Hi Eds,
Any news on MacAllister? surely he needs to be shipped out with his performances. Do you think anyone will be coming in for him?

30 Jun 2026 16:42:49
Ship him off to Saudi.

30 Jun 2026 16:59:06
Hopefully, he has a very good World Cup and attracts some interest. Failing that, he just needs to knuckle down and work harder next season. He's not a bad player when he's fit and on form. He just hasn't been fit and on form for about 18 months!

14

30 Jun 2026 16:50:15
Ed001 what I would say he is not the most blessed with physical attributes like Sobs is so with Slots lack of training sessions I think it will effect him more than most.
I think after 2 seasons of Slots training Ed I think everyone starts a fresh I even effected Salah's fitness so that's saying something.

30 Jun 2026 17:38:56
I'd make nor accept zero excuses for him, Gringo and MKS. He's a Crier. Not an ounce of grit in him at all. How he got to where he is is beyond me. A below average midfield player, imo, and just doesn't have what we require, which is heart.

Brings little to the pitch and I'd suggest even less to the dressing room. Get rid as soon as possible for whatever is offered.

5

30 Jun 2026 17:42:30
He's had two decent games for us both v RM. Trying to impress them for his move. Don't hold your breath on him putting a shift in.

Mac-Allister, Szoboszlai, Ngumoha, Federico, Jaros (GK) contracts finish 30/06/2028, here we go again!

30 Jun 2026 18:15:00
MK, am with you. I don't think he is a bad player at all.
I don't like his play acting, but he is a good footballer when he is fit. But for 18 months he has not been fit, and that goes for the whole squad, and that is down to one man only, and that is Slot.

All the players, when he first came, still had Klopp's fitness left in them, but he destroyed all of it.
Frimpong was absolutely awful last season, but for me, he starts again fresh this season. Last season was a total right off.

6

30 Jun 2026 18:31:59
Grino, he's not a bad player mate. Football is rife nowadays with hyperbolic negativity. He lacks mobility and his play acting is pathetic at times. But he is a technically excellent footballer and he is pretty strong in the tackle when he's fit enough to get about the pitch. He's not become bad overnight. Ask the same people who think he's bad if they'd be happy to sell him on the cheap, and then you'll see they're just being dramatic calling him rubbish. Ironically, those people will say things like "he's crap, sell him to Real Madrid for £60m". It's like they can't see how much of an oxymoron that is. If he is so poor, why aren't we talking about him going to a team like Brentford for £20m? Probably because he's actually a pretty good player. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm hoping we move him on for a fair price because I don't like his attitude but if he stays, I'm not mad either.

30 Jun 2026 18:50:29
I gave Mac a tough time last season, as I did Konate and Gakpo too.

But then blamed Arne for the likes of Salah and Gravenberch being out of sorts.

I don't reckon we can pick and choose though. Every player was affected. Mac was great the season before, I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was Arne's slow boring anti football why he was so dreadful.

30 Jun 2026 18:53:45
Head turned, too many injuries, and wasn't interested. New manager or not, that's not the player anyone wants in a team.

1

30 Jun 2026 19:11:17
I do wonder if the World Cup had any bearing as well. If you look through the Argentina squad, a lot of the players had 'easy' seasons, either playing in lower leagues or spending a lot of time out with niggly injuries, etc. Just makes me wonder if he didn't put his all into the season to ensure he was fit and raring for the World Cup.

1

30 Jun 2026 19:24:58
Think he ends up staying. No one will pay what we'd want. Whether that's a good thing or not I don't know. Like Mk, I think there's a good player there but he was terrible last year and should have been benched.

0

30 Jun 2026 19:26:21
Everyone was bad last season.

0

30 Jun 2026 19:27:46
Sorry, Grino and MKS, you are both totally incorrect. AM may be technically gifted, etc, but he doesn't have what counts. Desire, commitment, heart, fight, never say die. Think about Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Gerrard; those are the midfield players that matter. When the chips are down, and you need to make your mark, you need players with the right mentality to get you there. AM is a million miles away from that level. I couldn't think of a worse shirker than MacAllister. You can have all the abilities in the world, but if you haven't got the balls, you can sit at home. Or on someone else's bench. Good riddance I say. Have zero time for him.

1

30 Jun 2026 11:27:56
I usually only post about the Liverpool Academy but I work in football and have contacts at various clubs. David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano are being fed a lot from PSG's side and I'd take that information with a pinch of salt.

What I've been told is that everything was agreed between Liverpool and Diomande but the agents are playing both sides to get the best possible deal for themselves and their client.

30 Jun 2026 12:01:06
How many itk's do we on the site now, 20+?

24

30 Jun 2026 12:20:23
Best possible deal or to rip off either PSG or LFC?

10

30 Jun 2026 12:44:23
Guys, forget about Yann, our next target will shock you all! Mark my words on this one.

10

30 Jun 2026 12:45:29
RD made me laugh - just passing stuff on. I've been involved since back when Macca was still here (with a different account). Could be completely wrong, so don't have me down as an ITK.

JLC, it's unfortunately what all agents do, but by the looks of it this one went a fair bit further than most.

Hoping for a Brandt - Salah style second option being better than the first.

YNWA.

23

30 Jun 2026 13:04:01
Thanks Sami.
RD, we need an official 'ITK ITK' so we can keep track of all the ITK's.

9

30 Jun 2026 13:05:41
RBG2121, Julian Alvarez it is then.

5

30 Jun 2026 13:06:13
If true, then it would be a nightmare having those agents around... they'll constantly be looking to get the boy a deal with Real etc after a couple of years with us.

If at all true, then I'd rather walk away from the deal.

8

30 Jun 2026 13:10:53
Sami, thank you for the positive news.

So we're ahead in the recruitment race for Diomande?

Besides that, I'm curious about the targets for this summer.

2

30 Jun 2026 13:13:19
RBG2121q

What's his current club?
Does he play in a three pronged attack?
Hope he's not too static.

5

30 Jun 2026 13:20:13
I am drafting an ITK spreadsheet. All contributions welcome.

I will be using Pivot tables to monitor accuracy.

May even use the XLOOKUP function to keep track of WAGS.

30 Jun 2026 13:22:13
Pure guess out of nowhere. Michael Olise.

7

30 Jun 2026 13:32:26
If it's gonna be a 'shock' signing ... he must play for one of these two:-

AC Milan
DC United.

18

30 Jun 2026 13:41:03
Sounds like the agents are doing their job!

5

30 Jun 2026 14:09:06
If Diomande wants PSG - fine. Move on. Go all in on Rayan.

8

30 Jun 2026 15:22:44
Is it R2-D2, RBG2121q?

2

30 Jun 2026 16:04:40
RGB2121q, I hope you mean shock in a good way, then Kvaratskhelia.

4

30 Jun 2026 16:12:27
"Guys, forget about Yann, our next target will shock you all! Mark my words on this one."

Shock >> caffeine >> Red Bull.

Mark words >> annotate >> which sounds like Antonio.

It's Antonio Nusa of Red Bull Leipzig, guys.

Ta.

4

30 Jun 2026 16:13:16
Unlike many wingers who struggle when switched flanks, Nusa is equally effective on both wings. Renowned for his explosive pace and direct playing style, he offers a significant threat on the counter-attack. His technical ability and flair have earned him the nickname "Norwegian Neymar."

2

30 Jun 2026 16:22:15
Is Rayan any good, Shipley? I must admit I've heard his name whilst watching Bournemouth, but he never stood out as a good player.

I've also made a point of watching him at the World Cup due to the amount of posters on here that keep bringing him up, and I've really not seen a player there.

Given he would cost so much, I'd expect him to really stand out for both Bournemouth and Brazil, but he just doesn't. Maybe I need to see more of him?

1

30 Jun 2026 16:23:36
If it's anyone who plays for PSG, we are only scoring big own goals.

Paying nearly all of diamondes fee for PSG.

Also accepting that he's not good enough for PSG, but good enough for LFC.

Improving PSG's squad, and taking their rejects for LFC squad.

Random guess for Nunez as mystery player.

3

30 Jun 2026 17:17:12
Rokki, I said all I know re Diomande situation. If it played out at the club I work for, I'd be rethinking it. Personally, I'm a massive fan of Ibrahim Mbaye - him plus Rayan or Endrick would likely come in cheaper than Diomande and Barcola, and it'd let us spread the squad cost across more of our positions of need.

2

30 Jun 2026 18:48:14
We've like to be on a par with PSG, but we are miles off them right now in a football sense. It's also very hard to compete with their finances and their Paris location when attracting players, and their management. They're probably the most attractive team to play for in world football right now.

I've seen Barcola a handful of times. He looks ok. Tbh I'd say the same about Diomande. They're both quick. Diomande is more powerful, Barcola has more craft. I'm not sure either is worth what's being asked and would rather we look elsewhere.

30 Jun 2026 10:57:16
Day-to-day updates are impossible, so I only share when I have solid info.

As things stand, the Szoboszlai camp are in no mood for fresh talks before the start of the season. Liverpool's offer is ~£250k (incl. bonuses), while the player wants ~£300k base. (I might've been the first to say talks had hit a wall while others were expecting a quick renewal.)

Same with Konate: wages were the issue. Liverpool's offer was around £220k/week, while the player wanted around £280k as a base salary (which now makes sense given the reported £400k/week at Madrid).

It's fair to say that Gakpo's deal has set a new benchmark for others.

Regarding Yan Diomande: I was told PSG was always the dream. Liverpool pushed hard and tried to convince him, but they were always a distant second choice.

Liverpool's offer was also nowhere near Leipzig's valuation. They floated a performance-based structure, while Leipzig wanted at least £98m upfront.

Yan's management was never the issue. If anything, they used Liverpool's interest to get PSG to the table. The player only wanted PSG. Top clubs don't usually pass on elite talent just because they don't like an agent.

Barcola is also far from done.

Cheers!

17

30 Jun 2026 11:51:17
I am in no mood for Szobo, tbh. He's become a right pouty show pony that shirks tackles of late.

20

30 Jun 2026 12:02:59
If what you're saying is true, we should walk from the Diomande deal. I don't want anyone not committed to the cause at the club. The same goes for Slobby. He can piss off to Madrid with the rest of the fashionista primadonnas.

20

30 Jun 2026 12:04:23
He may want PSG, but as I've said, more than once, PSG's days of paying big bucks without any due diligence are gone. Diomande is excellent, but certainly not 'elite' - and certainly not after one breakout season.

PSG will not waste 100m on a player with huge potential, warming the bench.

Because he has less than zero chance of removing Doue.

The fact remains, PSG don't need him. And they certainly don't want him at the current inflated price.

12

30 Jun 2026 12:17:20
If we're not first choice of any player, we should walk away. Irrespective of their talent.
LFC should be nobody's bridesmaid.

15

30 Jun 2026 12:50:55
We need an answer from Szobo this summer.

If we can't agree, I think we should look to sell/reinvest.

I would still prefer him to stay, but I'm sick to death of losing our top players on free.

17

30 Jun 2026 13:06:36
You can only sell if:

- A club agrees a price and
- The player wants to go to that club.

Otherwise you're stuck.

6

30 Jun 2026 14:01:18
Cheers Redbird, always appreciated, step away from Yan and ok to sell Szob

Sick of players taking the p*ss.

2

30 Jun 2026 16:06:55
Not much good news in there!

1

30 Jun 2026 17:00:21
It would be hard to find a world class player that only wants to move to Liverpool. Diomande wanted Liverpool and he also wanted PSG, but what he wanted the most was to fulfill the promise he made to his sister; to be number 1. They won the Champions League back to back. Their player won the Ballon d'Or, and they are coached by Luis Enrique. Why wouldn't he pick them? And, fair play to his agent. He did what every agent would do. Consider this: what is Barcola supposed to say when/if Liverpool bid for him while knowing he was our 2nd choice? This is just the way the game is played.

For me, the most important thing is when top players are moving, they consider Liverpool seriously. This time, a top player didn't pick us, but last season Wirtz did.
I don't think there is a world class left winger available in this market. We should try to get someone who doesn't cost more than 50mil, maybe El Mala or Summerville, and wait for a top winger to become available in the next windows. One of PSG's wingers will become unhappy next season and will want to leave. Maybe Kvaratskhelia. Who knows, there is some history there.
I would rather us buy a solid No 6 & a right back.

2

30 Jun 2026 16:42:03
Said it before, if the player won't sign then he goes in with the reserves and is made an example of to all current and potential new players, we have to do this or be the laughing stock of world football, don't give any cash to white crap bags in spain, nothing, theyr taking the mick out of us over and over.

No other business would just sit back and allow this to happen, we may pay wages for a none starter but he will be unemployable by the time his contract has finished, job done, you take this p##s we take the p##s.
ASAP would be nice then we have time to replace the girl.

3

30 Jun 2026 18:52:49
Szob would probably only go to Bayern, PSG, RM and Barca. I couldn't see he gets into the PSG team, but probably would with the others. It'll be a knockdown fee at the end of next season, or a free after that with one of the Spanish clubs.

0

30 Jun 2026 18:57:35
Shower of greedy c***s.

0

30 Jun 2026 19:15:28
Agree, Darren.
But that needs to be done 24 months out, not 12.
I can't see Dom doing the same as Ibou and Trent.

0

29 Jun 2026 21:11:13
Liverpool hold talks with Chelsea for Josh Acheampong.

As exclusively revealed here, we admire his versatility, seen as vital for any defensive signings this season.

Chelsea reluctant to sell, but if Liverpool are prepared to go high, this could change their stance.

10

29 Jun 2026 21:34:04
Uh...what?

17

29 Jun 2026 21:39:28
Good signing I reckon.

9

29 Jun 2026 22:05:15
He would get a lot of game time with us.

3

29 Jun 2026 22:07:01
Our dealings in the market seem fairly scattergun so far this summer. Players we were heavily linked with in the media, like Diomande and Palestra, seem to have passed us by. There was confidence on here as well that we would land both.

Quite a lot of new player links are now across the media, with less noise around the likes of Wharton, who again was linked heavily for months in the media and by a few posters on here.

Is this the Iraola effect, and we're moving to fulfil a different transfer requirement to fit his tactics, or are our transfer team struggling to land our long established targets?

5

29 Jun 2026 22:37:25
Don't pay too much attention to what's in the media.

It's pretty clear what positions we are looking at.

11

29 Jun 2026 22:52:52
I would like him a lot. Quality signing, in my opinion, if we can pull it off.

4

29 Jun 2026 22:59:09
Mentioned him the other day. He's been wanted for ages, but Chelsea is always reluctant to sell.

3

29 Jun 2026 23:17:53
Josh Acheampong would be a good signing for Iraola to work with: young, versatile, and ofc homegrown.

Just wonder if he would cost more than the £35m we got for Quansah...

4

29 Jun 2026 23:32:57
Overkill, the two players mentioned no doubt are massive talents, but if it's true on Diomande he has turned his attention to PSG, firstly, I can't blame him. We are coming off a mess of a season compared to PSG, who are current European champs, having done it back to back. They are a powerhouse.

But ultimately, in my eyes, I'd rather have 11 players who would run through brick walls for us than someone who has massive talent but will ultimately want to leave us when they get to their peak.

I have also always loved when we do out of the blue signings like Munoz so far or the best of all Fabinho.

13

29 Jun 2026 23:34:12
Chelsea will want £50m+ for him. Plus, they still hate us for nicking Rio.

2

30 Jun 2026 01:03:29
@Overkill, Munoz, Diomande and Barcola are players who are capable in multiple forward positions.

They seem to be the players that have been the most credible targets.

Everything else seems to be, at this stage.

1

30 Jun 2026 01:04:36
Hit enter too soon. Everything else seems to be speculation at this stage. Not sure that qualifies as scattergun.

4

30 Jun 2026 03:18:02
Maybe I've called it too early in the window that's true, I've got my doubts about our recruitment set up.

I'd expect a three or four man shortlist for every position we're looking to fill, and would think we could conclude those deals quite quickly given we've had time to lay the ground for them.

With right back, our connected posters said Palestra or Kayode, and that was after the Sunderland links in Jan, it's since moved on to other names. Acheampong may be a good player, but it seems like we're not getting our preferred targets.

1

30 Jun 2026 04:43:03
Overkill, are you new to the transfer market and the media? We'll be linked to 100s of players and every player that signs for every team will have been a rival's target, will have rejected Liverpool or United or Yeovil to sign for Madrid. Think Munoz was signing the contract at Newcastle, sure, and we just slid a contract under his pen. 💩

6

30 Jun 2026 06:53:30
If he costs £50m, then that's not the end of the world. We sold Quansah for £35m and Trent for £10m, plus saved wages of 2 players.

I'm in favour at £50m price.

5

30 Jun 2026 09:11:21
Munoz looks a good prospect. Hopefully we go on and secure our preferred signings for right back, right centre back, centre mid and left and right wing.

I'm hopeful your faith in our recruitment is rewarded, Kloppdo, I was referring more to the players linked on here by the ITKs which have previously been fairly accurate.

0

30 Jun 2026 11:13:25
Jacquet is our rcb. Judging comments from in the knows, the focus areas are wingers/forwards, cm and rb.

1

30 Jun 2026 12:15:26
£50m for a talented young lad, who's big, quick and competent on the ball, who can play both right back and right centre back competently, who is also home grown, seems fine to me, we're getting two positions covered for the price of one. That feels like a no brainer.

6

29 Jun 2026 19:29:13
Hi all,

Worth noting as I forgot to previously mention - Liverpool are deeply dissatisfied with Diomande’s representatives’ conduct. There is an understanding, internally, that a bullet may have been dodged in the long term should Diomande complete the move to PSG.

Despite agreeing personal terms with us, the wingers' camp has been quite unprofessional throughout discussions in the eyes of some.

39

29 Jun 2026 19:48:09
Should avoid any clients with Rocknation in the future, got the likes of Vini Jnr on their books, and that says it all.

US company started from rappers, doubt they have a clue what's best for their client in a football sense and more interested in how much money they can make.

32

29 Jun 2026 20:07:17
Blessing in disguise. Now quickly move on to other targets. El Mala and Barcola, and move on Chiesa. Means lots of talent across the front three. Gakpo stays unless he wishes to leave.

15

29 Jun 2026 20:12:36
The other targets don't fit the right. Rayan or Savinho would be next best.

5

29 Jun 2026 20:25:08
Savinho? Sometimes I wonder if we all watch the same sport.

32

29 Jun 2026 20:31:36
Sounds like a hard pass. Thanks for the info, Vic.

5

29 Jun 2026 20:34:10
You can't be serious about Savinho.

17

29 Jun 2026 21:02:26
Rocknation? Might be worth keeping on their good side if we are still looking at 2Pac for right back and Dr. Dre to replace the team physio.

4

29 Jun 2026 21:07:28
Nas was right, Jay Z's s***e.

19

29 Jun 2026 21:10:09
Gotta love how easily people switch without being 'itk' lmao. None of us are present during these negotiations. Everyone was waiting to see him sign on the dotted line yesterday and now there's competition, we're suddenly 'dodging a bullet'.
Wait til the kid actually signs. Whether that's for us or PSG.

6

29 Jun 2026 21:15:38
'RB Leipzig say Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande will remain at the club next season despite the 19-year-old reportedly choosing Paris St-Germain as his next destination. (Florian Plettenberg)'

Clearly, PSG didn't take a liking to his entourage either, if Plettenberg is to be believed.

8

29 Jun 2026 21:17:50
Yeah VV, Nas didn't get the Acclaim Jay Z got but he was 10 times the better rapper. These reports are not surprising as these guys like Jay Z and Roc Nation have tried to infiltrate American sports and represent a handful of clients but you hear similar shenanigans. I.

10

29 Jun 2026 21:19:28
Like I said. He was never going to PSG for a 100mil.

5

29 Jun 2026 21:34:16
I genuinely hope and wouldn't be surprised if this fool and his team negotiate themselves out of 2 massive deals this summer. Amateur hour.

13

29 Jun 2026 21:52:18
In fairness, Hughes is an amateur. He should have followed Slot out the door. Have no faith in him getting any players in we actually need.

5

29 Jun 2026 22:03:53
Dear God, not Savinho!!
He's possibly the worst player I've ever seen.
He's absolutely abysmal.

7

29 Jun 2026 22:16:45
Defo feels like we dodged a bullet. Everyone saying there is no one out there, but there is, that's what we have scouts for. Don't want no big time Charlie Chan's, that's where Klopp was great, his background checks, Hughes is just after the glory, me thinks, not arsed on that side, just the plaudits for getting big names.

4

29 Jun 2026 22:20:05
I don't think we're doing the right due diligence on the characters we're looking to buy, and part of that includes their representatives because they have so much influence.

Over the weekend, I heard some stuff about a couple of players we'd bought last summer, and their behaviour around the place.

It didn't fill me with hope that getting rid of Arne would sort all of our problems. We seem to be struggling in the market so far, although the World Cup, as everyone said, will be a factor.

2

29 Jun 2026 21:36:34
"If I ruled the world" is an amazing track. Bad is one of my favourite. I don't even like hip hop, but I love nas.

3

29 Jun 2026 23:16:09
I don't rate Savinho and I definitely do not rate El Mala.

2

29 Jun 2026 23:43:09
Has to be Rayan or Akilouche.

3

29 Jun 2026 21:37:46
Just to keep the conversation relevant @Ed01 do we have any interest in Nas? From Queens Bridge represent? lol

3

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - I think he is out of our budget mate.}

3

30 Jun 2026 09:37:13
Nas over Jay any day of course, but Jay-Z, as annoying of a person as he is (and I'm pretty certain he was involved in all the Diddy shenanigans), has at least two, if not three excellent records.

Reasonable Doubt, Vol. 1 and the Black Album are all classics. Of course nothing comes close to Illmatic, possibly the single greatest rap record ever made, and It Was Written. Okay, I'll stop sidetracking now lol

There is no chance in hell Savinho is the "worst" player you have ever seen, that is so over the top, it's actually stupid. The kid is 21 or something, and is not that bad at all, I can name 100s of worse players and so can you!

Industry sources suggest that Yan Diamonde's representatives have developed a reputation for being particularly demanding during negotiations. It is important to stress that this information is based on industry speculation and should be treated with a degree of caution.

According to these reports, Diamonde's camp has requested a substantial package of benefits as part of any potential move. Alleged demands include housing for members of his entourage, private air travel arrangements, and investment support for a proposed commercial venture in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Furthermore, sources indicate that Diamonde's representatives are committed to establishing an "athlete's hub" at any destination club. While details remain unclear, the project is believed to form a central part of their negotiations.

Separately, the FA has reportedly been canvassing opinions within the industry regarding the development and long-term sustainability of local talent and sporting organisations. There is speculation that this initiative may be linked to the "athlete's hub" concept being promoted by Diamonde's representatives, potentially through a sports foundation or another investment vehicle connected to the project.

As always, these reports remain unverified industry talk. While I am not typically privy to major stories of this nature, information occasionally finds its way through trusted professional contacts, and this is one such instance.

29 Jun 2026 17:41:00
That sounds god awful. Worse than the rumours around Rodrigo's demands last summer. What on earth is an athletes hub?

21

29 Jun 2026 17:42:55
Have heard of players/agents having this type of approach, just squeezing every last drop out of a club - usually they'll use tactics to push clubs further, e.g. "leaking" information to journalists to force a hand.

As far as I know, as of last week, we were just ironing out the small details in the offer to RB & personal terms didn't appear to be an issue. Obviously things change in football, but I wouldn't close the door on this just yet.

37

29 Jun 2026 18:02:46
More optimism! I'm gonna believe you! 😊😊🥳👍🏻

5

29 Jun 2026 18:05:19
These demands seem so different from the player who wrote that heartfelt letter to his sister. Hopefully, no one's smearing the young lad to sway him one way or the other.

16

29 Jun 2026 18:10:06
If he wants to start an athletics hub, maybe use the multi millions he'll make from his signing on fee and wages to do it. Not sure why the club needs to fund that too.
Or ask for more money if you don't feel it is enough.

13

29 Jun 2026 18:17:12
That surely means every club with an interest, will be required to fulfil the obligations also, ye missed out the free Easter eggs and a hamper each at Christmas also. Load of tosh!

4

29 Jun 2026 18:22:21
Need to walk away from this, it has all the makings of a disaster.
He's 19 with one good season, and if these demands are right, it's red flags for me.

13

29 Jun 2026 18:27:23
No thanks, let's move on. I thought we were getting a hard working kid from humble upbringings who would relish the opportunity to prove himself. This is starting to sound like that Neymar contract.

18

29 Jun 2026 18:28:10
This post reads like someone pumped in all the rumours of Diomande in this page for the past 24 hours into Chatgbt and asked it to provide a rewritten summary.

10

29 Jun 2026 18:30:12
Thanks, Flanders.

3

29 Jun 2026 18:49:00
Why all this focus on Diomande?
The guy doesn't prefer LFC and his demands are sky high. No evidence that he is worth the asking price either.

We need a RW - so why don't we turn our heads towards players like Elanga from Sweden or Conceicao from Portugal?
Both are excellent RW's, and should be much cheaper alternatives than Diomande.

5

29 Jun 2026 18:54:05
Can't see Enrique putting up with all that s****. He got rid of all the big time Charlie's at PSG. If any of this is remotely true, we've dodged a bullet there. Don't get me wrong, though, hopefully it's woke the transfer committee up not to mess around so much and drag out transfers, allowing rivals to step in.

We knew how much RBL wanted, yet massively low balled. If we don't want to get dragged into bidding wars, then get the business done quick. Unfortunately (unless it's us), the selling club dictate the fee.

8

29 Jun 2026 19:21:40
And this is what is wrong with football, ladies and gentlemen. Leeches, that's all, people like this are people making money from others for nothing. Kid has all the talent in the world and will be a great player, but will be ill advised through his footballing journey.

He's not the only one, it's more and more common these days.

8

29 Jun 2026 19:25:53
Andoni knows Rayan inside out!

Rayan knows what Andoni's 4-2-3-1 formation is inside out, i.e. the "diamond" (Stevie Gerrard's favourite diamond) is not in the midfield, but the last third of the pitch!

Rayan ticks all the boxes for the new manager and Rayan, the player himself, also, but importantly the team as well!

If Diomande had joined, would he have been able to adapt to Andoni's formation as easily as Rayan? This could turn out for LFC as a "blessing in disguise" (as one door closes, a better one opens!).

I cannot see anything amiss with this possible front three: Hugo, Isak, Rayan? As Jan Molby often says in his Podcasts, unplayable on their day!

5

29 Jun 2026 19:44:53
Dhfc

Totally agree.
A young talented lad, having his head filled with
all sorts of garbage and being surrounded by 'leeches' as you say.
People who use others as a mere cash cow in this money driven world.

2

29 Jun 2026 21:39:42
It's not Diomande making the requests. He's a young lad with a bunch of parasites, who are currently representing him, allegedly making absurd contract demands.

6

29 Jun 2026 21:43:39
LFC & PSG should walk away. Don't think anybody else would be interested.

1

29 Jun 2026 22:26:16
Be interesting what the sentiment would be if we actually signed this guy. I guess if he was a world beater, everything would be forgotten. It's got bad vibes, though, a bit similar to the Isak deal, and feels like we should have walked away from negotiations.

0

29 Jun 2026 22:51:08
Agents have always been leeches - I don't know why the buying club has to pay agent fees, surely that should come from the player himself?

4

30 Jun 2026 01:07:34
@Overkill, I'd love it if he came. The stuff going on about potential transfers is out of his control.

2

30 Jun 2026 13:46:12
To be fair to the kid, I'd separate his agents' actions from his as a person.

1

30 Jun 2026 16:35:53
Hoffa - Elanga... Seriously?! He's absolutely horrific. He couldn't get into a dreadful Utd team.

1

29 Jun 2026 13:10:13
Schjelderup rumours going around. Anyone know much about him. LW, plays for Benfica & Norway. Not seen anything posted, so thought I would ask here. Cheers.

1

29 Jun 2026 13:24:59
His past issues make him a hard no for me.

19

29 Jun 2026 13:21:06
The only thing I know about him is he has a CP conviction.

9

29 Jun 2026 13:31:43
No thanks.

13

29 Jun 2026 13:42:13
Oh, OK. I didn't know about any such issues. Better give him a swerve then, despite rumours of current interest from LFC.

8

29 Jun 2026 13:57:38
Me neither, till very recently, KBL. You were looking at this purely from a sporting perspective. We all get that.

8

29 Jun 2026 15:11:09
Never heard of him.

2

29 Jun 2026 15:28:56
Thanks,
Now I have the term "cp conviction" in my google search history... . 😂

13

29 Jun 2026 16:19:33
Schjelderup has potential, but as for now, he is an average player not good enough for a big club like Liverpool. He is even behind Nusa on the national team of Norway.

Antonio Nusa, on the other hand, that is a player to consider.

1

29 Jun 2026 18:51:14
What are the issues about Schjelderup from Norway?

0

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - he shared an explicit video of a minor and was caught and convicted.}

7

29 Jun 2026 18:58:49
He shared a photo of 2 underage boys, apparently. Swerve that one.

2

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - I thought it was a video?}

3

29 Jun 2026 19:46:50
He was convicted of sharing a sexual video involving minors last year, for an offence committed in 2023.

He admitted to forwarding a Snapchat video and was given a 14-day suspended sentence. Very lenient, especially given that he also admitted that he realised the victims were under-18 before sharing.

I wonder if being an international footballer had anything to do with this?

Hope we stay well clear. He's fine in Benfica Red. Or if he wants to move, I'm sure they'd have him at Marseille.

6

30 Jun 2026 10:57:15
International footballer has nothing to do with it, the age of consent in Norway is 16, it's 14 in Germany and so on, not every 18 year old hooking up with a 16 year old is a pedofile, they all do it! JeeZ.

0

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - he was 19 wasn't he?}

0

30 Jun 2026 11:53:04
I honestly don't know ed, I think what he did is disgusting don't get me wrong but he got convicted for sharing the video not for the act itself! Young people do dumb stuff, I used to live in a City in Norway called Notodden, and it was shocking (30/40 year olds hooking up with 13 and 14 year olds) I was 15 at the time, many times thinking their dad was there to pick them up from school just to find out it was her boyfriend, manfriend is more accurate and it was public and everybody knew.

Insanity

29 Jun 2026 12:46:29
Seeming as Carra, Robbo and VG have said something. I thought it best to chime in with my 2p worth.

A deal was agreed in principle with RBL and contract details were agreed. Diomande then said his preference is PSG. With a deal being agreed in principle, PSG will have to match it. They can afford it and will pay it knowing they will get a big chunk of it back with the Barcola sale. It's pretty much down to the player and at the moment it looks like PSG will be his destination. Things can and do change tho, it's not fully dead in the water.

That being said Barcola was seen as the main alternative all along.

We have had interest in him going back before he signed for PSG. A deal for him is seen as less complicated as the one for Diomande, this is mostly down to Diomande's new management team.

I've had a couple of meetings with Diomande's management team recently (not about him) and to say they are a bunch of clowns is an understatement. They have a US centric view on football, they want to move like they do in US sports trading. It's going to rub a lot of clubs the wrong way. Best to steer away from any player regardless of how good they are if they are represented by them.

61

29 Jun 2026 13:14:36
TheFields, thanks for adding the context as that is helpful. I mean, in terms of the PSG interest and Diomande's preference, perhaps swaying the deal.

Also, think that football transfers are going to be more and more the way you describe.

Important to stay ahead of the curve and be bringing in players before they get to that point. We've never really been the kind of club that attracted that kind of ego / enterouge anyways.

Regarding the player.

No matter how much potential he has, $100mil pound on potential was going to be a massive gamble.

We gambled a British transfer record fee on a sure-fire Isak. Sure, the injuries etc. But it is yet another example, that spending isn't the silver bullet.

If it really is time to move on from Diomande then cool, let's move on and see who else we can bring in.

We still need another attacker, maybe two if Gakpo does eventually leave us.

16

29 Jun 2026 13:23:55
@TheFields, Would totally agree on absolutely avoiding that management team, given their reputation, and it appears your experience confirms that.

Diomande appears to be a fantastic prospect on the pitch, but there must be serious considerations made about issues off the pitch.

9

29 Jun 2026 13:27:32
Cheers, Fields. That sounds extremely plausible to me. We move onto Monsieur Bradley Barcola.

It certainly seems he divides opinion, but if he is the guy. He is the guy. Knowing Iraola and wingers, he'll be elite after 2 training sessions.

8

29 Jun 2026 13:22:48
Cheers fields, not surprised about that last part at all. As I said yesterday, the whole thing feels like a con, especially with Diomande's claims of his father being a lifelong supporter of whatever team seems to suit him at any given moment. I've no interest in that sort of nonsense. Major Nigerian prince email vibes If we're being messed around, we should walk away.

11

29 Jun 2026 13:35:03
Last time we were messed about like this was with Caicedo. Everyone was very upset here at the time but it was a blessing we didn't sign him in all honesty.

8

29 Jun 2026 13:37:02
The more I think about it.
Isak upfront.
Gakpo Wirtz Szobo behind him with Rio and Harvey on bench to rotate.

Gravy and (a destroyer baller midfielder) behind looks pretty good to me with Macca, Nyoni, Jones to rotate.

Let's not overthink it and actually add that midfield destroyer which is the actual need of the hour. Not Barcola, not Diamonde.

Sort the midfielder out first.

Thank heavens we didn't overspend on a player that wasn't needed and now solve real problems that actually improve us.

Then we need to replace Vvd. Ideally this season we can see how Jacquet and Leoni Parmesan work out. Then take that decision next year.

We kind of don't need to overthink this. Just one midfielder (top tier) and decent RB solves a lot of issues for us.

4

29 Jun 2026 13:38:36
After The Fields' excellent explanation, I think we should walk away from the Diomande Circus and focus on a player who has a mind of his own and really wants to join us.
I'd be happy with Barcola. I'm sure Iraola will improve him even more.

12

29 Jun 2026 13:39:08
On a separate note, I really don't want to help fund Diomande to PSG by pursuing Barcola lol.

For real tho, I'm not totally enamoured by Barcola in any case, but that would be the ultimate slap in the face hahahahaha.

11

29 Jun 2026 13:47:12
Jay-Z was heavily involved in the negotiations, apparently.
We all know the potential consequences for the move/player when agents act like c***z.

5

29 Jun 2026 14:02:37
Taurus, I don't get Caicedo statement. I think he would have been great in our midfield.

11

29 Jun 2026 14:04:21
@Liver_La, You'd prefer a 'player who 'has a mind of his own' eh? Isn't that what Diomande is doing?

1

29 Jun 2026 14:04:55
Faithinworks, fully with you on that one, mate, I really like the look of Mika Godts to be honest. Now I've only seen highlight reels as I don't watch Dutch ball but he looks a talent, he put up serious numbers this season, more than Diomande, and could be brought in for less than half the price.

4

29 Jun 2026 14:07:41
I'd also step away from the Barcola deal, let PSG be stuck with him... vastly overrated for me.

13

29 Jun 2026 14:08:39
If Diomande does not want to come, I don't really think he is the sort of player we want moving to PSG over us to sit on the bench.
I've only watched him a couple of times in this World Cup and he looks nothing special. He looked very average against Germany, first touch did not look great, looks like another Sancho to me.

I would rather have the right winger from Bournemouth who turned us down, obviously not wanting to play second fiddle to Salah, shows how he thinks.

9

29 Jun 2026 14:14:12
Not bothered at all, this guy would have been doubled up on straight away, and without space can't do his fancy step overs and jinks past defenders, wouldn't give PSG any of our cash to help soften the cost of this twit.

Move on to players who have proven records that can do a job in similar league to ours, experience needed now, not more youngsters for the future.

5

29 Jun 2026 14:14:18
WDW 1V

I very much doubt it.

1

29 Jun 2026 14:17:25
So Diomande is happy to move to PSG where he has less than zero chance of removing Doue as 1st choice on the right wing. He would mostly be playing in a farmers league some weeks, if lucky, with little chance of making the starting 11 in the CL.

Diomande wants to be the main man on the right in a top team playing CL football week in, week out. He doesn't want to sit on the bench during big CL games, twiddling his thumbs.

Liverpool can guarantee him gravitas of top dog at the club, a sure fire starter in all the big games in the best league on earth. He agreed a contract with Liverpool. Liverpool agreed a fee in principle with RBL. Liverpool continue in discussions with RBL around payment structure.

'Rumours' of Diomande's preference are just that. PSG have not made an offer and will not waste 100mil on a player who won't play big games, even with the Barcola fee. Again, just 'rumours' of discussion between both parties.

The Barcola deal is completely seperate to said transfer above. It isn't a scenario of one or the other, it is the intention to get both. Liverpool have been admirers of Barcola for sometime. He isn't happy at PSG and has (currently) stated his preferred team would be Liverpool. So Liverpool are in contractual talks with the player via management team.

That is where I believe we are at, in my uneducated opinion.

4

29 Jun 2026 14:40:37
Thanks for the good information in America, Fields.

If Diomande's trip to PSG is likely.

What target are we going to target?

I think we need to reinforce other positions in the transfer market this summer, but I'm curious about the central midfielder, right fullback, and other targets!

1

29 Jun 2026 14:48:51
I don't think I'm the only one, but I really do not want Barcola forget that he is lw that has played most of his career in that position. I just don't see a player there, he has buckets of pace, but that's where it stops for me.

His end product is woeful, and at his age he should be showing signs of improving it. I would love Liverpool to walk away, re-assess and find the right target for the rw rather than try and make a square peg fit a round hole.

6

29 Jun 2026 14:50:08
Cheers, Fields.

Yes, this is similar to what ITK space wrote earlier that I pasted on discussions.

Have to wait and see, but looking unlikely. 😭

0

29 Jun 2026 15:15:32
Cheers, TheFields, for spilling all the necessary tea re: YD's transfer to PSG.

As for his management team, I am not surprised with the way you describe their MO. They are trying to put an American marketing spin on an industry that they know very little about, esp.

when they are trying to market their talents. Seems they have been taking "very good advice" from Todd Boehly and his Chelsea cast of clowns.

2

29 Jun 2026 15:20:16
John Barnes, also worth considering the way the PSG "brand" is viewed by people in the States. They are seen as a glamor club in a glimmering city. The people working with this lad know nothing of footballing culture or heritage. They are the ones pushing him there.

3

29 Jun 2026 15:09:00
Lads best keep stum on Diomande until he either signs for us or PSG other wise if he does sign for us you will all look stupid with your comments.

7

29 Jun 2026 15:45:50
Don't understand why we're not looking into the South American market. Also, Brazil seem to churn out a steady stream of talent. Is it harder to get the work permits? Must be something stopping us tapping into these players. We need to start picking up the
Next v juniors at starting prices, not the finished top end prices, and to long term contracts to stop foreigner clubs poaching.

Vickery seems to be knowledgeable in this area of the globe, get him on our payroll...

3

29 Jun 2026 15:51:14
Darren A, smaller clubs like Brighton and Bournemouth offer almost guaranteed first team football, which helps with the WP process. All of our younger recent acquisitions from South America we bought as prospects, so most ended up getting loaned out to meet the WP requirements.

3

29 Jun 2026 16:39:26
Carry, based on your sources, do we believe we have now missed out on Diamonde, or is there a slim chance that we may still be successful.

1

29 Jun 2026 17:33:34
This US management team, who are they and who else do they manage?

0

29 Jun 2026 18:01:51
Roc Nation. I believe they also represent Vinicius Jr.

3

29 Jun 2026 19:28:30
Ta, PB. A nation of prima donnas.

29 Jun 2026 20:20:23
Can I just say one thing?
What is all the fuss about this guy?
From what I have seen, I prefer any of these over him.
#1. Bukayo Saka. Arsenal FC - 24 years old. ...
#2. Bryan Mbeumo. Manchester United - 26 years old. ...
#3. Estevao. Chelsea FC - 19 years old.

...
#4. Antoine Semenyo. Manchester City - 26 years old. ...
#5. Pedro Neto. Chelsea FC - 26 years old. ...
#6. Mohammed Kudus. Tottenham Hotspur - 25 years old. ...
#7. Amad Diallo. ...
#8. Noni Madueke.
And they all have Prem experience.

0

29 Jun 2026 22:55:20
Club needs to pull the offer and walk away now. Don't think Barcola is good enough myself either. Better to wait until January when Rayan has an active release fee, I think.

0

30 Jun 2026 09:40:19
Langland, bar Estevao, none of the players you have listed are really a patch on Diomande, who has the potential to become a Ballon d'Or winner in a matter of years. Of course Semenyo is a fantastic player who I'd have loved to have had at Liverpool.

Diomande is in a way somewhat similar to Semenyo in terms of graft and unorthodox style, but his ceiling is much higher.

0

30 Jun 2026 11:35:08
Imagine, if we just went and got Semenyo when we had the chance *crying*.
Lol.

29 Jun 2026 12:02:55
Hi all,

In light of doubling down on Barcola, I figured I could give you all a little more context on the deal and what I understand to be true.

Liverpool have been in constant contact with Barcola’s representatives since early 2025. At the time, the player was happy to see how his future at PSG looked before making any decision.

At the end of last season, it became clear to the player following an impasse in contract discussions and a lack of play time that a move was in his best interests. Arsenal have also positioned themselves, though considerably later than we have.

Barcola informed the club of his desire for a move after direct talks with Enrique and the board.

PSG are happy to move him on, hence why they are likely to sign Alikouche and Diomande.

As I understand it, since communicating his intent to leave, Barcola has made us his preferred destination and Liverpool remain in talks with his representatives to finalise personal terms. This is the major hurdle, as agreeing a price with PSG would not be extremely difficult.

My confidence stems from his assurance, through his agency, that Anfield is his destination of choice. Like all things however, nothing is guaranteed in football.

41

29 Jun 2026 12:16:13
Good info. Cheers, Victor.

4

29 Jun 2026 12:42:56
Thanks VG. I can't wait for all this drama to end. I am genuinely excited to see Iraola work with the players we already have and improve them. Signings are a great way to improve a squad, but we now have a coach who improves almost every player he has.

Personally, I can't wait to see what he will do with the likes of Elliott, Morrison, Nyoni, Bajcetic, Bradley.

8

29 Jun 2026 12:50:19
Cheers, VG.

I might be one of the few that doesn't rate Barcola at LW and even less on the RW.

thekoparmy - I can predict what Iraola will do with the likes of Bajcetic and Bradley. It starts with "I" and ends with "Y".

4

29 Jun 2026 13:03:00
I agree, Fly, he will intensify them. 😊

3

29 Jun 2026 13:13:10
It seems like Diomande was in such demand, as he is a powerhouse winger that has pace, scores and creates goals, but also has the grit to press and retrieve the ball at both ends of the pitch.

Gakpo and Rio aren't great at pressing and are both a touch lightweight and soft when it comes to defending.

Adding Barcola to that list would leave Munoz as the only winger that puts a shift in to press and win possession back.

Although, maybe Iraola could get more from them all in that regard.

Barcola is talented and would be a great addition amongst a set of 4 wingers with varying attributes, but at least one powerhouse winger is sorely needed. Having one on each wing would be perfect in the Premier League.

1

29 Jun 2026 13:40:15
Do you want me to say something you folks won't like, but once again is actual truth of the situation?
You folks, deep down, know why Diomande, Barcola and others won't join us, but we are looking the other way because it's a bit pitiful and unfair.
But we know why they ain't joining, don't we?

1

29 Jun 2026 14:00:55
Quite a mixed bag of info from all our itk's.
Carra stands by what he has said.
Robbo believes he will sign.
The Fields says it's PSG.
Victor also says PSG.
So, 2 think he comes and 2 think he goes to PSG.
Me personally, I think he goes to PSG, but I guess until it's announced, we won't know.
Just want to say to all the itk's, your info is much appreciated, and, as some have already said, stuff like this changes in football all the time, so not everyone will be right.

If he does go to PSG, he obviously sees it as a more attractive project. That's no one's fault, because they give info here, it's down to the player.

5

29 Jun 2026 14:09:12
@Thirstforwirtz, if you have an opinion, why don't you actually say what it is rather than some nudge, nudge, wink, wink cryptic waffle?

13

29 Jun 2026 14:23:09
Actually I'd say Carra, Robbo, The Fields, Victor have all been spot on, Diomande was our priority, we did agree personal terms, we did agree a fee in principle with RB. What no one can predict is, after agreeing personal terms with a player and a fee with the club, that the player will come out in the 11th hour and say I prefer a move to PSG. The only split is whether the PSG comments came from the agents to force better terms from us,
for them, or from the player via the agent to make PSG make their move.

Either way, the US management team are not making many friends in football circles, and for a 19 year old player with clear potential but only really one good senior season under his belt, you could argue his agents may not be doing him any favours so early in his career in playing a club like Liverpool to get his preferred move. But for the "itk's" they have all been spot on in passing on the facts of our interest and negotiations...

3

29 Jun 2026 14:36:43
Thank you, Victor.

If you're after Barcola instead of Diomande.
