A question for Ed002. I recall the club had interest in Lars Stindl prior to signing Milner. Would you have any info on why the deal didn't materialise? My impression was that the player wished to remain in Germany. Have wondered bout this for ages and any info is much appreciated. Thank you Ed.

{Ed002's Note - A long time ago but I don’t think he wanted to leave Germany. I think he is still playing at BM.}

Been playing some cm0102. At any point in his career was Rob Earnshaw ever close to a big move, any eds know?

I don’t know for definitely but I think we was well thought of in the top league and comments of the Welsh Michael Owen wernt uncommon. Early promise didn’t really materialise though as I remember and outside his form for Cardiff and a season for norwich he was a good, not brilliant, finished. Big move, maybe not but he wouldn’t have been out of place for a club in the top half of the table in my opinion.

Didn't he move to Leipzig mate?

Spot on, Ed02. OP, Stindl is still at Gladbach for reasons, only he can tell me cos I don't get it. Very good player indeed.

Hi Ed002. If you would be kind enough, who was the first choice who rejected us? Paul Mitchell would be a good choice as well. An English DOF will drive youth development more IMO and with increased HG quotas in the future this is the way.

{Ed002's Note - I am not getting in to naming people.}

Put in place by the Eds several times for spouting nonsense, yet VVVV the 'oracle' is back spouting more nonsense. Are you a Liverpool supporter? The evidence suggests the complete opposite.

If the club can persuade him to compete with Trent then great. The kid would need plenty of self confidence and not chase an almost guaranteed starting place elsewhere. I think unlikely. Trent needs competition either way. I would go for Baku from Wolfsburg who can cover both Trent and Salah.

Its because MU have a bigger fanbase worldwide. Wouldn't surprise me if the unsuccessful parties in buying MU look at investment in LFC thereafter. LFC have recently (last 30 years) been the underdog in the rivalry with MU due to money and personally I kinda like it. This means more and all that jazz.

Based on Eds, other news and my own opinion, 4 possible candidates are Mitchell, Mislintat, Krosche and Freund. Due to contract situations the new DOF can only begin on 1st July 2023 anyway so no real rush.

Certain Nunes is being looked at as a DM. Would then make more sense adding JB and Mount. More than enough for midfield. A CB like Schuurs/ NDicka and RB cover like a cheaper Frimpong we're done. A back up keeper on lower wages than Adrian like Zieler. No idea on money, with CL may be possible.

Ed25, JB will command wages on a par with VVD and Alisson but certainly lesser than Salah. I also don't think money is his main motivation. He will get big bucks wherever he goes during his career.

Ornstein is a good journo. Highly unlikely doesn't mean no chance. Personally think the club can afford 120-130 mil euros fixed with add ons upto 150 mil euros. If other clubs outbid us so be it. The player won't be forced to join any club in the end. Say MU bids 180 mil euros and BD accept, would JB really move there?

Whether we sign Jude or not we definitely need more HG/ english players. Mount is versatile and with a contract running out. Young and yet to peak age for a CM. Makes sense if he wants to leave London.

That could easily have been 5 major trophies in 8 years MK. Klopp made the club competitive again since 08-09. 13-14 was a freakish run of form led by Suarez and Sturridge despite Rodgers inability to coach defence. No coach can guarantee trophies, just look at Spurs, MU and Chelsea (consistently) . Klopp has not performed miracles but is certainly in the top 10 or 5 coaches worldwide.
