Been told Arsenal are close to getting Bouaddi possibly to replace Odegarrd who is of interest to Ath Madrid.
17 Jun 2026 10:49:26
4 CBs, 3 DMs and 2 wingbacks. We need to come up with a new name, as haram ball won't cut it anymore about Arteta.
17 Jun 2026 11:27:00
Real must have left the race.
17 Jun 2026 11:31:17
Ok, Dan-Ish,
How about Eddie Waring's "Up and Under"?
Apologies to all those under 60, who probably have never heard of him.
17 Jun 2026 11:57:00
False. Been told from Carol in LFC Kitchen that big order for couscous and tagine have been placed.
17 Jun 2026 12:04:15
I love me some Couscous and Tagine, myself.
17 Jun 2026 12:15:52
Not long back from Morocco, and given how crap their airport and staff are, if he were to sign, he wouldn't arrive till next season.
Impossible to get out of that place!
16 Jun 2026 22:35:29
Real Madrid have apparently entered chase for Bouaddi.
16 Jun 2026 22:44:31
To sit on the bench for 4 years?
16 Jun 2026 22:45:02
Nope. He won't go there. It's either Arsenal or us.
16 Jun 2026 23:59:30
PSG or us, I think.
17 Jun 2026 03:25:36
LFC or Arsenal because he wants to go to England.
17 Jun 2026 05:29:35
It's going to be us. He's a huge fan of Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas.
17 Jun 2026 05:51:12
How long do Rm have to wait until Bouaddi is on a free?
17 Jun 2026 10:02:05
In Morocco, they've named a vast riverbed after him. I've just booked to visit the Bouaddi Wadi. I'll sit with the missus under the moon of love.
17 Jun 2026 10:29:32
RobbyRoll wins the internet.
17 Jun 2026 12:17:40
Real Madrid will be speaking to him over the next move aka in four years time, mate, leave *insert club here* for free and join us for a nice sign on fee.
16 Jun 2026 22:06:23
Double downing on Robbo’s post.
Yan Diomande almost certainly gets done now.
A big legal hurdle has been overcome in the last hours.
The structure of deal and final price shouldn’t be an issue from here. The difficult part of the transfer has been boxed off.
Ta.
{Ed025's Note - nice one Carra..
16 Jun 2026 22:26:05
Cheers Carra. 🍻
16 Jun 2026 22:29:44
That's great news, cheers, Carra.
16 Jun 2026 22:33:29
Awesome stuff Carra and Robbo.
16 Jun 2026 22:35:05
Come on! Our most exciting signing since.... Wirtz.
16 Jun 2026 22:35:49
Cheers Carra.
16 Jun 2026 22:35:56
Cheers, Carra, that's great news.
16 Jun 2026 22:41:11
Fantastic news, Carra.
16 Jun 2026 23:26:07
Cheers, Carra. If we can get this deal over the line, we can relax a bit.
17 Jun 2026 02:14:10
Vamos! Thank you, Carra.
17 Jun 2026 05:43:19
Cheers, Carra.
17 Jun 2026 05:49:53
Thanks, Carra.
Great info as always.
17 Jun 2026 07:30:23
Thanks, Carra.
17 Jun 2026 08:15:27
Cheers, Carra, good news.
17 Jun 2026 08:15:58
Cheers, Carra.
Now that the Diomande deal seems basically done, the one player I'd really like us to push the boat out for is Ayyoub Bouaddi.
Not only does he solve the No. 6 problem we've had since Fabinho left, but at 18, he could potentially have that position locked down for the next decade.
Players rarely stay at one club that long these days, but either way, you're looking at a long-term solution in a position we've struggled to fill for years.
17 Jun 2026 08:55:05
Thanks, Carra.
17 Jun 2026 09:29:25
Excellent news, thanks for the info, Carra.
17 Jun 2026 11:32:32
All new signings need longer contracts to stop a certain Spanish cheapskate club taking the piss anymore. No more rats jumping ship after we've made the stars.
Can't be a stepping stone club for young unknown/talent to use for their own progression route to other clubs anymore.
Do a Chelsea and stop this tomfoolery now.
17 Jun 2026 12:05:42
Nice one, Carra.
17 Jun 2026 13:18:39
A right back.
Cb.
Dm.
A forward.
Another winger.
Chop, chop, Liverpool.
16 Jun 2026 18:44:33.
Evening Gents.
We have offered Diomande a huge deal, and as far as I'm aware, everything is agreed.
Now it's up to both clubs to agree a fee, Liverpool have a £75m offer approved.
RB Leipzig want upwards of £87m.
Negotiations are well underway.
Cheers.
16 Jun 2026 19:20:55
Great news. I just hope we don't drag our heels over a few million, and just get him signed.
16 Jun 2026 19:24:05
Thanks Robbo.
16 Jun 2026 19:29:19
Cheers, Robbo. Personally, I think £75 million is a fair offer for Diomande, but I'd happily pay £80 million if it gets the deal over the line.
16 Jun 2026 19:32:09
Thanks Robbo, and I agree. Get it done before the World Cup creates an auction for him.
16 Jun 2026 19:43:17
We will break bank for him. It might be overreaction. The way Yamal played yesterday, if you compare it to how Diomande played against Ecuador, Diomande looked superior. ik Diomande needs to prove in bigger stage. But he played against one of the best defence in the World Cup.
16 Jun 2026 19:49:42
Great info, Robbo. Hopefully it gets done ASAP, mate.
16 Jun 2026 19:50:41
Cheers, Robbo. I hope his wages don't start too high, as he needs to earn it, but I also understand we will be fighting off other huge teams. He has big boots to fill.
16 Jun 2026 20:09:42
Cheers, Robbo. Let's hope something is announced asap so he can concentrate on the World Cup. 👍🏻
16 Jun 2026 20:13:14
Good stuff. Let's hope they can meet somewhere in the middle and get it wrapped up. Thanks for the info Robbo.
16 Jun 2026 20:15:42
Surely £75m rising to £87m with easily got add-ons. Hopefully, a good wage will entice him, although Capology has him on 12kpw.
16 Jun 2026 20:20:01
Cheers, Robbo. Really hope this happens. It would be a mega signing!!
16 Jun 2026 20:31:27
12m, Robbo, get it done before he plays too many games in the World Cup and his value shoots up.
16 Jun 2026 20:38:50
A great start to the window. It will be interesting to see who he rotates with. Salah's availability was second to none.
16 Jun 2026 20:43:44
Great news, Robbo. Let's hope we can get this across the line.
16 Jun 2026 20:45:25
Brilliant Robbo. 👏
16 Jun 2026 20:52:12
Nice one Robbo! Doubt the club will want this to drag on any longer, the way he's playing atm.
16 Jun 2026 21:04:33
Hopefully get it wrapped up asap. If Barcola agrees a move to Arsenal, then PSG might come back in for him.
16 Jun 2026 21:17:17
Nice one, Robbo, lad.
Work out the fine details/numbers and let's crack on.
16 Jun 2026 21:49:17
Cheers, Robbo.
16 Jun 2026 22:05:19
Thanks, Robbo, appreciate you info.
16 Jun 2026 22:41:47
87m for a 19 year old with 1 season under his belt with 12 goals, footie is well and truly gone, has been for a long time. Cheers for the info Robbo.
16 Jun 2026 22:55:41
It's better than last week, @Port. Didn't I see the asking price was over £100m last week?
16 Jun 2026 23:40:35
I lray he doesn't get injured in the World Cup.
16 Jun 2026 23:59:03
Would be nice to see him signing officially, although I don't really name how good he is. Barcola was amazing today, totally contrast to his performance in the CL final.
17 Jun 2026 00:35:32
He's a week older, WDW.
Thyme and tied weight for Norman.
17 Jun 2026 02:15:07
Good news, Robo
Who's next target?
17 Jun 2026 04:36:11
Yea, bid millions on a player that's at the WC and will play every game for his country, and I don't want to say it, but with our luck I know what will happen at the WC.
17 Jun 2026 05:44:10
Cheers Robbo.
17 Jun 2026 08:18:47
Cheers Robbo, appreciated as always.
16 Jun 2026 12:13:50
LFC exploring Schlotterbeck.
Josh Holme looking likely to be another academy scoop.
Contacted Bouaddi, no deal to after WC similar to Yan.
Bradley Barcola open to move, Arsenal also in the race.
Best
BigEars.
16 Jun 2026 14:07:37
Sounds good to me, big ears.
Noddy.
16 Jun 2026 14:20:29
Cheers, BigEars.
16 Jun 2026 15:36:30
6GS, You win the internet today. 👏🏆
16 Jun 2026 15:45:44
Couldn't resist!
16 Jun 2026 16:49:35
Yesterday I was convinced Barcola would sign for us. Since then, though, I've had a sleep and changed my mind. I want to see a Diomande, Isak and Wirtz front 3. Wirtz and Diomande being able to seamlessly alternate sides makes it even more salivating.
16 Jun 2026 17:26:20
Absolutely no way should Wirtz be out on the wing. Wirtz should be sitting behind the front 3 pulling the strings. Your wingers need to be pacey to get round their man.
Look at all the recent winners of the big trophies.
All had good pacey, tricky wingers. Look at PSG, Man City, Us in 2017 onwards.
Rio/Barcola. Isak. Yan Da man.
Wirtz.
Camara. Szobo.
Kerkez. VVD. Jaquet. Palestra.
Alisson.
16 Jun 2026 17:50:29
Indeed, Neff73. I don't know where this "Wirtz on the left" crap came from esp. when you consider last season where Slot played him there and was completely crap.
16 Jun 2026 17:59:49
I'm not with you on that, MK. I agree with Neff73. Most importantly, I want Wirtz in a floating 10 position, finding space and making the killer pass. The wingers need to be able to beat a man and get to the touch line and put a cross in, to get the best out of Isak.
Barcola and Diomande would be the priority signings for me, even if we had to sell Gakpo to fund it. If we could only get one, because of the cost, then I'm not against bringing back Darwin to make up the numbers.
16 Jun 2026 18:14:27
If Wirtz is not in the centre he should not be in the side. I know he's meant to have done well coming in off the wing in the Bundesliga, but he's been anonymous when he's played there for Liverpool. Watching him out there is, for me, like looking at Harvey Elliott out on the right. Both will give it a go, have good attitudes, but we are trying to win things here.
He gets outmuscled and outpaced by too many of these Premier League RBs. If we sign a couple of wingers and a top midfielder, I think Wirtz is gonna find it hard enough trying to get in the first 11, never mind trying to impress in a position I struggle to remember him having a good game in at the club.
16 Jun 2026 18:18:56
I mean he literally plays on the left for Germany and played there mostly for Leverkusen, Oli, so whilst you're free to disagree it's a bit harsh to call it "crap" haha. Cheers though, mate, going to go cry myself to sleep now.
I can see why people want Wirtz in the midfield 3 but I just don't fancy him there to be honest.
It reminds me of when Trent looked good drifting into the midfield from RB, but struggled when played as an actual midfielder. I think Wirtz looks more dangerous drifting into central areas than if he's actually played in there as a starting position.
It's all subjective though, unless you're the all knowing oracle like Oli!
16 Jun 2026 18:20:25
It's a bit of a conundrum with Wirtz for me, he's undoubtedly elite level, and I mean a proper elite footballer, somebody you build your team around. However, it's clear even when playing in a 10 he likes to pop up in space from the left a lot of the time, and he takes up the spaces you'd naturally find your left winger in.
Obviously, this is only his starting position, as he rarely goes down the outside but comes inside to find the pockets in there. I feel with him, another left winger and Kerkez, those spaces are going to become non-existent and quite a bit congested, making him look pretty ineffective as well as the other 2 players.
Germany usually deploys him from the left, and I think to myself, would he be naturally more comfortable in the left spot of a front 3, coming in as a more inverted attacking midfielder rather than an out and out winger, allowing for Kerkez to make his runs into the space Wirtz leaves to go inside and create.
Whatever we do going forward though, Florian has to be at the centre of it all. I'm not bothered about how it's started for him at us or what others think of him, I believe this lad is and is going to be a very special footballer for us!
16 Jun 2026 18:22:05
To be fair, Wirtz played on left against Madrid and probably his best game. But I agree he should be behind, but for me he should be behind a front 2.
16 Jun 2026 18:30:52
Florian Musiala, I don't think you can judge Wirtz on the left for us fairly because the system was not right. When he played there for Leverkusen, he had Grimaldo bursting past him. When he played there for Germany, he had Brown bursting past him. When he played there for us, he had Kerkez being told to sit back tucked in as a 3rd CB most of the time. Wirtz needs that selfless run to take a player away from him and give him the space to hurt teams with his vision.
If you let Kerkez loose to bomb past Wirtz next season, then that allows Wirtz to drift inside without us lacking width down the left.
It also means Wirtz will be primarily operating from central areas, but he'd be overloading the midfield, making it much harder for the opposition to pick him up. This is how Leverkusen and Germany get Wirtz looking world class. If you play him in a midfield 3 with 3 forwards ahead of him, he's no longer coming in unmarked as an overload, he's already marked by the DM (usually the most aggressive player and best tackler in the team) when he receives the ball, and we're 3 vs 3 in the middle of the park.
Just my opinion, people are entitled to disagree.
16 Jun 2026 18:40:12
The reason he plays on the left for Germany is the same reason he didn't want to join Bayern Munich... Musiala!
I think (hope) Iraola will build the team to get the best out of Wirtz and Isak.
16 Jun 2026 18:42:55
The main reason we don't like Gakpo is because he can't beat his man. He keeps cutting in and having a s***.
Why would we swap him out for Wirtz to do the same thing?
At least from the middle, he can wander where he wants and help create the space by pulling the DM away with him.
Neff.
16 Jun 2026 18:43:44
Spot on for me, to be honest, MK, I share the same view on how to get the best out of him.
16 Jun 2026 18:53:02
I can see what you're saying MK, and I always say, when it comes to Wirtz I somewhat bow to people's superior knowledge on here as I don't watch much Bundesliga. I only go by what I see in Red, and truthfully I'm seriously underwhelmed by him so far. I sometimes think his performances get bigged up too. I've tried to watch Germany this season when I could just to see Wirtz, and where I'd think he'd had a decent game, people would be on here saying he'd absolutely ran the show. Last Sunday was similar.
Was good for the first 30mins then disappeared for me but got his assist so people were over the moon with him. What way does Iraola even play? I'm struggling to remember who was their main LW last season. Does Iraola play with two out and out wingers or does he play with one and a Wirtz/Elliott type? Look, we all want and need the same thing, for Wirtz to succeed. But so far honestly I'd be more worried about him starting games ahead of Dom as the most advanced MF if we sign two direct speedy wingers and a top MF.
16 Jun 2026 18:54:24
I'm so to you, MK, on this one, as much as I'd love Wirtz in the 10 floating behind the 3 forwards, I think at present Wirtz gets eaten up as part of a midfield 3. Perhaps if we get more mobile midfielders as an anchoring 2 in midfield, but I'm not convinced Wirtz as part of a 3 in midfield stacks up in this league.
Perhaps as he develops and adapts to the league he could build physically and maybe develop into a Bernardo Silva type, but for upcoming season I'd prioritise him on LW with a view to playing as described by MK and solidify our Midfield.
16 Jun 2026 19:00:44
The problem with Gakpo, Neff is he's too predictable. When on form he's brilliant at cutting in, getting his shot off, and he either scores or tests the keeper.
I think the problems we saw with Gakpo last season reiterate what I've said above. It's too congested, and with Wirtz as a 10, Gakpo as a winger who is more of an inside forward and Kerkez who is an overlapping full back just all get in the way of each other, and it's easy for teams to mark them out of the game completely.
That's the whole left side becoming ineffective essentially. For me, (which is something Slot didn't do enough of) you set your team tactics up to compliment the best attributes of the players you have at your disposal.
16 Jun 2026 19:09:29
I agree with MK. He plays there for Germany and always looks good. People saying he was rubbish last season playing there. Well, everyone was rubbish last season playing anywhere! I followed him at Leverkusen, and whilst not strictly on the left wing, he was the left sided no 10 and so came in from that side and was devastating.
Also means you can have an extra man in the middle in a 433.
16 Jun 2026 19:19:44
He plays a left sided 10, which is very different to what most people think when they hear "plays on the left". People think Mane, Diaz, but it's obviously not like that. Given we are going for Wingers, I think Wirtz will end up through the centre as a 10, but a lot can change with a new approach.
16 Jun 2026 19:34:39
Wirtz on the left is a massive no.
16 Jun 2026 20:05:30
Wasn't a major part of him choosing us over City and Bayern that he got to play in the 10?
16 Jun 2026 20:13:36
The slow build last season stifled all attacking players including Wirtz. He can definitely play on the left, but like mk says, if he has an overlapping fullback. Wirtz can definitely beat a man, but we need to find him sooner when he's not surrounded by every other player on the pitch.
16 Jun 2026 20:24:48
OilRed, you ask where this "play off the left" stuff comes from. Maybe every single game of his career? He's always started left and drifted inside to find the space and a full back bombing on. The only time he has ever played 10 is for us, and it really hasn't worked so far.
{Ed001's Note - that's not true. He has not 'always' started left. Alonso rarely even played a full-back at Leverkusen to bomb on.}
16 Jun 2026 23:04:19
To be fair, there was no real point in playing a 10 with Slot's game plans. To be honest, I'm not hung up on where Wirtz plays. If we play a proper style of attacking football, he will be an asset on the left or in the middle.
He reminds me a bit of Pablo Aimar and it would be great to see him get the chance to show what he can properly do in a Reds shirt.
17 Jun 2026 08:27:38
Neff, I remember Gakpo cutting in and having a shot but never cutting in and having a ****.
16 Jun 2026 08:37:29
As well as attacking midfielder Xavier Parker (16, Man City), Liverpool are also now looking likely to sign winger Josh Chigwada (14, Everton) and goal keeper Zach Trinder (14, Wolves).
16 Jun 2026 08:52:44
Can they play RB 🤭😉
16 Jun 2026 08:57:22
Darren Motsi from Leicester to MK.
16 Jun 2026 09:27:55
I'm all for strengthening the academy, but it would be nice to find some talent of our own rather than just stealing everybody else's.
16 Jun 2026 09:43:39
Luca Eden and Josh Abe are two of the biggest talents in the country, Shipley, been there since they were babies. I quite like what we’re doing, picking up some of the best talents in the country. People always worry about homegrown quotas, the academy is where we should be filling that quota from.
16 Jun 2026 09:57:39
Ignoring club loyalties, anyone worried about the trade in kids being exploitative? Feels to me like they should stay at home until they are 18.
16 Jun 2026 10:02:59
100% agree, SK. Is that not what the academy is for. 🤷♂️
16 Jun 2026 10:25:06
It feels wrong that football has got to a point where we are talking about people who have just hit puberty.
I don't think teams should be able to sign people who are yet to finish school.
Of course there are areas where it can be beneficial for the person. Say, for example, someone in poverty, who could benefit from a deal resulting in a change in financial situation.
16 Jun 2026 10:43:24
Am I right in saying there used to be a certain distance from the club you could sign youth players from? Unless you moved their family up? Ah, look, it's been going on years. Wasn't Messi brought over to La Masia at 13 from Argentina?
16 Jun 2026 11:42:09
So are we buying a new academy at this rate?
16 Jun 2026 11:48:38
Apparently the young goalie is seen as the best keeper at Academy level.
16 Jun 2026 12:40:11
The PSG youth coach that we poached is supposed to be a miracle worker, which is partly why we are stacking up these young players.
Rio's cameos this season have signalled that the pathways to our first team are open.
16 Jun 2026 13:43:42
FSW, what PSG coach?
16 Jun 2026 14:12:07
Jojo, I agree, 18 years old should be the norm. Otherwise the kids have leeches, sorry agents, engineering them moves.
16 Jun 2026 15:30:32
Barry, check out - Bafode Diakhaby, who did a decade at PSG.
16 Jun 2026 15:52:22
Luca Eden looks like he could be as good as Gerrard. Fingers crossed he makes it to first team for us and spends whole career here.
16 Jun 2026 16:13:56
The % of young players who actually make the grade is ridiculously small, but at least we are finally in the game. Our youth ranks will be packed with hyped youngsters.
16 Jun 2026 17:35:52
Scouse J, ... Seen a bit of him the other day, he does remind me of Gerrard.
16 Jun 2026 18:04:48
Personally, I think we should start collecting the sperm of our best talents while they're in their prime so we can make an entire squad of test-tube super players. They'll never leave Liverpool if the club is technically their parent!
That way we don't even have to 'steal' talent off their parents either and we'll be able to call them real Liverpool-bred players.
16 Jun 2026 00:34:00
According to several reports, Schlotterbeck's release clause is between £43-£51m. Absolute steal for that price and I hope the club gets it done. It's active from this summer and only a few clubs with us being one.
16 Jun 2026 04:30:05
Did you know perm is short for permanent wave and spelled perm, not purm?
Can I suggest a new user name as an alternative:
Isak's Blinks?
16 Jun 2026 04:57:03
How about "Itch Isak".
16 Jun 2026 05:39:41
It could be that KP is from Northside of Dublin, where perm would be pronounced purm?
16 Jun 2026 06:14:25
Oh, and no 'e' on the end of potato unless you're heading towards a plural!
16 Jun 2026 06:53:34
It was Keegan's perm, but I forgot my password, so changed it.
16 Jun 2026 07:27:40
I see the spelling police are out!
16 Jun 2026 08:03:07
Has Michelle Keegan had a perm or purm, then?
16 Jun 2026 08:55:29
Rigsby, I'm still waiting for the impending nuptials between you and Miss Jones. I have the hat bought and all, mate.
16 Jun 2026 08:59:43
As an avid Dortmund fan half the reason dortmund don't win anything is Nico. Just watch Dortmund play. I will not touch any defender from Bundesliga Liga where Bayern score 120+ goals every season for fun.
Either build from youth we bought or buy someone that truly replaces vvd like lacroix, bastoni or collins.
16 Jun 2026 09:56:16
Have you kept the receipt for the hat, Barry?
I'm back to calling her Miss Jones. 😟
16 Jun 2026 11:42:50
A perm is also a very popular hairstyle.
16 Jun 2026 11:54:13
Cheers, Oli.
16 Jun 2026 13:28:24
We could always go down the avenue of kale perms again ;-).
16 Jun 2026 14:03:54
Lacroix who Palace signed from Wolfsburg, Thirstforwirtz?
17 Jun 2026 00:46:26
Very popular in Belgium, Oli?
16 Jun 2026 00:20:39
Rumours Gakpo has the interest of several clubs including AC Milan, Leipzig, Spurs, Atletico Madrid, Bayern, Villa. I think the club will keep him but if an offer comes in at the club's valuation of £60-£65m, then we will sell.
16 Jun 2026 03:31:14
Can you show me where I can find the club statement that they will sell Gakpo for £60-65m?
{Ed078's Note - can you find any statement from the club in history where they've said what they would sell a player for?
16 Jun 2026 06:43:07
He will likely be moving to Tottenham.
16 Jun 2026 06:54:50
Wdw, how's about you use the internet and search for yourself, buddy.
16 Jun 2026 08:03:10
Blame Chewy for the citing all sources culture and jibes on the site currently.
Hopefully it is a phase that'll pass

I think we are going to get nunez for free put him on the left and cash in on gackpo while his stock is somewhat high.
I still think getting elliott back will save us so much money on RW and we can have salah back for one final dance (if it works financially)
I also think one of the reason salah got so messed up was that we sold nunez and elliott despite both players being absolute professionals and committed to the club. Both nunez and elliott bleed LFC and we desperately needed such charisma around the team last year
I think the club is trying to make amends for last season window where we went a bit too overboard and let players go who were willing to stay and fight for it.
One of the biggest reasons we fell last reason was tactics and team lacked any fight.
It seems far fetched I know but getting nunez elliot and if possible salah back and signing a new RB and DM is the best plan next season. The same team won the league a season ago. You don't sell players that make notable contributions to a title win. It also gives kids like rio abde best chance to grow.
And actually eliott and nunez are probably the most pressing attackers you can get! And both are free for us!
Put isak in front and wirtz behind and its a formidable attack

The last season we won the League, we played Gakpo on the left, Salah on the right and Diaz through the middle; well, for the most part of the second half of the season. Jota also featured. I don't think Nunez and Elliott started that many games.
16 Jun 2026 10:10:51
Darwin started 8 league games and Harvey two in 24/25.
16 Jun 2026 11:14:19
Florian's correct; Slot was not a fan of Darwin, that was clear from the get-go, he was essentially 3rd choice striker behind Jota and Diaz, had Jota not got injured, Nunez might not have had any league starts at all.
16 Jun 2026 11:36:35
I think we sold him because there were players available who were better, and there was a good offer on the table. In terms of a bench or rotation option, he's decent though, and actually scored a few important goals even though he missed a lot of chances as well.

2 questionable posts from Thristforwirtz in a row. First, citing Collins as a potential Virg replacement and then this absolute wham above.
16 Jun 2026 13:01:02
Collins is miles better than Nico. But, of course, fans want shiny shiny new stuff than people who will do the job in every game without much glamour.
16 Jun 2026 18:14:52
That is a smart move, sell Gakpo for 60m and bring Darwin back for free. Total 120m made in process (made 60m from Darwin sell). I like this way of Madrid style business.
16 Jun 2026 19:53:02
Personally I'd have Darwin over Gakpo any day of the week, none of them have the best scoring records but Darwin offers more than Gakpo in every other way and think regardless of playing on the left or centre he would link up well with Wirtz and score plenty of goals.
I'd sell Mac to fund a decent dm if we can find one, if not then personally I'd give Endo more of a chance - not the biggest or the best but reminds me abit of a terrier full of energy, and he seems to play with more urgency than the rest, possibly other than Dom, plus has a good attitude and can drop back to help in defence when needed to, and could provide time for youngsters to develop and get game time in the cups. Either way Mac needs to go.
I'd probably keep Elliot too as 2nd choice atleast for another season as no chance of Salah coming back.
He'd demand the exact same high wages and would demand to be the star of the team again.
I also think this season we need to see the transition of VVD/x player partnership and test a Leoni and Jacquet partnership if and where we can.
Lastly, and not lastly, I'd make Dom VC, already has experience of being captain, one to hopefully stick around for a while and last year showed he was the only one willing to pull his socks up.
I honestly think Slot was so detrimental to the team and the players' confidence, so I think to judge players on last season or who he preferred is a little unfair so I'd rather judge them on Klopp's opinion of them or by next season.

@Ed78. I know, I knew the answer before I wrote the question.
@ Keegans purm, I can and do read the internet and see the made up transfer fees put up there. It's 99.9% rubbish and I find it funny that people pass made up numbers on here based upon myopic onanists who don't get out much. I shall take your advice where your posts are concerned and search the interweb rather than read the made up stuff that you put on here.

Has Nunez ever played with Wirtz?
No rude jokes, please. We all know that Nunez would miss the target, anyway.
16 Jun 2026 00:14:23
Latest rumour is Elliot to be used in a deal for Bouaddi. With Lille wanting £60m, we are trying to get the price down. Club value Elliot at £25-£30m. Could also be used in the Diomande deal, as Leipzig previously liked Elliot.
Prem clubs interested apparently are:
Leeds
Coventry
Ipswich
Sunderland.

I felt that Nunez failed to live up to the expectations when he signed for us. City paid less in transfer fee to get Haaland. That season was supposed to be Nunez vs Haaland, but we all know how that ended up.
Personally, I don't think we should go back for Nunez.
He's also very hot-headed and prone to get red cards. However, having said that, if Iraola wants him in, I'm sure he has a plan to make Nunez successful the 2nd time around.
If he does come back, I hope he can redeem himself.
16 Jun 2026 06:55:09
Was that not a clause in Haalands contract? In fairnesss ye'd be looking at £200m for Haaland.
16 Jun 2026 08:15:19
Harvey elliott should be playing for Liverpool. True Liverpool inside and out are the kind of players we need. Give the lad a proper chance.
These bouaddi and diamondes are not going to work when the foundation of team is not right.
At the moment apart from vvd and jones do we have a player in that team that bleeds LFC like eliott and nunez used to! Like bobby used to? Like milner and hendo used to? Like robbo used to? That is what we are missing. You need 5-6 players in team that will do anything for the club and manager.
Sign a RB and proper DM ( not a kid with one excellent display) and close this window out with elliott and nunez on free. We desperately need strong characters that love this club inside out for all its rights and wrongs.
I could be wrong but i'd rather be wrong on free rather be wrong on 200M spent.
16 Jun 2026 10:03:00
As far as I can remember, Nunez got 1 red card for headbutting Anderson in his first home game. Emotions were high, and he got frustrated. It happens.
Other than that, though, how many other red cards did he get for you to say he's 'prone' to getting red cards?
16 Jun 2026 11:24:04
We might value Harvey at £30m, but Lille certainly don't. You'd be lucky if they knocked £15m off for him tbh. Seems we're desperate to offload a kid who had bags of potential. Would be better off bringing him back for a season to get his profile up before moving him on.
No more mickey mouse deals either, just a straight sale. We've put a massive dent in the poor kid's career with that stupid Villa deal.
Riosstepover, great headbutt.
16 Jun 2026 11:45:03
Riosstepover, why would we need proof when you can just spout absolute rubbish just to further tarnish a player.
17 Jun 2026 00:56:14
In all his time at Liverpool, Nunez used his head once and got sent off for it.
He was heralded as our Haaland, but we didn't know that it was Alf-Inge after that 'tackle' by Roy Keane.
