So people were asking Romano about Nunez and he says his sources close to the player, National side and Liverpool say there is no chance at him returning at this moment in time. Goes on to say if it changes, he will let us know. Seems like someone who doesn't know and is guessing. Will trust Victor, Robbo and Carra first.
15 Jun 2026 19:30:05
Another one who said Slot was staying.
15 Jun 2026 17:15:02
I was chatting to Matt Smith about English midfielders vs cheaper European options.
Unprompted he messaged me 20 minutes ago that “he’s hearing Darwin is coming back, Lmfao!”
Embrace the madness!
15 Jun 2026 17:34:19
Vamooos!
15 Jun 2026 17:43:39
Great news, free player who can command a fee in a year or two if things don't work out, covering any wages he will be paid, or it could work out and he's still young enough for a sell on profit.
Win win win.
Happy dayz.
15 Jun 2026 18:04:58
How did Matt Smith know?
Maybe he used his TARDIS to have a peak into the future?
Will Darwin do well next season?
Which RB will we buy?
15 Jun 2026 18:05:23
Didn't "Matt Smith" also say Arne Slot was staying?
15 Jun 2026 18:37:33
He did say that Cookie Monster, he wasn't the only one though.
15 Jun 2026 18:52:41
Cookie Monster,
Many journalists were genuinely told Slot was staying right up to 24 hours before Arne was sacked, but check my posts, Matt did also tell me that FSG cannot ignore the noise/ common sense!
This is a rumours message board, football at the elite level are multi billion pound businesses so things change! Credit to the ITKs on here for being ahead of the curve!
Darwin isn't a done deal, but Matt had no reason to message me if it wasn't more plausible than we thought!
15 Jun 2026 19:05:33
His name, I follow a couple of content creators, and 3 weeks before the fraud was sacked, they had said and maintained Slot was outta here, and they never, ever wavered even during the "Oh, Slot is staying" hysteria.
Not saying you are wrong, but I am saying that people knew he was gone despite the whole hysteria. Mike Gordon must have had his cards very close to his chest.
15 Jun 2026 19:08:29
HNID...No need to explain yourself, mate.
Thanks for sharing your info...keep it coming, mate.
15 Jun 2026 19:32:19
That's exactly it, OliRed! I came back from the Brentford game fairly sure Arne was gone because of how he distanced himself from everything on the bench!
However, I won't piggyback on other people's information!
15 Jun 2026 19:54:06
Is that sniff?
15 Jun 2026 16:53:03
Uruguayan journalist Juan Pablo Romero is claiming Darwin will sign for Liverpool after the World Cup, contract details yet to be finalised.
15 Jun 2026 17:51:34
He needs to polish that banjo, maybe Iraola can get him to hit that cow's arse. I am looking forward to it.
15 Jun 2026 16:52:56
Sorry gents.
Forget to mention.
Liverpool may well be looking to triggering the release clause for Nico Schlotterbeck.
PSG are also in the mix, along with Real Madrid, but the options Madrid have I'd doubt it.
Cheers.
15 Jun 2026 17:25:10
I wouldn't mind that at all.
15 Jun 2026 17:33:28
Yes, would be happy with him, doesn't he have a clause allowing to leave for a reduced fee?
Anything on Palestra Robbo or Diomande?
Thanks.
15 Jun 2026 17:45:48
Looks good in the air from watching my first World Cup game last night, well, half hour of it till I switched off.
Can't wait for the WC to be done + new prem season to start !!!
15 Jun 2026 17:47:13
This would be a necessary move in my eyes, we may be well stacked with talented young CBs, but they're still very young. A proper senior CB would be ideal. Bastoni or Schlotterbeck, either I would be happy with.
We need somebody who can seamlessly take the reins from Virgil. Waiting to replace him in a year's time is far too risky imo. Bringing them in this year gives them time to assimilate whilst learning from the best.
15 Jun 2026 17:52:57
Was about to post saying we should activate it. Isn't it like £50m, which is a bargain? A left footed lcb.
15 Jun 2026 18:32:35
If we sign Schlotterbeck, does that mean that VVD leaves this season?
Both will be starting CBs, unless VVD moves to RCB.
15 Jun 2026 19:02:41
JLC, I asked that question of Ed001 a few days ago. He suggested that if we signed a peak LCB that Virgil may just be phased out.
Looking at our options, Jacquet will be coming in - albeit will need preseason given his shoulder injury in Feb.
Leoni is only due back now and will need some time to get up to speed given the nature of his injury.
I think Schlotterbeck and Virg (if Nico came in) would be a starting partnership, but that would mean Virg going RCB potentially.
15 Jun 2026 19:48:21
Virgil would play ahead of Schlotterbeck. Still a top centreback.
15 Jun 2026 16:38:54
Afternoon Gents.
I see reports of Nunez returning, I've been told this isn't as clear cut as some people may think.
Is it a possibility?
Probably/maybe.
But I've been told it's doubtful at this time.
Another update is Diomande is progressing well, just a case of numbers.
Cheers.
15 Jun 2026 17:19:05
Cheers, Robbo.
15 Jun 2026 17:25:10
Cheers, Robbo.
Let's hope it is a case of numbers and he signs. He looked direct and strong in yesterday's game.
15 Jun 2026 17:48:38
Robbo, you're breaking hearts here, mate, thanks anyway.
15 Jun 2026 17:54:35
Crunch them numbers and please get him signed!
15 Jun 2026 17:55:45
Why don't we utilise Danns or Will Wright.
I know they have had injuries, but if we have a Gakpo or player who can play across the line as 2nd choice, one of the 2 could easily be 3rd.
15 Jun 2026 18:07:39
Danns and Wright don't have the pace.
15 Jun 2026 16:07:04
Hi all,
Darwin Nunez has informed his Uruguay teammates that he is Merseyside bound.
15 Jun 2026 16:39:57
The blue side, perhaps.
15 Jun 2026 16:44:05
Cheers, VG.
I shamelessly love the madman!
15 Jun 2026 16:44:26
Tranmere getting a decent player.
15 Jun 2026 16:46:04
Good business.
15 Jun 2026 16:49:46
I'm not sure I'm ready for that kind of hurt again...
Darwin could be sublime one minute and a total clown show the next.
No idea how he's done at Saudi tbh.
15 Jun 2026 16:54:59
I really don't mind if we are getting him back with low wages and a short contract. Good to be the backup before Ekitike fully back, especially, I believe, we will sell Gakpo.
15 Jun 2026 16:55:19
Nunez for prez.
15 Jun 2026 17:02:55
Never a dull moment while he's on the pitch.
Can't help but like the lad. Hope Iraola can work wonders with him.
15 Jun 2026 17:04:43
He's the kind of character we need, tbh, squandered a lot of chances but I think for a cheap price and lower wages, it's a fantastic deal.
15 Jun 2026 17:05:52
Thank you for the news, Victor
Are you coming back with a pay cut?
And what's going on with the other targets?
15 Jun 2026 17:26:08
Love Nunez, will be great to have him back.
15 Jun 2026 17:58:29
Love Darwin, made up if he comes back.
15 Jun 2026 19:09:37
Depends on his wages. I'd take him at £40k per week max. Otherwise it's a multi-million pound punt.
15 Jun 2026 19:17:23
Ngumhoa gets paid more than that, Ron. 😂
15 Jun 2026 19:28:44
He's not a charity case, Ron. £150k a week, more like it. Considering we got a big fee for him and could get another fee if he leaves, that seems reasonable. Yes, he missed chances, but what striker doesn't. I saw Isak miss plenty for Newcastle. We have missed what Nunez provided in other areas. With Iraola's style of play, rotation will be essential, otherwise we will suffer late-season burn-out. The more forwards we have, the better the options off the bench, and that is crucial.
15 Jun 2026 15:04:52
Hello all,
The club's main efforts are on Diomande, still with plenty of work to do on the legal complexities and overall package with RBL.
The club wanted it done last week, but issues kept popping up which I’m not going into detail on.
In the meantime, LFC are also mulling over a deal to re-sign Darwin Nunez on a free transfer.
Bouaddi is someone we’ve tracked for a long time, difficult deal as he’ll have his pick of the clubs.
Adam Wharton still liked along with Alex Scott. I suspect a deal isn’t too difficult to conclude for either (would be one of not both).
Whilst the World Cup is on, I wouldn’t put guarantees on anything transfer wise; it’s extremely tough as valuations go up and down like stocks and shares.
Busy time to be an agent.
Ta
15 Jun 2026 15:22:59
Thanks for the update, Carra.
15 Jun 2026 15:25:04
Thank you, Carra.
15 Jun 2026 15:27:46
Hope we don't sign Nunez. Rubbish.
15 Jun 2026 15:27:52
Is right, Carra, hopefully they don't mull over Darwin for too long, get it done yosser.
15 Jun 2026 15:29:07
Excellent Carra, much appreciated.
I know people have their reservations, but I think Darwin would be excellent cover for the upcoming season for lw and cf. Isak won't be able to play 90 mins of every game, and Ekitike is injured.
Darwin being able to cover the left is a massive bonus too.
I know he misses more than he should, but I'd rather a player who can get into those positions than someone who is anonymous all match. On a free transfer, I don't see who else is better?
15 Jun 2026 15:29:37
It's gonna be a tough time on here if we have to wait until the end of the World Cup before we see some transfer action haha.
15 Jun 2026 15:39:45
Wharton and Scott are way too expensive for what they are, it's just English tax, and neither of them remotely fix the issues we have in midfield.
15 Jun 2026 15:40:26
Always love a Carra update!
The World Cup does mess everything up a little bit.
Patience will be needed for now, and the first few months of the season!
15 Jun 2026 15:48:32
Nunez on a free, great imo, I'd take him for his work rate and defending from the front. He annoys defenders and he's still got pace..... there's worse out there!!
15 Jun 2026 15:54:28
I'd love Nunez to come back. He was a cult hero and if he came back on a free transfer, the pressure of being a big money signing is gone and he comes back as a loveable back up striker in the Divock Origi mould. Origi was not a great player either, but we damn well loved him to bits all the same!
15 Jun 2026 15:56:38
I remember wanting us to move on from Darwin last season, so long as an adequate replacement was found, and I think on paper we did that, although once we got Ekitike and the Isak deal looked like it was going to be well overpriced (which it was by about 30-40m), I thought it was probably best to actually keep Nunez as cover for Ekitike and just bringing in a top LW, I actually think that would have maybe ended up working out better for us, but it’s all hypothetical.
We got a decent-ish fee for Nunez and I think it was the best move for us to move on from him. Now, him returning on a free is a different ball game, especially with Ekitike and Isak being injury prone. I think it is a no brainer, so long as this means we move on from the likes of Gakpo and Chiesa (with Salah already gone). I think at that point it makes sense for us to bring in 1-2 top wide forwards and we are set in the attack, which imo massively downgraded from the season we won the league. Nunez is a different prospect under Iraola, he’ll still be clumsy and miss chances but from a business stand point he makes so much more sense than paying £40m for a back up striker that doesn’t have the same numbers as Nunez, or relying on Isak and Ekitike to stay fit and start every game, or god forbid Gakpo through the middle.
This is coming from someone that was desperate to move on from him as well, the transfer makes sense, so long as we get another 1-2 to bolster the attack, which we look poised to do unless we dilly dally like we did with the likes of Semenyo. 2 of Diamonde, Barcola or Bowen (cheaper alternative with PL experience and an English player I think we need more of in the team personally) would vastly improve our attack with Gakpo, Chiesa and Salah leaving.
Also on the midfield front, I agree with VV, neither Wharton or Scott fix our issues in midfield, unless one is brought in as a Macca replacement, and we still intend on getting a certified DM. A DM that can play that fast intense Iraola style should be a priority for the midfield, as talented as Wharton is, I’m not sure he’ll thrive in that style, unless he turns into Hendo somehow.
15 Jun 2026 15:58:29
Also means funds can go elsewhere, and Darwin won't expect to be a starter. We do need cover for Isak, and Hugo is out for next season pretty much. Danns is not reliable.
15 Jun 2026 16:01:06
Darwin on a free is a no brainer.
Get his shots sorted and could bang a few in this season.
Rotate him with Isak.
15 Jun 2026 16:06:49
Darwin for free is a no brainer.
Knows the place, knows the league, knows what it means to play for Liverpool.
He misses more than he scores, but he gets himself, somehow, more chances. I am sure Isak is an upgrade from him, but I am not sure about Ekitike, who has a long-term injury anyway.
Darwin plus Diomande, and if we move on Gakpo, one more attacker, we should be fine.
I think we still need a proper DM in the mold of Rice, and someone who can hit fast/long passes.
I am quite disappointed in Wirtz, to be honest...
15 Jun 2026 16:08:52
Darwin and Diomande would be a good double signing. Then add a cm and rb!
15 Jun 2026 16:09:01
Cheers, Carra.
15 Jun 2026 16:13:27
Cheers for update, Carra.
I'd take Darwin in a heartbeat on a free, hardly injured and works his socks off. Yes he could score more but imagine him under Iraola. Think it could be a very clever signing!
15 Jun 2026 16:13:37
Thanks for the update, Cara.
Will Diomande still have a high chance of being recruited?
And does the midfielder target count as 2 of Wharton, Scott, and Vuadi?
I'm also curious about the target of the right running back.
Thank you always.
15 Jun 2026 16:16:41
Yes Darwin!! Not a clue what you just said, but I love it!
15 Jun 2026 15:28:31
Thanks Carra mate. Much appreciated. To be honest your and Robbo's updates are much more interesting than the farce that is going on called the World Cup.
I for one do like the idea of Nunez back on a free. Will bring the necessary bite to the team which was lacking last year. Also with Ekitike injured till may be end of this year, and then could take a few months to get match fit, we cannot rely on Isak alone. Nunez would look like a shrewd buy back, as he was also a fan favourite.
Ed, What are your thoughts on this news?
Cheers!
15 Jun 2026 16:28:23
It's a yes to Nunez from me, especially given that Ekitike could miss all of next season - we could shell out £50m to replace him or £0m. Feels like a no brainer.
I have to wonder how different last season may have gone had we kept Nunez.
We were barely ever a handful in attack last season, I know he missed lots of chances, but he did cause (sorry) quite a bit of chaos amongst defenders, and that may have helped us turn some draws into wins.
Give the lad another go, I say!
15 Jun 2026 16:31:39
Whatever you make of the player, selling him for £50M and resigning him 12 months later on a free is not bad business. Only stumbling block for me would be the wages. He'd be great cover whilst Hugo recovers, but we can't be giving him Saudi wages, even with the free transfer.
15 Jun 2026 17:05:56
I did read on a website, can't remember which, a few weeks back, that he changed agents last season, and the agent he left is not too happy about it and wanted to be involved in the deal.
15 Jun 2026 17:13:06
Nice one, Carra. An exciting summer ahead by the sounds of it.
15 Jun 2026 17:20:35
Cheers Carra.
15 Jun 2026 17:55:44
Thanks, Carra and Robbo, for providing rays of light as usual. We need one of these signings to come off now.
15 Jun 2026 18:57:46
Love to see Darwin back, great attitude, works hard and will be good cover whilst Hugo gets fit as well and then rotation, seems great but of business in my eyes.
15 Jun 2026 19:46:42
The fact Nunez had language barriers first time around wouldn't have overly helped communications with Klopp... Iraola being a native Spanish speaker may prove to be a help if Nunez does come back?
Could never fault his attitude, work ethic or application. A faster paced game under Iraola may play more to his instinctive nature... hopefully anyway!
14 Jun 2026 20:58:55
From what i'm hearing we are favourites to sign Bouaddi, can any of the Ed's or ITKS confirm?
14 Jun 2026 21:47:50
All I've read online is we have been in talks. Arsenal and PSG are favourites. Apparently he would like to stay in France but the club prefer a sale to the Prem. He would represent a better deal at the £60 quoted. Looks like we only wanted to spend that on either Scott or Wharton.
14 Jun 2026 21:57:08
Hearing from Indy, I imagine, as Ornstein and Romano have mentioned it.
14 Jun 2026 22:03:34
Cheaper than Alex Scott.
14 Jun 2026 22:20:09
'From what I'm hearing' = Read on Twitter.
14 Jun 2026 22:50:40
It's a rumours site, @Chewy.
14 Jun 2026 23:02:42
Word is he wants to move to PSG as the next step. Not sure how much he'd play there with the MF they have.
He'd also not be first choice at Arsenal.
He's a punt, whatever way you look at it, although 40m less than Wharton, although Wharton is a known quantity.
15 Jun 2026 00:33:27
It is West Derby, but too many people on here like to word things as if they're ITK. Typing "I read on x" is just as easy as anything else, yet many people make the conscious decision to phrase things a little more ambiguously.
15 Jun 2026 00:34:12
60m seems a bit high, prices are crazy right now. I would've thought 40-45m would be more appropriate for an 18yo with 1.5 seasons in France.
15 Jun 2026 07:02:14
My thoughts as well, Chewy, no problem with sharing news off of Twitter, but just say, Indy posted or Romano posted or whatever, rather than... "I'm hearing this" or "what I've heard is" no need for all the cloak and dagger!
I'd understand if they're actually "in the know" and can't share that info, totally understandable, but if it's just something you've read, mention where you've read it.
👍🏻
15 Jun 2026 07:02:58
Wage and fee inflation in football is mad. Whatever a value was 12 months ago for an incoming player add £10-20m. Same the year before.
15 Jun 2026 07:06:08
@chewy, I'm guessing that's a dig at me? Let me tell you I don't do social media, never had Facebook, Twitter or X accounts. All my information I get is from an agent of a current England player, plus I also know someone who works behind the scenes on MOTD, so before you start accusing people of where their info comes from, maybe think, or even better, ask.
{Ed078's Note - popcorn at the ready.
15 Jun 2026 05:31:45
But he's passing on what he's seen just like 90% of people on here, that's the beauty of this site it's always been weird and wonderful bits of info no matter where it comes from. we've had window cleaners, dog walkers, Scouse wives, mums of players. let's not call someone out for trying to sound like they're in the know. truth is there's only a very small number of people who seem to get things on the nose. so wind your neck in because you come across like you wish you was in the know but because your not your calling people out for passing info on regardless of where it's from.
it's not that deep chewy it's a football runours site mate, the guys created this to have a laugh and share information and that's what makes this site work. so to anyone who has any info keep passing it on. keep up the good work Eds and all posters welcome on here 👍
15 Jun 2026 07:30:32
Is it really that important for people to actually post where they get their info from?
It's a rumors site after all.
I hope you keep posting, Racey... I appreciate any info that gets shared, and don't really care where it comes from. We will never control the outcomes, so why bother about it?
15 Jun 2026 08:32:39
Maybe Chewy should vet all posts before they are released.
Oh, wait, it is a rumours site.
Do I believe every rumour is gospel? No. But I still enjoy coming to the site and reading all manner of posts.
15 Jun 2026 09:00:17
Since when did we have to let everyone know where they get the info.
Does Carra, Robbo or Fields say where they get their info from?
Grow up Chewy
15 Jun 2026 09:21:17
Another thought on the matter of whether posters are ITK or not. When someone on these pages asks if a rumour relating to a particular player is likely to happen, it creates a talking point.
People will respond with:
That would be a great signing, just what we need. Or.
Wouldn't go anywhere near him, he is not good enough for us and is overpriced.
It then opens up a host of opinions.
15 Jun 2026 09:53:59
From what I've heard, people on here are getting moody with people who say from what I've heard or I've just seen. Don't shoot the messenger, cause it's just what I've heard.
15 Jun 2026 10:43:20
From what I've heard on the grapevine that you can just hammer people for posting on a rumours site. Source? Direct from my sausage thumb 👍🏻 😂😂
15 Jun 2026 11:38:35
I'd only ever heard of him because FPF has been recommending him on here for over a year. I was thoroughly impressed with him against Brazil, though. He made Paqueta, Guimaraes, and Casemiro look like they were old ex-pros in a Soccer Aid game.
They had absolutely no answer to his defensive work rate and ability to drive forward. He schooled them, and they're not as awful as he made them look, almost single handedly.
15 Jun 2026 12:41:21
If it's a rumour, what's the issue with saying something like 'Ornstein reckons ...' or 'according to the Fat Kid from Bolton', etc.
If it's an opinion, just stick IMO at the start of a post.
Just saying '(insert player's name) is signing for us' or X player is going to cost us £100m' just sounds like made up stuff.
In this instance, if @Racey had cited a source, @Chewy wouldn't have needed to second guess the source, and the usual bickering wouldn't have been needed.
15 Jun 2026 13:18:15
Or just read the posts, if you have something constructive to add or debate, then add it, if not, read it and move along. It really is that simple, and there is never any need to make things personal between each other, we're literally all here for one common purpose, and that's our club.
15 Jun 2026 13:21:20
And just to add, having been reading this site since 2005, I can guarantee that this place provides the most accurate, honest football information the Internet provides. That's down to everybody's input and the hard work of the great editors and those we have sadly lost!
15 Jun 2026 14:03:55
Apologies, Raceylfc, didn't realise you were ITK, mate.
15 Jun 2026 14:20:28
Chewy on a mad one today. 😂
15 Jun 2026 14:23:44
So, people are expected to reveal their sources. I guess to receive credibility on a rumours site. Fine. And then what happens when the sources find out their info is being spread out, and then stop revealing? Who are you going to get your daily fix of "verified" rumours from?
And I've never really understood this "ITK" nonsense.
A rumour by definition is always something that could happen, may happen. Regardless of the source. Some are more right than others, and some are more wrong than others. So what? If you don't have the stomach for it, then don't read.
15 Jun 2026 15:48:54
@chewy, No worries mate, I don't class myself as an ITK, I just pass info on from people who are. 👍
15 Jun 2026 15:59:41
I've heard a rumour, on the grapevine that I don't fully understand, just passing on information I'm hearing, not that I'm in the know at all, that this rumour site is class! 👏👏👏👏
14 Jun 2026 21:22:17
Rumours online that the club have told any interested parties that £60 plus would deal a deal for Gakpo. Spurs still really interested as they prefer him to Savinho.
14 Jun 2026 22:21:25
Gakpo is not going to move from a team who won the Premier League last season to a team that just barely escaped relegation.
14 Jun 2026 22:26:34
I'm calling it now. Spurs will be top 5 next season.
14 Jun 2026 22:35:21
Might get decent odds for that.
14 Jun 2026 22:41:06
Chewy, if they stay injury free next season and recruit well, then Spurs will do very well.
14 Jun 2026 23:07:32
Haha Spurs top 5 haha, oh my days, the sun has been out and the beer flowing, mate.
I do defo think they'll finish better than last season, but absolutely zero chance top 5.
{Ed078's Note - maybe take a screen shot of this Florian?
14 Jun 2026 23:38:46
Trent will end up at Spurs.
15 Jun 2026 00:06:19
No way Spurs could afford Trent's wages, and no way Spurs will finish top 5. I don't even know where the basis for that prediction would come from.
They've finished 17th for the last 2 seasons. Are you saying that De Zerbi is that good he can get a team from relegation fodder to Champions League in 1 season?
I think 8th is about their ceiling if they have a good season, but more realistically 10th to 13th.

£60 seems a bit low even for us.

Florian with another one of his classically deluded predictions. Love it. Bookmarked.
Keegan's Perm, and what's the basis for that, barely avoided relegation 2 seasons in a row?
Even if Tottenham did improve next season its completely irrelevant, Gakpo is not moving from a club who won the league last season to a club that's barely avoided relegation for 2 years now. The chap would literally laugh at the idea.

We should bookmark Florian's and Klopp4pm's posts....
I reckon Spurs will be right up there, along with Chelsea, City, Utd, A******** and us....
Villa will struggle with the extra matches... Next season will be the return of the traditional Top 6....which includes Spurs.
{Ed078's Note - Spurs actually have a decent squad. The correct management could see a decent season from them.

I don't know where Spurs will finish, but they do look much better under De Zerbi. They look like they have a bit of fight in them.
Another quick note for Chewy. You do seem quite confrontational at times, I've noticed.
You can say things a bit nicer with less belittling if you don't agree with someone. It doesn't come across well. Not to start anything with you, just maybe think if you can leave that stuff out and see how it comes across.

£60m would be good given his wages.

The experts are out. 😄

I really can't see Gakpo leaving Arsenal and going to Spurs for £60 plus. 😂

My 2 Spurs mates just spat their coffee out that someone thinks they'll be challenging for top 5 next season.
Anything better than mid table next season is an absolutely amazing season for them.
15 Jun 2026 12:34:32
Chewy,
How do you know what Gakpo would want in his next club and whether he would laugh at the offer on the table?
Just an observation as you're presenting you opinion as fact in that;
"The chap would literally laugh at the idea"
In the above rumours post you wanted posters to cite their references so please follow suit and heed your own standards.

While I too think that it's a bit far fetched to suppose that Tottenham will go from 17th to 5th or higher in a season, United did (unfortunately for us all) go from 16th to 3rd in one season. A case can certainly be made that United have a much better squad than Tottenham though, which isn't really saying much.
With Kulusevski, Maddison and Kudus all back next year, though, they should probably do better, though it looks like they are going to sell both of their overrated center halves too.
They, however, have two middling keepers, average striking options up top, an okay midfield, Maddison and Simons in the 10, each with their own weaknesses, and two defensively suspect full backs in Spence and Porro. Their two best players are probably actually Bergvall and Gray.
Also Kopite, there's no use asking Chewy to be nice. He'll tell you to not get your panties in a twist and take up knitting if you can't take banter among lads.

To be fair, I called Utd as finishing in the top 4 at either our expense or Chelsea's before the season started. Everyone thought I was mad. I don't see Spurs in the top 4 this season though. Chelsea, I think, are very likely to rejoin the CL.
