I see there had been a Fab Romano 'Here we go' about the young Monaco winger. Does this possibly mean we could be hearing a Barcola one very soon?

5

01 Aug 2026 13:29:09
They're signing the kid from Ajax as well. So I assume Barcola won't be far behind!

9

01 Aug 2026 13:47:52
Barcola won't be far behind, no.

Just not this weekend, I wouldn't imagine. Barcola will be a Liverpool player, it's just a matter of finalising all the smaller legal details and organising the structure of a deal.

27

01 Aug 2026 13:54:19
If they have a fee agreed in principle, perhaps there is value in keeping it quiet whilst they do another deal that would look to benchmark against it, eg Rayan or another RW.

If they are still negotiating with PSG, well, that is another thing.

8

01 Aug 2026 14:37:34
Always seems our transfers take longer than anyone else's. Or is it just me?

17

01 Aug 2026 14:39:55
At a surface level, there's something to admire about how PSG are approaching their transfer business.

Akliouche and Godts for around a combined 100mil pound, when they still have Doue, Dembele, and Kvaradonna is very good business.

13

01 Aug 2026 14:53:38
Another way of looking at it, Faith, is that it only happened when the deal for Diomande fell apart.

I wonder what the fee would have been for Akliouche and Godts if a Premier League club had enquired about them?

PSG can afford to pay, so why are clubs letting them get their players on the cheap?

8

01 Aug 2026 14:57:04
We never announce new signings on the weekend. It's deliberate.

3

01 Aug 2026 14:57:41
Fair play, Vic, for calling Barcola very early. Starting to get excited about having genuine raw pace in the team again.

Also, like the idea of wingers swapping, used to play on both wings myself and hated when managers didn't fancy swapping during games.

Keeps the full backs guessing, especially in the modern game, where the emphasis at full back is nearly more to go forward than defend. Hopefully a sign of rock and roll football returning. 💪

8

01 Aug 2026 15:22:32
How much more could you really ask for the lad from Ajax in fairness?

1

01 Aug 2026 17:00:24
Still happened. We could have done it? Maybe not tho, I'm sure it's more complicated than what I'm typing on this screen.

Hence why I prefaced with "on a surface level".

1

01 Aug 2026 17:09:31
If PSG are selling Barcola for Akliouche, that would suggest that Akliouche is better than Barcola on the basis of you don't sell your best players for squad players? The first eleven is far more important than the squad as a whole! Always has, always will be! A winger is a winger regarding what side of the pitch he plays on?

Does Barcola have previous injuries, for example PSG are hoping to get away with on a medical, such as Shankly turned down Frank Worthington on doctor's advice of Venereal Disease VD or dirty dick to be more apt, Aquilani also raises concerns, he was signed on doctor's advice he had a bad ankle, yet Rafa still bought him and he had more serious knee issues than ankle, we could be signing a sick note in the toughest physical league in the world.

Is there something amiss going on here?

0

01 Aug 2026 17:20:39
PSG are selling Barcola because the player wants to leave, they very much wanted to keep Barcola, so they've been forced to look for alternatives and their first option (Diomande) went elsewhere.

Neither of the players they're close to signing (Akliouche and Godts) are currently anywhere near as good as Barcola (they're very different footballers to Barcola tbf) and that's coming from someone who thinks Barcola is good but nothing special and massively overpriced.

01 Aug 2026 17:56:46
Hello,

Wirtz Nightmare, I respect your opposite insights, it's most apt, Wirtz Nightmare, considering I had the same similar thoughts when we were trying to get Wirtz over the line!

I also have the same views regarding Wharton at £80 million, that's the same as buying a Ford Fiesta for Rolls Royce prices!

1

01 Aug 2026 18:21:47
I said a few days ago we'll get confirmation on Barcola from early next week.

2

01 Aug 2026 18:23:47
Haha, yeh it was my FPL team name last season and I couldn’t remember my previous login from here that I used many years ago!

I completely agree re: Wharton, and he’d cost a lot more than £80m now as well, I suspect.

Probably looking north of £100m for him in this market, which anyone would be clinically insane to pay (which is likely why we’ve probably heard no one being linked with him this summer).

2

01 Aug 2026 18:42:36
I went with Wirtz happens at sea.

1

01 Aug 2026 19:29:43
007, Chelsea didn't fancy Salah at one time, maybe just isn't the player for the manager's style of play, maybe his fave doesn't fit, who knows.

1

01 Aug 2026 19:53:07
King Kenny, I think it is quite simple. The rest of Europe dislikes England, and if they can charge English clubs more for a player, they will. Furthermore, European clubs enjoyed success in UCL when English clubs were banned in the 80's and early 90's. There is still animosity from the way English fans carried on when away, and some of them still carry on this way. If you ask me, European fans can be just as bad.

I think for English clubs now to be getting the big TV deals and massive investment from USA and Saudi billionaires annoys them. And they are also well aware that most of their young players will use their stepping stone to reach the EPL. Take all that and fire in a bit of political and historical beef, then this is probably why they charge English clubs more for players.

2

01 Aug 2026 11:17:02
Gapko to Spurs seems to be gathering pace. A Spurs friend of mine is adamant it’s happening soon. Do we know if this is the case? Hoping with the current market we are getting at least £60-70 mill for him.

10

01 Aug 2026 11:32:30
It bewilders me how, in this market, we would entertain the idea of accepting £60m for a Premier League winner who did 20+ G/A 2x seasons on the trot.

28

01 Aug 2026 11:33:15
With the current market going bananas, I'd want 300 mill for Gakpo.

12

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i hope thats Turkish Lira Strom.. :)

18

01 Aug 2026 11:48:33
No way we should be leaving Gakpo go, we're alright squad light.

12

01 Aug 2026 11:50:42
Didn't Macca say so?

5

01 Aug 2026 11:53:34
Gakpo is not good enough and earns way too much.

23

01 Aug 2026 12:00:03
The price will be effected by last season's form.
If we could get £60/£70m for him and get Barcola and Rayan, I would think we would have done ok. He is 28 this season. We signed him for £35/£44m.

He has been an ok player but nowhere near the standards set by Mane and is never going to get to that level. So better than keeping to play second fiddle to Barcola and his value going down.

11

01 Aug 2026 12:20:31
Regardless of his limitations, in this market, his output in terms of goals and assists should get us more than £70m.

If we can't get close to that figure, I'd keep him as we need cover in the forward areas.

As an aside, we seem to have acquired a tendency to spend high and sell low. Glad Edwards is gone and will be happy to see the back of Hughes.

9

01 Aug 2026 12:24:50
If we sell Gakpo, we need to buy another player on top of Barcola for squad depth. Better if it is a RW.

I don't like that we were very light on the squad last year, and we don't seem to recognize and help that.

2

01 Aug 2026 12:33:14
If Gordon is worth 70, then Gakpo is worth 80 at least.

This market right now is so inflated, we could ask for that and would get it.

Minteh and Rayan, who have a year or so in the prem, are quoted at 80+ so Gakpo at the same price is actually an insult.

14

01 Aug 2026 12:35:22
If we could swap Gakpo for Rayan in the squad, it would look a lot more balanced. Would hope that the fees for each player should be similar also, and it would lower the wage bill.

5

01 Aug 2026 12:35:32
If it's only based on last season's form, there is a substantial difference in price between Gakpo and Rayan.

Rayan played 4 months of PL football and is rated at over 100 mill. Yes, he's younger, but Gakpo is hardly over the hill and way more established. Not saying don't sell Gakpo, but for me he's worth more than Richarlison (60mill) and even Grealish (100 mill).

8

01 Aug 2026 12:43:25
Last season's form. Barcola netted 20 G/A, Gakpo netted 15 during a poor season under an ineffective manager, mind you. He might be 27, but you can't tell me he's worth half of what Barcola's worth, that's nonsense.

7

01 Aug 2026 12:10:38
Ed025, well the prices for rubbish players atm we might as well get it in precious Pound notes, the big green ones

01 Aug 2026 12:54:48
I would say Gordon and Gakpo are on par.
Gordon is quicker, and Gakpo has a better eye for goal.
Both have their limitations, and I would gladly take £70m for Gakpo.
I would also gladly take anything over £30m for Jones, and anything at all for Chiesa and Endo.

£110m there, and pays for Barcola.
Sell Macca for £75m too, and spend it on Sadiki from Sunderland.

Go out and buy Kounde, Fernandez Pardo, Zabarnyi for around £140m combined, and that's the only spend this summer apart from Munoz £35m.

7

01 Aug 2026 12:55:44
Defo need to keep hold of Gapko. Isak is the only striker we have at the moment with Etikite being injured, and as we all know Isak has a lengthy injury record.
We need Gapko to share the work with Isak.

4

01 Aug 2026 12:55:48
We're going for top of the market big name signings. That comes with getting less than what you're spending, for the players that you let go. Gakpo at £70m would be a fair price. If you're not selling to Bayern, Real or PSG, you just have to accept it and move on before whoever you're trying to sell's market value depreciates even more.

1

01 Aug 2026 12:56:19
Gakpo doesn't want to leave so I very much doubt that he will. Nor should he. He is a very good player and a valuable asset to our current forward line. If sold, I certainly believe that it will not be to Spurs. He'll have better options than that.

3

01 Aug 2026 12:57:55
@JK23, I think you are overlooking the age factor too much. Minteh and Rayan have suboptimal output, but the prices are due to age.

With regards to selling low, we can't actually sell that high more often than not, cos those that probably cost that high are someone we always want to keep (e.g.

Coutinho). If management sell those players even with high fees, the fans would be complaining we have no ambition lol.

2

01 Aug 2026 13:16:12
Take £70m all day. The Gordon comparison was spot on in my opinion. They're both limited players and their goal tallies look better than their actual ability, in my opinion. Probably because they both get a lot of minutes as strikers.

Gakpo is not a bad player at all, but he is incredibly one footed and, as a result, very predictable. Even Salah would occasionally use the outside of his left foot or go on the outside of the full back.

Gakpo always cuts inside though. Always.

He'll go and do well at Spurs or Bayern. He's just not elite and at 27 years old he should be coming into his prime, not coming off the back of a flat season. I'll get behind him if he stays, but it feels like the right time for change.

8

01 Aug 2026 13:35:26
Definitely think Gakpo is leaving. And it could be 63m + 7m addons.

3

01 Aug 2026 13:49:40
Gapko is worth 60m. He will go for around that figure, however, to Byern, not Tottenham, in my humble opinion.

And we will buy another midfielder, irrespective whether we sell Gapko or not.

If we sell Macca & Jones, expect a third midfield purchase.

It's all gathering pace. Next week will be a biggie.

4

01 Aug 2026 14:16:10
"Gakpo always cuts inside though. Always"

He never passed to an overlapping Kerkez either. I wonder how much of that was due to Slot though. He went down the wing a couple of times in the WC and looked a better player.

If he stays then I'm expecting a fair improvement this season.

2

01 Aug 2026 14:17:54
John Barnes is God. I think Gakpo will go Spurs because Bayern won't fork out the money for him unless Diaz is sold (appears unlikely based on Bayern's CEO's statements). Jones will likely go, and a new midfielder brought in. Reports have emphasised a new midfielder only in the case of a departure, which makes sense given we have quite a few bodies there and want to let Nyoni flourish.

Also, I hope you have dismissed your Diomande dream, particularly in the light of the damning reports regarding his agency situation and the fact he is halfway through the door of Madrid.

1

01 Aug 2026 14:35:02
Can somebody explain to me why Gakpo would want to leave his near £300k pw 5 year contract with the team who won the Premier League just 12 months ago to join a club that's barely escaped relegation 2 years on the trot? Or why Bayern would buy him when Diaz is in the form of his life?

0

01 Aug 2026 14:45:42
Well said, @Sikaboy, above. My thoughts, if this gathers any real steam, is the left side is crowded, but the middle will need cover until Etikite is back in 2027.

0

01 Aug 2026 14:59:27
The chance to get Gakpo's wages off the books will not be passed up by FSG imo.

My personal take is that his race is run at Liverpool, Iraola wants wingers with a different profile, ie those that can play on both flanks.

He has shown he is not good enough to be a back up striker, so let's be honest, when would he get a game?

Whilst Spurs are spending like lottery winners, let's take advantage and get a high earning squad player off our books.

0

01 Aug 2026 15:32:39
Chewy, I suspect Rio's increasing need for playing time, and the club signing another two primarily LWs in addition to that might factor into his decision.

2

01 Aug 2026 19:23:55
Plus Spurs will increase his wages.

0

01 Aug 2026 13:10:01
Ed025, of course it unrealistic, there is no such thing as green pound notes anymore.you had a late night Ed

01 Aug 2026 02:12:01
Expect some loan offers for Chiesa late in the window. Club would rather sell but Italy seems to be the only option for him with Roma, Inter, Juventus and Como interested.
I think it’s in his best interest to move back and get some playing time.
I also expect Liverpool to make a move for Fernandez-Pardo.

12

01 Aug 2026 07:15:14
Not keen on Fernando-Partridge. He's 22 years old and he's spending his Saturday afternoon in bed with a girl, he's wasting his life. Avoid.

38

01 Aug 2026 07:16:23
I honestly don't rate Pardo & I can't see where he fits in. He is not the kind of player we need, he would be better off at a club like Brighton or Spurs.

2

01 Aug 2026 07:59:55
Fernando-Partridge. 😂😂😂

16

01 Aug 2026 08:27:04
We are at the stage of 4 out 1 in! We be playing a team of u18s soon!
More out than in.

8

01 Aug 2026 09:04:33
Never heard of this guy, and from YouTube clips, he looks predominantly right footed. Is this another left winger then? Are we going to stockpile left wingers and have no right wingers? This is really confusing me now.

4

01 Aug 2026 09:15:48
Pleased the Travel Tavern WiFi held up long enough for you to post your message, LaBoeuf.

9

01 Aug 2026 09:16:44
Inbeta, Iraola did an interview the other day and went into detail about how he likes his wingers to be capable of starting on both sides and also be able to switch within games.

I'd say our recruitment team have probably been tasked with finding wingers who are comfortable doing that.

I'd still be going for Neto or Minteh personally. They play both sides and offer blistering pace. Not seen Fernandez-Pardo play before to judge him though.

8

01 Aug 2026 09:25:37
Really fancy Minteh myself, MK. He doesn't have great goal scoring numbers, but he is unpredictable.
We don't necessarily need to replace Salah's goals. What we definitely need is a winger that puts balls into the box for Isak, or plays him in on goal.

8

01 Aug 2026 09:27:36
I'm pretty sure Fernando Partridge was the name of Alan's son. A-ha!!!

11

01 Aug 2026 09:30:45
A loan for Chiesa would be pointless. Agree with Inbeta, we have more than enough right footed wingers.

2

01 Aug 2026 09:36:22
Haha, Fernando-Partridge 😅 He should join me at the owl sanctuary and stop wasting his life in bed with a girl.

6

01 Aug 2026 09:38:24
You busy there, Fernando ?? You sound out of breath....

7

01 Aug 2026 10:11:38
Cheers, MK. I didn't see that interview. I am all for using wingers that actually use the wing and don't just cut in like Gakpo. So the like of Barcola will definitely be an upgrade there. But, I am just concerned that there ain't much left footers being mentioned. Can Marmadashvili play on the right wing? That would be some sight lol.

3

01 Aug 2026 10:41:18
MK, agree Neto would be a good buy at the right price. In my opinion, we need to be looking at how to get the best out of Isak. Murphy at Newcastle created many chances for him on his right side. Neto hopefully could do the same.

2

01 Aug 2026 10:54:39
😅🤣 Yeah, wasting is life getting his end away.... Sounds tragic.

6

01 Aug 2026 18:09:42
The best thing that ever happened to me was getting kicked out by my wife. She ran off with a fitness instructor called Robin Peeters who drinks that yellow stuff in tins - Campbell's chicken soup. He's an idiot. Can he order an Irish coffee at 3 am? No, he can't. He's on the BRB Gravy train to MCR.

1

01 Aug 2026 20:08:00
MKS, Neto ain't good enuff. Does a lot of running and all that, but his end product is whack.

Might as well give Munoz a chance.

31 Jul 2026 22:37:14.
I posted a while ago about us asking about the availability of Archie Gray.
I met today with my friend who knows the Gray family and have been told that Spurs have no interest in letting him go and we have walked away and won't force anything.

22

31 Jul 2026 23:41:07
Yeah, Spurs are not selling anyone.
If Gray wanted a move he'd have to force it.

1

31 Jul 2026 23:46:48
Ideal replacement for Jones imo.

3

01 Aug 2026 00:41:13
A lot to like about him. Super versatile to the point that you don't need to replace Trent, Gomes, and Endo. Progresses the ball very well. Once he grows into his frame, he will be one to watch.

But at the current market rate, trying to get an English gem out of Spurs would be a nightmare. Isak, in theory, was worth the hassle and price. But pick your battles.

9

31 Jul 2026 22:17:08
Rumours Arsenal have agreed terms with Vini. I still reckon he's looking for Real to up his wages.

13

31 Jul 2026 22:55:19
More trouble than he's worth in my opinion.

32

01 Aug 2026 00:17:50
That's some serious money involved in that deal no matter what the official price is. There's a lot of people who would want their palms crossed with silver to make that happen.

I just don't think Arsenal have the means to do it. Especially considering they've done nothing but add to their squad with no significant outgoings for the past 3 seasons.

It's all pie in the sky. There's only 3 English clubs I think would do that deal, City, Chelsea or Utd.

City and Chelsea are under too much scrutiny, so that leaves Utd, who could be desperate enough, but I don't think Carrick would want such a strong ego in the squad, so I don't think they'll be anywhere near it.

Unless something goes very wrong with the Madrid hierarchy he'll be staying where he is.

I certainly wouldn't want him at Liverpool. I can't stand the constant histrionics. You think Macca is bad? Vini Jr takes cheating to a whole new level!

16

01 Aug 2026 06:04:37
Oh Arsenal have means. And huge means. Berta can be a miser but Arsenal have unlimited means if they so wish.
You can call Wenger what you want, but the foundation he laid for that club means they will absolutely never be short of money.

They may choose to walk away over deals, but if they want a player, money is not a problem.

4

01 Aug 2026 06:18:39
Arsenal are bound by PSR, so the fact the owners have billions doesn't mean the football club have unlimited funds.

I agree about Arsenal going about things the right way in terms of club management since Wenger's time. The move from Highbury was handled well, and placed the emphasis on the medium / long term plan rather than over extending themselves on buying players they couldn't really afford.

I like the way they've gone about it and the only issue I have is with their choice of manager.

5

01 Aug 2026 06:24:23
Maybe its all sour grapes... Maybe its not, but Arsenal can defo afford to add Vini. Forget the finances....

imo... Vini's antics, style, demeanor, attitude, etc are a perfect fit what Arteta is building at Arsenal.

He will make them stronger, without a doubt.

And from a personal preference, I just dont like his attitude. Each to their own at the end of the day.

4

01 Aug 2026 06:38:52
Did I accidentally find myself on an Arsenal rumours page??

15

01 Aug 2026 08:24:15
He doesn't even fit their style of play. No way Arsenal get Vini, he is just using them to force Madrid's hand.

2

01 Aug 2026 08:45:57
They are likely making way for Haaland. Move Vini this summer, bring Haaland in next, and shift Mbappe to the left.

5

01 Aug 2026 08:59:04
Haaland won't be going to Madrid.

0

01 Aug 2026 09:26:49
Strange that Jerry as Haaland has a Real Madrid buy-out clause in his contract. He had it in his 1st deal with Manchester City too. All the ways lead to Madrid for Haaland.

3

01 Aug 2026 10:14:14
Real or Barca, anyway I'd imagine.

0

01 Aug 2026 10:59:40
As a few have said, Haaland has a release clause specifically for if RM come knocking. He's ruled this season out himself, but he's going next year, 100%.

1

01 Aug 2026 11:36:38
I hope Arsenal get Vini. Great player when he wants to be, but lots n lots of baggage. Be interesting to see it pan out.

2

01 Aug 2026 14:37:09
I'm not sure Arsenal want to pay what Vini wants. It's pretty extortionate.

Also, Haaland might have that clause, but it's Madrid who can exercise it and right now, they don't want to.

Rodri is their target for this year.

I think Vini will run down his contract and then go to Saudi. He'd go this season, but as far as I know there isn't a Saudi club that wants to pay what Madrid want.

Genuine interest in Matias Fernandez-Pardo.

DjimiT.

7

31 Jul 2026 23:00:32
From whom?

3

31 Jul 2026 23:20:15
Djimi has mentioned a few things on here that have been correct. Maybe one to watch on the ITKs.

2

31 Jul 2026 23:53:57
TopAlfie1006, like his last 2 posts where he claimed the Barcola deal was a mess and that he was going to Arsenal? No offence, Djimi, all info is welcome and appreciated. Can't be right all the time.

9

01 Aug 2026 00:09:44
Ahh, possibly, maybe I misread. I thought he mentioned Mac going and Dio wouldn't sign. Then again, many people could possibly have said that.

2

01 Aug 2026 00:42:19
To be fair, Chewy, even though he has agreed terms, until he's signed other clubs could still step in. Marc Guehi only had eyes for Liverpool and had agreed terms, but look how that turned out.

Richard Hughes seems to be concentrating on Diaz instead of the glaring holes in Liverpool's current squad.

2

01 Aug 2026 01:09:23
Yeah, DjimiT sounds like a good one. This place is way too critical. The formula is simple. Say something optimistic and everyone loves you.

You can even say Diomande is still signing out spring stupid like that.

The slightest bit of bad news and everyone is down your throat calling you a fraud.

8

01 Aug 2026 05:22:39
Mbappe is signing for us, @Poting Passer

I just want to be loved.

8

01 Aug 2026 07:43:23
Respectfully Chewy, I did say Arsenal were in for Barcola but I also posted later that AI had spoken with him again, and Barcola remained convinced on the Liverpool project. Things change, and not everything is totally black and white.

DjimiT.

7

01 Aug 2026 08:15:35
Djimi, keep posting what you know or hear, it's all good.
Sick of this itk crap.
All rumours are welcome.

9

01 Aug 2026 08:56:01
DjimiT, must have missed that one, mate, I wasn't criticising you, I was just pointing out that Alfie's comment was a little wide of the mark. Keep up the posts.

DjimiT: Has his president not already said he is not for sale, even though he has reportedly handed in a transfer request?

Forgot to mention, you will remember I mentioned about CJ being one of a fee causing disruption last year.

The whole situation has dragged on for too long really, there are a few senior figures who want him to go. Iraola would rather he stays but that may change soon. I do expect him to move on. Its a shame but he's been unhappy for a while now for various reasons, an exit is probably the best for all parties now.

With regards to other players who were causing a fuss under Slot, well, 2 of them have left already.

15

31 Jul 2026 21:00:52
I think you'll find it was Slot that caused the fuss.

17

31 Jul 2026 21:28:30
Talking wham, jumping on the bandwagon or an attention seeker, claiming to be the first. Take your pick, mate. 😂

I could constructively take apart your post, but I will keep it simple. Slot was the main issue last year. If he hadn't blindly picked his faves and played him out of position, the issues with him wouldn't have happened. Jones was unhappy, and if speaking his mind and talking crap to others about Slot is being an issue, fine.

😂 Salah was a bigger issue last season, so was Macca, but you won't be talking crap about them, will you. 😂

There are other issues that are well known outside of the playing staff that have been going on for years. Last season was the first he caused actual issues with the playing staff. 😂

Don't know why people are so bothered about Jones leaving, he's absolutely bang average. Better players out there that we can attract.

32

31 Jul 2026 21:30:28
He's a squad player at best, he wants first team football and he won't get that at LFC.

31 Jul 2026 21:32:52
I thought everyone was welcome to share their info here.....

23

31 Jul 2026 21:45:07
Everyone is welcome to share what they want, Cbell, no one is saying they can't.

The problem comes when the info is already out there, been posted here and other platforms. Then claiming it as your own.

20

31 Jul 2026 21:47:41
Why is it a shame?

31 Jul 2026 21:52:01
Two people can be wrong at the same time, Fields.

I think most people have intuitively noticed that Jones has always had a bit of an attitude problem and too many times it has been dismissed as passion, grit or "Scouse swagger", whatever that is supposed to be.

Didn't Klopp admit in his documentary that he thought he wasn't a "nice guy" when he first met him? From fighting over penalties with Harvey Elliott in the youth team to scrapping on the field with England U21s, this nonsense has always been there with him.

You can forgive all that if he grows up, but if he doesn't, it's just evidence to make a judgement on his character. He isn't even good enough for it to be worth it.

In terms of playing out of position, it's literally his job. He wasn't played in his preferred position because we have better midfielders than him. I find it wild that a player of the calibre of Curtis Jones feels he has the right to turn his nose up at a place in the starting line-up because it isn't in his favoured position.

31 Jul 2026 22:02:37
Agree with @TheFields, and I'm glad, as an ITK, he calls it out.

I post rumours, and what I do know is they are not plagerised from anywhere else, or anyone else on the Internet.

I get my info from Dave, at the Dog & Gun, occasionally Stevo at the Fox & Grapes.

And, I have repeatedly, on numerous occasions, stated I'm not an ITK.

That said, Diomande is still signing.

Lads put the pitch forks away.
The club will handle any inappropriate behaviour where it exists.
If the player wants to leave, he should be helped to get a good move, we owe him that much in my opinion.
If his personality doesn't fit in with the manager's ethos, he will be encouraged to leave.

Let's not make too many assumptions, you don't get to that level without being competitive, and handbags happen all the time in sports teams.
I trust the club and the manager to sort it out.

12

31 Jul 2026 22:28:05
They can and it does happen, Babbity. I'm not and never have said he wasn't in the wrong with what he did and the way he has acted. It's well documented that he can be an ass, which seems to have reared its head again because Klopp made sure he never acted like that after that first meeting.

Players fight all the time over penalties, it's actually happened in live matches. So to me that has no relevance or is an indicator of a pain in the ass.

It's not his job to play out of position, that's like putting Isak at CB and saying that's his job when he moans about it. 😂 If one of those better players was playing like utter crap, he should be dropped for another player. You don't just continue to play the players because he's better than what you have, which is part of the reason we were crap last season.

Always knew you was a good egg, Jbig. 😂

17

31 Jul 2026 22:39:28
Slot's been gone 2 months, and Jones is still acting up, playing the Charlie big spuds. We can all see who the problem is.

8

31 Jul 2026 22:50:11
Certain players are indulged to a degree because of what they bring. CJ doesn't have that credit in the bank. If he is causing issues that no longer justify keeping him around the squad, then best for everyone to move him on. Needs to be done now to allow the new manager the best chance to mould a group he can trust and rely on.

6

31 Jul 2026 23:27:59
Only ITK's in the village syndrome. 😂 Get a grip lads.

6

31 Jul 2026 23:49:52
Get 'em, Fields!

5

01 Aug 2026 00:24:56
Always have the back of an ITK, @TF. Not to kiss ass, but because I appreciate all you lads do. You have the relevant trusted contacts and freely give that information on here. So it must be grating when someone clings to your coat tails and pretends they are an ITK and use information you have previously divulged, just to get more likes, or feel important, or whatever the reason may be - the fact is, it must be extremely frustrating for you lads who are ITK.

Keep up the good work because most people truly appreciate what you bring to this forum. It wouldn't exist without the likes of yourself.

We don't need anyone to tell us Curtis is a bad egg. We can clearly see it with our own eyes.

I've mentioned numerous times on here an interview last season with Curtis that still bothers me today. And I quote the man himself when he was questioned on why he holds on to the ball too long:

'But that's because I have so much trust in my ability. I wouldn't want to just have the ball, get pressed and then give it to somebody else who has to handle being pressed.

"I'd rather keep hold of the ball because I'm comfortable and slow the game down.

"If I can attract two guys and then release the ball, it gives somebody else more time on the ball, who maybe isn't as comfortable on it.

"That's what I try and do. You have to have an understanding of knowing each guy you're playing alongside."

His ego is literally writing cheques his ability can't cash and the problem is he truly believes it. that's why he'll never change and will continue to get caught on the ball and leave us wide open to counter attacks.

The very best players have immense talent but they also have something that Curtis Jones seems to lack. Humility. Sometimes you have to accept your flaws and work hard to improve them. That's difficult to do when you are so delusional and egotistical that you think your flaws are a strength.

I think Curtis is a decent squad player but based on what I've seen and heard his attitude stinks. It's not even conjecture at this point it's plain for all to see.

Get rid, Scouse or not he has no place in a cohesive team unit. The guy is a knob.

At least he doesn't invent some total smoke out his arse and then claim that his friend Dave told him, in a bid to gain credibility, then put down other posters.

4

01 Aug 2026 01:12:04
I think a few of you have been hitting the shandies hard tonight haven't you.

4

01 Aug 2026 05:43:10
Never put one person down on here @Potong Passer, not one - unlike yourself, clearly.

If you want to read regurgitated rumours whilst they claim it's there own, you're in the wrong place.

I didn't invent 'Dave', he's very real. We all know a Dave. And I certainly don't seek credibility. I would post far better rumours if I wanted to achieve that. Lastly, I couldn't give a toss what you think of me. I don't read or post on this forum for validity, and certainly not from you, unlike those people I refer to in paragraph 2, l

Have a lie down pal and relax a little.

John Barnes' mate "Dave" is actually Dunk from KopTalk's AI assistant.

JK, mate. Keep the posts coming.

01 Aug 2026 09:35:54
I remember when CJ was ready to take on the entire Everton squad by himself for their antics and their champion draw against us. That gives him all the cred he will ever need for me. There seems to be an anti-Red Scouser bunch around here, that I suspect are really Blues fans just causing a ruckus.

5

01 Aug 2026 09:38:11
John Barnes is God, this forum existed long before the ITK's came along.

2

01 Aug 2026 10:01:16
I'm the furthest from being ITK... but this CJ bashing surprises me. I saw that interview where he spoke about trusting himself to hold the ball and releasing others. I thought it was a great interview, and if you don't back yourself at this level you're screwed.

CJ does hold the ball well, including under pressure. Is he quick enough to release the ball when he can is a different question.

He has been in and around the squad long enough, and achieved enough, to be rated, not assassinated. There may be better out there, he may or may not be what the manager wants/needs, he might show frustration from time to time (essential in any elite sport)...

But bashing him in the way some fans on here are? Give it a rest.

01 Aug 2026 11:09:19
Curtis will read this thinking "what have I actually done wrong?" Most of us know fabuck all, yet people are desperate to jangle and chat pure shabite. You see people like this in work, as they love the drama and have nothing better going on in their lives.

What's happened since Slot has left for Jones to still be in a funk?

31 Jul 2026 19:45:46
Hi Diddly Ho,

I've heard that Real Madrid have threatened to walk away from Diomande after a change in demands from the player side.

It's expected that the deal will still go through though. Truly a shoddy team behind the player.

Curtis, as others have reported is back on the radar for Inter - they're shifting their focus to him now Stones has signed. Expect that will be wrapped up before our games back at home.

Sorry I don't have any information about incomings - excited to hear Barcola is basically done, thanks Carra - take care of yourself.

Diddly out

31 Jul 2026 20:00:18
I would not be at all surprised to see Madrid walk away from Diomande.

9

31 Jul 2026 20:01:51
No news about incomings? That's it, young man, no Bible stories for you tonight!

Jokes aside, appreciate the info, Ned. Interesting to see who we bring in if Jones and Macca leave.

9

31 Jul 2026 20:04:58
Why am I not surprised?! Cheers, Ned.

4

31 Jul 2026 20:52:42
Don't understand why Madrid went for Diamonde. Thought they were dead set on Olise even if it's next season.

2

31 Jul 2026 21:00:08
Hughes making sure we go into next season short in a number of positions.

2

31 Jul 2026 21:05:12
A certain ITK has been advising us all that Liverpool were after both Barcola and Diamonde, could this still happen?

6

31 Jul 2026 22:04:26
Would love us to get both, if I'm honest, two exciting, powerful, tricky wingers with pace to burn, and both really young.

5

31 Jul 2026 22:10:45
I've been advising that Diomande will still sign @CLEMENCE2, as I have from the very beginning.

Looks like I got Barcola wrong, mind. Damn you Dave at the D&G!

@Robbo, who you refer to, is a top man, and knows what he's chatting about. Don't trust my rumours, but certainly trust his.

That said, he's been completely honest, and said, although it is still possible, there is a high chance it just ain't happening.

Things move quickly, the ITK's can only give us the info they have at that point in time. And we'll appreciate it, too.

31 Jul 2026 22:43:53
This guy is giving me Naby Keita vibes, I don't want him at our club.

5

31 Jul 2026 23:06:18
I think we all realise every new recruit is a massive risk, especially with the sums involved, and especially as some of the players being discussed are so young. But ultimately, if we never take a risk, we wouldn't buy any players from across the world.
If either Barcola or Diomande (unlikely based on reports across the Internet) do arrive and then they rip apart every defence with their pace and skills, we'll all be right behind them and forgetting very quickly all the issues we have been worried about.

On the flip side, if it goes wrong, there'll be a lot of posters jumping on the bandwagon, criticising the club's recruitment.
Let's take a risk and hope it all works out, at the end of the day it's the club's money, not ours, if we don't try to improve we'll not win the league again in the near future.

4

01 Aug 2026 01:07:44
John Barnes is God.

Your comments are extremely frustrating.

You say you aren't an ITK, yet say things definitively as if you know and even above are "advising" about what is going to happen.

Clarify once and for all what you are about or start being more consistently transparent.

Instead of "advising" you say "I hope".

It's not difficult.

6

01 Aug 2026 06:24:45
I feel for you, @Chaka. Sorry, can't help myself sometimes.

01 Aug 2026 10:27:21
For Diomande, any deal with any club comes with a demand from one party for a "commission" payment. Which so far, it seems that no one has wanted to pay. Leipzig don't want the circus. Real are dishing the dirt to the press. Diomande apparently not in today's match squad. See if he goes off to Austria later... or heads to Spain.

31 Jul 2026 19:15:37
Hello Gents,

Me again. Atletico have shown interest in Macca, but they're not the only club. We had interest in 2 Atleti players until a while back, but I'm not sure if that's changed or not.

For now, Gakpo stays.

Thanks

9

31 Jul 2026 21:52:22
Gakpo, McAlister, Jones, Endo, Gomez, would happily see them out the door. Poor Hughes can't work on more than one transfer at a time though. Months and months flogging a dead horse. Why is that man still in a job at LFC.
