Wouldn't have been a bad option being prem proven, a Scouser and a strong presser, but would have to be the right price. For me Barca have overpaid, time will tell on that front! Not convinced LW is our priority with Gakpo and Rio taking that spot. Badly need a RW and a flexible player who can play centrally or across the front 3. Dream scenario is Diomande and Barcola, but I don't see that happening. For me RW, RB and CM are an absolute necessity!

Earlier I spotted Slot on the beach at Costa la liga doing keepy ups with a satsuma. He got to four, slipped on his arse and sacked a jellyfish.

A little while later I met him at bar entertainment. He reeked of calamine lotion, was a bit fidgety but appeared up for a chat.

A slow ponderous mind numbing conversation ensued, him being seriously defenceless manoeuvring sideways as my every query got a bums rush.

His last comment before leaving (hopefully 🙏) was that he’s become totally fed up with the negativity and constant questioning (especially on Wednesday’s by his own hired help), so could I recommend him a discreet window cleaner.

I've seen nothing from Slot that makes me think he can get the best out of certain players like Wirtz, Isak, Kerkez and Ekitike, never mind adding new players to the first team.

I can't believe the club is letting this develop into a car crash.

People need to realise that Edwards and his stats are heavily influencing Slot's tactics. Collectively, they believed that they could solve the Klopp burnout effect by using data and changing how and when energy is expended. They thought they could use data to be a step ahead of the curve, which is partially why FSG agreed to spend the way they did - a whole new way of approaching and structuring the way a football team works.

Edwards has been given total control and has been able to dictate more than just who we sign, and he really believes he has All of the answers.

There is so much more riding on this than meets the eye. Slot was the yes man who agreed to go along with this technological revolution, which has so far backfired spectacularly.

Edwards has one more year to prove that he knows more than the best managers, and that his ideas are not the product of an ego gone ferral.

What's this technological revolution you speak of?

We've been making data-driven decisions before we even had computers. There's only so many stats you can actually measure. Seriously, where's the revolution, what's the 'new technology', and what new data is it analysing?

Is there any actual evidence for this claim other than reading into the words used in pressers?

I'm honestly asking because I feel like there has to be some reason why they wouldn't sack Slot when he's lost the fans, some players, results are terrible, and he has no clue on how to improve us. If there is any evidence to this claim of Edwards overseeing a revolution, it could make sense, but I have a hard time believing people at the club would blow up a successful formula on a revolutionary theory.

I couldn't care what Slot and VVD say, the notion they're employing Edwards' supposed tactics is farcical. Can't we just say that Slot has lost the plot and that's it.

We have one that doesn't quite fit that model MacA.... prob would fall over and feign injury in an under 8s match tbh.

And FM is right. The season did only end 3 days ago. Calm TF down just because MU sign Ederson and we haven't signed anyone yet. The most glaring issue is not transfer related.

So we got outrun in 34/38 league games this season. 5 point away against the top 11 sides so the other top 10 with us in it. So only 1 away win against to top half of the league. Don’t want to know what our goal difference was.
The so called stats people need to look at these statistics because if Slot stays in charge no matter who we sign we won’t get the start we did last season and we will be bottom half relegation fighting and without any true leaders in the team I think is a fight most won’t have the stomach for.

You see it, I see it, and many other fans see it as well. Keeping Slot will be to the detriment of LFC, and will set us back years. He should have gone after Plymouth spanked us in the FA Cup last season, but the owners decided to give him 400 million quid, only for us to get worse. If he stays, it will be beyond a joke and a travesty.

That said, I think now that the season has ended, we should show a bit of patience and see what the outcome is over the next few weeks.

Everything with regards to what should be happening (Slot and Bill & Ben getting the sack), may very well be underway, and is just a case of waiting for everything to fall into place. All this anxiety over the situation isn't healthy.

Let's see what comes, and if and when he still remains for the new season, then we can deal with it then.
