Are Liverpool trying to sign / still hold interest in Bruno Fernandes?

Some sites are saying he is close to signing for United, and others say Liverpool FC are close to the signing.

1.) 10 Jun 2019 11:19:56
Spurs are interested, especially if Eriksen leaves. They also have interest in Lo Celso. I don’t know if they want both. This has been on this site.
Any other information I’ve read is conflicting, I agree. No two sources are saying the same thing.
Type ‘Chiesa’ into the search bar to see Ed002’s comments on him.

2.) 10 Jun 2019 12:59:17
Echo have literally just put out that were set to sign 💪🏼.

3.) 10 Jun 2019 13:04:30
We hold interest as Ed has stated previously but we don’t know anything more.

We are keen to bring someone into that role.

4.) 10 Jun 2019 13:23:20
Markp08, yes interested but no approach to his club. Manchester bound very likely if not about done already.

5.) 10 Jun 2019 14:10:49
I can't see why United would be an appealing option for him other than money reasons. Attacking based midfielders, kagawa, depay, mhychatarian, di Maria, Sanchez, pogba, mata have seen their careers damaged or slowed down lately, United are currently a fresh rebuild which doesn't even seem ready to start yet, with a manager who already seems out of his depth with no champions league football. If he would choose United in this current moment over other teams it would show him as a player and person I wouldn't want anyway. He seems like a hard working commited player on the field but maybe his career ambition doesn't reflect that. I'd be amazed if any top player chose United and ole over spurs and Liverpool, poch and klopp for any sort of footballing reasons. Of course I'm presuming United aren't his only option.

6.) 10 Jun 2019 14:23:38
I get what your saying Har and I agree mate. However it seems he is swaying towards the Red half of Manchester. It will be financial reasons.

7.) 10 Jun 2019 15:37:48
Is there genuine truth to that virgil? Shocking decision the lad has made if the case. Makes no sense, a team very far away from playing a style to suit him unless ole drastically brings a complete different approach. He'd suit Liverpool city spurs or Chelsea far more.

8.) 10 Jun 2019 16:25:53
Tbh Har_red92 I’m not a so called ITK mate lol by any stretch. Just from what I can gather from here and the Itd pages and talking to others it certainly seems to be that he is heading to Utd. The very fact we’ve not even spoke to his club whilst others have says a lot. Also the cost of the guy up in the 70-80M area with us not looking to spend that amount. Will see I guess but my money would be on Utd.

9.) 10 Jun 2019 17:17:43
Yeah I always thought a 50 mil offer or roughly that ball park is what sporting would actually accept. They're not financially great and he's their only major money asset. Unless multiple teams are offering at once I couldn't see 80mil being the lowest Lisbon would accept. I get that we probably aren't fussed with that kind of fee I was just hopeful we might splurge the kind of money that was nearly spent on fekir last year. I think he'd fit us nicely, probably the best no.10 available this summer and a club with little financial strength to refuse decent bids.

10.) 10 Jun 2019 17:43:17
Agree entirely mate. I think he is the best option available and Klopp would work wonders inter grating him into the team, but doesn’t look likely. We also have Kieta and Ox who will need game time.

11.) 10 Jun 2019 18:40:30
Yeah I agree bud, for that type of money you would want to be expecting a weakness being vastly improved instead of hoping to just add to an already strong midfield. Many people still think a 10 is needed but I'm not so sure. Klopp looked to try and implement 4231 last year, I feel that was why a fekir type was wanted. I feel he's learned 433 suits us much better and a midfielder might actually be of zero importance anymore.

12.) 10 Jun 2019 21:54:46
Like he fabinho signing out of knowere, i would not be surprised that i wake up to see him signed for us, if klopp wants him. If he doesn't then I respect Klopp's plans as he knows far more about football than any of us.

{Ed025's Note - speak for yourself jammin.. :)

13.) 10 Jun 2019 22:02:38
Ed025, edit: a manager at the highest level knows a hell of a lot more than me. But would also question anyone that thinks they know more about football than one of the best managers of our time.

{Ed025's Note - its subjective jammin, and tongue in cheek at times mate..

14.) 10 Jun 2019 23:07:42
I love a deal out of nowhere. I remember kewell at the time hitting my complete surprise when I first heard. So excited for that deal, what a let down haha. And Andy Carroll out of nowhere too. Another terrible let down. Raul meireles too happened fast with no previous links.

15.) 10 Jun 2019 23:45:06
Virg if he is our top target for AM we better get a move on.

16.) 10 Jun 2019 23:49:38
We don't have any big areas of weakness anymore Har. So now we need to try and turn good or very good players to great. I still think the midfield could do with one really top addition.

17.) 10 Jun 2019 23:53:31
Yes Man Utd have been playing crap football recently but I don't think we can say that Fernandes going there would be for the money. Its possible that he is buying into the plan that Ole has (if Woodward allows him to have one) . Im going to wait and see what sort of footy they try to play next year.

18.) 11 Jun 2019 01:51:37
Possibly. I just think at this moment in time if he had options of where to move, United are the furthest behind in football attraction. No champions league and a group of players that need overhaul aplenty.

19.) 11 Jun 2019 02:48:32
Yeah mark but I think if we were to bring in a high quality midfielder, only one of OX, keita, gini, Milner, henderson could play the 8 role if fabinho in the 6. Asides from Milner, as we need his versatility. I could not choose between 1 of those to move on, we have no reason to replace any, and we can't keep them all, OX and keita offered no contribution last year. It's essentially like we have already gained 2 new players with fresh starts.

20.) 10 Jun 2019 23:19:52
Ed025 you clearly are not on here enough for people to get that scouse sense of humour mate. What are you doing with your time? Actually don't answer that, there are some things in life you just don't want to know.

{Ed025's Note - people tend to get too serious at times burkey, life is too short for seriousness all the time so im here to lighten the mood mate, hell im an evertonian for gods sake and spend most of my time crying so i come on here for respite and a way to vent my frustration, most people get me and some dont and they are the ones that make it all worthwhile.. :)

21.) 10 Jun 2019 23:21:51
I only saw your smile emoji after i replied ed025 . I'm a bit emoji unaware. Old age.

{Ed025's Note - no problem jammin mate, im old as well but still very attractive to women so it does,nt bother me so much.. :)

22.) 11 Jun 2019 07:45:00
Haha, I love Ed025's sharp snarky wit, it warms my cockles on those cold footballess nights. If ya ever need a hug or a shoulder to cry on (like when Richarlison leaves next month) I'm here for ya mate.

{Ed025's Note - thats nice to know JM,...although i would prefer it to be carol kirkwood of course mate.. :)

23.) 11 Jun 2019 08:21:37
Jaysus Ed025, that's a bit harsh. You just ain't seen me in hot-pants yet.

{Ed025's Note - even just reading that puts me in a cold sweat JM.. :)

24.) 11 Jun 2019 09:11:22
Markp08 I meant he is possibly our best option mate but not our top target I don’t think. Like I say I think he is Utd bound mate unfortunately.

25.) 11 Jun 2019 10:35:54
Ed025 is a double for George Clooney or is that George Formby🤔.

{Ed025's Note - its definitely clooney barry...unless im cleaning windows mate.. :)

26.) 11 Jun 2019 11:57:01
Or leaning on a lamppost Ed😁.

{Ed025's Note - very much so barry.. :)

28 Jan 2019 23:19:02
Looks like VVD, TAA and Gomez will all be missing on Wednesday.

We don't have much pace to deal with Vardy. Looks like we will have to defend deeper, no other option.

Just Pray VVD can get off his sick bed.

1.) 29 Jan 2019 01:56:05
guess we will have to go back to the old style of "score one more than the opposition"

2.) 29 Jan 2019 06:29:35
Nooooo. Virgil has to be ok surely, I’ve had a cold and cough last week or so but I’ve still gone to work lol.

3.) 29 Jan 2019 06:37:09
I must admit I'm quite concerned about this game going on that news, fingers crossed we can get the three points but I'm not very confident about this one.

4.) 29 Jan 2019 07:26:39
It’s going to snow in he midlands this week, maybe Vardy and Gray will simultaneously slip and twist an ankle. looks left and right)

5.) 29 Jan 2019 07:42:13
Salah, I share the same worries and thoughts mate. Could well be a struggle especially if Virgil is out. Don’t like the thought of Vardy, Gray and co running at Matip and Camacho. Are well it is what it is I guess and we will find out soon enough we’re we are at.

6.) 29 Jan 2019 07:53:34
We beat Leicester at their place earlier in the season, I have no doubt we'll see the off again tomorrow. May be a bit scrappy but I'm confident 👍.

7.) 29 Jan 2019 07:54:27
Bloody hell lads - what's going on? We have just had 11 days off, and we are playing at Anfield under the lights. Our defence and midfield will be similar to theirs but our front 3 will cause them all sorts of problems.

The team will need the support more than ever on Wednesday, stay positive. It won't all be plain sailing in winning the league.

No more negative posts.

8.) 29 Jan 2019 07:51:19
This is why our manager's use to say no one man is bigger than the club. We all start panicking because VVD is out, we just need to support the other £300M+ worth of talent we put out on the pitch.
Here's a stat to give you hope. Leicester have been beaten in the Premier league 9 times with teams that didn't contain VVD, TAA or any of our regular back line.

9.) 29 Jan 2019 07:53:34

11.) 29 Jan 2019 09:09:45
I’m no expert but I’d reckon they are more worried about our attack than we need to be about theirs.
It’ll be very difficult for them to attack at all when we smother them and bag 3 in the first half!

12.) 29 Jan 2019 10:45:56
For goodness sake, we are Liverpool, we are top of the Premier League, we are playing at home, it’s Leicester not Barcelona, they have lost 9 out of 23 Premier League games, we have got 29 points more then them - and they have got Wes Morgan and Harry Maguire in central
defence! Get a grip lads and have some faith in our manager and his squad.

13.) 29 Jan 2019 11:26:20
Have you been hanging around Walter salah? This is the first time I've seen a negative comment from you. ;)

14.) 29 Jan 2019 11:28:18
Van dijk will play unless he's still got the runs until 20 minutes before the game. He's made of stronger stuff and knows how important he is to us. I have no doubt he will play.

{Ed025's Note - gastroenteritis is a bad bug nun, if he plays i hope he does,nt lovren himself.. :)

15.) 29 Jan 2019 11:44:59
Surely you could lend him a couple of your immodiums ed25? 😉.

{Ed025's Note - either that or a pair of my lycra shorts KK.. :)

16.) 29 Jan 2019 12:49:44
If VVD sharted early in the game then that would prompt the Leicester players from getting too close - perfect solution for me.

17.) 29 Jan 2019 12:52:14
I'm confident of a 3-0 victory.

18.) 29 Jan 2019 13:28:08
I’ve seen us beat Leicester loads of times before we signed VVD and before we were anywhere near as good as we are now.
Why is everyone panicking so much?

19.) 29 Jan 2019 15:41:18
Alisson, Milner, Matip, Lovren, Robertson are enough against Leicester City.

20.) 29 Jan 2019 15:59:10
Uh no Milner maybe Camacho.

21.) 29 Jan 2019 17:34:43
Wow, a couple of injuries and this site suddenly turns in an episode of Dad's Army. Don't panic, don't panic!

22.) 29 Jan 2019 17:37:54
and I get told all season to be realistic? hypocrites.

23.) 29 Jan 2019 17:38:36
Klippertys klopp, hahaha about right mate lol.

24.) 29 Jan 2019 20:10:13
This is my worst fear. in the space of a week we will be behind city playing catch up. the league is finally lost even earlier than I expected.
Was good whilst it lasted.

25.) 29 Jan 2019 22:17:24
And suddenly its a chance to go 7 clear :)

In the premier league era we have got ourselves in positions to either challenge for titles or win the title on quite a few occasions. But in most of the vital games we have been too passive, nervous or not quite good enough.

This is our time we are on the up, we have our best ever premier league team full of leaders. We have improved since we last played City and their current team is there for the taking. Keep the foot down and go for the win, 100% from the off.

I am very very confident we will win be a couple of goals, this is our time.

1.) 10 Nov 2019 05:28:52
Im never confident until the final whistle. City are an exceedingly talented team. We can match their ability but the result will likely depend on who turns up with the right mindset. And, of course, how the video referees perform on the day.

2.) 10 Nov 2019 07:52:00
Mark, I disagree. We have actually been very good in pivotal games vs the big teams whenever we have been in a genuine/ real title challenging season for the most part. In 08/ 09, we did the double over Utd, Chelsea and got two draws vs Arsenal. Where we screwed up was the NINE other draws vs the so called lesser teams which cost us the PL. We turn even 5 of those draws into wins (like we have been doing this season) we win the PL, easily.

In 13/ 14, we beat Arsenal, Utd (utd twice) and lost a squeaker to City in a game we had no business losing were it not for some bad luck and poor refereeing. And to cap it all, we beat City at home in THE most pivotal game of that season. What did us in was aou inability to stop leaking goals and BR's incompetence going into the Chelsea game.

Last season, we were passive in a couple of big away games BUT in the end, you can't win them all and btw, some poor officiating did us in vs LC at home where Atkinson did his "thing" denying a stonewall pen on Naby. You can't plan for such things. Did I also mention that City won 18 of their last 19 games? Sometimes you have to salute your opponent as well, bro. Either way, not arsed about the past. Hopefully we have learned our lessons and we can get a win today. Peace!

03 Nov 2019 09:25:12
TAA is getting better and still only 21. He seems totally driven to help LFC win the league. He was up and down yesterday non stop and his quality on the ball is the best we have. TAA pings the ball into his team mates just some of the time they can't control his passes. He will hopefully become an Anfield great.

1.) 03 Nov 2019 11:26:45
He's the best right back in the world for LFC. Not saying he's the best right back in the world, but his passion for the club makes him the best right back for us. I reckon he'll get close to Gerrard appearance levels with us.

03 Nov 2019 09:13:28
10 wins and 1 draw, awesome. All the late winners are incredible we just don't know when we are beaten. We have some top players but the phrase mentality monsters is bang on.

20 Oct 2019 21:11:13
Start of the season 8 wins and a draw, top of the league. All is good but we must play much better v Spurs. Salah back next week. Keep the faith it is a massive few weeks coming up.

It's in our hands.

1.) 20 Oct 2019 21:27:25
I'm with you mark. The team have to play better.

Something was wrong. I somehow feels it could be down to mental part. Probably they weren't respecting the opponent enough ended up they didn't turn up entirely. Could be down to overconfidence. Honestly, I don't know what was wrong.

All in all, the last 10 minutes or so, they started to show a bit more. They managed to get a draw, and I hope the next games will be win, win, and win.

2.) 20 Oct 2019 21:53:46
Just getting over the initial pain, then putting things in perspective. We were really awful but got a point. I would of taken 8 points from the 4 games so we are still on course for that and a good lead over City.

3.) 20 Oct 2019 22:28:45
Wish our fans wouldn't come on social media and forums like this spouting nonsense claiming we're going to roll teams like Man United over away from home.
Sell Salah is another one. Listen to yourselves! It was a good point in the end, But overall a day to forget.

4.) 20 Oct 2019 23:10:33
What on Earth is Shaq doing in training to have slipped so far down the pecking order? Nowhere near the first team when you'd have thought with Salah out it would be his sort of game to come in and shine.

5.) 21 Oct 2019 00:13:38
Markp08- good perspective of the big picture in that post. Spurs are struggling and not playing as a team and next Sunday is the best time to get this fixture chalked off. At anfield we nearly always control the games against big 6 so if we can get the 3 points there we would be in a strong position in the overall picture. 10 games in if we can have 28 from possible 30 points having already played 4 of the other 5 big teams and collected 10 of 12 points we have to be delighted with that. Of the other 9 teams we have yet to play, the big one against city is soon. We then have a run of fixtures that we've shown over the last 18 months we drop very little points to teams outside top 6. As we've shown, we struggle after 2 week breaks and play our best when in the rhythm of constant games so I expect us to get back winning and collecting 3 points with our squad now in a healthy state with keita, OX and allison adding much strenght.

6.) 21 Oct 2019 06:52:56
No Shaq shine possible, because he is injured.

And, his place in the match day squad would likely be Lallana’s, who scored.

7.) 21 Oct 2019 12:51:22
Spot on, LFC08. I said it many times on here before the game, Strange things happen at OT. We have to be ready for anything and it seems we were not. Utd played like the midtable team they are and we knew they would not come after us at first. We did not seem to repond well to this until middle of the first half. We then concede a real "ghost-goal" and that was tough to take BUT we responded well with the Mane goal even tho it was correctly chalked off (dumb rule, IMO) .

When Utd is gifted a goal like that, we were literally playing on their terms cos they are a counter attacking team and we were playing into their hands cos we had to take risks. They STILL could not hurt us. It was a difficult time getting openings vs a back 10 BUT we made the right changes (Klopp gets mass props for this) and not only did we persist and get the goal, we could have won it with a bit of luck. Either way if Utd need all the help in the world from you-know-who to get a point at OT vs us then I think we're good. Top of the PL and undefeated, 25 points out of 27. On to Spurs.

02 Sep 2019 16:41:03
Kent and Ducan sold £8m added to the Mbappe fund.

1.) 02 Sep 2019 16:54:31
I'd rather it be the Havertz fund than the Mbappé fund tbqh. We'll need a Havertz type of player more than a Mbappé type of player in our squad next year.

2.) 02 Sep 2019 16:48:35
Not far to go now then!

3.) 02 Sep 2019 17:08:15
Only another £250m to go. Don't worry mate Havertz is already done.

4.) 02 Sep 2019 17:12:45
I think we'll see a top midfielder added if and when milner leaves.

5.) 02 Sep 2019 18:53:50
I think Kai havertz be an excellent signing but think he will be going to Munich. For me I'd love to sign Dele Alli. I think he would be amazing in a midfield 3. Klopp would get the best out of him I believe.

6.) 02 Sep 2019 19:18:09
Just very happy that the club got rid of the Duncan nuisance. The club did the right thing to shove him off immediately because it shows they were concerned by the potential PR damage. The club was publicly accused of gross misconduct and yet Klopp's main voiced concern was to not damage the club's image in terms of attracting potential youngsters in the future. As for Duncan, the French have a saying; "jamais deux sans trois". Never two without three. So let's see how long it is before he falls out with Fiorentina. Behaviour patterns don't lie.

7.) 02 Sep 2019 19:33:57
I can't see how his situation changes much at fiorentina, he will stand a better chance of getting some playing time but I still don't see him getting in their match day squad.

8.) 02 Sep 2019 20:20:08
It's comical actually. He's seen celebrating wildly after the Barcelona game at Anfield a few months ago, he puts out sweet words after his first LFC goal against Tranmere just a month or more ago, and today he is sitting in Italy. Where the defenders are brutal and many a forward/ striker have had their careers affected by injuries. Time will tell, I guess.

9.) 02 Sep 2019 21:47:19
If the 8 mil is towards the mbappe funds, then how are we paying for 30foot golden statue of Divok?

{Ed025's Note - when divok goes to accrington stanley next year L8 all thoughts of any statues will be scrapped mate.. :)

10.) 02 Sep 2019 23:59:36
When I saw the headlines Duncan's agent had created I thought he would not be at the club much longer. Shame in one way, he can obviously find the net at his current level, whether he can at Prem level was certainly not yet proven.
If players don’t want to wear our shirt then we are better off without them; Couts, Sterling, whoever - not prepared to give us your all, then off you go and good luck.

I agree Lallana is as good as gone. Shaq will leave as well. Really hope Milner stays. Look what has happened to City with Kompany leaving, Milner is the man Klopp turns to for the team talks before and during the big games.

My understanding is it doesn't include a new stadium. The main issue being considered is redeveloping the Anfield Road end and the Kenny Daglish stand. This will take the capacity to 70,000. The Dalish stand would be very much like the main stand in size.

I think I am right in saying we extended Standard Charted 2 years ago for £20m less than the going rate. Not sure who made that decision, maybe that terrible decision is now having a knock on effect.

We are better than we were 12 months ago. If at all possible get early points and reduce those pressure games at the end.

Agree with your comment re Robbo. Milner needs game time as well.

Adrian was injured by a fan who was being chased by security. He slipped and 2 footed Adrian. Doubtful for tomorrow.

Looks like we won't see Keita until after the international break.

{Ed025's Note - typical..

Matip out for about 6 weeks.

I have not read anyone on here saying Gomez should be ahead of Matip or Lovren atm. Why mention Matip's mistakes Redwolf? Your opinion on him is well known and he has proved you 100% wrong in the last 12 months. You can count on a couple of fingers Matip's mistakes that have lead to goals in 12 months. Matip has been our best cb this season shame he is injured.

I thought Heno was our best midfielder v Villa and this season probably been better than Gini. It's 2 of the front 3 who are off form IMO.

Gomo did struggle v MK Dons but agains't Arsenal he was defending on his own. The keeper, defence and midfield v Arsenal offered him very little help. We have some top kids going forward but watching the u23's we are a mile of defensively. I think Gomo will play tomorrow and start to show his worth again, Kloppo says he has not been fully fit.

Zippy - you just couldn't make that up, ridiculous decision. Having said that with all that is going on nothing surprises us anymore.

Classic faith.
