Alrighty, now i've sobered up a bit 😂

important for us all as fans to get behind Loris, yea he's messed up today but he's young and he's just played the biggest game of his career and its just unfortunate that it happened to be his worst game of the season. i think its been good experience for the whole squad and we are only going to get stronger from here

We have over achieved by most peoples expectations so let's just be proud of the team and ready to challenge again next season.

He has cost us tonight . I am not saying hang the bloke I am saying he isn’t good enough at this level. You need to face facts and stop going on like a social worker this is football at top level.

2.) 27 May 2018 05:37:11
if you talk to anyone at top level they'll tell you the difference between them and those that never made it is purely mentality. atm he's all we've got and everyone jumping on his backs only going to make matters worse. he's already proven to be pretty resilient but a bit of support and a confidence can make a huge difference.

besides, there's other areas of the pitch that are a higher prority atm and he's still a marked improvement on migs.

If you could take a player from each of the top 6, wages and transfer fees not taken in to account, who would you take? my picks -

City - De Bruyne
United - De Gea
Spurs - Alderweireld
Chelsea - Azpilicueta
Arsenal - Aubameyang

becomes apparent how uninspiring some of these squads are.

Brown_Jesus

{Ed0333's Note - I don’t know about uninspiring Jesus that’s at least 4 excellent players bar Auba.

1.) 20 Apr 2018 03:44:07
For the Liverpool squad? Mostly the same as your list.

City: Kevin De Bruyne - he'd transform our midfield along with Keita. David Silva is a little magician but he's over thirty so KDB would be the man for the future of our midfield. Jesus is good but not on the level of Bobby and frankly I don't see Jesus willing to sit on the bench especially since our front three is one of the best trios in the world. I'd have also have taken Kompany five years ago but his injury problems just continue mounting so KDB is really the only choice

United: David De Gea - I like Karius and he's done well but DDG is a top 3 goalie and when you have the chance to nab someone like him, you take it. I quite like Rashford and I think he'd provide good backup for our front three but at the same time, he needs to be playing or he'd stagnate so there's no point. Sanchez has regressed since joining United and Bailly is injured half the time, and anyway, my pick from Spurs is much the superior option at CB

Spurs: Toby Alderweireld - he's a right-sided CB so can slot in next to VVD, not to mention he's one of the best CBs in the world. He'd also fit right in with our style of play and provide more calmness and leadership at the back

Chelsea: N'golo Kante - I like Azpi and think he'd be great as our RB but our midfield is perhaps the weakest part of the team and Kante is unreal, he'd protect our new-look backline like no one else can. He'd also be perfect for our pressing style of play

Arsenal: Hector Bellerin - there's no real standout player at Arsenal but I'd take Bellerin to solve our RB position for the next ten years or so. TTA and Gomez have done really well this season but their futures lie in other positions on the pitch. Bellerin hasn't really kicked on since breaking out but who has under Wenger recently? I can see Klopp doing better with Bellerin than Wenger has (a la AOC) and help transform him into a top-class wingback.

2.) 20 Apr 2018 04:13:25
The thing is though ed, beyond those players who do you pick

City and chelsea have decent squads but if you look at the united squad? I quite like herrera. Rashford seems decent but neither are world class. Spurs have Eriksen and Kane but beyond that? Rose maybe. Vertonghen? Arsenal are awful atm.

I think most teams would take VVD and our front 3, Robertson has arguably been the best LB in the league this season and Trents the kinda player United would throw stupid momey at Southampton to sign - i think we have the best squad in the laugue after City and Chelsea

@zpecial - only reason i didn't pick Kante is because im not convinced klopp would play him - having said that, im not convinced Trent is ever going to play any position other than RB so Azpi would be a waste too.

{Ed0333's Note - sorry mate I misunderstood your question my mind is mush. I’ve been binge watching WWE for the last few hours and catching up on Raw and Smackdown. I’m ages behind not even reached Wrestlemania yet. I’m at the bit Daniel Bryant declares he’s been medically cleared to wrestle...YES YES YES!

3.) 20 Apr 2018 04:34:59
haha no dramas, Rouseys match is a rather pleasant surprise when you get to it - she killed it.

{Ed0333's Note - I absolutely love her, she has such an amazing story. Heartache at the Olympics, poverty, being an absolute badass in MMA then losing her crown in such a embarrassing way, coming back from that inigmaty and now starring in WWE. Good for her. Just trying to find a way to watch Wrestlemania without paying bundles of coin. Here in the States you get it on demand with your cable supplier but you have to pay a lot for it.

4.) 20 Apr 2018 05:38:22
dont know any legal ways unfortunately

seems dumb that theyd price people out of watching it - like epl in australia.

{Ed0333's Note - It’s not like the good old days when one of your rich mates would tape it and lend you the VHS lol.

5.) 20 Apr 2018 06:13:16
bit confused jesus, in a total fantasy situation you wouldn't want kante' cos you don't think our current manager would play him? how does the make any sense?

that aside i'd go with what zpsecial said, though i don't think id take an arsenal player at all!

6.) 20 Apr 2018 06:51:14
@ed - torrenting is essentially the modern equivalent

@swish - even in a fantasy you take the player you need more and fits the system. Otherwise youd have Eriksen over Toby

if he isn't going to play him, why buy him imo - im not necessarily saying kante isn't the better or more useful player.

7.) 20 Apr 2018 07:24:48
Man City: Claudio Bravo (world class GK we desperately need)

Man Utd: Marouane Fellaini (what a way to kickstart the "Go Green" initiative at Anfield by recruiting a massive tree)

Chelsea: Alvaro Morata (every squad needs a cry baby)

Spurs: Harry Kane (someone needs to stop Salah claiming all legitimate goals and keep RM's attention elsewhere)

Arsenal: Jack Wilshere (someone needs to keep the doctor company warm after Studge and Lallana are gone or the poor doctor dies of loneliness)

8.) 20 Apr 2018 07:47:39
City - De Bruyne
United - De Gea
Spurs - Alderweireld
Arsenal - Ozil
Chelsea - Azpilicueta.

9.) 20 Apr 2018 08:12:02
City - KDB/ Silva
Chelsea - Kante
Spurs - Alderweireld
Utd - De Gea

But Arsenal? I don't think there's one of them I'd want at Liverpool.

10.) 20 Apr 2018 08:31:53
City-kdb
Man utd-ddg
Spurs-dembele
Chelsea-hazard
Arsenal-no one.

11.) 20 Apr 2018 08:52:06
Ahhh, come on lads! Ozil and De Bruyne feeding our front 3, with Keita mopping up behind them? It would be carnage!

Azpilicueta in at right back, Alderweireld alongside Virgil, and DDG in between the sticks! We'd walk the CL and BPL!

12.) 20 Apr 2018 09:28:44
Man City - Kevin De Bruyne
Man Utd - David De Gea
Tottenham - Toby Alderweireld
Chelsea - N’Golo Kanté
Arsenal - Erm. Probably a youngster. Or a backup for the front three. Emile Smith-Rowe or Aubameyang and sell him to China.

13.) 20 Apr 2018 10:09:27
De Bruyne, De Gea, Kante, Eriksen, Laccazette

Laccazette, I believe he has another level which Klopp would get out of him, Add to this Arsenal are really short of talent I would want makes him my first choice for squad.

The other 4 speak for themselves really.

14.) 20 Apr 2018 10:40:02
De Gea, Bellerin, Kante, Son and De Bruyne.

15.) 20 Apr 2018 20:20:44
Good question.

City. Kdb seem the obvious choice but I'll say aguero

Utd. Pogba. Would be excellent in our squad.

Spurs. Erikson, no doubt.

Chelsea. Tough one, courtois

Arsenal. Aaron ramsey.

16.) 20 Apr 2018 18:17:43
Most of wrestle mania is on YouTube. Some posters have 20 min clips.

{Ed0333's Note - thankyou neg

Ah man, Roma is the one team i didn't particularly want us to draw

I still believe though.

Brown_Jesus

1.) 13 Apr 2018 12:22:57
Me too, but it is what it is! Roma is well balanced team, but as one of the eds mentioned they lack the quality.

2.) 13 Apr 2018 12:27:12
Lol yeah! Remember the Ed saying something to that effect as well.

On the plus side, Mané will be well rested for Sevilla, Leicester and Spartak.

Brown_Jesus

1.) 09 Sep 2017 14:43:31
He'll be suspended against Leicester mate. League Cup games are included. But yeah, he'll be available in the Champions League.

2.) 09 Sep 2017 14:46:58
He's available for Sevilla and Spartak.

3.) 09 Sep 2017 15:04:23
Ah damn, thought it was just the league.

31 Aug 2017 14:14:26
Anyone know what the go is with Allan, he had work permit issues last season IIRC where these resolved?

apologies if this has been addressed recently but searching for him just brings up loads of lallana posts.

Brown_Jesus

1.) 31 Aug 2017 14:37:09
He doesn't have "Work permit issues" he just doesn't have a work permit, nor will he be able to get one any time soon.

Hence why he was loaned out.

I don't really see how it can work for him as a Liverpool player unless we decide he is worth a massive salary or he starts getting into the Brazil team.

2.) 31 Aug 2017 14:43:13
I remember a report, think it was the ECHO, but apparently Allen is on his way to a team in portugal on loan. Not sure which team but a loan is very much expected as he cannot play for us, for obvious reasons. Hopefully this is sorted out soon, otherwise the slim chance of getting a word permit will be zero if he stays with us.

3.) 31 Aug 2017 14:46:59
Ed002 answered this about a month ago but my memory of the answer is hazed.

I believe he still doesn't qualify for a work permit, but if he has a good loan in Europe and plays a lot of first team football we may be able to put forward an special talent case.

Either way, he won't be playing for us this season. Not unless we give him a massive pay rise just to make him meet the work permit criteria!

4.) 31 Aug 2017 15:22:58
Do you know what the criteria is MK?

he played 16 times for Hertha last season so youd think we would be able to make a case for him next season at least if he continues to progress but i obviously don't know what else is involved.

5.) 31 Aug 2017 16:08:48
One of the Eds answered the other day that he is very unlikely to get one and the plan is to sell.

even though he does flop i think he's been pretty hard done by with regards to "diving" - and its an ever worsening cyclical problem.

1) The general consensus is Ward isn't ready and potentially may never be i think

2) we don't have any fullbacks beyond TAA and AR that are at the level required, whilst also being a more physically demanding job than CB where arguably JM and RG are just as good as DL.

Cant get on board with people hanging him out to dry, he's been good since he came in

What he needs right now is the team and the fans to get behind him, a loss like this is a good experience for the squad and if we handle it correctly i fully expect us to be challenging again next season.
