From what i'm hearing we are favourites to sign Bouaddi, can any of the Ed's or ITKS confirm?
14 Jun 2026 21:47:50
All I've read online is we have been in talks. Arsenal and PSG are favourites. Apparently he would like to stay in France but the club prefer a sale to the Prem. He would represent a better deal at the £60 quoted. Looks like we only wanted to spend that on either Scott or Wharton.
14 Jun 2026 21:57:08
Hearing from Indy, I imagine, as Ornstein and Romano have mentioned it.
14 Jun 2026 22:03:34
Cheaper than Alex Scott.
14 Jun 2026 22:20:09
'From what I'm hearing' = Read on Twitter.
14 Jun 2026 22:50:40
It's a rumours site, @Chewy.
14 Jun 2026 23:02:42
Word is he wants to move to PSG as the next step. Not sure how much he'd play there with the MF they have.
He'd also not be first choice at Arsenal.
He's a punt, whatever way you look at it, although 40m less than Wharton, although Wharton is a known quantity.
15 Jun 2026 00:33:27
It is West Derby, but too many people on here like to word things as if they're ITK. Typing "I read on x" is just as easy as anything else, yet many people make the conscious decision to phrase things a little more ambiguously.
15 Jun 2026 00:34:12
60m seems a bit high, prices are crazy right now. I would've thought 40-45m would be more appropriate for an 18yo with 1.5 seasons in France.
15 Jun 2026 07:02:14
My thoughts as well, Chewy, no problem with sharing news off of Twitter, but just say, Indy posted or Romano posted or whatever, rather than... "I'm hearing this" or "what I've heard is" no need for all the cloak and dagger!
I'd understand if they're actually "in the know" and can't share that info, totally understandable, but if it's just something you've read, mention where you've read it.
👍🏻
15 Jun 2026 07:02:58
Wage and fee inflation in football is mad. Whatever a value was 12 months ago for an incoming player add £10-20m. Same the year before.
15 Jun 2026 07:06:08
@chewy, I'm guessing that's a dig at me? Let me tell you I don't do social media, never had Facebook, Twitter or X accounts. All my information I get is from an agent of a current England player, plus I also know someone who works behind the scenes on MOTD, so before you start accusing people of where their info comes from, maybe think, or even better, ask.
{Ed078's Note - popcorn at the ready.
15 Jun 2026 05:31:45
But he's passing on what he's seen just like 90% of people on here, that's the beauty of this site it's always been weird and wonderful bits of info no matter where it comes from. we've had window cleaners, dog walkers, Scouse wives, mums of players. let's not call someone out for trying to sound like they're in the know. truth is there's only a very small number of people who seem to get things on the nose. so wind your neck in because you come across like you wish you was in the know but because your not your calling people out for passing info on regardless of where it's from.
it's not that deep chewy it's a football runours site mate, the guys created this to have a laugh and share information and that's what makes this site work. so to anyone who has any info keep passing it on. keep up the good work Eds and all posters welcome on here 👍
15 Jun 2026 07:30:32
Is it really that important for people to actually post where they get their info from?
It's a rumors site after all.
I hope you keep posting, Racey... I appreciate any info that gets shared, and don't really care where it comes from. We will never control the outcomes, so why bother about it?
15 Jun 2026 08:32:39
Maybe Chewy should vet all posts before they are released.
Oh, wait, it is a rumours site.
Do I believe every rumour is gospel? No. But I still enjoy coming to the site and reading all manner of posts.
15 Jun 2026 09:00:17
Since when did we have to let everyone know where they get the info.
Does Carra, Robbo or Fields say where they get their info from?
Grow up Chewy
15 Jun 2026 09:21:17
Another thought on the matter of whether posters are ITK or not. When someone on these pages asks if a rumour relating to a particular player is likely to happen, it creates a talking point.
People will respond with:
That would be a great signing, just what we need. Or.
Wouldn't go anywhere near him, he is not good enough for us and is overpriced.
It then opens up a host of opinions.
15 Jun 2026 09:53:59
From what I've heard, people on here are getting moody with people who say from what I've heard or I've just seen. Don't shoot the messenger, cause it's just what I've heard.
15 Jun 2026 10:43:20
From what I've heard on the grapevine that you can just hammer people for posting on a rumours site. Source? Direct from my sausage thumb 👍🏻 😂😂
15 Jun 2026 11:38:35
I'd only ever heard of him because FPF has been recommending him on here for over a year. I was thoroughly impressed with him against Brazil, though. He made Paqueta, Guimaraes, and Casemiro look like they were old ex-pros in a Soccer Aid game.
They had absolutely no answer to his defensive work rate and ability to drive forward. He schooled them, and they're not as awful as he made them look, almost single handedly.
15 Jun 2026 12:41:21
If it's a rumour, what's the issue with saying something like 'Ornstein reckons ...' or 'according to the Fat Kid from Bolton', etc.
If it's an opinion, just stick IMO at the start of a post.
Just saying '(insert player's name) is signing for us' or X player is going to cost us £100m' just sounds like made up stuff.
In this instance, if @Racey had cited a source, @Chewy wouldn't have needed to second guess the source, and the usual bickering wouldn't have been needed.
15 Jun 2026 13:18:15
Or just read the posts, if you have something constructive to add or debate, then add it, if not, read it and move along. It really is that simple, and there is never any need to make things personal between each other, we're literally all here for one common purpose, and that's our club.
15 Jun 2026 13:21:20
And just to add, having been reading this site since 2005, I can guarantee that this place provides the most accurate, honest football information the Internet provides. That's down to everybody's input and the hard work of the great editors and those we have sadly lost!
14 Jun 2026 21:22:17
Rumours online that the club have told any interested parties that £60 plus would deal a deal for Gakpo. Spurs still really interested as they prefer him to Savinho.
14 Jun 2026 22:21:25
Gakpo is not going to move from a team who won the Premier League last season to a team that just barely escaped relegation.
14 Jun 2026 22:26:34
I'm calling it now. Spurs will be top 5 next season.
14 Jun 2026 22:35:21
Might get decent odds for that.
14 Jun 2026 22:41:06
Chewy, if they stay injury free next season and recruit well, then Spurs will do very well.
14 Jun 2026 23:07:32
Haha Spurs top 5 haha, oh my days, the sun has been out and the beer flowing, mate.
I do defo think they'll finish better than last season, but absolutely zero chance top 5.
{Ed078's Note - maybe take a screen shot of this Florian?
14 Jun 2026 23:38:46
Trent will end up at Spurs.
15 Jun 2026 00:06:19
No way Spurs could afford Trent's wages, and no way Spurs will finish top 5. I don't even know where the basis for that prediction would come from.
They've finished 17th for the last 2 seasons. Are you saying that De Zerbi is that good he can get a team from relegation fodder to Champions League in 1 season?
I think 8th is about their ceiling if they have a good season, but more realistically 10th to 13th.
15 Jun 2026 00:51:44
£60 seems a bit low even for us.
15 Jun 2026 00:39:30
Florian with another one of his classically deluded predictions. Love it. Bookmarked.
Keegan's Perm, and what's the basis for that, barely avoided relegation 2 seasons in a row?
Even if Tottenham did improve next season its completely irrelevant, Gakpo is not moving from a club who won the league last season to a club that's barely avoided relegation for 2 years now. The chap would literally laugh at the idea.
15 Jun 2026 06:36:38
We should bookmark Florian's and Klopp4pm's posts....
I reckon Spurs will be right up there, along with Chelsea, City, Utd, A******** and us....
Villa will struggle with the extra matches... Next season will be the return of the traditional Top 6....which includes Spurs.
{Ed078's Note - Spurs actually have a decent squad. The correct management could see a decent season from them.
15 Jun 2026 06:53:53
I don't know where Spurs will finish, but they do look much better under De Zerbi. They look like they have a bit of fight in them.
Another quick note for Chewy. You do seem quite confrontational at times, I've noticed.
You can say things a bit nicer with less belittling if you don't agree with someone. It doesn't come across well. Not to start anything with you, just maybe think if you can leave that stuff out and see how it comes across.
15 Jun 2026 07:04:15
£60m would be good given his wages.
15 Jun 2026 07:14:43
The experts are out. 😄
15 Jun 2026 07:37:46
I really can't see Gakpo leaving Arsenal and going to Spurs for £60 plus. 😂
15 Jun 2026 08:55:19
My 2 Spurs mates just spat their coffee out that someone thinks they'll be challenging for top 5 next season.
Anything better than mid table next season is an absolutely amazing season for them.
15 Jun 2026 12:34:32
Chewy,
How do you know what Gakpo would want in his next club and whether he would laugh at the offer on the table?
Just an observation as you're presenting you opinion as fact in that;
"The chap would literally laugh at the idea"
In the above rumours post you wanted posters to cite their references so please follow suit and heed your own standards.
14 Jun 2026 20:22:45
Liverpool are in talks with Lille regarding Ayyoub Bouaddi, possibility of Elliot being part of the deal.
14 Jun 2026 18:27:39
Apparently we are back in for Joel Ordonoz, but Spurs are front runners. £35-40m. He can also play RB.
14 Jun 2026 19:02:33
We need to get Luka Vuskovic, not Joel.
14 Jun 2026 20:09:57
Thought someone on here said we signed Joel Ordonez in January?
14 Jun 2026 20:47:14
Luka Vuskovic, unfortunately, looks to be going to Brighton as part of a deal for Van Hecke.
14 Jun 2026 21:27:03
Spurs are not front-runners if Liverpool are genuinely interested, simple as that. If Liverpool aren't fussed, so be it.
14 Jun 2026 21:31:20
Really don't understand why Spurs are willing to pay so much for Van Hecke when he only has 1 year left on his contract. His ball progression is good, but he was also the player with the most mistakes leading to a goal.
14 Jun 2026 21:38:59
I agree with Snowflake.
14 Jun 2026 09:06:50
Seeing rumours of us linked to Bouaddi, the 18yr old for Morocco. Any ITK know if true and if yes how likely to get it over the line? Looked very good against Brazil.
14 Jun 2026 10:00:49
Not happening. 👌
14 Jun 2026 10:17:32
He's on his way to Arsenal, who have been scouting him for a long time according to most reports.
14 Jun 2026 10:43:01
It's either PSG or Arsenal, but 80% PSG. Long term Fabian Ruiz replacement.
14 Jun 2026 10:45:53
Bouaddi is seriously good. I've been pushing him for months, but sadly I think Arsenal have the inside track. They are building the foundations of a very good young future.
14 Jun 2026 12:12:14
I suspect the issue will be price. He will cost more than £50m. It's one of the reasons we switched our attention to Caleb Yirenki, who has made the Ghana squad and would cost half that.
I like him, but given how much we have to do this summer, I am not sure we will pay that much for an 18-year-old.
You never know, though. Perhaps Lille like someone we have.
14 Jun 2026 12:59:52
I think the midfield market is not too bad outside Prem.
I still like Mahamadou Sangare.
But if Lamine Camara or Bouaddi are cheaper, very happy to go that route too.
All three look like good options.
14 Jun 2026 13:01:25
Here we go. World Cup madness. Any player who has a half decent game in the pinnacle of their playing career at the World Cup we should buy.
14 Jun 2026 13:35:22
Klopp4pm, I've seen Bouaddi mentioned here pre World Cup, so I would say it's World Cup fever.
14 Jun 2026 14:01:56
Bouaddi is one of the most promising midfield prospects in Europe, if you're obsessed with football like most of us are on here, you will have seen and heard of him before, be a lovely little signing for us, but can see him ending up in Paris, unfortunately.
14 Jun 2026 17:29:03
Indy saying we are in talks with his club and the player. Potential to make Elliot part of the deal.
14 Jun 2026 18:49:09
Don't see him going to Arsenal to be honest.
14 Jun 2026 20:06:34
El Hadji Diouf.
14 Jun 2026 20:41:10
Diouf was signed before the World Cup.
13 Jun 2026 22:16:05
Spoke to a very very reliable source (mother). Gomez is staying. Hope he can stay fit.
13 Jun 2026 23:08:24
Your mother or his mother?
Cos my mother said he's starting a beard care business.
13 Jun 2026 23:30:55
Hope he scores a goal.
13 Jun 2026 23:43:21
Wouldn't it be brilliant, SJ. 🙏
13 Jun 2026 23:54:47
Spoke to a very very reliable source (mother). Roast beef for dinner tomorrow night.
14 Jun 2026 02:55:10
Love it - best rumour of the off season so far. 😀😀
14 Jun 2026 06:50:15
Ornstein reporting your pa is trying to hijack your dinner and your sister is stuck in a car park awaiting instructions outside the supermarket, Cookie Monster, tense moments all around.
14 Jun 2026 07:25:46
Cats mum.
14 Jun 2026 07:33:55
Gomez is a nice lad, but it's wasted wages and a place in the team. Last season, he only started 11 games in all competitions. There is better out there that can actually stay fit. It's time to cut the cord and let him go.
14 Jun 2026 07:46:27
Would he be on massive wages, Longthing? Appreciate he's injured a lot, but very good at slotting in. I think, like a lot, I've a soft spot for Joey G (ain't nobody), but it's a real shame as I think he's arguably England's best centre half at the mo if he could stay fit. I'd have him as starting right back as well, as things stand.
Always liked him at RB, even if he's not quite got the end product needed, but he's a very solid defender and gets up and down.
Also, gets the club, seems like a top man to have around, but agreed he needs to be available more often, unfortunately. Tough call. We've lost a few top characters, I'm hesitant to cut them all in one summer. 😫
14 Jun 2026 07:55:37
Iraola will get him fit.
Imagine feeding the Cookie Monster Roast beef! He's going to kick off for sure.
14 Jun 2026 08:44:39
Blameitontraore7,
How can you say Joe is England's best cb if he stays fit. He's nowhere near the best! He's only played 15 times for England in 10 years, the stats don't lie there, mate. Even when fit, he's not getting in the England squad.
14 Jun 2026 08:44:43
If Klopp couldn't get him fit, then Iraola will struggle with a significantly older Gomez.
14 Jun 2026 08:56:57
Really think he needs to go, paying wages for someone who is very rarely available, would be better off promoting someone from the U21s and giving them experience.
He might be a great lad, but is this really a reason to keep him?
It's ok, we can pine for him when he's gone and want him resigned just like every other player who leaves.
14 Jun 2026 07:21:45
Cookie Monster - Sounds a bit too rumourish. I think we have to summon one of the ITK's for this one. @Carra Any meat on this rumour?
14 Jun 2026 09:49:37
Mums the word????
14 Jun 2026 10:15:35
I'm glad he's staying, like I said. I hope he scores, he deserves the celebrations.
14 Jun 2026 10:44:41
Another player who will be allowed to leave on a free then? He won't contribute much next season imo if his injuries continue.
14 Jun 2026 10:43:00
I want to know what Cookie Monster's sauce is :)
14 Jun 2026 10:58:06
He's made of single-ply tissue; nobody can 'get him fit'.
14 Jun 2026 11:12:03
Nest if the contributors do a search on Square Tomato (great to see him back on the forum) who actually knows or is related to Joe. His most recent posts will give you a bit more accurate information about what Joe is going to do.
14 Jun 2026 12:11:03
Saying it years, needs to go. LFC fans are ruthless with everyone, except Joe. Sell him this summer while we can still get a few million for him.
14 Jun 2026 12:44:52
Yep, needs to go, me... Great when fit, but his injuries have been beyond a joke for years... The game when he subbed on and lasted only 10 mins, roughly, before he came off again. Haha. Nice lad but robbed a living at a top club... Our version of Luke Shaw or Darren Anderton.
14 Jun 2026 12:39:48
Was it Tomato Source by any chance?
IYKYK
14 Jun 2026 15:12:00
Hahhaha. We should have specified. His mum, not mine. Unfortunately my mum's a Chelski fan.
14 Jun 2026 15:42:34
Longthing, if he could have stayed fit he'd have a lot more caps than that in my opinion. Guehi, fair enough, is strong, but still not top class, or at least hasn't proven that yet, maybe after another season at City, but Konsa isn't unbelievable. Stones, again, is prob the best of them, but he's nearly worse fitness levels than Joey.
Djed Spence made the England squad, sure...
I'm not saying he should be there but purely on ability wise he's 100% in that bracket if he could stay fit...big if though unfortunately.
14 Jun 2026 21:00:21
Jo has been with us 11 years and made c170 appearances. Seems a nice guy, and is a decent defender, but the basic starting point is being available to play. If he stays it's a wasted squad place.
15 Jun 2026 00:19:19
Gomez would not be a wasted squad space at all.
For me, if he is happy to stay as part of a group of 5 CBs, then having him in the squad would be better than letting him go and then spending money to replace him.
13 Jun 2026 18:19:23
Apparently Barcola has put in transfer request…. 2&2 with Gakpo??
13 Jun 2026 18:47:29
2&2 = they both are at the World Cup, and I doubt Barcola is bothering to hand his request in right at this moment.
13 Jun 2026 18:51:29
Apparently he's not convinced by the Arsenal project or their style of play according to ITKSpace.
13 Jun 2026 19:06:57
His transfer request was handed in before he left for World Cup... This is the reason PSG are trying to get Maghnes Akliouche tied up.
13 Jun 2026 19:08:18
Hopefully JJ & Hugo can convince him our project is the way to go.
13 Jun 2026 19:32:08
What is the issue, why is he forcing a move? PSG is quite the desirable destination.
13 Jun 2026 19:42:54
He wants to be playing more & Enrique doesn't see him as better option over Doue.
13 Jun 2026 21:32:47
If you're an ambitious footballer, Starseeker, you want to play at the highest level. France is not the highest level.
I'd always think a CL club in the Premier League, especially one as successful and world renowned as Liverpool, would be a more desirable destination than PSG for top players.
There are 2 reasons you'd go to Paris, money or an easier workload, because let's face it, if PSG don't win the league every single season, it's an underachievement.
13 Jun 2026 21:37:40
Can't see much happening when they're at the World Cup.
13 Jun 2026 22:31:41
Apart from passing a medical and signing on the dotted line, does the player have to do very much?
13 Jun 2026 23:33:08
Double European champions don't think you can get much higher than that domestically.
13 Jun 2026 23:44:45
You right step over. Thanks for schooling me. Been locked in a cage watching EPL only.
14 Jun 2026 02:57:16
What about treble or quadruple CL champions like some of the Madrid players?
13 Jun 2026 01:26:54
Carra/The Fields/ Robbo
Diomande now at the WC are we right to assume this is now going to be post WC before there is any further development?
Also, what’s the score on Palestra or Kayode? It’s the next most important position for us to fill.
13 Jun 2026 08:16:32
I read that post as he was on the bog!
Half asleeep. First thing I do in the morning. Need coffee, Morning Reds.
13 Jun 2026 08:20:05
I'd think if he's agreed terms, etc., then it's with his agent to finalise. If the clubs agree a fee, then I'd guess it can all be done while he's there. If it's that far down the line, I'd think once a deal is agreed, one phone call from his agent to tell him and a Docusign in your inbox would not be any major distraction for a player.
If he wants the move, to know it's all done and wrapped up would give a boost and comfort rather than unbalance. imo.
13 Jun 2026 09:23:27
And what about his medical? His national team bosses may not agree to this.
13 Jun 2026 09:31:29
Most deals are done pending a medical, and if the medical is failed, the deal is void.
13 Jun 2026 10:38:06
I do not agree that RB is next in priority, if this is what you mean with those names.
We need attacking players for sure! We are short on the front, especially if we are going to press a lot. We need depth. Aside from Diomande (if it happens at all) we need one more winger. We also need a midfielder like Anderson, who has legs. Wharton does not have those. If we play Szobo/Wirz/Grav - we need someone with legs. Macca has collapsed totally this season (tactics might have helped with that as well).
I would not touch RB at all if we have Joe Gomez/Frimpong/Bradley (at some point of time after injury).
More of a problem is with the CB - Van Dijk/Leoni/Jaquet/Gomez - we might need another one here if Gomez starts covering RB.
Nobody knows if Curtis Jones will stay. If he stays, we do not need RB, and that means we will not need CB as well. He is good enough to cover. I like him - he has work rate, can pass, holds the ball very good.
I would say we might need a striker as well if the glass boy shows weakness again in preseason.
13 Jun 2026 10:57:02
Unfortunately, Gomez can't stay fit. He's never going to be able to play 2 games a week. RB is definitely a position that needs strengthening. Maybe add another centre back who can cover right back.
13 Jun 2026 11:23:38
Arsenal won the league with 6 CB's, 2 RB's, 2 LB's. They have 2 8's, 3 6's, 2 10's, 3 LW's and 2 RW's and 2 ST's.
And to top it off, 99% are all seniors for their countries barring Miles. None of this "lets try youth out and see what they can do s****".
So no, Jones and Szobo at RB will not cut it next season. We need effective competitive rotation.
All injury prone players cannot be counted on. Sell them and invest in the squad rebuild.
Endo, Joe, Bradley will not cut it anymore. They will constantly break down and come Feb when they're 3 games a week, we can't rely on them. They have to be sold no matter how big their heart is. We don't even know if Ekitike will come back the same.
The players at the WC will come back and only be effective in October. We do not want to find ourselves 10 points behind.
The only way is to invest smartly and buy the right type of players.
13 Jun 2026 12:07:32
If Arsenal are the archetype of what we want to be, then I would rather stop watching football, @RobRed. Playing exciting, attacking football, and giving ample opportunities to talented youngsters is how I like my football. Doing those things and still winning is the ultimate goal.
13 Jun 2026 12:40:31
Will we ever learn from our past mistakes of relying on players who are injured/injury prone.
We should be challenging every season with the resources at our disposal, the first XI, the squad, and the training facilities.
We should not be having a fallow season. Ever. Or a transition season. Or however you want to dress up "making excuses" again.
13 Jun 2026 13:09:30
Everyone has bad seasons, previously unstoppable players pick up injury after injury, players lose form, these things happen. You can't help it, you can't be unstoppable every season, it just doesn't happen.
But I do also agree that there are players more prone to injury than others, unfortunately, one is a player I really like in Bradley.
I'm hoping he grows out of it as I like him at RB. I also agree we need more depth in the squad as we can't be playing our best midfielder in Szob at RB, it's mad.
13 Jun 2026 13:22:56
Gomez has to be sold or given away even, save on his wages or pay per play contract, bet he'd be on his bike then.
Don't blame him staying and asking the cash, it's all down to the club, how can this be sensible business when your assets are not there most of the time.
Not rocket science !!!
Get shut and get people in who can do a job regularly and are robust and have good history free of injuries.

RB Leipzig have been very quiet, so I assume negotiations are underway. Safe to say Red Bull and LFC have a very good relationship, so it won't be played out in public. Nor will it be an easy deal given the fee involved.
13 Jun 2026 14:09:23
Right Back is definitely needed. Cannot count on Bradley, repeated prolonged injuries. When back, he is: tackle.. yellow card .. substitute.
13 Jun 2026 14:14:13
Don't want a chequebook manager like Arteta. Want someone who looks at anyone good enough from the Academy first before he goes into the market. Nothing is better than watching an academy player succeed.
13 Jun 2026 14:26:24
RedPansa, utter nonsense, mate. Were you even following us last season? We had Bradley, Frimpong and Gomez. They all started the season perfectly fit, and look how that turned out. Dom spent more time at RB than any of them. Now we're starting this season. Bradley won't be fit, in case you didn't know, he's not due back until Sept/Oct depending on recovery.
Frimpong was injured for half the season; he missed 127 days over 5 separate occasions with a repeat hamstring issue, which is obviously far worse than initially presumed. And Gomez is as sturdy as wet cardboard. We desperately need an RB.
13 Jun 2026 14:58:52
Give Bradley a break, will ya’s. Lad has had rotten luck since he got near first team with injuries and losing his father. He will be brilliant when he gets stronger. Gomez has been told it’s up to him if he stays, according to ST.
I don’t mind. Suppose you all prepared to give Isak a chance? Two faced Gomez will be available for more games than Isak this season, probably Bradley too.
13 Jun 2026 15:25:50
Udh, no wonder he got yellow cards, as he was trying to cover the space that the midfield vacated and Konate not supporting him either. Last season's tactics were exposed as early on as the Bournemouth and Newcastle games. I know Carra (the pundit) is a gob*****, but he said the way we were playing wasn't sustainable, and he was actually correct.
If Grav was told to hold his position and not go gallivanting up the pitch, there wouldn't have been so much space between the midfield and back line. Teams just bypassed our midfield with direct balls, leaving our full backs especially exposed.

Chewysuarez7,
I have been watching almost every game. I still think those players can't have such bad luck with injuries another season. If that happens - ok, I agree they need to sell Frimpong and Bradley. If I am being honest, I am more pissed at the bad crossing Frimpong is doing than that he has missed 100+ days...
But I do not understand why most people are asking to sell another half a dozen players - how the hell will the club get the same or better quality players for the same cash? It never happens like that.
And if we sell 6, we will purchase maybe 4 maximum. Where is the depth you need for 3 games a week? Especially with the tactics Iraiola is going to implement, we need 2 players per position, and maybe for some positions 3 players will be needed due to the injuries that are expected to happen.
Now, if we land Diomande, how much money do you think we will be able to spend if only Macca is sold, for example? How will we buy another RB, CB, midfielder and probably another winger/striker? I doubt we will spend like last year....
13 Jun 2026 16:43:26
Scouse John, what do you mean when you say 'two faced Gomez'?
13 Jun 2026 17:20:12
It will be a case of pending medical, he could possibly have one whilst away, but it will be completed this week.
Cheers.
13 Jun 2026 17:54:17
Cheers Robbo.
13 Jun 2026 17:55:45
Robbo, thank you.
Is Diomande on the verge of completion?
And I'm so curious about the next target.
13 Jun 2026 18:16:13
@ starseeker: Typo, missed out a comma, it was meant as it's two faced, Gomez will be available more than Isak.
13 Jun 2026 19:39:13
I understand.
13 Jun 2026 21:18:43
Dont see the point in buying diamonde. His game won't work in epl. Just like adama traore doesn't work in epl
14 Jun 2026 03:00:50
@Rokki, he's still got to sort his hair out and he needs a bit of dental work, then he should be done.
14 Jun 2026 04:53:48
Right back is essential in my opinion. Bradley has had a lot of injury issues and has a very serious injury currently. How well he comes back is far from guaranteed. It's a shame because he would be great in Iraola's system in my opinion.
I'm not convinced Frimpong defends well enough.
He is also extremely injury prone, and I can foresee him providing cover further up the pitch rather than being a right back option.
Really think we need a right back who can start consistently and play with the system we will play, I'd say it's an essential position to strengthen.
14 Jun 2026 11:41:27
Really hope Diamonde doesn't turn into another Naby Keita, good season in the league gets a big move and turns to sh**e.
Naby looked a world beater and had everyone believing he would be a great number 8.
Be careful what you wish for?
14 Jun 2026 11:52:58
RedPansa, it's nothing to do with luck, mate; it's biology, and biomechanics. Some people are just prone to injury and once that can of worms is opened staying fit is a constant struggle for them. All 3 players have shown more than enough evience to reasonably assume they are unreliable. Gomez, spends more time on the physio bench than the pitch. Bradley, at such a young age, has missed more than half the games each season for the last 3 years due to injuries. Frimpong has been out for half the season over 5 seperate occasions with a recurring hamstring injury. There is no luck involved here.
You question how they'll get the same quality players, I say where's the quality when they're injured half the season? Your quality is ull and void if you can't play. Besides, Gomez, Bradley and especially Frimpong have not show to posess any level of talent that's irreplaceable. These 3 are worth f*** all because they're not that great, Joe's career is coming to an end, Bradley is incredibly injury prone for a kid his age and has yet to establish himself fully and Frimpong is just rubbish to be honest. There's a few decent RB's out there that would be far more reliable and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg.
We've seen this season that we don't have enough depth as it is, the clubs well aware, we won't be weakening the squad. The club has plenty of money mate, don't be worrying about that. Diomande's not going to be 100+, more like 85, we'll get Barcola or similar for about 70. That's 135. We'll only be buying a midfielder if MacAllister is moved on, so he'll generate most of the funds needed for that, say we spend 80m or so there. We'll only be buying a striker if Gakpo leaves; again, that's a sizable portion of funds. You're talking about maybe 100-120m for the 2 of them. Gakpo will be replaced by a good squad player who can back up Isak, not an out-and-out starter so I'd imagine no more than 60m to spend there. IF we buy a CB, and its a fairly big if, as the club might see Jaquet as an adequate replacement for Konate, we'll spend what, 50m or thereabouts? Maybe we sell Jones for 30. We'll flog off some fodder who can be replaced for pittence or with youth players
So based on this scenario, and without worrying about fringe players, we spend something like 350 and make about 180 or so. You're worrying about money here but I don't think you've actually done the maths. We're in a very healthy position as it stands. We've been extremely shrewd under FSG, prior to last summer we averaged a net spend of only £33m per season, that's incredible business to be doing over nearly 15 years. We have the money.

Lots of links this evening with Lee Han Beom of South Korea. Probably World Cup fever but he fits the profile.
12 Jun 2026 22:19:50
Where's all the ITKs gone from this site? Are they at the World Cup?
12 Jun 2026 22:23:04
What is the profile that he fits?
12 Jun 2026 22:26:57
One is in the post below.
The others are less likely to hear stuff as player transfers will likely be on hold as most we are interested in are playing and focusing on the job at hand.
12 Jun 2026 22:51:16
This rumour is from TeamTalk.
12 Jun 2026 22:56:35
Team Talk has to be one of the worst sites out there. Utter garbage.
12 Jun 2026 22:57:06
Playing in the World Cup*.
12 Jun 2026 23:11:14
All at the Zach Bryan concert tonight night, was boss the band all had Liverpool tops on.
13 Jun 2026 00:16:52
Lee Kang-in is the one I'd like to see us after. Very, very tidy player, and can play a few different positions.
13 Jun 2026 00:28:57
"Where's all the ITK's on this site"!
F*** up, sur!!
Give the lads a f****** break!!! "
13 Jun 2026 08:55:53
Angry you, lad.
13 Jun 2026 09:07:36
@Rax, Perhaps there is nothing to know at the moment. Perhaps the players we might want are concentrating on winning the kick about in Canada, Mexico and America?
13 Jun 2026 09:31:41
Sailor Jerry, I was at the Zach Bryan concert, as you say the band had retro tops on. What a performance, great atmosphere. My ticket was a gift from my son. Another special night at Anfield shared with my lad.
13 Jun 2026 13:25:37
Does anyone know why Mexico gets to host WC for the 3rd time when we invented the bloody game and had it only once?
13 Jun 2026 14:27:39
Glad you enjoyed it, Stevie! My missus booked them way back, she was due 3 days ago, I thought we might be famous if she went into labour 🤣 Alas, we're still waiting.
13 Jun 2026 14:30:42
Footballing nation, good venues, welcoming celebratory fans.
14 Jun 2026 01:44:19
Sailor Jerry, I hope all goes well with your wife and the baby.
14 Jun 2026 11:54:04
BigDoc, I think he was talking about those who are posing as 'ITK' lad, relax.
