The events yesterday were so heartbreaking and even more so when I saw the video of the rampage on the BBC. One of the happiest days of my life turned into one with such horrific memory. I had a badly sprained ankle which stopped me from going and it could be one of us there. I just hope people in the hospitals fully recover, nothing else matters now.

So heart-broken.

What a day. I couldn't get myself a ticket for today but will be at the parade what come may. What a day, what a year and despite some frustrations here and there, it has been a truly beautiful season thus far. Thank you so much Arne for leading us to the top of the premier league. #YNWA.

What a great job he has done.

2.) 27 Apr 2025 11:49:20
Spot on, LFCDas. Arne has done a fantastic job overall regardless of certain disagreements personally. It's all part of the process. Let's get no. 20 home and celebrate all night long, like Lionel Richie from back in the day.

What a great result. We stay ahead by 8 points :) Weather is beautiful today.

Darwin Nunez is something else lol. At this point, I don't get frustrated anymore. I think he is a good lad who probably has a better career as a CB.

{Ed025's Note - or serving in McDonalds Das..

1.) 19 Feb 2025 21:30:55
Frustrating that. Bring Jota off who had an assist, hit the bar, and seemed hungry. for Nunez who is offside when he crosses the road. Who misses an open goal almost immediately?

Poor decision that.

2.) 19 Feb 2025 21:33:48
He was never going to win us the league was he.

3.) 19 Feb 2025 21:39:02
Said it before. It's more of a suprise when nunez scores a goal. He is a poor man's Andy Carroll. Needs to go in the summer. He'd do well in Saudi.

4.) 19 Feb 2025 21:39:06
He has to go in the summer.

I just can't anymore.

Id bring him on in 85th minute now if absolutely nothing is happening and that's it.

5.) 19 Feb 2025 21:39:29
As I’ve said before (quoting Dave Bassett) “He couldn’t hit a cows @rse with a banjo”. Look back through my posts about him virtually since he arrived. He is a centre forward who doesn’t score which means he isn’t a good centre forward. For all his huffing and puffing and running about is there anybody, honestly, who wouldn’t prefer him to score 20 goals a season?

6.) 19 Feb 2025 21:54:40
Darwin was unlucky today.

Unlucky that the goals aren’t 20 foot high.

Unlucky to be offside

Unlucky with that defence splitting pass that Szob wasn’t 10 yards further forward and offside to receive ir.

Apart from that he was at his chaotic and smiley best.

7.) 19 Feb 2025 21:56:34
Nunez being bad doesn’t mean Jota is particularly good. There are two kebab shops near me, one is significantly nicer than the other but they’ll both give you food poisoning.

8.) 19 Feb 2025 21:58:17
I remain consistent on my opinion of Nunez. Those who continue to support him, I respect your opinion, but I don't think he'd get in the Arsenal side, and they don't have a forward. I would've cashed in in the winter and been a forward down. He's up there (or down there) with Voronin and probably has less intelligence. Get rid in the Summer, there's plenty of traffic cones about.

9.) 19 Feb 2025 21:59:52
Darwin will do well in Saudi on 565k PW. He will look great in a farmers pub league.

10.) 19 Feb 2025 22:04:58
The line up and the subs were atrocious. Jones on wing? Brings on Nunez instead of Diaz.
Takes off Trent and Jota who were creating. Just threw that game totally away.
Relying on Forrest do us a favour.

11.) 19 Feb 2025 22:24:44
I don't think Jota should have been subbed as he was playing well at the time. I think Slot got that wrong on paper.

12.) 19 Feb 2025 22:40:22
The elephant in the room is that it looks very much like the wheels are beginning falling off., regardless of any misses by Nunes. Our midfield looks like it’s running on fumes, we lack quality in depth to rotate putting pressure on the defence. Whether anyone is willing to be honest and admit that is up to them. But you can’t deny we’ve been here before and it only ends one way.

Those decisions not to act in the summer or January may well come back to bite us.

13.) 19 Feb 2025 22:50:58
But I thought Slot was supposed to be a strategic genius.

14.) 19 Feb 2025 22:51:04
Jota and Trent were subbed as they are coming back from injury and we’re always going to only play 60 mins, see slot post match interview.

15.) 19 Feb 2025 23:06:03
Jota is what Jota always was. An injury prone player who's usually poor in the build up but comes alive in the opposition penalty area. He's good enough for the squad, you can use him as a sub, or start him in games where you can carry someone poor in the build up in exchange for the extra goal threat, but not as first choice.

Nunez on the other hand has regressed badly this season. He's gone from not scoring as many as he could have last season, to scoring even less and not getting in the position to score often enough for most of this season, and now his effort seems to be waning.

Plus, I think I said it match chat early in the season that both of them are too loose with their touches to be particularly suited to Slot's style of play.

16.) 19 Feb 2025 23:13:59
@KBL, Slot is an excellent coach but, like you and me and everybody else on this forum, he is human and will make the occasional mistake. As it stands we are 8 points clear at the top of the table. Time for us all to support the team.

17.) 19 Feb 2025 23:21:43
Nunez finishing is as poor as usual, but now even the "chaos" he would bring to a game has dried up.
Has to go in the summer.

18.) 19 Feb 2025 22:15:36
@ED25: People may throw stones at me for this. But I would rather play Endo, Harvey or Chiesa as a centre forward instead of captain Chaos. I think we are just hoping he scores a few goals and his market value increases.

{Ed025's Note - he is looking very poor at the moment Das..

19.) 20 Feb 2025 09:20:09
His problem is that he seems not be able to take a half second to compose himself. I also think he is the type of person who needs to feel confident, which he clearly isn’t at the moment. I actually feel sorry for the lad but having been here for nearly three years now anybody who thinks he is going to make the grade for us is just wrong in my opinion.

According to Deloitte reports: The average wage as % of revenue is c.72%. And Liverpool's wage percentage is still much better than most.

So, we now want to control what they do in life. We must have insights from sources within the camp that he had been skipping his contractual hours writing the book; otherwise why should anyone have any issue with it? Or has he given out trade secrets which is 'reason' behind our poor start? Baffling comments.

@Southern Red: The Ed-s have repeatedly informed us of the financial struggles of the club owing to CV and that it is highly likely that we wouldn't pay the transfer fee for someone potentially not having much of a resale value going forward. But your statement that acquiring him will break our wage structure is factually incorrect. We have always been told how high our wages are. I understand Thiago is currently paid 125k per week (if I were to trust the internet) and we paid Clyne c.80k per week all this while.

I think he was banned for 14 days on 11th October. So, if it was effective from the day it was announced, he must be alright now!

I think the referee blew the whistle multiple times but Nunez didn't stop running. The entire ground must have heard except for him. I will give Nunez the benefit of doubt here, but a part of me thinks he did go for it knowing it wasn't going to result into anything. Now you can all kill me for that comment lol.
