Clickbait links us to Evanilson of Porto. Any truth behind this Ed2 or classic Twatter bollocks? Thanks!

{Ed002's Note - Evanilson (S) was of interest to Liverpol perhaps five years ago. He has struggled with injury this season and is the third choice striker at best for Porto. I am not aware of any interest being shown by Liverpool and they should be looking to the likes of Layton Stewart to be stepping up to provide cover.}

1.) 25 May 2023 03:22:44
Thanks for the great response!

23 May 2023 12:54:42
Does any interest in F. Wirtz remain, Ed2? Thanks!

{Ed002's Note - Not from Liverpool.}

1.) 24 May 2023 18:52:38
Cheers buddy!

Hey Eds, thanks for everything you do for the site. I tried the search function but couldn't see much on Neuhaus if late. Just wondered whether he is still a player of interest to Liverpool for this summer?
Much appreciated!

{Ed002's Note - Florian Neuhaus (CM) Interest of Bayern Munic and Borussia Dortmund seems to have moved on. Liverpool may yet return to look again but they have a number of other options that will be preferred. Not for this summer.}

1.) 24 Jun 2022 11:14:52
Cheers buddy! ?.

2.) 24 Jun 2022 17:22:18
Are most of Liverpool's options from your list sold now Ed002?

{Ed002's Note - I would have to tot it up, but probably not.}

Can anyone tell me where all this Dias being sold business is coming from? Selling hum seems counterintuitive to me.

1.) 26 Jan 2023 12:48:07
Lads making up crap in their heads and convincing themselves it's true.

2.) 26 Jan 2023 13:03:25
Gandalf. I think it is coming from people trying to work out how we fund our summer business if there no new investment/ owners.

3.) 26 Jan 2023 13:06:15
Same, he's better than Stones and Akanji.

4.) 26 Jan 2023 13:10:40
I've only ever sold ho's, not hum's, so I'm afraid I can't help you there, Gandalf.

5.) 26 Jan 2023 13:38:43
Diaz had a huge falling out with Lijnders over his book. Apparently he wrote that he wanted to sign Gakpo due to him being Dutch. When the Gakpo deal happened Lijnders also filled Diaz's locker with copies of his book. It's all gone a bit sour. Can't reveal my source, but this is 100% true.

6.) 26 Jan 2023 13:57:29
So Lindjers has a child mentality.

7.) 26 Jan 2023 14:09:19
Let's see how many people take that seriously.

8.) 26 Jan 2023 14:09:22
Always enjoyed your posting MK

But, that seems rather hard to believe. I'm not suggesting it's not true but it's hard to believe that a professional would resort to that sort of behaviour?

Anyhow, thanks for the insight and I'd be super upset if Diaz were to leave because of that.

9.) 26 Jan 2023 15:11:51
MK, you little devil!

10.) 26 Jan 2023 15:18:27
2 so far SR. Satire just doesn't work very well on here lol.

11.) 26 Jan 2023 15:30:47
2 is 2 more than I expected you to get MK! Happy fishing!

12.) 26 Jan 2023 15:27:20
Para-red, i understand mate. It wasn't until i saw the photo of Diaz's log burner, filled with copies of Lijnders book, that i believed it myself.

That book is absolutely the main problem this season. Erik ten Hag actually bought the first copy from his Dutch compatriot, and ripped off all our tactics/ training regimes. Which is why Rashford looks like a prime Mane this year.

13.) 26 Jan 2023 16:14:52
MK Scouser, That was brilliant BUT be careful cos people may actually believe it esp. those so hung up on fact that writing a book is the cause of all our issues after blaming Mane's departure for them like you know, the same guy they prolly wanted sold during last season cos they thought he was finished? Yeah, that's what we are being afflicted with these days.

14.) 26 Jan 2023 18:22:55
Technically it’s not the books that to blame for all our woes. It was the pen, so I’m going to blame that from now on.

15.) 26 Jan 2023 18:22:55
Technically it’s not the books that to blame for all our woes. It was the pen, so I’m going to blame that from now on.

{Ed001's Note - it is mightier than the sword.}

16.) 26 Jan 2023 18:33:43
Maybe I should've left it longer before rumbling it.

17.) 26 Jan 2023 19:01:09
Brilliant thread lads! Sounds like a hum dinger Zed!

18.) 26 Jan 2023 20:32:43
Pen? That's so 20th century.
21st century writer's pen is called a laptop.

01 May 2022 18:58:17
Big win for Everton today 😛.

1.) 01 May 2022 20:02:57
What is going on with Chelsea? Have they all decided to take a break until the new owner is introduced?

2.) 01 May 2022 20:37:27
Extremely disappointed in Chelsea being so pathetic today, they’ve thrown Everton a lifeline. However it does bode well for us when we play them in two weeks time, they look absolutely useless.

3.) 01 May 2022 20:39:32
That uncertainty cannot be helping. But the defeat to Madrid was a gut punch. They played so well and to loose as they did looks to have really affected them. Thier form has gone off a cliff, and if they think they can play like this till the Cup final and just turn up against Liverpool they will be in for more of the same.

4.) 01 May 2022 20:39:36
Think they are saving themselves especially for the 14th : (.

5.) 01 May 2022 22:08:35
Nail on the head there Jonesy 👍.

6.) 01 May 2022 23:18:05
Listen lads, Im a born and bread scouser, and like every other scouser in the city, like it or loathe it, 50% of your family and your best mates are reds, 50% of them are blues - that’s just the way it is.

I genuinely hope the blues stay up, it would be so bad for the city if they got relegated and not to have a Derby each year would be a disaster in my opinion.

When the fixtures come out, the first game I always look for is the Derby, to me it’s the best day of the year.

This is just my own opinion BTW so don’t dig me out, but I hope they do stay up, for the sake of the city more than anything and looking forward to the derbies every season.

For me it’s about the city more than anything else. There’s reds and blues in my family and mates and derby day is something special to us all - as scousers

YNWA.

7.) 02 May 2022 00:25:17
I think Everton will stay up but it doesn't look good for Leeds they have the worst run in of the lot.

8.) 02 May 2022 03:17:30
Maybe some of the players / staff at Chelsea are getting concerned about May 31st? Through the specific fault of their soon to be ex-owner their future isn’t clear at the moment.

9.) 02 May 2022 10:44:19
Chelsea are being exposed for the fraufds that they are with a large chunk of their fans spouting rubbish all preseason about how their squad was better than ours, how LFC had fallen off and wouldn't challenge (more wishful thinking and hope rather than actual evidence) and how Tuchel was at the same level/ better than Klopp.

Not surprised they lost to Everton who actually outplayed them, showed more heart, desire and fight while Chelsea players just looked disinterested and not arsed about the game. This is what leads to the dross they serve up and the individual mistakes they make. Not sad for them at all due to their lack of humility preseason. Everton? They are still in deep trouble but they gave themselves a great chance.

{Ed001's Note - to be fair, what do Chelsea have left to play for in the league?}

10.) 02 May 2022 15:24:50
I agree, Ed. Chelsea players have checked out and even tho their fans are still piping up saying they are saving their best game for the FA Cup vs us, playing quality footie is not something you can just switch on and off. If they carry on with this wretched attitude just cos they got nothing else to play for in the league, they are in for a rude awakening come the FA Cup final, IMO.

14 Mar 2022 17:33:13
Question for all . When Klopp eventually leaves, who would be your ideal replacement? Personally, I'd like to think Pep would step forward to keep the momentum we currently have. Thoughts? 🤔.

1.) 14 Mar 2022 17:59:36
The popular choice here Gandalf is Pep mate.

2.) 14 Mar 2022 18:41:09
James Milner may be.

3.) 14 Mar 2022 18:54:23
Pep. No one on the market will come close to Klopp so the best choice is surely someone who has worked next to him day-to-day for years. Plus the players all apparently love and respect him so should respect his authority. Even if Gerrard does a great job at Villa, for me he still won't have had enough experience under his belt by 2024.

4.) 14 Mar 2022 18:54:27
I understand why people talk of PL as the replacement and could do very well. But I would like Louis Enrique or Erik Ten Hag. I like Hasenhuttl as well to be honest with you.

5.) 14 Mar 2022 18:57:20
For continuity I’d have Pep as a different manager would probably result in a whole new back room staff, which I don’t think is helpful. I’m not sure on Gerrard as I believe he cares more about himself than the club. Out of left field, If Klopp stays 1 or 2 years past his current deal, which I believe he will. I would be interested to see how Xavi Alonso has progressed as a manager in that time. The guy is a class act and I can’t see him not being a class act manager.

6.) 14 Mar 2022 19:05:35
Klopps man management skills and the way the players look at him shows the aura of the man.

Klopp has all his coaching staff in place, who do the day to day coaching and if you ever watch him on match day during the warm up he just stands in the middle looking at his players not saying a word whilst his coaches coach them In preparation.

When Klopp does go, replacing him with a manager who is tactically dept with good managerial skills will be the easy part.

The hard part will be replacing his world class leadership that seems to ensure all the players raise their game and are willing to run through brick walls for him.

7.) 14 Mar 2022 17:47:14
I think it would be insane to not at least give Pep a try. If it fails then it fails and at least we then know, but i think it would be crazy to not try and continue to Klopp era through Pep, like we did with Shankly and Paisley back in the day. Continuity is an invaluable and rare thing in football, but the teams that can harness it are the ones that end up being successful for very long periods of time.

8.) 14 Mar 2022 19:39:55
We will nvr replace what klopp has brought to this club!

9.) 14 Mar 2022 19:47:45
Agree Jay we will have problems when Klopp leave’s.

10.) 14 Mar 2022 19:57:12
Pep, Gerrard or Tuchel.

11.) 14 Mar 2022 20:13:25
Klopp will be hard to replace but Pep is surely the natural replacement for continuity. I hope he's given a chance. I'd steer clear of Gerrard. He was a hero player on the pitch, but I feel appointing him would be nostalgia over brains and no proven record. We're at the stage where Liverpool are competing at the elite level each season so that would demand a manager of calibre.
Eds interesting to hear your opinions on who would be a suitor to replace Klopp?

{Ed002's Note - Certainly not Guardiola.}

12.) 14 Mar 2022 20:15:21
Steven Gerrard for me all day long. Considering what he did for this club I am shocked that some think that he is more concerned about himself than the club. Got to say that I hope stays forever though.

13.) 14 Mar 2022 20:40:03
What if Pep doesn't want the manager's job?
Can't just force it on him.

14.) 14 Mar 2022 20:41:26
This is a genuine question but does the name of the manager come in to any of your thinking?

Pep will obviously be the most seamless transition for the existing squad and style of play (on paper) however does the fact that he's a relative unknown outside of Liverpool put us at a potential disadvantage when recruiting? I'm sure many of our current squad will suggest Klopp as a reason for arriving, are we concerned we'll lose that?

15.) 14 Mar 2022 20:43:18
Conte?

16.) 14 Mar 2022 21:06:10
Linders all day long.

17.) 14 Mar 2022 21:39:19
Smooth Ed 😂.

18.) 14 Mar 2022 22:01:08
Sometimes, the hate for Gerrard here is astonishing. Makes you wonder if he played for United.

19.) 14 Mar 2022 22:31:20
Tuchel can stay the heck away from Anfield with that defensive footie he plays. Lijnders for me.

20.) 14 Mar 2022 22:51:22
Surely Lijnders.

He has done / is doing his apprenticeship and doesn’t seem to have put a foot wrong.

He is learning from one of, if not the, best. He knows how the owners and back room staff works. He knows the players and understands what the club is about.

For me it’s simple having been around since the Boot Room days, promote someone from within if there is somebody ready. I reckon Pep is / will be ready.

As much as it pains me to say, City deserve to win it. They have arguably been the best team in Europe for a few years, sure made from burning dinosaur bones, but athletically deserving non the less.
