make the Wembley Play Off Final against "UNITED" (Sheffield) for the last place for the Premiership next season, as if Sunderland are promoted to the premier hopefully he can stay on loan there also is an option likely.

And if United (Sheff) wins there will be five UNITEDS in the prem next season: Newcastle United, West Ham United, Leeds United, Sheffield United and "man WHO"!

14 May 2025 16:21:45
Ed001 you know anything about Florian Wirtz meeting Liverpool officials seem loads of reports on the internet about it. Some saying that he and his family where with Liverpool officials for over an hour.

grino75

{Ed001's Note - no mate but they are likely to meet with a few clubs over the next few weeks.}

1.) 14 May 2025 17:59:19
Reckon we have any chance Ed?

{Ed001's Note - no idea. I see no reason why the player would not be interested, but it will be a personal choice he is making.}

07 May 2025 20:28:55
Ed001 do we hold any interest in franco mastantuono seen a few reports and rave reviews about the young lad. Sounds like a good long term signing.

grino75

{Ed001's Note - yes but I think he has already agreed a move elsewhere.}

1.) 07 May 2025 21:29:52
Thought he was still undecided? Unless you’re thinking of the other player City bought.

{Ed001's Note - I didn't say City.}

2.) 07 May 2025 21:51:12
Is he off to Man U?

3.) 07 May 2025 22:00:41
Everyone’s favourite Madrid.

4.) 07 May 2025 22:37:33
He’s off to join Trent mate.

5.) 07 May 2025 22:32:05
What Ed? Noooooo! I hope you’re wrong. And I really don’t want to hear we’ve missed out on a gem we’ve been tracking to Chelsea or United again. Ugh.

6.) 07 May 2025 23:41:47
United is the team who are likely to sign him. Madrid had been scouting him and very interested but decided to back out.

30 Apr 2025 07:44:05
Ed001 seem a few reports of us going for Andrea Cambiaso what's yours thoughts on him he is a left that can play right if I am correct would you have him over Kerkez.

grino75

1.) 30 Apr 2025 12:01:19
Thought he’s nailed on for city.

27 Mar 2025 19:49:20
Ed001 Do we have any interest giorgio scalvini him and dean huijsen would be a great partnership for years to come if we could bring both in.

grino75

{Ed001's Note - everybody has been looking at him.}

1.) 28 Mar 2025 07:05:03
Do you think Huijsen can play on right side Ed? If we decided to sell Konate and VVD sign a new contract, will be really great if we can get Huijsen. And in long-term move to left side to replace VVD.

{Ed001's Note - he should be capable, but it might be difficult for him as I doubt he will have played there often at all, even at youth level. While he is both-footed, left-footers are so rare that anyone who favours that foot, or is both footed, tends to always play on the left side of defence. He does seem a smart lad though, so he might be able to adapt easily. But it is different for left peggers than righties due to them always playing one side, rather than sometimes having to play the other one due to a lack of a left footer.

In theory though, he should be fine there.}

2.) 28 Mar 2025 08:12:39
Hi ed, I'm a left footer. I'd be happy to step up for £200k a week and a signing on fee of a Freddo.

3.) 28 Mar 2025 08:19:34
I'm just thinking that when you said you don't think Konate will sign a new contract, Huijsen would be a perfect replacement. I think he is the kind of player like VVD and Alisson that you wouldn't want to pass up the opportunity to sign him when he is available.

And I think it will only happen if one of Konate or VVD leaving. I can't see him wanting to come as a backup to either one of Konate or VVD. Ideally having both of them plus Huijsen is perfect, but I don't think its going to work.

4.) 28 Mar 2025 08:30:16
Out of all the linked players I’m hoping this one happens more than others. He’s been very impressive in his first season in the prem. At 50 million he’s a steal in today’s market, has a very high ceiling and is still very young. He can also eventually be Van Dijk successor on the left hand side.

For me what you call a no brainier for many reasons including above points. If Doak isn’t wanted by us then this summer is the time to sell after the season he’s had. Bournemouth allegedly have some interest in Doak so use him as a make weight.

We need to start getting our ducks in a row in relation to both departures and incomings we certainly can’t afford a window like the last two we’ve had.
I feel the likes of Khelleher, Nunez, Jota, Tsimikas, Endo, Doak, Koumas are more than certainly gone this summer.

There’s two windows this summer so I’m hoping we have signed at least three by end of first window ending.

5.) 28 Mar 2025 09:11:36
We should offer the release clause + 20mil

Huijsen is worth it and for a guy who could be a mainstay of the Defense for 5+ years, the 70mi.

6.) 28 Mar 2025 11:09:20
Huisen and Scalvini to replace Gomez and Quansah? Yes please.

7.) 28 Mar 2025 11:44:47
We could offer that Faith, but if Madrid offer the buyout and he only wants to go there it’s a waste of time. We’d be better trying to make the package to join us as attractive as possible to the player. We need to convince him that we’re serious about building and maintaining a squad that can win titles year in year out the way Madrid do, which unfortunately we haven’t been able to do consistently.

8.) 28 Mar 2025 11:55:20
I'm right footed but pay me 200k a week and I'll be left footed in no time.

In all seriousness, it makes no sense for footballers not to be able to play with both feet. They're paid exorbitant amounts to be able to do just that, kick a ball. I think it was Nedved who trained his weaker foot to be just as good, if not better, than his better one and that's the kind of standard we should be demanding of from professional footballers.

9.) 28 Mar 2025 13:32:24
If Konate were to go and we bring Huijsen, why just move VVD to the right?

10.) 28 Mar 2025 13:48:28
In all seriousness ALL professional footballers can play with their weaker foot. Their weaker foot on its worst day is better than mine or your strong foot on its best day. But to have the ability to control, pass, dribble to the same unbelievably high standard on both feet is near on impossible and anyone who can is genetically ambidextrous. The Premier League is the top .01%, any drop off in quality and you are not at the level. Why did Benitez play Arbeloa left back against Messi in the Champions League knockouts? Because you naturally move, tackle, read space and depth better on one side than the other. Its science man! Go out and try to throw a stone with your weak hand and see how far it goes.

11.) 28 Mar 2025 17:42:17
Real madrid bound unfortunately.

12.) 28 Mar 2025 19:08:17
Huisjen is very young, no? As Quansah - and many other young cbs - have shown: one good season doesn’t guarantee true greatness. It’s such a tough job, mentally and physically, that it’s often hard to get a handle on who is great until they are 25-26.
Not sure Virgil had clubs pounding after him in his early years. When it comes to cbs, it’s the one position you need to pay big for when they are mature, and they know exactly what player they can be.

13.) 28 Mar 2025 19:52:19
To be fair Monstersouness, he had a really good spell on loan at Roma before he went to Bournemouth. I'm fact, he was impressive the few times he played for Juve too I believe.

He's a star in the making, but if Madrid are in for him, I reckon that's that. No guarantees they are though, full backs are their priority I would think.

Ed001 Really hope Robbo gets that move to Madrid last couple of season there has been a massive drop of from him and think the pace of Spain will see Robbo's form go back up as the way Madrid play will put less stress on him. Also to get his wages of the books will be a good move. Would think this would be perfect for us to get Hato as well as Kerkez Ed for him to cover left back and cb and give him a couple of seasons to get ready to be first choice cb. Get Owen Beck in the squad too Ed and let Quansah leave and think we would be better than last season depth wise.
What's your thoughts Ed.

grino75

{Ed001's Note - I think we need a right sided centre back then.}

1.) 15 Jun 2025 13:44:36
If robbo goes I'd love to see the first Madrid Derby.

2.) 15 Jun 2025 13:42:49
Ed001 you don’t think Gomez can do that job as cover for Konate? Or do you think he needs replacing too.

{Ed001's Note - too many injuries. I love Joey but he just can't be relied upon and I don't think Quamsah is good enough even if he stays.}

3.) 15 Jun 2025 14:46:21
I don't get the disrespect Quansah gets on here. He had a bad season no doubt but Slot basically crushed his confidence and never really built him back up.

I wouldn't be looking to move him on. He has pace, is still developing physically, can carry the ball forward. I think he will be a very accomplished CB when VVD gets to the end of this 2 year deal.

{Ed001's Note - he needs to learn how to do the basics of defending because he is not a good defender right now.}

4.) 15 Jun 2025 15:11:59
"If"Robbo goes try get Hato, let Quansah and Gomez move on and get a top option in for RCB. This would give us 2 options at RB,4 at CB and 2 at LB, and that's without adding Beck or Chambers to the squad. Lot of change though but then i get the impression with Slot and Hughes/ Edwards it will be quite ruthless from now on.

5.) 15 Jun 2025 15:25:56
Ed001 I have to agree with you on both points. Not sure how many games Joe played at right back last season Ed before his injury but I don’t think the full back position helps his injury situation Ed think the work rate on his body playing fullback a lot puts to much stress on his muscles. But as cb he never seems to let us down.

6.) 15 Jun 2025 15:27:31
Difficulty with a readymade top option for RCB is if Konate stays and they have WC aspirations.

Difficult to balance squad depth with the needs and desires of the players.

7.) 15 Jun 2025 15:31:17
Ed001 one more point to this we can see how much work the squad needs on it do you think the ruthlessness is coming from Slot or  Edward's and Hughes’s. I think that was definitely a weak point in Klopp that he stood by players too long.

{Ed001's Note - Slot. He is the one asking for these players.}

8.) 15 Jun 2025 15:44:31
Not sure Slot crushed Quansahs confidence. He got hooked in the first game because he was having a nightmare of a game. I call that good management. As for Slot not building his confidence back up again. Well that’s pure guess work, nobody was party to the conversations had over a season or during training sessions.

9.) 15 Jun 2025 19:15:01
I don’t get quansahs hype, slot hooked him in the first because he was crap and his attitude when he came off was off, as though he wasn’t the problem,
Think slot had his number then.

10.) 15 Jun 2025 19:31:46
Yes, Irish. And Quansah gave away at least three goals (vs. Man U, West Ham and in pre season) with no-look passes. Slot had to hook him in another two games because he was a liability.

He’s not ready. All the YNWAs saying “always defend a Red” are not helping him at all. He needs to grow defensively somewhere without the pressure. Even then, I’m not sure he’ll ever be the right fit for us.

10 Jun 2025 08:25:27
Ed001 if we only sold one of our forwards who would be your choice?
For me it would be Jota can never stay fit and has never been anywhere near good enough. Just the odd run of scoring goals deflecting away from all his other inadequacies like not being able to pass a 5 yard pass.

grino75

{Ed001's Note - Nunez or Jota, doesn't really matter, neither have done enough to deserve to stay.}

1.) 10 Jun 2025 09:07:40
The real issue with these two is going to be attracting a buyer. There’s talk circulating, but none of it seems credible. Realistically, if you’re a club in need of a striker, why would Nunez or Jota be on your shortlist? Neither has shown the kind of consistent form that would make a scout sit up and say, "That’s our guy. "

At this point, the most we can hope for is a Saudi bid for Nunez but even that feels optimistic. Surely they’re not that naive.

2.) 10 Jun 2025 09:09:35
Might be an unpopular opinion but the first one out the door for me would be Chiesa.

They are all on the roughly the same wage and despite their faults Darwin and Jota contributed far more than Chiesa did last season.

Despite Slot not trusting Darwin and Jota by starting Diaz 15 times at Centre Forward he trusted both more than he did Chiesa who started 3 games from a possible 54.

The benefit of selling Darwin, is Saudi are interested so we can hopefully receive a good fee for him.

The majority on here seem to want Jota gone because he is supposedly never fit but still managed 37 appearances.

Best case would be all 3 being replaced because realistically none of them had good seasons but personally i wouldn't be moving on Darwin or and Jota with the premise that Chiesa is their replacement.

3.) 10 Jun 2025 09:27:52
You do expect at least one of them to leave then Ed? Nunez makes more sense surely.

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

4.) 10 Jun 2025 09:28:57
I think Jota was unfortunate with injuries last season, two players fell on him in separate incidents which wasn’t his fault. Apart from that his passing is awful, and his team play poor, he does seem to have more composure than Nuñez in front of goal though… still not good enough….

5.) 10 Jun 2025 10:02:54
The best ability is availability. Jota out first,

6.) 10 Jun 2025 10:05:59
Jota was at one point considered our most clinical finisher and it was what led many to want him in the team. Unfortunately when he was fit last season he showed no composure or clinical tendencies in front of goal - he was on a par with Darwin. He consistently made the wrong decisions and would repeatedly hoof it high and wide. When you look at his injury record over several years you see that his injuries are not unfortunate, they are inevitable.

If only 1 of the pair leaves I don't think it has much of an impact which one it is in terms of ability. The difference therefore is the benefit of Darwins availability vs the fact that we would likely get more money for him.

I personally would happily see both moved on with the money used to fund 1 replacement. It's not ideal but if Diaz stays, he has shown that he can do a job in there as a second option and we have Danns and Koumas who are possibilities to be in and around the first team.

7.) 10 Jun 2025 10:23:28
Salah i kind of disagree a little bit there mate.

I know i give Darwin lots of stick on here but the truth is in the last 3 seasons in England he has 40 goals and 26 assists (74 goals and 30 assists if we count the last season in Portugal)

In the last 4 seasons in England Jota has 52 goals and 25 assists.

Man for man I'm not sure how many players in a top top tier (hence why i used England) league can compete with those numbers.

Both aren't great in build up play and both aren't arguably at the level of Liverpool to be a starter week in week out but not many clubs are actually at Liverpool's level.

A fit Jota and Darwin start for the majority of PL sides.

The main issue is their wages with both on 140k a week and then a significant transfer fee for Darwin (to recoup) and a fee for Jota.

Truth is if we had a Isak or WC striker then either or would be a very good understudy be it coming off the bench or starting games in rotation.

8.) 10 Jun 2025 10:28:59
Chiesa, Endo, Quansah and Elliot etc showed great availability last season and still played less minutes.

Availability isn't the best ability if Slot chooses not to use you.

9.) 10 Jun 2025 10:34:00
But Nuñez might not want Saudi.

10.) 10 Jun 2025 11:53:44
Nunez all day long, Jota for all his faults is twice the player.

11.) 10 Jun 2025 12:32:01
Two times zero is still zero ….

12.) 10 Jun 2025 16:52:52
Good points made there JK.

09 Jun 2025 20:14:01
Ed025 I see a lot of reports about Gordon on here apart from the rolling around was your thoughts on him. I do feel he has improved a lot at Newcastle or that might be him being in a team with better players. If he is a Liverpool fan and wants to play for us I would be happy for him to compete with Gakpo for the left side place as I feel Diaz is so inconsistent.

grino75

{Ed025's Note - i agree on Diaz Grino but i feel that both of them can be headless chickens at times mate, both decent players though and i suppose wanting to actually be at Liverpool would give Gordon the edge..

1.) 09 Jun 2025 20:49:07
Not fussed one way or the other on Gordon, but it would be great if he does come and gets the winner in first derby at the Sandhills stadium . The fume will be great.

{Ed025's Note - its actually the Hill Dickinson stadium john, the jewel in Merseyside,s crown..the fourth Grace mate, and if he did join you i suspect he would have good reason to be rolling around the pitch..well i would hope so.. :)

2.) 09 Jun 2025 20:49:17
I agree with the Ed on this one. I actually feel Gordon is a bit more assured in front of goal. Diaz has his moments, but it frustrates me when he simply lashes at chances. But I guess that’s down to consistency as well. I’d be happy with either next season.

3.) 09 Jun 2025 20:54:04
I want players that make our first 11 better. Not players that our team makes better. Gordon would be a terrible buy. He's a level below what we have. I don't care if he's scouse, he's not good enough. It should be a sackable offence to push on signing Antony Gordon. Do your jobs and scout for far better English talent instead of a scouse player who's not even good enough for Newcastle.

4.) 09 Jun 2025 21:37:16
So, Frimpong, Wirtz, Isak, Kerkez and Gordon, Batman7.

That’s our window.

Who’re you sacking?

5.) 09 Jun 2025 22:05:29
I will support anyone who ends up playing for Liverpool. Jokanovic, Paul Konchesky, yes, they got my support but I would loathe to see Anthony Gordon play for Liverpool, I really don't think he’s that good and the dives to win penalties are anti-football, for me anyway.

6.) 09 Jun 2025 23:06:45
Not the biggest fan of Gordon, certainly don't rate him on the same level as Diaz. If we did sign him I wouldn't mind him playing up top as opposed to on the wing.

7.) 10 Jun 2025 00:27:26
I still say he's better than Diaz and Gakpo. Better Barnet 'n' all ?.
I wouldn't be pushing Diaz out though because of his wages and versatility.
But if he wants out I'd take Gordon and he can replace Diaz and Nunez.

04 Jun 2025 21:01:28
People seen the frimpong video (dad I play for your club) fantastic that guy is going to give his all every time he plays.

grino75

1.) 04 Jun 2025 21:22:50
What a lovely moment!

01 Jun 2025 11:08:08
Ed001 I see loads of reports about clubs looking at Diaz Gakpo Nunez. Not seen anything on Jota is there any interest in him I would love to cash in on Jota I think he is nowhere near the level we need when he came our attacks broke down so much with him but then he had a few good goal scoring runs and it sort of covered up his massive flaws but now his scoring has gone we are left with not a lot. How would you feel like if we sold him and Nunez a first choice striker came in then we had Jayden Danns as cover or do you think he would be better of with a loan next season.

grino75

{Ed001's Note - there is little interest in Jota.}

1.) 01 Jun 2025 12:41:23
Personally I think only Nunez and Diaz will leave. I see Jota and Chiesa staying as squad players, and why would Gakpo leave when he’s getting good game time and we’re building something of a Dutch core?

2.) 01 Jun 2025 12:44:43
imo Jota's crocked. Looked like a bloke playing whilst carrying an injury for the entire 2nd half of last season.

Not surprised there's no interest.

3.) 01 Jun 2025 13:29:53
More suited to a slower league in my opinion. Less demanding on his body. Hoping an Italian club take a punt or Saudi league.

4.) 01 Jun 2025 13:36:49
Rumour had it that Jota suffered a punctured lung in that injury he sustained last season and the club never actually disclosed the actual injury he had.

He did look a shadow of the player when he came back last season and was awful.

On a positive note at least he didn’t just wrap his t#ts in like our record signing striker.

5.) 01 Jun 2025 13:39:13
The fact that he was dropped in the final games suggests that Slot doesn't fancy him.

Even Chiesa got to the start at no9 vs Brighton ahead of him.

Only PL teams I can see considering him are Wolves and Fulham. Would Edwards/ Hughes take a cut price sale for him?

I would much rather keep Chiesa around than Jota.

6.) 01 Jun 2025 13:50:32
What's the plan then with jota? Let him run his contract down or go for peanuts next year? The club are getting next to no value on out going players anymore. It's also not sustainable. We're still holding onto players when we know they're injury prone (Joe gomez) or not good enough (jota) . Slot wants his players to have control over the game and be good in possession. He's watched jota show how limited a player he is and disruptive he is on the pitch to what he wants to achieve. Jota should be sold you're available for sale and the club should be trying to get rid.

7.) 01 Jun 2025 15:19:29
MKS, The only way Jota doesn't get sold is cos we can't find a buyer, IMO. Now for Chiesa, it's a bit different cos there is a WC coming up and I don't see a reason why he would want to stay if he's going to be holding bench the way he did last season. I just don't see that.

Now, Ed01 responded when I posted the above and he said that Chiesa believes he can earn game time on his own so we will have to see.

8.) 01 Jun 2025 16:20:30
Jota started more than Chiesa did at the end of the season just gone.
I don't think Slot fancies either of them but I don't expect Chiesa to see much more action next season.
Maybe if we went get some injuries otherwise I can't see how him staying at Liverpool will enhance his WC chances.

9.) 01 Jun 2025 16:28:04
Jota started more games than Darwin did all season as well Rigsby despite never being available but don’t let the Darwin fan club hear that.

10.) 01 Jun 2025 17:03:31
JK, it's all about opinions. Some believe that Nunez and Chiesa can still come good for us.
Jota has had a poor season and I've never seen him as more than a squad player but last season he started and scored more than Nunez and Chiesa. Chiesa started one League game and was substituted. Those are facts not opinions.
My favourite Nunez fact is that he was booked more times than he scored in the League, last season, despite not starting many games ?.

I don’t get the Isak does not work hard enough comments. He also only missed 4 league games last season I think most of them was down to a toe injury. His injury record looks nowhere near as bad as Jota’s. I also would love to know how you guys have been informed by Eddie Howe on how he changed his way of playing to protect Isak from injury was it email or text?

Hope your right Carra I would love Isak our frontline would be frightening and the thought of Salah leaving in the future would not feel so daunting.
If they take Jota as part of the deal that would be amazing.

I hope we don’t go for Martinez at 28 for the money they would want think he just doesn’t score enough goals. 12 in 31 league games today I bet his minutes per goal are not much better than Darwin’s.

Irish Rover what I would say on that is if Isak is not signing a new contract with Newcastle the £5m he would lose would probably get back in his wages and bonuses for winning the big trophies at Liverpool. But by the sound of it it’s the challenging for the big trophies Isak is more interested in more than money. I turned 50 in January been a Liverpool fan as long as I can remember just don’t know from when. And if we sign Isak this summer is as good as Barnes and Beardsley summer.

If Hato comes in I don’t see as the season goes on Robbo getting much game time as I see Hato covering lb and lcb. I would be happy for Robbo to go as well Tsimikas Quansah and Gomez if we get Hato Kerkez and ait boudlal. I feel that’s more than enough with Virgil Konate Bradley Frimpong and Endo to cover and to come on late on to smash a few.

I did see someone give an interview the other month saying Slot does want one of the forward places freed up for Rio to come in. Maybe he takes chiesa place. With Frimpong being able to to add extra cover up there could make it easy to bring Rio on in games if things a comfortable.

Ed001 one more point to this we can see how much work the squad needs on it do you think the ruthlessness is coming from Slot or  Edward's and Hughes’s. I think that was definitely a weak point in Klopp that he stood by players too long.

{Ed001's Note - Slot. He is the one asking for these players.}

Ed001 you don’t think Gomez can do that job as cover for Konate? Or do you think he needs replacing too.

grino75

{Ed001's Note - too many injuries. I love Joey but he just can't be relied upon and I don't think Quamsah is good enough even if he stays.}

Jota’s passing is the key to the opposition’s counter attack. I like it too.
