Liveprool cool interest in Bellingham and now are looking at other targets.

Wasted two years chasing the impossible.
Right player my arsenal!

Liveprool’s alternatives for Bellingham includes Napoli playmaker Stanislav Lobotka and Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Harry you told us were buying Bellingham yesterday.

2.) 20 Mar 2023 18:32:35
Milinkovic-Savic has been leaving Lazio longer than Zaha has been leaving Palace.

3.) 20 Mar 2023 20:46:53
24 hours is a long time on Liverpool Transfer Rumours Thunderbird ?.

4.) 20 Mar 2023 20:51:34
Aside from the fact that Milinkovic-Savic has been leaving Lazio more times than Jan Molby’s had hot dinners, I can’t really see either of them leaving or wanting to leave a champions league clubs to play for a club outside of the champions league at their age. The much vaunted midfield rebuild really isn’t happening, Milner contract renewal, Morton and Clarkson replacing Ox and Keita with Jones being pushed as our own Bellingham alternative. The only likely incomings will likely be Nunes, Mount and whoever FSG can get on a free/ cheap deal, which will somehow be worse than what we already have, and it’ll be probably be paid for by selling Fabinho, Kelleher and Salah. 8th place is our next season lads.

5.) 20 Mar 2023 22:26:52
Were not out of the champions league yet, and while it's seems unlikely there's still a he'll of a lot of football to be played.

6.) 21 Mar 2023 05:25:27
Nice one Victor, I hear we may be in for Traore this summer too….

7.) 21 Mar 2023 08:34:50
You forgot about Sander Berge too, Victor. And maybe we can throw in Dembele as a Salah replacement since, according to you, we would most probably be selling him.

8.) 21 Mar 2023 09:40:35
surely who ever the replacement for Bellingham is if we can't get him needs to under 25. SMS and Lobotka are nearing 29. Ugarte should be getting looked at in my opinion.

{Ed002's Note - Ugarte is not an alternative to Bellingham - he plays in a different position.}

9.) 21 Mar 2023 09:53:21
Only if he’s on a free West Derby. We need someone to replace Salah when he is inevitably sold to PSG and who better than a one goal every two years winger. I certainly can’t think of one better player.

10.) 21 Mar 2023 14:09:27
Put in place by the Eds several times for spouting nonsense, yet VVVV the 'oracle' is back spouting more nonsense. Are you a Liverpool supporter? The evidence suggests the complete opposite.

11.) 21 Mar 2023 14:13:45
EdOO2, Is Ugarte on our radar would you know?

{Ed002's Note - Manuel Ugarte (DM) Interest of Leeds went when Sporting refused to negotiate a reduction in his buy out clause and now want to give him a new contract and increase it. Wolves, Spurs and PSG have shown an interest but none will meet his €60M buy out clause and Spurs have moved on to other targets. Barcelona and Newcastle offer wildcard options and are keen.}

Nor buying a DM last year has cost us the most. Fabinho was a passenger last year and yet we decided to stick with him for another season. Now most of the DM’s are prices at £70 and £80 mill respectively.

1.) 02 Apr 2023 11:53:46
No one anticipated the mental and physical burn out, which seems to be unique to Klopp's tactics, style and thin squad.
There are plenty of other Fab's out there. Look at how Brighton manage on a much smaller budget-which is what Klopp means when he says that we need to take more risks in the market.
We could have had Caicedo for 5m and nurtured him along with the other young players, saving 40/ 50m.

2.) 02 Apr 2023 12:07:20
My mate who is quite a successful plumber told me in the pub yesterday that he’s been working 14 hour days over the last 6 weeks and he’s exhausted.

I laughed and told him he’s lucky he’s not a professional footballer as they have it the hardest.

The whole pub stood up and applauded me and my mate said fair one.

3.) 02 Apr 2023 12:48:15
Any chance your mate can help us fix the u-bend so we can flush all the old sh*t away before it gets offered a new contract?

4.) 02 Apr 2023 12:44:52
Blaming Fabinho is too simplistic. It’s tactics, personnel and physical conditioning. And as the season has gone on, the mentality has come into play.

5.) 02 Apr 2023 13:01:43
Thomas unfortunately he’s out of work for a few weeks now with a hamstring pull ?.

6.) 02 Apr 2023 13:24:44
spaceman - did you really describe the squad as thin? It's a massive squad to be fair. The makeup of it unfortunately is not fit for purpose anymore.

7.) 02 Apr 2023 13:32:14
Fabinho has been worst player of the season closely followed by Trent and VVD.

8.) 02 Apr 2023 13:48:12
WarMachine, Fabinho was the only midfielder attempting to make tackles yesterday. Yes, his form dropped off but he's been much better since being temporarily dropped for Bajcetic. The midfielders around him are the real problem this season.

9.) 02 Apr 2023 13:49:30
The squad is hardly thin. Carvalho and Jones can’t buy a game. It’s the starting 11 that’s the issue now. Would struggle to name an outfield player who has had a good season.

10.) 02 Apr 2023 13:53:25
I'm still a believer in the old adage "form is temporary, class is permanent" and calls for wholesale changes of big players in the team is too much of a risk at this stage I feel.
I mean, Elliott for Salah? Really?
Graeme Souness made that mistake back in the 90s, getting rid of senior players too quickly, and look what happened subsequently.
I'm sure that there'll be a top to toe review and next season will be interesting to see.
Have some faith please, it'll get better (could it get worse lol) .

11.) 02 Apr 2023 13:55:52
You're right markp08 - not a single senior outfield player has had a good season. Elliott (even though he's being played in a stupid position) and Bajcetic are the only ones alongside Alisson that can hold their heads high.

12.) 02 Apr 2023 14:25:57
FlyPelican - do you watch the games? Fabinho has been poor for 2 years. As a holding midfielder he's probably the worst in the league. Can't tackle, can't run back, runs out of position, let's the opposition glide past him and onto our defence. He must be a holding midfielder right as he doesn't score and he doesn't assist. He is no longer the glue that holds anything together and he is supposed to be the core of the team. I said it 2 years ago as it was obvious then and he's become even worse now. Should have been the first one out of the premier league winning team replaced, yet Klopp has totally failed to refresh the team.

13.) 02 Apr 2023 14:43:26
WarMachine - yes I watch the games. You’ll see that Fabinho has, since last season, been asked to cover twice as much grass as previous seasons due to the tactics. He’s never been a DM for making recovery runs but rather anticipating and cutting out supply much earlier with a Gini and prime Hendo providing the legs around him. Those legs around him are gone, rendering Fabinho’s best skill useless.

While Fab has had a poor season, let’s be fair in our criticism of the midfielders and very importantly the tactics.

14.) 02 Apr 2023 15:22:40
Excuses excuses fly pelican and if those excuses continue to be trotted out and midfielders aren’t replaced in the summer, Klopp will be gone at Christmas and we will be back seeing fourth as our aim again.

15.) 02 Apr 2023 15:54:25
I’ve openly criticised the lack of legs in midfield and our tactics, WarMachine. I’m certainly not making excuses. Just saying that it’s not down to just Fabinho.

Agree that Klopp’s future depends on how he deals with the midfield and tactics in the summer.

16.) 02 Apr 2023 18:19:44
Harry, we were never in for a DM except Tchouameni who can play both the 8 and the 6, I read somewhere so again, making random statements after all the facts have been known proved nothing and does not help. Oh, and it doesn’t make you a genius either esp if you were not saying that at the time which you were NOT.

17.) 02 Apr 2023 18:24:05
Your right war machine 73 suprised we did not get we were going for four trophies last season . To many here do not want to face reality we have shot our bolt, the manager and his coaches don't know how to retrieve the situation. klopp is like a rabbit in head lights and what happens if klopp buys xyz player and they turn out like nabby i am a masive fan of klopp but that does not mean what is happening is ok it is not he has to face up to his mistakes and either get it sorted or go sorry to say that but that's life .

18.) 03 Apr 2023 11:04:09
one of the strangest stats i have seen is that our running per man per game has dropped off a cliff from being the fittest team around to one of the worst with regards to sprints etc. so are we as a team older? burnt out or was our pre season different and we have tried to change styles, but even if we are having a bad season i am still behind them and Klopp we just have to believe. YNWA.

01 Apr 2023 16:06:18
Mason mount is not going to solve this shambles. We need top players and major rebuild. A few here and there and some covers not enough. I am afraid we are long way off.

1.) 01 Apr 2023 16:39:39
The transitional season that's talked about is bollxcks as we have only brought in nunez an gakpo, every time there is a international or time away from the pitch we come back looking like zombies, are we being managed properly?

2.) 01 Apr 2023 16:59:39
We need a style the team can play and that they believe in again.

Until we sort that you can bring in who they like and we will still be crap.

Every result like that seems to wound klopp just a little bit more.

24 Mar 2023 06:10:48
Strike off Mason Mount form your list! Lad is heading to Bayern to reunite with his old boss Tuchel at Bayern!

Capital Income

1.) 24 Mar 2023 07:38:41
Doubt Mount goes there, nobody is taking that attacking midfield spot off Musiala.

2.) 24 Mar 2023 08:41:40
If mount goes there he'll be well forgotten.

3.) 24 Mar 2023 10:44:34
We can only strike off Mount once we have tracked him for 24 months and then announce we aren’t willing to enter a bidding war as we can’t afford him.

Until that day he’s 100% definitely coming to Liverpool because he is the right fit and his mum, dad and cat support Liverpool.

4.) 24 Mar 2023 11:28:11
Haha JK. James Pearce article about how we have tracking him since he was 7 years old, the club sent scouts to watch him do the egg and spoon race on sports day.

5.) 24 Mar 2023 11:37:55
Ha ha boys, @Thomas and JK, you two are the life of this page ????.

6.) 24 Mar 2023 15:56:55
Nagelsmann got fired? ?. Oh my. Makes you wonder what it is that keeps you secure in a job. Winning, clearly, is not enough.

Finally, Tuchel is off the joint trajectory he had been taking with Klopp. Even though Klopp never worked for PSG and Chelsea, and Tuchel did. But the media keep harping about it.

7.) 24 Mar 2023 18:42:44
Mount is trash anyway, don’t know why anyone would want him. Not good enough going forward and doesn’t offer the same work rate/ defensive capability of Hendo in his prime. Just an older version of what Elliot will be imo.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp likes him of course.}

8.) 24 Mar 2023 19:16:46
Anyone we sign James Pearces wheels out the article of how we’ve been following them since the day they could walk ?.

9.) 24 Mar 2023 20:58:31
We all screamed for mendy but got Robbo if klopp wants mount he gets my vote ( besides the fact I think he good player)

10.) 25 Mar 2023 01:02:37
I've not put him on yet! Do I have to put him on and strike him off or I can I just not put him on the list?
Where's my pen, anyway? I'll go to Argos with my chain cutters for a pen now!

11.) 25 Mar 2023 08:36:31
Hello capital Income,

Besides Tuchel wanting Mount, will he also now be interested in Jude, Gvardiol, any good players in fact?

Would how long it will take Tuchel to do a Jurgen "Fist Pump" to his Bayern home supporters.

19 Mar 2023 17:20:34
Jurgen Klopp has made his thoughts very clear: Jude Bellingham is now the top, top target. Klopp has said that every other transfer should be pushed down the pecking order. #lfc.

1.) 19 Mar 2023 19:16:55
He isn’t coming sadly. We’ve driven his price up and can’t compete financially with others sadly do despite him being our priority we will have to settle for Nunez perhaps.

2.) 19 Mar 2023 19:46:25
Dare to dream Daretodream.

Or just say he’s not coming so you won’t get too disappointed if he doesn’t and you can say you were right all along.

3.) 19 Mar 2023 20:02:17
Liverpool have talked to judes father, let's throw another 30 milllion on the price tag to punish them. Do people really think this is how it works? isn't Judes father his agent anyhow?

4.) 19 Mar 2023 20:13:35
I think he will sign for us, no inside info r anything just my gut instinct on what eds have said here and Bellinghams actions himself.
He seems level headed guy, don't think he will be swayed by bigger paypackets elsewhere. Dortmund quite rightly will look to get big deal for themselves but I do think they will take in2 account his wishes.

5.) 19 Mar 2023 20:35:02
I feel we will sign Bellingham. No inside knowledge but basing it on a few things. Klopp wants Bellingham and has been chasing him for a while. Bellingham and his parents who manage his affairs want Liverpool. His parents are known to be meticulous in mapping out his career. Jude and his father apparently support Liverpool. Klopp might have some leverage on the owners as FSG might sanction a big money move seeing as they haven’t sold and would want to appease Klopp and the fans. Could be wrong but it’s just a feeling.

6.) 19 Mar 2023 20:43:57
@Daretodream
We have to complete with the top end clubs to land top end players. There is no other way. If you intend to finish above them then you need a world class team. Bellingham should happen!

7.) 19 Mar 2023 22:47:59
Not that I think the lad is coming to Liverpool but if Keita, Ox, Firmino, Milner, Matip and Arthur were off the wage bill what sort of money are we talking? 500k a week maybe?
With that kind of saving and somehow stumble into the top 4 I guess never say never.

{Ed001's Note - more.}

8.) 19 Mar 2023 23:43:21
Reported figs:

Keita - £120k
Ox - £120k
Bobby - £180k
Milner - £60k
Matip - £100k
Arthur - £110k

Total - £690k.

Without going totally mad, I think you can add in Adrian (£60k) and Phillips (£65k) to make £815k.

Comes with caveats obviously. Not clear whether that includes or excludes bonuses, figures are only estimated etc. etc.

{Ed001's Note - you also have tax and national insurance etc that the club has to pay on top of that.}

9.) 19 Mar 2023 23:47:02
At least 5 of them will be on £100k+ a week, but at least 2 of them would need a replacement in the squad. Still, big saving.

10.) 20 Mar 2023 00:59:35
"according" to journalist Christian Falk.

11.) 20 Mar 2023 05:26:48
Got a feeling that Milner will be doing the Monster Mash on the bleep tests at Liverpool for another season yet.
And the guy will have earned it, in my book.
He's immaculate.

{Ed025's Note - he has been a great asset to liverpool juicer and come to that every club he has ever played for, hes the consummate professional in my book and im a massive fan, maybe he will not play as much at the top level next season but i still think he can be asset to the club mate..

12.) 20 Mar 2023 06:44:20
The issue is that you will have to replace a couple of players at least. For instance Matip and Phillips. We would need to sign at least a player there. Millie, Ox, Keita and Arthur could possibly be replaced by 2 players (Jude being one ?) .
So sticking a heap of players down to move on and saving on wages is one thing but I can’t be total savings. How much would Jude demand in wages for instance?

{Ed025's Note - if he came he would be the highest earner at the club IR, his profile and transfer fee would demand that mate and that brings its own problems..

13.) 20 Mar 2023 06:46:56
Did you say Arthur 110K?

14.) 20 Mar 2023 10:38:26
Would you really have to replace all of them with purchases though Irish? I mean, the minutes Ox, Keita and Arthur have played this season could be covered by the likes of Clarkson and Morton coming back from loan - let's face it, they'll hardly play worse will they and we'll still make a huge saving in wages

For cb, those 2 leaving would still leave VVD, Konate and Gomez - I agree we need another cb then but I would like a starter, like Gvardiol who would then rotate with VVD and Konate as the 2 starting cbs. Allows us to rest VVD while still having 2 strong starters - then Gomez as the 4th choice

Again, not a massive influx of players to replace those for me

I'd love Bellingham obviously, would his wages really be on a Salah level though? Would the savings made above cover that then?

Add another midfield option and I think we look decent - not a huge rebuild for me but certainly a big job to do tactically and training wise - we cannot keep with this level of injuries.

15.) 20 Mar 2023 12:35:14
Ed25, JB will command wages on a par with VVD and Alisson but certainly lesser than Salah. I also don't think money is his main motivation. He will get big bucks wherever he goes during his career.

Your argument is very strong @MK. For certain I will sell Fabinho. He is finished and I don’t see how anyone wants to give him another year. On VVD he is on a declining path but his game can be managed as he is vocal, leader and still has got a bit in him. We need to sigh Gvardiol regardless mate.

You make a brilliant point however in the early days we had absolutely no chance of getting the top end players without massively overpaying to agents / players / companies. We were languishing in mid table for years and only money would have fixed it.
But then again you are right, our people above are utterly incompetent as well.
