Unless we get Slot out. The club is in for a terrible time next season.
I've seen nothing from Slot that makes me think he can get the best out of certain players like Wirtz, Isak, Kerkez and Ekitike, never mind adding new players to the first team.
I can't believe the club is letting this develop into a car crash.
Not a rant, just my take on some things.

People need to realise that Edwards and his stats are heavily influencing Slot's tactics. Collectively, they believed that they could solve the Klopp burnout effect by using data and changing how and when energy is expended. They thought they could use data to be a step ahead of the curve, which is partially why FSG agreed to spend the way they did - a whole new way of approaching and structuring the way a football team works.
Edwards has been given total control and has been able to dictate more than just who we sign, and he really believes he has All of the answers.
There is so much more riding on this than meets the eye. Slot was the yes man who agreed to go along with this technological revolution, which has so far backfired spectacularly.
Edwards has one more year to prove that he knows more than the best managers, and that his ideas are not the product of an ego gone ferral.

I've just read that Sunderland didn't take up the buy option on Geertruida. Is he worth picking up as similar price to Dumfries?
27 May 2026 18:20:43
I would take him over Dumphries, personally. And he can play DM & CB as well.
27 May 2026 18:28:51
Slot increasing the number of Dutch personnel at our club...probably gets huge discounts on group bookings on all their weekly flights back to Holland for their mini holidays.
27 May 2026 18:50:07
We need a Brazilian or Argentina coach then.
Get some South Americans in the team again. Some of them absolutely love a tackle... some very aggressive players. Tenacious.
We have one that doesn't quite fit that model MacA.... prob would fall over and feign injury in an under 8s match tbh.

Official
United will sign Ederson from Atalanta.
Meanwhile in Liverpool.
Midfield is not a problem position.
Of course.
27 May 2026 18:14:24
Meanwhile, in Liverpool, the season ended 3 days ago.
27 May 2026 18:19:53
Maybe try a bit of patience? Another club signs a player, what does that have to do with us?
27 May 2026 18:22:39
All the talk is Liverpool will sign at least one midfielder.
27 May 2026 18:22:55
Florian, you're taking devil's advocate to a whole different level. It's impressive, I have to say. 🤣
27 May 2026 18:30:26
Can we please allow the powers that be to enjoy their end of season holidays... we all know they could do with a break... not like they got mini holidays weekly for the past 3 months or so.
27 May 2026 18:33:03
Thought I was just talking sense, Red. I understand it's a dying art.
27 May 2026 18:52:16
FM
Another post, I agree with!!!
Not too happy about this. You do realise that's Slot's fault!!! 🤣
27 May 2026 18:55:47
And FM is right. The season did only end 3 days ago. Calm TF down just because MU sign Ederson and we haven't signed anyone yet. The most glaring issue is not transfer related.
27 May 2026 17:11:32
Carra, wherefore art thou?
27 May 2026 17:38:28
Carra doth skulk behind the couch, whilst the window-cleaner from Formby possesseth the greatest wisdom of all.
27 May 2026 16:29:13
So we got outrun in 34/38 league games this season. 5 point away against the top 11 sides so the other top 10 with us in it. So only 1 away win against to top half of the league. Don’t want to know what our goal difference was.
The so called stats people need to look at these statistics because if Slot stays in charge no matter who we sign we won’t get the start we did last season and we will be bottom half relegation fighting and without any true leaders in the team I think is a fight most won’t have the stomach for.
27 May 2026 17:10:55
You see it, I see it, and many other fans see it as well. Keeping Slot will be to the detriment of LFC, and will set us back years. He should have gone after Plymouth spanked us in the FA Cup last season, but the owners decided to give him 400 million quid, only for us to get worse. If he stays, it will be beyond a joke and a travesty.
That said, I think now that the season has ended, we should show a bit of patience and see what the outcome is over the next few weeks.
Everything with regards to what should be happening (Slot and Bill & Ben getting the sack), may very well be underway, and is just a case of waiting for everything to fall into place. All this anxiety over the situation isn't healthy.
Let's see what comes, and if and when he still remains for the new season, then we can deal with it then.
27 May 2026 17:34:41
"So we got outrun in 34/38 league games this season."
Mitigating circumstances clearly affected the ability of the players to walk briskly, let alone run.
27 May 2026 17:42:04
We got out walked OliRed. :)
Our matches were like watching a game of Subbuteo at times. At best it was like a game of 70 year olds playing walking football down the local 5 A side park.
27 May 2026 18:43:35
Indeed, Bulk. On another note, I would like to know the amount of minutes per game the players spent just standing around. Now that would be interesting.
27 May 2026 16:34:30
Caught a snippet earlier of Ed01 saying how he's not much interested in the World Cup! I probably feel the same way tbh but I'll no doubt catch a few games.
The lack of interest for me started in USA 94 which was an awful WC and the last great WC was Italia 90.
So for me looking back & I have vivid memories of 1970 these are a few of my favourite memories of past World Cups when it was a brilliant occasion added to by commentary by satellite which added to the atmosphere back home!
1970 - Banks save from Pele - younger posters try and watch it! Bobby Moore imperious V Brazil & Peter Bonneti having a mare v W.Germany
74 - Cruyff, enough said & in my top 3 favourite players of all time!
78 - The Argentina games and an atmosphere never bettered & Ally's tartan army going home early with a truly great side
82 - two of the best games I've ever seen - Italy v Brazil & France v W.Germany
86 - Maradona - won the World Cup single handed so to speak & Shilton costing us a WC and
90 - Gasgoine, stand out player on our side by miles and could of been an all time great & Shilton costing us another WC
Skip to 98 & Ronaldo- again an all time great & Owens goal v Argentina!
Since then nothing really stands out for me with host of boring over commercialised World cups!
So from anyone else for a bit of fun what stands out for them
27 May 2026 17:26:34
I was dish washing in an Italian restaurant in 82, praying Brazil beat them, but what a game and what a crack with Gino and Diago.
27 May 2026 18:04:05
The Brazil team of 82 was a great team, best team to never win it.
27 May 2026 18:38:17
Brazil 82 were the beginning of my real love affair with football. Watching them as a 9 year old.
Wanted to be Zico. Then Eder. Then Socrates.
Think I was sad when Italy knocked them out.
But a couple of days later, I wanted to be Paolo Rossi. And then Rummenigge.
27 May 2026 18:45:00
Mexico '86 for me, Bristol. Diego Maradona in full glow and at full pelt.
Changed my life, man.
27 May 2026 18:58:02
I was 11 years old, sat watching the 1982 World Cup in awe and disbelief as my heroes Hansen, Souness and Dalglish were getting hammered as Brazil beat Scotland 4-1... David Narey made the fatal mistake of making Brazil angry when he smacked in a worldie to put Scotland 1-0 up, then the best quartet of midfielders that have walked the face of the earth... Zico, Falcao, Eder, Socrates, with Junior at right back just started taking the pi**.
2nd best tournament and 2nd best midfield ever was France 1984.
The "magic square" of Tigana, Fernandez, Giresse and Platini was a joy to watch.
27 May 2026 16:25:55
I was told Slot is staying because his assistant from Feyenoord is joining! Also, it’s huge summer, which I took to mean if results don’t improve significantly, FSG only have a limited amount of patience, especially if things remain toxic!
27 May 2026 17:13:06
He had all season to improve results and failed. I don't see how giving him another year and a few hundred million quid is going to change that. If FSG don't act now, then our decline is on their heads.
27 May 2026 18:47:52
Spot on, Bulk. The summer can be as big as we want it to be and people can big it up as much as we like and get excited about new signings.
The bottom line is that the manager (if he is kept) will just extend his pathetic record, cos the fundamental structural problems within his system will still be there, and if he does not change, then we are only prolonging the inevitable.
27 May 2026 16:22:40
So many ITK's with different stories and possible outcomes. Never felt so teased and depressed at the same time.
But Ed's - can I ask what you actually think will happen? Do you think Slot stays or goes? If he does leave will it be now or will they risk going into another season?
Thanks!
{Ed001's Note - I have said it a hundred times, there is no point in my keep repeating myself as clearly no one bothers to read what I say anyway. No wonder Ed2 used to get so frustrated!}
27 May 2026 17:07:56
So, Ed1, what do you think will happen, mate? ;).
27 May 2026 16:48:58
I know you said it looks like he's staying Ed.
But that was like 6 hours ago!
Come on,
Something must have changed by now?!
27 May 2026 16:51:22
🤣 Poor Ed, can't imagine the frustration; it is literally the same question being asked 10 times a day. People literally not bothering to read past page 1 before they post.
27 May 2026 18:20:19
Yeah Ed1.if you were a betting man, where would you put your money? 😉
{Ed001's Note - I would leave it in my bank rather than give it to the bookies.}
27 May 2026 17:52:03
Salah do you have a death wish 😳
