There is truth behind the claims that Diomande has chosen PSG as his preferred destination. As you may or may not have noticed, I have tried to stay clear of exerting major confidence on the Diomande deal for a while now. My understanding is always that we were strongly in the mix but it was never as far along as other rumours suggest.

Doubling down on what I said a few weeks back - Bradley Barcola will be a Liverpool player.

I rate Barcola and he obviously makes us better, but what made Diomande a must was the fact he is more comfortable on the right flank despite being right-footed. Potentially having Barcola, Gakpo, Rio, Munoz, and even Wirtz at times on the left would be odd. Of course they could all do bits on the right, but if you're forking out that cash, you'd want someone who actually wants and is more comfortable on the right.



For me now it has to be Rayan, who, like Diomande, there isn't a whole lot of data and I'm not sure how feasible the deal is.

My thoughts have been, for a while, that the price is too high for him. For me, he has world class potential, but he isn't world class. That was a risky fee to pay for such a short period playing at top level.



I've been on the fence a little, as I do think potential is big with him.

It's fair to say, the kid will go far. Tall, robust, takes set pieces and is an output merchant.

Very much a left winger, I would say. Will be a talisman for someone.

It's true about Mulholland scoring 256 goals in one season at youth level. The lad is on Crusaders books and I believe he is staying there for another season.

Irish Rover, I'll believe it when I see the full official record, at youth level, depending on the age and association, there's 10-16 teams in a league. The kid would have to be scoring somewhere between 6 and 10 goals a game.
