Good morning Ed, hope you're well.
Two names I've not seen before regarding the sporting director role (entirely possible I missed them, but I gave it a quick search my end) .
Ricky Massara.
Florent Ghisolfi.
Any weight to these rumours? Additionally, would you rate either as a good pickup?
{Ed002's Note - Massara is available but was previously sacked by RedBird who are part owners of Liverpool. I am not sure he would be a good fix and would be well down the list.
Florent Ghisolfi has only been at Nice for about 18 months and I am not aware of interest being shown by Liverpool.}

Appreciate you wouldn't ideally lose Branthwaite Ed025, but would you be happy with Doak and some cash in return? Not sure how much you've seen of Doak.
{Ed025's Note - i have seen a bit of Doak Dan and he certainly has potential, which is pretty similar to Branthwaite in a way...both young with good ability but with still a lot to learn imo, i think Jarrad has the higher celing though mate which is why he is very sought after and it would take a fair amount of cash plus Doak to convince the Blues to part with their prize asset mate..

I think both things are true personally, I think it is likely that the plan was to drop deep but that players weren't on it enough to play it all out appropriately. So in the end the "plan" worked but not at all the way it should have done.

While everyone scrambles to see what Newcastle want for Isak I say we just secure Cunha given we know what we can get him for. Get him early and let our rivals rush around trying to pry Isak or whomever away from their respective clubs.

I was disappointed with the performance not necessarily the actual result. That should have been good enough on paper to win that game and I think all of the senior players - outside of Endo - had very poor games. I think the reality is however winning the quadruple was never going to happen so I'm not upset about having fewer games now ahead of us.

I'm sure I saw some comments about the injury record at Feyenoord also being very good and I believe Slot brought over most the fitness staff so that must surely play a role, whether that be the physical therapy they're performing on the players or the plans they're putting together for the players away from the training ground.
I do think the style of play absolutely makes difference as well.
OP is right though, to me anyway, I'm surprised at how close we are to s full contingent coming out of the busy Christmas period.

Salah I feel the same way, I'm convinced it is a delivery problem though most of the time. It feels like we have the height and physicality to do more and we certainly aren't lacking in terms of numbers of corners we win. We're so bad at them I don't even consider them a chance now.
