Reds,
Although I’m still relatively new to posting here, I respect everyone’s views and opinions, especially those who put their trust in the established voices like Carra, Robbo, and others.
That said, I’m sticking with what I said a week ago. Liverpool have walked away from the Yan Diomande deal and, from what I’ve heard, they won’t be going back. The club feel they were messed around by Roc Nation, so they’ve moved on.
I also expect PSG to end up signing both of their winger targets, Diomande and Alikouche, as Carra has mentioned.
As for Barcola, we’re in a really strong position. I believe we’ll beat Arsenal to him, especially as they’re putting most of their focus on Morgan Rogers, bid for Barcola after World Cup.
06 Jul 2026 19:19:22
And I will stand by what I've said for weeks. We will not be signing any 'big stars' this window and I include Barcola in that too. I voiced saying Diomande wouldn't be signing when Carra and Robbo said he would or a great chance of it! No chance in my opinion and looks like I'm right. LFC this window will bring in unknown youngsters or mid range players to be developed to run along side the core we already have.
06 Jul 2026 19:28:52
We don't even need these wingers. We need a goddamn DM and RB. Why aren't we signing them first!!!
06 Jul 2026 17:31:11
I see RedmenTV are getting excited that we’re in for some 17 year old… anyone know if there is anything truth to this and whether he is anywhere near first team ready or just another long-term signing for selling in a few years at profit?
06 Jul 2026 19:22:49
I read it's Mexico's Gilberto Mora.
06 Jul 2026 16:51:50
Hi all,
We were looking at a young winger from Lyon last year, Malick Fofana. Thought we might have went for him as Lyon need the money and Luis Diaz needed replacing. Would he still be an option? Might be in the Belgium team tomorrow if he was called up.
Also still hoping Madrid fans drive Mbappe out as him and his mother have a soft spot for Liverpool.
06 Jul 2026 18:46:56
I might be in the England team if I had been any good at football and been called up.
06 Jul 2026 15:19:16
Hello all,
Not a great update I'm afraid but felt it's worth touching base with you all.
So.
Leipzig have declared to PSG that they would want Ibrahim Mbaye as part of a deal for Yan Diomande.
That changes the landscape of this transfer pretty dramatically if PSG were to accept this.
With Akilouche heading to Paris (as I stated a month or so back) this now opens the door for Barcola to leave if they pursue Diomande further.
We are still there for Yan, we've done a lot of work on the deal but I do get the feeling people at the club are growing tired and are pretty pissed with the players' representatives.
If we sell Gakpo, Barcola is 100% going to be in the conversation for Liverpool but it doesn't help us with the vacancy on the right hand side.
I'd think in the coming week we will likely start hearing a lot of rumours, most of which take with a pinch of salt.
I'll keep you updated if I hear anything concrete.
Ta.
06 Jul 2026 16:01:52
Cheers for the update, Carra. Much appreciate these updates.
Is the door open by any chance for a Mo 1 year deal? If we end up signing no one there this summer, it might be a shout.
06 Jul 2026 16:04:21
Cheers, Carra, appreciate the update as always, even though it's not the best of news.
06 Jul 2026 16:06:10
Thanks for sharing, Carra, as always.
I think we're all getting tired of his representatives at this point.
Unfortunately, right wing is the number one priority for us this summer, so we need to make sure we get it right!
06 Jul 2026 16:18:20
Thank you, Carra.
It's a tough transfer market in many ways.
Resources to give up Diomande and then sell Gakpo and
buy left, right wingers and strikers, a center midfielder.
I wish I could buy a running back on the right.
06 Jul 2026 16:26:52
Thanks Cara, in your next update, can you also provide backup options/plans on right wing assuming Diomande transfer is looking less likely day by day?
06 Jul 2026 16:28:52
Carra, my problem with PSG is on the right they have Desire Doue and Diomande is nowhere that level, he might push Barcola but for me PSG have now become the best club side in the world.
I don't see how Diomande makes them better, he gets nowhere near the first team.
I don't think they are stupid and they are better ways to improve the squad and team and Diomande is not it for them.
06 Jul 2026 16:29:33
Nice one Carra, we need to move on to other targets. We're being toyed with, unfortunately.
Not many good choices though, fear we don't end up with either Yan or Barcola tbh.
Looking bleak.
06 Jul 2026 16:29:36
Appreciate the update.
As much as we want him, I don't think we can afford to lose anymore time trying to get this deal over the line. Still so many signings to make.
I think we have to accept the left hand side will be more dominant than the right for the next few years.
It doesn't seem like there's anyone available that can come in this summer and improve us on the RW.
06 Jul 2026 16:40:04
Have a real strong feeling this window is going to be a massive let down leaving a lot of fans, myself included, extremely disgruntled. Just don't see us doing much business at all with these frankly absurd prices this summer.
Also, gonna stick my neck on the line and say we're definitely not signing Diomande or Barcola.
06 Jul 2026 16:47:41
Imho, they should throw the kitchen sink at Rayan, looks a better player to my eye anyway (and can also play CF). I'd do the same for Bouaddi too (who apparently can also play RB). Those two alone would go a long way to sorting our problem positions, and with that big outlay, maybe more Munoz-like signings for the other areas.
06 Jul 2026 16:55:07
Cheers, Carra.
Time is ticking on the window.
06 Jul 2026 16:57:11
Cheers, Carra.
Maybe it's time to just move on. Why would our hierarchy wanna deal with a player's reps who are so blatantly awful to deal with?
Either test Bayern's resolve with a 140 mil bid for Olise, or go for someone like Kroupi, who would be a fair bit cheaper and can play anywhere across the front, or maybe even Minteh from Brighton.
Quick, young and busts a gut up and down... not so sure on his end product tho...
06 Jul 2026 17:01:50
What we need above anything else, is 2 maybe 3 top midfielders, we might lose Macallister, Endo, maybe Jones, n Grav needs to get back to doing when we won the league, strengthen the midfield n it helps the defence and attack, then we can worry about wingers.
06 Jul 2026 17:02:23
Remember when our scouts went to Salzburg and we signed Minamino?
There was another player playing for Salzburg at that time that went to Dortmund.
Or when we signed Keita from them, or even Konate.
Ya, maybe we should never sign our first choice with Red Bull clubs. It kinda bodes well for us.
06 Jul 2026 17:12:51
We've known Salah was leaving for months and months.
Sounds like another Hughes masterclass to me. Pinning all the hopes and dreams on one player, and end up with Summerville and Bowen. 😂😂
06 Jul 2026 17:24:59
Yes, we knew Salah was leaving months, and we've been working on Diomande. They've done a lot of work to try to get him. If he ends up at PSG I don't see how that's a stick to beat Hughes with. And a club could do a lot worse than end up with Bowen. Top little player.
06 Jul 2026 17:32:03
Cheers Carra.
06 Jul 2026 17:46:02
Cheers, Carra. Thanks for taking the time to keep us in the loop. 👊
06 Jul 2026 17:55:27
@grino75, ... I've said exactly the same for long enough. Which is just one of the reasons why PSG Won't buy him; swap deal or not.
He will not go to PSG unless RBL sell him for a ridiculously low fee - which will not happen.
PSG do not just buy 100mil players anymore for the sake of it, especially when they won't get in the 1st 11.
PSG are looking at bigger fish, Olise is one of those.
06 Jul 2026 17:23:48
F**k Diomande and Barcola, get Mika Godts an highjack the Akilouche deal
06 Jul 2026 18:22:48
Cheers Carra, getting sick of this Diamande s*** show.
Need to move on, hopefully the club have other signings going on behind the scenes.
06 Jul 2026 15:08:20
Hi all, used to post bits on Twitter a few years back don’t get as much info anymore. But I have a couple bits to share.
There has been a pretty significant misunderstanding regarding Thiago’s recent comments to Rio Ferdinand. When he mentioned not having the right badges, he wasn’t saying he can't coach at all; he was specifically referring to the badges required to be a Head Coach at a club of Liverpool’s stature.
As for his next step, a move to join Andoni Iraola’s backroom staff is absolutely still on the cards. It is nowhere near dead; Thiago has spoken directly with Iraola a few times now to discuss the role and how he would fit into the setup.
Liverpool are pushing heavily to secure Eli Junior Kroupi. The driving force behind the pursuit is his sheer versatility—the recruitment team is obsessed with the fact that he can play at a high level as an attacking midfielder, off the left, or right through the middle as a striker.
Kroupi is a player Andoni Iraola has been highly vocal about wanting. With the obvious synergy between Iraola and Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes, that internal recommendation has carried massive weight, as Iraola knows the player very well from his time at Bournemouth. Liverpool are now moving to get him in. The player has given the green light to join.
06 Jul 2026 15:36:48
Would be great if both of these happen, Kroupi and Thiago. Kroupi could be difficult, no? Spurs have been heavily linked, and seem to be acting fast on these things.
06 Jul 2026 15:42:19
Yeah I'd take that! Cheers for sharing!
06 Jul 2026 17:27:11
Kroupi would be a nice addition. Would love if Thiago came onboard. Thanks for clearing that up. I thought any chance of bringing him was gone.
06 Jul 2026 18:06:08
Kroupi would be a good signing. Not many young players from abroad perform at his level in their 1st season in prem. But, when you think he was 19/20 yo, it's impressive.
Also, I like the fact we haven't heard his name thrown about in media, gives me hope it could be like how we used to do business. Especially after how we went about Munoz transfer.
06 Jul 2026 18:10:22
What did Shankly, Paisley, Fagan, Dalglish, Clough, Ferguson have in common: Besides every one of them winning the League/PL.
Not one of them had an FA Coaching Badge!
Football isn't taught in a classroom? It's taught on grass, that's where the examinations really start!
Every one of the Managerial Elite above would have told the FA to "shove them up where the Sun don't shine"?
06 Jul 2026 11:41:57
Not a rumour - but more a question. Now that Spurs have Tonali and Fernandes, do you think they would entertain selling Archie Gray and could we be interested? Always enjoy watching him play, he's all round a very good CM and can cover RB too.
06 Jul 2026 13:31:08
I reckon they'd be silly to sell him. Still young and will do well in that midfield group.
06 Jul 2026 14:20:37
Have to say, I am a fan of Archie, I'll be very interested to see how he develops. I think he has plenty of potential, and he's dynamic too, kinda lad you could chuck in anywhere, and he'd do a decent job for you. I remember there was a rumour or two we might be interested a few months back, but I haven't seen anything since.
06 Jul 2026 14:30:26
Would 100% take him, but even if Spurs were willing to do business, it would likely take silly money, so a complete non-starter. I think there was some hope a few months back that if they got relegated that we might be able to pick him up for a reasonable fee, but that ship's sailed now.
06 Jul 2026 14:57:56
I think Archie Gray is decent, but would not want to break the bank for him.
For me, he is one of them players that come through the academy, and you love them, but you don't go and spend big money on.
There are far better players out there for way less than overrated British players go for.
06 Jul 2026 15:43:03
Would take Gray all day. Will become a top player, already well on the way to being one. And, like someone said, the fact he could do a job at Rb, a place we're bare in, is another bonus.
{Ed001's Note - what do you see in him? I just don't see a top player there at all.}
06 Jul 2026 17:03:37
How is Archie Gray better than Gravy? Or Macca? Aint a DM. How does he solve any problems?
06 Jul 2026 17:35:44
Thristforwirtz, my Nan gets in ahead of Macca at the moment. Gray wouldn't be coming in as a starter, he doesn't really solve any problems, he'd be brought in for his potential, he's only a young lad. He'd be an ideal replacement for Jones if he's on his way out.
06 Jul 2026 09:13:43
Nyoni attracting interest from Swansea, apparently. Club wants a loan but are open to a sale for around £7m. Source: online rumours.
06 Jul 2026 10:02:47
"Source online rumours" doesn't really tell us a lot, but I do like it. 🤣
06 Jul 2026 10:16:48
7m for Nyoni? Wow, that's a steal for a player with his potential! I hope it's just rumors.
06 Jul 2026 10:22:50
It was in the Swansea local paper and in TransferFeed yesterday about a loan move for Nyoni.
06 Jul 2026 10:25:28
Swansea are now managed by former Liverpool coach Vitor Matos, who's worked with Nyoni. Would be an ideal plan imo, or if we do want to sell then insert a sell on clause or first buy back.
06 Jul 2026 10:32:19
I would see this as a real failure of the club if we're selling Nyoni now.
He's barely been given a look either on loan or in the first team. I don't believe that will be due to his training ethic at all.
I would much rather keep him in the squad than sell him for peanuts now. But we need to use him and see what he can do.
06 Jul 2026 10:46:57
Sure thing. They can pay the £7m if they want to have him on loan for a session, but we ain't selling the boy for that, no way!
06 Jul 2026 10:54:16
I'm not sure what others have seen in Nyoni. Never looked remarkable to me. Sell him with a buy back clause similar to the Quansah deal in case he kicks on.
06 Jul 2026 11:47:41
When has he been given a proper chance, @livered? He is very good at line-breaking passes, and it is something which is at a premium in football these days (as Wharton's price tag demonstrates). He is the sort of talent we should be nurturing. Also, I feel rumours about young and/or fringe players being sold can be put to rest, until Iraola has actually had a chance to look over them.
There's absolutely no logic to selling anyone now, when the new manager hasn't even seen how well they would fit into the system.
06 Jul 2026 12:50:23
Why are our teenagers with potential worth £7m but others are worth over £100m?
Not happy with this strategy by the club.
06 Jul 2026 12:54:56
MK will be gutted, he is convinced he will be a major part of the squad this season... I'd loan him out, see how he gets on. Not sure if he has had a loan yet.
06 Jul 2026 13:29:14
I don't think he's had anywhere the number of minutes for anyone to say whether he can cut it in the Prem or not. He looks like a neat player with an eye for a good pass, but there's just no evidence to say much about him.
I shouldn't think the club is in a hurry to sell him, but a year out on loan at Swansea wouldn't hurt him. He does look a bit on the skinny side.
06 Jul 2026 13:32:25
Really hope we don't sell him, we need to go back to developing our own talent again as the prices for players are getting ridiculous and he's someone who has a bright future!
Play him more this season and hope he kicks on!
06 Jul 2026 13:37:15
I really would, Strom. I at least hope he gets pre-season with Iraola before we make a rash decision. He's a very gifted footballer and we'd be foolish to sell him now whilst his value is so low.
06 Jul 2026 14:25:02
Fully agree, Ron. I can't wrap my head around how we're constantly shafted in the market. I swear nobody pays us what our players are worth since the whole Coutinho fiasco!
06 Jul 2026 14:34:55
No chance we sell him any time soon, imo. A loan is definitely an option if Iraola doesn't think he'll get many minutes next season, but based on the fact we're already running a very small squad with little seemingly happening in terms of incomings this summer, I reckon he'll probably stay.
06 Jul 2026 15:27:03
I'd like to see him stay and given a go. If he doesn't impress by Christmas, loan him in January. Defo don't sell tho, not yet anyways.
06 Jul 2026 16:03:25
@Ron, it isn't a club strategy, it's a rumour about one young player who may be loaned out to get game time as the next step in the progression of his career.
06 Jul 2026 17:04:36
MK, has he had a loan yet n if so how did he get on.
06 Jul 2026 17:08:18
What potential? We lost to Crystal Palace 3 -0 at Anfield when he started, and he was abysmal beyond belief. There is nothing to say anything to warrant the praise he gets on here.
He is.
05 Jul 2026 21:25:46
Hello,
New to this site, by pure luck, I managed to get some information, this will probably be the only post I will ever have that can actually contribute.
My best friend is a professional football player, in the current window he got the opportunity to sign in one of the C-level leagues in Europe.
He invited me to come with him as part of his entourage for the signing and first few days of accommodation in his new place.
For my great surprise and pleasure, the welcoming party in the classroom was lead by one of our former players. And as a die hard fan, I talked with him for a long time everytime I had the chance, mostly about the clubs, the fans, and specific moments he was part of.
When we talked about the current status of the club, he told me that from the few friends he still have at the club, that he speak with from time to time (some of the day-to-day veterans of the clubs that he was in good contact, from the hospitality team that accompany the "foreign" players of the club and helping them during their time in the club, not a higher up or negotiation/financial side) he shared with him, that the club is under huge mess internally, a lot of leaks about inner relationships, a lot of leaks that some time are intentional to push ideas and make buzz within social media, in order to push some agendas and transfers that there are some dissagremnt about them within the scouting teams, to create a "fan" pressure to act and get approval and support.
This thing created huge internal battles in the club, and also huge upset from the club toward some journalists that weakened the club stand on some negotion related issue. In terms of what's going on right now, he told him that Hughes was destined to leave, and he was tasked with the Salah replacement signing, and this was supposed to be it's only duty due to big reshuffling of profiles and target players style to this window after the change with the head coach. But the salah replacement was a task he started way before everything, and needed to happen either way.
I asked him if he told him something about Diomonde or Barcola, he told him, that in the hospitality team they were told to drop everything related to his accommodation and pre-orginzing of the entire support network that they need to build for him, so he thinks it's completely dead.
And in regard of Barcola, they still have the superficial pre-tasks and information that they will need to do if it will happen, he said that there is uncertainty about this, that's way the hospitality team doesn't start officially work on it with laying groundwork for a potential arrival. And it's apparently because there is still talks to be made, regarding potential position on right side and not his preferd left side, but this is his assumption, not something he was told officaly when he received the order about him.
In regards to other signing, the club is right now assessing potential target, there is no leading negotiation team, Edwards is also close to leave, and there are discustions on who will lead, because Edwards in not really up for it or had bust with FSG.
So right now, the hospitality team member thinks Iraola will get time to assess the players if there are positions he think are more/less crucial. And right now they are much more open to potential ideas for targets from Iraola, like the Munez case.
I asked them about the players the are being linked right now, If his friend in the club told him. He said that none of the name that are circulating now are actual targets. They were, and the names right are either pushed names by several members to try to force signing trough buzz. Or names that are just being recycled in the media. But no signing is close, because they didn't received any new tasks for ground work they need to do for prepare for any arrivals.
That's pretty much what I managed to get out. Maybe he knew more but didn't shared, which is completely fine.
I was just happy to meet him, and also get a peek into the club summer.
I trust him.
I know some other guys her with far more reputation here said something else, I don't know there sources, I don't doubt they have connections, but I got told something completely else from what they share, maybe different sources have different information level.
Any way.
I initially wrote the club and player name.
But I don't want to create a problem for my friend in his new club. So I deleted the club name, league name, and ex-player name, also to the reason I don't want to risk his contact if that is known that they are still in touch.
All the best, hope for good news soon.
05 Jul 2026 22:16:07
Not reading all that.
05 Jul 2026 22:36:46
No ex player is going into that much detail with someone they just met, lmao.
Even if they did have any kind of information.
05 Jul 2026 22:39:16
With respect, that makes little sense. But thank you for your time.
05 Jul 2026 22:51:07
Cheers, BF9. Appreciate you taking the time to share all that. Interesting theory that with Hughes and Edwards on their way out, we might give more credence to Iraola's choice of players. That was my main takeaway from your post anyway!
05 Jul 2026 23:01:58
Cheers, BF9.
05 Jul 2026 23:05:09
I hope this isn't true, not because I want Diomande, but more because it would reinforce the impression of a dysfunctional set up behind the scenes. I'd be surprised, though, if this was shared with a stranger by an ex player who worked for the club.
The only rumour I've heard about the goings on at the club is through a mate who knows an agent. This gave some colour on a few of the comments Mo made, and why. I won't repeat on here, but it put things in context.
05 Jul 2026 23:26:33
Cheers mate.
For what it's worth, I enjoyed that read...regardless if true or not, but that's the point of this site.
Just a heads up, good call on not sharing any names.
05 Jul 2026 23:32:00
It can all be possible, as far as I am concerned. The truth all eventually comes out in the end.
05 Jul 2026 23:45:29
No longer a physiotherapist then.
05 Jul 2026 23:50:34
AnfieldForge, I know it's long, but the context was very important.
DijkInDiaz.
I met him several times, and had several talks with him, not all on LFC, some about the club and fans and city where this club plays, and also life outside football. I didn't, straight away, try to get information. More than that. I didn't expect him to know anything.
So everything I shared was the natural path the conversation went to.
I understand your skepticism, by the way.
Not saying you have to believe, I don't know if I would believe if I was reading this as well and not experiencing this myself.
Either way. All good. Just maybe added some context if it got lost when I wrote this long message.
05 Jul 2026 23:55:36
See - this is why I'm here. Old school rumours. Thanks, BF9. Much appreciated. Don't worry too much about the people who shoot things down straight away, they've just forgotten how to enjoy things, and can't control the outpourings of criticism.
They could just read the rumours and either dismiss or believe them, but that's not enough these days. Some people can't let a post go by without commenting.
True or not, this is a rumours site, and rumours are welcome.
06 Jul 2026 00:03:52
Keep it coming, BF9. You don't have to have sources or rumours to contribute. There are still some NITKs left.
I don't think the club is dysfunctional, maybe the recruitment team is, and it seems big changes are imminent.
I do know any such dysfunction will be dealt with.
I prefer the scenario where the manager gets time with the squad to properly evaluate the weaknesses before we dive into expensive transfers. More signings like Munoz will do me.
06 Jul 2026 00:14:06
This post reminds me of some fella rambling on in the pub. I lost interest at the something about hospitality and foreigners bit.
06 Jul 2026 00:15:15
Is there some way we can build a polygraph app and make contributors use it as part of posting. There was a time on here when people just used to post rumours which were accepted for what they were.
06 Jul 2026 00:28:09
Love an old school rumour, a lot of it makes sense, but a lot we already knew.
You let yourself down when you said:
"I know some other guys here with far more reputation here said something else, I don't know their sources, I don't doubt they have connections."
Our ITK's are trusted, why would you come on here, admit that you're not ITK, share a rumour and then criticise our real ITK's because some of their info differs from what you've randomly stumbled across?!
06 Jul 2026 00:51:48
Sounds like one of the more credible rumours here, and in line with what Carra, Robbo etc have said.
Some deluded people will believe everything that sounds good, but once there's a hint of negative news they will come on demanding polygraph tests or insisting that it "makes little sense". Just complete fools.
06 Jul 2026 03:03:38
Bf9, thanks for the post. Not sure your itk, but will stick with our regulars.
06 Jul 2026 06:44:42
I'm not sure that comment was criticism of the usual ITKs, Chewy? Nothing he wrote in that sentence there sounds like a dig.
06 Jul 2026 06:54:48
BF9,
It is ironical for someone who has the smallest name, to post such a huge post. ;)
06 Jul 2026 07:50:17
If people continue to criticise others for posting, then this site will slowly die.
Posts like that are what this page has been built on, and posters shouldn’t feel like hey can’t post anything they hear.
He doesn’t claim to be ITK, he seems quite humble about meeting a former player and doesn’t bash the real ITK’s one bit.
Others should stop being so critical when the news is not exactly what they want to hear.
Keep posting, fella!!!
06 Jul 2026 07:58:38
Had to login to say loved the read!
Clearly, within the purpose of this site.
06 Jul 2026 12:29:12
Thanks for sharing, but I'm not buying it myself. I still maintain over half our problems were down to Slot and I'm reserving judgement until I see the change in tactics and at least a bit of pre season.
06 Jul 2026 13:27:51
It isn't anywhere near in line with what Robbo or Carra think, @Potong passer. And the read for me made little sense, but I was gracious and thanked him. So stop digging out people when you clearly don't even have a gist of what he's talking about. You look the fool.

Not sure where you got he was criticising the ITKs from Chewy?

Something seems sincere about that original post. Cheers la.

Hi all,
There was considerable interest in Pedro Neto during Klopp's tenure. That interest has since disappeared as far as I am aware.
05 Jul 2026 14:38:50
Thank you, Victor.
I'd like to recruit someone from Diomande Barcola and get a good central midfilter.
Things aren't so optimistic, are they?
05 Jul 2026 15:28:45
To be honest, I'm quite optimistic. There's a lot of good work being done behind the scenes. The board are trying to put Iraola in the best position heading into next season.
I don't expect Diomande to sign. As I stated a few days back, I believe his agency fiddled us. I'm very optimistic about Barcola and Wharton, which would be two great signings.
05 Jul 2026 15:59:42
I'm relieved to hear that you're positive.
I think right wing, center midfielder, and right side back are reinforcement positions.
Who is the main target of our team?
05 Jul 2026 16:08:56
Personally don't think Wharton improves us in the middle, just another tippy-tappy slow moving soft lad and for the money Parish wants we should walk away.
05 Jul 2026 16:15:51
I am losing interest in football. Buy buy. Want more. Football manager. It's for the birds.
05 Jul 2026 17:28:39
I don't think Warton is anything special and went backwards this season.
05 Jul 2026 17:33:50
Fully concur VV,
Wharton can't get in the England World Cup squad, so not to our standards either, which are far higher than Tuchel's, plus posters have short memories, regards Parish treatment with reference to Guehi in two transfer windows?
William Gomes, 80 million release clause Porto winger (circa 20), latest rumour for replacing Salah, not with the current Brazil World Cup squad in USA, again Rayan is in the squad, a much better choice.
Ancelotti said recently of Rayan, "Nobody knows what level he can reach", he's more a team player, not an individual.
05 Jul 2026 17:50:12
Victor, I have heard we will look to Igor Thiago as an option as Isak is prone to injury and Ekitike is out long term. Have u heard anything about that, thanks.
05 Jul 2026 17:50:30
Tuchel left any creativity out of the England squad, so not sure his squad selection is a good judge of a player's quality. Not sure what Wharton you are watching, but he is not tippy tappy. He is a through ball machine, with a wand of a left foot, and a right foot that isn't bad either.
05 Jul 2026 18:42:53
We are not looking at Igor Thiago, no. The club are not interested in signing a striker as of present.
05 Jul 2026 20:51:31
William Gomes can't get in the Brazil World Cup squad, so not to our standards either, which are far higher than Ancelotti's.

Signing Wharton means you're starting Grav, Wharton & Wirtz as your midfield 3 pretty regularly. That's not an Iraola midfield, and that's certainly not a midfield that's going to achieve anything positive in the league. It's why I don't believe there's any real interest in signing Wharton this summer.

Cheers, VG.

@Richlondon, from my perspective, I still love watching football.
What I don't like is all the crap it comes wrapped up in these days -
FIFA rescinding an American footballer's suspension and being thanked by the President and Secretary of State,
Agents lining their pockets.
Talking heads in the all powerful social media.
Most sadly, the change from discussions about footy in the pub to 24x7 non-stop drivel masquerading as an opinion (just like this), and the desire for instant gratification without any effort on the part of the person expecting / demanding the gratification, along with an overwhelming multitude who think they are experts because they watch matches that they stream.
Time for another one of my tablets.

I'm sorry, but getting selected for your international team is not an indication of greatness for me.
Fowler, McManaman weren't exactly England regulars. Trent, love him or hate him, he was a good player for us, couldn't get in much.
An international team's standards and requirements can be very different from club football.
