Hi all,

Hearing this evening that Diomande has agreed personal terms with the club. We are looking to finalise a fee with RB. Could see quick movement on this in the next 72 hours, once Iraola is formally announced.

Brilliant news. Exciting times ahead!

04 Jun 2026 19:46:47
BBC just announced Iraola. :)

4

04 Jun 2026 19:52:03
Cheers VG, let's hope we can get things sorted asap. 🤞🏻

04 Jun 2026 19:53:10
Iraola confirmed, with a smart intro video about how he wants to connect and be part of something special. Perhaps the club are more tuned in than they're given credit for.

2

04 Jun 2026 19:55:36
Cheers, Victor.

04 Jun 2026 19:56:03
I think we should get Messi for 12 months until Olise becomes available. He would be a good short term signing as we wait for Olise to come in next summer and do the business for the next 10 years like Salah.

2

04 Jun 2026 20:06:46
The "Welsh Xavi", I see you don't even talk a good game.

3

04 Jun 2026 20:19:33
He's just absolutely skinned Konate, but couldn't find a final pass (France/Ivory Coast as we speak, if anyone's interested).

He's playing on the left tonight....
We've got ourselves a potential superstar, if he works as hard as Mane/Salah did.

1

04 Jun 2026 20:35:30
Slight scare there when he went down holding his shoulder, but he seems ok now.
He looks very strong for his age.

04 Jun 2026 19:21:02
My Dad's mate is the brother of a guy who works for the physio department at Liverpool. Apparently Diomande deal is done, flying in tomorrow. News will break tomorrow morning.

8

04 Jun 2026 19:53:00
Everyone get ready for the babbel copter.

3

04 Jun 2026 20:19:05
It just got a full service yesterday FW.

0

04 Jun 2026 20:27:49
Believable as he's playing tonight as we speak, so flying in tomorrow to get it all done before he flies out to the US for the World Cup.

2

04 Jun 2026 18:19:18
Another one for the youth team.

Former Liverpool academy talent Patrick Farkas is reportedly close to returning to Liverpool this summer after leaving four years ago.

5

04 Jun 2026 18:57:12
Is mother Farkas his manager?

10

04 Jun 2026 19:14:53
Bulking up the u21 squad, and has a highly rated brother also in the academy.

2

04 Jun 2026 19:40:38
I'm F****** made up with that news.

1

04 Jun 2026 19:52:31
...And in this week's news...

Arne Slot finally Farkas off.

2

04 Jun 2026 19:55:36
Meet the Farkas.

3

04 Jun 2026 20:19:58
Big or little Farkas. 🤔

0

04 Jun 2026 20:30:40
Big Farkas.

His younger brother is still in our academy.

04 Jun 2026 18:06:34
Hi eds, is there any truth in the rumour that we have spoken to West Ham in regards to Mateus Fernandes?
Quality player and I believe he is the type of player that could thrive in our midfield.
Thanks

6

04 Jun 2026 17:34:17.
Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Yan Diomande. A deal for the player will be completed within 48 hours.

Up the reds.

22

04 Jun 2026 18:11:03
Leipzig aren't getting £112 for 🇨🇮 Diomande

More realistically, £70m/£75m + Elliott (£20m/£25m) + Eichhorn ⌛️/ Nyoni loan.

5

04 Jun 2026 18:11:26
Didn't you also say Slot will be staying?

15

04 Jun 2026 18:15:35
We need to get Greek Scouser back.
He's just scored a great goal for Greece against Sweden. 😀

4

04 Jun 2026 18:17:58
He was until he wasn't.

8

04 Jun 2026 18:30:31
@Liver_La, I'm pretty sure that is the plan. He'll come back to replace Robbo.

2

04 Jun 2026 18:41:53
It seems unlikely that we'll complete a £100 million transfer in 48 hours.

1

04 Jun 2026 18:48:53
It's been ongoing for a while, Cookie, it sounds like, pal, so could just be the final parts.

I personally have no idea, but hope he does arrive.

2

04 Jun 2026 18:53:03
Maybe Diomande is signing until he isn't as well.

3

04 Jun 2026 18:56:51
There's absolutely zero chance a £100m transfer will be done in 48 hours, even if terms have been agreed.

1

04 Jun 2026 19:17:38
£100m for a player that's only played 43 top flight games in his career. Madness

3

04 Jun 2026 19:31:53
Diomande shows up as the best first season performer in the Bundi Ever.
He has the potential to be Mane +, and we will not pay the quoted fee.

1

04 Jun 2026 20:05:53
He does have flashes of Mane, pretty powerful, very quick, and a strong finisher. Not sure whether he's best off the left or right, but looks like an exciting player.

04 Jun 2026 17:15:48
Hi all,

Alexis MacAllister's agent has been touting moves elsewhere - particularly conversing with one Florentino Perez. The player is keen to depart this summer but is yet to make a personal decision until after the World Cup.

The club are aware of interest from Real Madrid and are open to selling for the right price.

35

04 Jun 2026 17:38:01
Swap for Valverde.

10

04 Jun 2026 17:48:18
Wahey!

4

04 Jun 2026 17:50:03
On current form he's worth about 4 packets of super noodles.

16

04 Jun 2026 17:50:07
He'll fit right in with that Madrid team with his antics.

9

04 Jun 2026 17:51:13
Who else can afford/attract him? Athleti / Barca?

Let's see how Hughes does negotiating with RM.

8

04 Jun 2026 17:53:12
Dream move that Something, but he's not going anywhere.

2

04 Jun 2026 17:57:33
Macca potentially going is fantastic news if true. Unfortunately, his legs have gone, and that was evident even in Slot's walking-pace tactics. He definitely doesn't fit into Iraola's style of play.

If all the ITK transfer news from the last few days is true, and both Macca and Gakpo depart, somebody may need to check on my wellbeing.

This is becoming an unreasonable amount of good news for one transfer window.

6

04 Jun 2026 18:03:21
It would be a mistake to sell him. This year, everyone played badly except for Sobo.

4

04 Jun 2026 18:13:09
He's lost, gets little physicality he had. It's best for all parties.

3

04 Jun 2026 18:20:06
I don't get where people are saying his legs have gone. He's 27 and had no major injuries. It's his desire that's gone.

6

04 Jun 2026 18:30:03
Problem we have right now with him is nobody will be stupid enough to buy him, he'll be stuck with us.

4

04 Jun 2026 18:37:57
He had some kind of mysterious injury at the end of last year. I don't buy that he was 'rested' at the end of the season. When does that ever happen?

2

04 Jun 2026 18:50:06
Hope he can have a good World Cup. Yes he was poor last season, but overall he is a top player. He will be better with Slott gone or we will get best part of 50-60 million for him.

1

04 Jun 2026 18:53:49
Hopefully he has a great World Cup so we can cash in.

2

04 Jun 2026 18:59:46
Swap for Mbappe?

0

04 Jun 2026 19:01:20
He was a very good midfielder, but something has not been right since he had an unexplained injury for months. Is Ventolin allowed for asthmatic players?

0

04 Jun 2026 19:09:06
He was crap under Klopp so can't see Iraola getting a tune out of him. Hopefully he is this World Cup's Toto Schillaci. (RIP Toto)

0

04 Jun 2026 19:35:14
People have short memories. Alexis was the general during the league winning season.
He is Latin and understandably wants to play in Spain eventually, so we are in Edwards/Hughes territory. They intend to stop the outflux of Bosmans and out manoeuvre RM in the process, which is something I look forward to.

Iraola will have him doing less running as his tactics will be much smarter, and even if he stays another year, we'll still get back more than what we paid for him.

Dom S is a bigger issue.

0

04 Jun 2026 19:51:21
Would take either of Valverde or Huijsen for him. If Huijsen surplus, I would like to try and take him from them, such a good player with a high ceiling and can cut the prem.

0

04 Jun 2026 20:00:51
Feeling I'm going to wake up and this last few days has been a brilliant dream.

0

04 Jun 2026 16:33:32
Literally been in Liverpool today visiting a client for work. (Not football related work). And a lot of people, especially around Concert Square where we had a few cheeky ones, were all saying Trent back to Liverpool. Anyone know of any truth in this.

I could see him personally wanting to com back even if he does not admit it with the signing of Dumfries knocking him further down the pecking order.

And him behind Diomande with his pace could be TAA & Salah take 2...

5

04 Jun 2026 16:49:05
No chance.

11

04 Jun 2026 16:50:29
He can sulk on the Madrid bench. He made his bed, he's gotta lie in it.

17

04 Jun 2026 16:57:20
He who is without sin etc etc... I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

19

04 Jun 2026 16:58:38
Going to cost Madrid 20 million to send him back.

14

04 Jun 2026 17:05:30
He was unbelievable for Jurgan but I don't think he suits our new manager.

4

04 Jun 2026 17:10:44
These rumours have been doing the rounds ever since he left. It's not happening. The lad's a lot more arrogant than he lets on; he's not scurrying back with his tail between his legs.

8

04 Jun 2026 17:13:22
Not happening.

10

04 Jun 2026 17:17:55
Anyone who doesn't want Trent back is so bitter they should be supporting Everton. They are also clueless about Liverpool, despite having watched them for years. Losing Trent was one of the biggest factors for the poor form last season. The whole team was affected, mostly Salah, who missed the long pass that got the ball to him early before the opposition had time to regain their shape.

A lot of the turgid passing around at the back was because, apart from VVD with the diagonal out to Salah, nobody else could beat the press with a quick accurate ball out to midfield. If Hughes and Edwards get the other recruitment right, I would go as far as to say that with Trent we would win the league. I'm sure Iraola would love him back and Trent would suit his system perfectly.

13

04 Jun 2026 17:24:01
He can't come back just yet... Has a Ballon d'Or to win over there...

12

04 Jun 2026 17:29:40
Tbh a lot of the turgid passing around the back was due to the coach. Trent wouldn't have been allowed to play to his strengths last season, Salah wouldn't have got any early balls and if he did he would have been on his own.

2

04 Jun 2026 17:29:45
I'm not bitter. I just think f*** him. He didn't give a toss about us. No effort in games (Utd springs to mind). Nah, no way back, like if your bird jumps into bed with another fella, no use to us now he's soiled.

11

04 Jun 2026 17:25:53
KemlynRoad .And you call other supporters clueless!

4

04 Jun 2026 17:32:42
Man chases riches and accepts a new job after years of service at his previous one - hardly a first or out of the ordinary, although I understand why our tribalism causes us to be unhappy about how he went about it.

He's still the best RB on the planet though, in the right team.

1

04 Jun 2026 17:34:05
Get a grip, Kemlyn!! Lad was flat out learning Spanish; he couldn't have got out of LFC fast enough! He sold his soul, and his status as a LFC legend went in smoke with the lad!
Best of look to him where ever he ends, but I, for one of many, never want him in LFC red again!!

8

04 Jun 2026 17:52:18
Strongly biased here, as McManaman and Trent were two of my favourite players to watch. I don't understand why players who cost us nothing have a duty to get us a transfer fee?

McManaman was perhaps more justified in doing an 'Bosman' after Houllier moved out Roy Evans, fell out with Fowler, and tried to shift Macca to Barcelona without consulting him.

Isn't Mo's behaviour worse? Was given a two year contract, then threw his toys out of the pram and demanded a free transfer after being benched for just 3 games.

I reckon Klopp would have advised against giving Mo that extension - a storm was going to come once he was no longer first choice. It's why Klopp let Mane go.

These guys have such short careers, I can't blame Trent for wanting to test himself overseas after winning every single cup with us. I don't think that this makes him any more arrogant than any of the alphas who are top level players.

It takes a certain kind of ego to make it to the top of any sport. I would take Trent back in a heartbeat.

4

04 Jun 2026 17:58:14
KemlynRoad, any idea how many assists Trent provided for Salah? 13, mate. That's not per season, that's over 9 years, total. Tell me again how Salah's not scoring because Trent's gone. Did somebody say clueless?

4

04 Jun 2026 18:12:53
I personally don't want him back for football and financial reasons. He didn't kill anyone, so I'm over him winding down his contract and stringing the fans along. But he's too inconsistent, defensively poor, and old for his transfer fee and salary. Avoid.

3

04 Jun 2026 18:17:05
If this were true, how would it work? Wouldn't we have to pay Real a fortune?

0

04 Jun 2026 18:18:51
Trent's head has got far too big for our club, if he had never played for us we wouldn't want him anywhere near us.
He thinks he does not have to defend and just walks around like he is the greatest player since Pele.
If we changed his attitude, worked hard, I would have him back in a heartbeat, but the player he is, no thanks.

Shankly would have dragged him out by his hair, and not let him back in, total opposite of what this club stands for.
What a shame for a child that grew up loving this club, that he went so far away, but I guess that's the world today.

0

04 Jun 2026 18:30:43
Trent didn't care about us when he left, in return I don't care about him now he has.

3

04 Jun 2026 19:11:44
More chance of Slot returning than Trent!

0

04 Jun 2026 19:56:40
A lot of replies to answer here. Can't do them all, but will try to cover some points. Yes, he left. I didn't like it, but have any of you not made a mistake? Rush left and came back. I called you bitters, because you just can't let anything go, even if it cuts off your nose to spite your face. A bit like Reform voters who will vote to give up their free healthcare and human rights, in exchange for being allowed to be racist. They don't get the better of the deal, but they don't care. If Trent helps Liverpool to win the Premier or Champions League, I don't care if he left and came back.

ChewySuarez7, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you just made a mistake. That sounds better than saying you don't know what you're talking about. You said Trent only gave Salah 13 assists. Not bad for a right back who plays on the same side of the pitch, but that's not what I said.

If Trent hits a long ball and puts Salah free on the right, and Salah crosses it for someone else to score, does Trent get that assist? No, but it was the key pass in the move. First game I watched this season was the pre-season friendly at Preston. I was behind the goal and watched Salah make countless runs in behind then stop, because the ball never came. I said to my son next to me that Salah would have a bad season because his service would be restricted, but I didn't realise how bad it would be.

For the record, I don't think Liverpool will bring him back, because they won't pay a fee for someone they only got 8 million for. But whoever they sign, they won't fit the system better than Trent. Bradley and Frimpong combined are not as good.

04 Jun 2026 20:00:33
As far as I remember macca never said he wasn't any where signing a contract, so can't tar him with that brush unlike Owen, Trent and I oh
I might be wrong, ed1 will know

Contacted Leipzig over Diomande. A head of PSG as it stands.

6

04 Jun 2026 17:11:34
...Shoulders, knees, and toes.

5

04 Jun 2026 17:19:51
Chewy, tell the truth. You were a Lil' John fan back in the day, weren'tcha?

1

04 Jun 2026 17:43:53
What's their number, mate? I'll give them a bell as well, see if I can swing it for us. 😂

04 Jun 2026 18:00:06
"From the windooooows..."

1

04 Jun 2026 18:28:57
"To the walls."

Sorry couldn't help myself. 😂

04 Jun 2026 16:17:33
Afternoon Gents

From what I've been told,
PSG think Diomande is too expensive, especially considering what options they already have.

The player likes PSG, he also likes LFC, this is just a media spin.

He hasn't agreed to join PSG, in fact, no official bid for him as of yet, from us, or PSG.

But I expect we will make the 1st move.

The player wants a deal done quickly, and so does LFC.

Cheers.

P.S. The transfer request from Gakpo is nonsense.

25

04 Jun 2026 16:48:54
Thanks, Robbo. He is an exciting player. Hopefully he joins.

6

04 Jun 2026 16:51:51
Any other wingers we're looking at if this doesn't materialise?

1

04 Jun 2026 16:52:36
Thanks, Robbo, it's posts like this that make this site incomparable to any other site out there. To you, and all the other regular ITK's, keep up the good work. It's appreciated by the majority. Thank you.

5

04 Jun 2026 16:53:47
Cheers Robbo, I must say I'm gutted the transfer request from Gakpo isn't genuine. He can be really good, but he's not an Iraola player.

1

04 Jun 2026 17:06:00
Thanks, Elnino. I was just about to ask the exact same thing. Is he worth the money or are there less risky alternatives, lads?

1

04 Jun 2026 17:12:31
Loely jubbly.

0

04 Jun 2026 17:16:43
I also think Diomande is expensive. We need 5-6 first team players this summer. Spending £100 million on one seems excessive.

2

04 Jun 2026 17:19:06
He looks a great player, but feel he's way overpriced.

3

04 Jun 2026 17:30:46
We should take that Rayan kid from Bournemouth too.

3

04 Jun 2026 17:34:05
Fees have gone crazy, but then so has the money in the game. The issue is with the pressure that comes with such fees, and the stats around how many players over 80m have been deemed a failure. 20 out of 27.

3

04 Jun 2026 18:14:11
"Bundesliga Tax" whenever Yan Diomande is brought up exhausts me.

Should you temper expectations for a 19 year old coming from abroad to the Premier League?

Absolutely.

But even if you subscribe to the "Bundesliga Tax" theory, please understand that Yan Diomande's '25/26 campaign is categorically the best u21 season in recent memory from the Bundesliga.

Whatever tax you need to mentally apply, double the starting value.
