Ed02, I noticed on here that you mentioned on here Newcastle were interested in Grenier(spelling?). After watching Lyon play on a few occasions he and lacazette have impressed me. Have any other teams showed interest in these players and would they be players that would interest Liverpool?

{Ed002's Note - Yes there has ben interest in Grenier in the past - both Chelsea and Arsenal enquired. There is no interest from Liverpool.}

Ed02,what would you say would be the best way forward regarding the keeper situation? Obviously some transfers don't work out and others need time to establish themselves. However it looks obvious that Karius isn't ready to be first choice regardless of what klopp has said, yes it's not exceptable what some so called fans have said but surely we have the right to voice concerns without getting personal or wishing the bloke dead. Me personally if he's prepared to work and wait for the number one spot I'm happy for him to do that, it's unfortunate but we all make mistakes it's just goalkeeping mistakes tend to cost games. I think we're only a couple of signings away from being serious title challengers however a goalkeeper is one of them.

{Ed002's Note - I am surprised any GKs are staying. Bogdan has gone on loan; Danny Ward must have been told something or should be looking to get his career back on track; Mignolet will move on unless Liverpool price him out of the market. As I have explained, I woul;d have thought that the damage had been done to pretty much destroy Karius by the fans, and it looks like wth the latest issues following a mistake in a friendly would prove that to everyone involved. Klopp has made mistake after mistake regarding the goalkeepers and will be looking for at least one still. I staill expect at least one goalkeeper to arrive.}

1.) 11 Jul 2018 13:22:33
Oh, and the fans are still at it, Ed02 after he made a mistake (one I have seen MANY gk's make) in a friendly. The destruction is STILL in full flow.

Can I just say without ed02 input into transfers this is going to be a frustratingly crap window. Can completely understand why you're taking this stance but would just like you to know some of us actually appreciate the time you give up to share information with us. That can also be said about the other Ed's but ed02 transfer information is second to none and a select few have spoilt it for the majority and I for one would like to sarcastically thank them for the idiots that they are!

1.) 21 May 2018 15:19:20
Well said, I'd say 95% of the people on here value what the eds say. The other 5% just like ruining things for other people.

Unfortunately pegleg there are way to many keyboard warriors in the world. I have never known a site like this one. Unbelievable resource for past present and future Liverpool information.
I remember Empire of the kop. A website with information which you had to pay for and the info was shocking to say the least.
This site is free of charge. Open to all persons to view and wealth of information but yet small minded idiots decide to be abusive when they don’t get the answer they want.
Can imagine there marital state when they don’t get the dinner they asked for or the other half says no when they want to stay in the pub. It’s truly embarrassing.

To all the Ed’s that do input on this site. Please take my gratitude and thanks for all you do.
An absolute pleasure to have you on board and I have been a very long time reader.

YNWA Ed’s.

3.) 21 May 2018 15:37:12
Gazza's ALL the Ed's know that it's only a very small minority of knuckle draggers that piss them off. The rest of us non-knuckle draggers pay homage to the Ed's twice a day during the week and four time's at the weekend.

4.) 21 May 2018 17:01:36
How you got 4 dislikes is beyond me, your correct in everything you say mate. Shame some people ruin it for the rest of us. Let's hope Ed2 can return in the future with reliable transfer info, it was such a kind act before, we can only hope we see it again but completely understand if we don't. I wouldn't.

5.) 21 May 2018 18:11:15
Salad, the dislikes are probably from the muppets causing the problems for the rest of us by pissing the Ed’s off. I sincerely hope Ed002 changes his mind and gives us transfer info as it keeps me sane!

Maybe the Ed’s could just ban the idiots so it doesn’t ruin it for the rest of us? (Please 🙏)

Ed01 I'd be interested to hear your take on AOC, where you think he'd fit in the team, who'd make way or suffer and if you think he's value for money. Personally I don't see him anymore than a squad player and at the money quoted I'd rather we spent it elsewhere but obviously klopp rates him and at the end of the day that's what it will come down too.

{Ed001's Note - utility and back up.}

Who in your opinion do you think needs to go this summer? For me I'd be happy with this

Mignolet £6/ 8 mil or kept as a number two
Bogdan £1 mil
Moreno £6/ 8 mil
Wisdom £1/ 4 mil
Skrtel £4/ 6 mil
Ilori £4/ 6 mil
Sakho if the right bid came in
Milner £6/ 8 mil
Lallana £12/ 18mil
Lucas if the right bid came in although he has been our best player this season I think he gives to many free kicks away but I'd be happy to see him stay
Ibe £10/ 15 mil with a buy back I think he's struggled this season
Benteke £19/ ? Mil just happy to get something back
Ballotelli as much as we could con out of someone.
Out of the youngsters only Stewart, Ojo, smith, Kent (in glimpses) and texiera have impressed me, although maybe texiera will be gone.

1.) 05 Mar 2016 03:46:24
Sell ibe cause he hasn't had a good season? he's only a kid sort ye head out.

2.) 05 Mar 2016 06:59:50
Bogdan will be released and we will have to pay him off. He will not be sold for a fee, i'm pretty sure of that. I can see Moreno being loaned out. After the season he has had, do not see any mid table La liga or Serie A club paying what we would want for him. Loan to buy option seems our best route at this point of time. Same goes for Mignolet. No club will be foolish enough to pay anything more than 5 million for him. He is another player the club will have to sell at a loss. No need to sell Lucas, Sakho, Milner and Ibe. The rest i agree with u.

3.) 05 Mar 2016 07:09:22
Quite where you get thise valuations from I do not know.

4.) 05 Mar 2016 07:45:29
13 players yo be moved on? TRANSITION TRANSITION! Oh by the way, you missed Luis Alberto. ;-)

5.) 05 Mar 2016 09:52:18
The reason I'd sell Ibe with a buy back clause is I always think he'll have to much pressure on him to be the next sterling and unless we get another Suarez to free up space for everyone I don't think he'll shine. One player I'd like to prove me wrong though. I also like sakho but he's injury prone and doesn't stay fit enough to forge a good partnership.

Lucas I like but if we could get sensible money and there was an upgrade available I'd take it as his legs have gone and he gives unnecessary free kicks away. As for 13 players, we have an inflated squad of mainly average players. The money spent under Benitez, dalglish and Rodgers should have us competing at the top but instead we've over spent on average players, hopefully under Klopp this changes and hopefully we stop missing out on main targets after insulting them with stupid bids.

We can't bring decent players in without trimming the squad or the wage bill, the youngsters will hardly ever get a chance while there's 2/ 3 senior players ahead of them and the only reason some have had a chance this season is due to injuries.

There’s some moronic comments and some arse licking supporters on here. Suarez is one of the most exciting players I’ve seen play for the club and I’ve watched Liverpool from the early 80’s. yes he had some bad press but I for one loved the bloke for what he did on the pitch and the fact he never gave up. Don’t agree with his antics but that doesn’t take away his skill and the fact he gave everything on the pitch. The reason the club didn’t drop him was he was an asset, one that they did well out of. If salad goes I wish him well and hopefully we do well out of his transfer but I won’t worry about that until it happens.

Danny Ings is far better than Origi, solanke and at the moment I’d have him ahead of sturridge based on his last few seasons. A fully fit sturridge is a different matter, wish Ings all the best and hopefully he gets his career back on track as his injuries haven’t helped his time with us.

Welshred84, not so sure but maybe some of the abuse ed02 gets doesn’t put on? No wonder he gets pissed off, for me personally this site wouldn’t be the same without ed02 input, not taking anything away from the other Ed’s but his knowledge is second to none and I for one appreciate what he does.

You don’t have to be big to be strong on the ball just look at Sterling!

Ron I agree origi should be given minutes ahead of solanke just like Ings should be given minutes before solanke but I feel it’s unfair to call him mediocre, after all he’s only a young lad who’s making the transition into the main team. In my opinion he needs using in the lower league cup games or bringing on once we’re outplaying certain sides with a comfortable goal lead. Hopefully him and Brewster reach their potential.

No red tinted specs worn here, we’ve been underperforming for years. All I’m saying is I think klopp is moving us in the right direction although I’ll agree he needs to start winning things to silence some of his critics.

Ed02 I’ve bitten on your transition comment! Admittedly klopp needs to wins things but even you must see how far we’ve come under klopp? City are the team to beat at the minute and it’s going to be a hard task for any team to compete with them not only because of their financial backing but their whole team is class. However all we can do is keep the pressure up which we’re doing, which is all down to the way klopp has us playing. On that I don’t think we’re as strong as last season going forward but we’re stronger at the back and we’re in a far better position than we’ve been in years. Would love to hear your honest opinion on how you think we’re progressing under klopp. I also understand other managers have come into clubs and won things in their first season but do you honestly think the likes of conte, guardiola, Maureen etc. would of won things in their first season at Liverpool or even turned us around into being a strong team like we are at the minute.

{Ed002's Note - Nobody is denying that Liverpool has improved and have spent a great deal of money doing so. It is not only Manchester City that need to be beaten, you make it sound like they are dominating the league, but they have only won it once since Klopp arrived - and when they won it in 2018 they had not won for four years before that. Klopp has lost Buvac and I don't think any of the supporters understand quite how significant that is - and it is rather a surprise that it is rarely mentioned. Whilst Lijnders has returned the feeling amongst many in the know that he is a far from adequate replacement. I cannot say whether Conte, Mourinho or Guardiola would have one things in their first season at Liverpool, but aside from Guardiola the others did win in their first seasons in the Premier League - and Conte took Chelsea from 10th or whatever to first. Perhaps taking the red tinted specs off sometimes would not be a bad idea?}

Personally I wouldn’t embarrass myself and try and justify it. Sorry but it was a stupid mistake, didn’t cost us anything so let’s just draw a line under it and move on.

Don’t get me wrong I love Benitez as a bloke and is one of my favourite managers. But he also has his downfalls which people forget.

This one, don’t get everyone’s hang up with Benitez. Yes he’s good tactically and a nice bloke but let’s be honest he left us in a worse state than when he took over. For all the top signings he made he made 4/ 5 bad ones, despite spending a lot of money always moaned he wasn’t backed.
Don’t get me wrong I like the bloke it it was right to let him go and I’ve taken my blinkers off.
