In addition to the Slot news, I have some more news which people will not like.

Unfortunately this will not be a big summer for signings, while Robinson, Salah & Konate will leave on frees, we will only be signing 2 players who will fit into the first team.

The 1st player to sign will be Adam Wharton for 80 million plus, that is 75% completed.

The 2nd player will be Sarah's replacement & contrary to rumours that will not be Diomande or Barcola, in fact my contact does not have much information regarding names but was fairly confident it would not be either of those 2 lads.

Slot has been told to utilise the youth players in our system (Rio, Leoni, Bradley (when fit), Danns (when fit), McConnell, Stefan B, Nyoni).

27 May 2026 22:26:14
We have plenty of money to spend. We are 5th in net spend over the last two seasons. Spurs are top. No chance we pay 80m for Wharton. £60m is my guess.

7

27 May 2026 22:29:57
A summer of dross ahead.

4

27 May 2026 22:32:21
Sack the person who gave Slot that direction lol. 3 of those kids have chronic injury issues and one of them is coming back from an ACL.
:D

8

27 May 2026 22:36:52
Good, Slot doesn't deserve it, save it for Enrique next Summer!

1

27 May 2026 22:37:37
I like this news way more than the Slot news Guy. If you are indeed correct on Slot, I hope this is what we do. In my opinion, we anyway only need a midfielder and a winger, rest all can be easily managed by using the squad and the youngsters more effectively.

0

27 May 2026 22:38:13
Is Sarah the office manager? Obviously, it is a big job and we need to recruit prudently instead of going on Indeed.

7

27 May 2026 22:41:31
Hey GG, it's being so cheerful that keeps you going.

2

27 May 2026 22:42:47
Slot seemed very pumped about the transfer window. Seems a bit odd if that's all we are doing.

Then again, he made me watch the most horrific football I ever had to watch and told me it was mostly great with unlucky moments.

So I can believe what you say.

2

27 May 2026 22:48:54
If Konate leaves, we would be stupid not to at least sign a right back along with those two you mentioned.
Gomez for CB cover, we can't end up rotating Jones and Szobo there again for 30 games of a season.

2

27 May 2026 22:51:34
I expect they will spend a couple of hundred million great British pounds, not including sales. You can't claim transition and stop halfway through unless your revenues have dried up, which is unlikely.

2

27 May 2026 23:00:20
Even though I don't believe this rumour at all, I'll entertain it...

Slot couldn't get a tune out of the team with senior players and multiple signings, and you think he'll achieve anything with injury-prone youth and 2 signings?

Makes no logical sense. This rumour is rubbish.

1

27 May 2026 23:00:46
Poor Sarah, why's she being replaced?

4

27 May 2026 23:09:50
Wharton and Diomande? Bring on, I'm chuffed for those 2, Wharton alone helps us immensely in possession. Diomande can provide the trickery and pace that we lacked last season, but I'm a bit disappointed if that's all, no RB purchase, no LW purchase too.

0

27 May 2026 23:15:27
Robinson and Sarah. They might have stayed if Conte was coming. More drivel.

3

27 May 2026 23:20:40
Vik makes me chuckle!

He leaps on any bit of negative news from any supposed ITK and takes it as gospel, and then the positive ITKs he pooh-poohs!

4

27 May 2026 23:22:18
The named youngsters really aren't good enough. Rio yes but Nyoni is nowhere near first team.

1

27 May 2026 23:24:41
I'm sorry but I don't believe any of this.

3

27 May 2026 23:27:02
Be another huge summer as the big wigs justify their position defending Slot. I have no doubt in this, whether it works or not. That's where my doubt sits.

0

27 May 2026 23:30:25
There is simply no way we only sign Wharton and a Winger (be it Diomande, Barcola, or your mystery 3rd option).

We are most likely selling Curtis, Wharton will replace him roughly, but our midfield was already too feeble, they surely bring in a Sangare/Camara type.

In the attack we were already short of options and are losing "Sarah". We will need to bring in another body as Ekitike will be out for most of the season and Chiesa will be shown the door.

Our ownership, while daft, is not so daft as to suggest any of those youth players (bar Connor Bradley, an established first teamer -- not youth) can fill the necessary holes.

Also, doubt Konate leaves as it stands, but if he does we sign a CB.

27 May 2026 23:43:09
Each new poster is like watching Monty Python: "And now for something completely different."

1

27 May 2026 21:29:11
Italian reports Inter in for Jones. €10m difference in price. We want €30m; they don't wanna pay. Again, Italian clubs looking for freebies. Lucky to get some Parmesan for Chiesa.

5

27 May 2026 22:35:17
I have been thinking about finances in football for a while now. The Premier League, as a league, is just a monopoly in the football market now.

That has really impacted the spending power of clubs from the continent.

2

27 May 2026 22:37:47
Jesus, 20m for Jones, we'll have to pay them to take Chiesa at that rate.

2

27 May 2026 22:52:01
Regardless of opinion, Chiesa has done nothing more than try his best, unlike several others who sulked through the season. Boss lad, and it could be suggested he deserved more playing time.

6

27 May 2026 22:52:20
Keep Jones. Move Slot on.

Stay away from Dumfries!

4

27 May 2026 21:44:48
I take it the Wirtz to chelsea story is because Alonso is the chelsea manager?

If that is the case, why is Frimpong not linked too a move to west London?

It never take's long these days for the crazy stories to start, are we getting Enzo in exchange or will it be Cole Palmer as i recently read?

Its time's like these i truly miss Ed002 as he or she would quickly put these types of rumours to bed.

Good luck to Crystal Palace tonight, be great to see a clean sweep for british sides in the European finals.

We may need that 5th spot again, if things don't go according to plan, that plan looking like stick with what we have and hope for the best.

3

27 May 2026 22:12:18
Congrats to Palace, and despite the slagging off he received here today, Wharton was man of the match, set up the cup winning goal, and would bring a winning mentality to LFC.

Surprised you want a clean sweep of English sides to win European cups.

I, for one, will be fully supporting PSG in the CL final at the weekend. Can you imagine that lot in London if they set-pieced their way to a double?

13

27 May 2026 22:15:48
Sorry, I just can't wish for anything other than a PSG win on Saturday.

9

27 May 2026 22:36:34
I'll be cheering PSG on.

Mainly, cos Enrique seems like a nice guy and he is obviously a great manager.

And, there is a small chance (more hope) that if he goes back to back he may decide not to extend and look for another challenge instead lol.

7

27 May 2026 23:22:49
Shame on you all, I want any English team to win in Europe.

Except Arsenal.

And Man Utd.

And Spurs.

And Everton.

And Chelsea.

But, well done Palace and Villa!

2

27 May 2026 23:43:33
And Man City 115, Zed.

Little update.

It's rather quiet at the moment, which is weird tbh. So nothing new in regard to the manager. There is a couple of little bits of info from agents tho.

As previously stated, Barcola is seen as the alternative to Diamonde. Rumour has it that Diamonde will not be coming to Anfield, so as Robbo said below. We are all in for Barcola.

Sangare is the other preferred midfield target alongside Wharton.

Oh and Konate's agent has been approached by 2 clubs, 1 in Europe and 1 in Saudi. Nothing concrete and no, I don't know the clubs.

Unfortunately it looks like Gakpo is set to stay.

Chiesa, Elliot, Jones, Gomez and Endo have clubs sniffing about. Talk of McConnell and Bajcetic possibly being sold as well.

18

27 May 2026 21:19:41
Would love to see McConnell get some game time or a loan before selling.

4

27 May 2026 21:20:30
Those looking to be sold should be, if a good deal comes in. All out of contract in 2027, apart from Chiesa. Shame about McConnell, as he needs a loan.

1

27 May 2026 21:25:11
Is Sangare the guy from Forest, if so surely not, turns 29 this year. I hope there is another one I've missed.

1

27 May 2026 21:38:51
Pretty sure it's Sangare of Lens, Grino, and he looks a player.

5

27 May 2026 21:39:36
Grino, Mamadou Sangare. Plays in the French League for Lens, mate.

4

27 May 2026 21:43:07
Unfortunately, it looks like Gakpo is set to stay - lumbered. Another Pep masterstroke.

4

27 May 2026 21:43:20
Isn't Diamonde a bit rough though? But I'm sure we could polish him up and one day he will shine bright.

3

27 May 2026 21:45:15
Sangare from Lens is not what we need right now. Especially if we are signing Wharton. He is another attacking midfielder.

We desperately need a defensive midfielder to help cover the defence. Lamine Camera looks the one for me. Play him alongside Wharton with Wirtz ahead of them.

4

27 May 2026 21:50:20
Could it end up being Diamonde and Barcola? We deffo need one more upfront.

2

27 May 2026 21:51:26
Can't have a team of rough diamonds. We are not Bournemouth.

3

27 May 2026 22:02:17
Nef, he plays as a central midfield in a 343 formation.

0

27 May 2026 22:04:31
As long as Slot is staying, we never see a proper holding/defensive midfielder. That is just a fact. Slot out, btw.

4

27 May 2026 22:08:01
Alright, lads, it was a typo. 😂

5

27 May 2026 22:20:52
Gakpo staying means less time for Rio Ngumha, who is exciting to watch, but a long long way from a 17yr old Sterling.
Rio also loses the ball a lot more and needs to chase back, though.

3

27 May 2026 22:48:53
Big mistake to sell Jones, same as Diaz, Nunez, Quansah.
Why sell established players and restart again with new players?
Too many changes are not good.
We will stay on a transition season after season if we keep on making too many changes.
Thanks.

2

27 May 2026 22:54:31
Rio is a kid. Plenty of cup games ahead for him to play and ready to step up in case of injury.

2

27 May 2026 23:45:14
What is the reason for Diomande possibly not happening?

0

27 May 2026 19:48:58
Are the reports of Alexis Macallister to retire after World Cup true?

2

27 May 2026 20:15:53
What?!

4

27 May 2026 20:21:26
I know he's had a terrible season, but I think retirement is a bit heavy.

6

27 May 2026 20:30:47
You've been papered.

8

27 May 2026 20:45:59
To be fair, based on this season's performance, I thought he retired last year.

15

27 May 2026 20:51:18
From international duty, I assume?

1

27 May 2026 20:53:45
You're on the wind up here, right? 🤣

1

27 May 2026 21:06:47
Just watching Wharton for Palace, jeez he's average and well below what we need, sorry.

2

27 May 2026 21:16:38
Nonsense.

2

27 May 2026 21:36:54
Wharton has been class.

Not sure what game you have been watching? He is not a 6, which we also need, but he links the play. We don't have a player who can do that at the moment. He is not a destroyer but is defo a player who will improve us.

5

27 May 2026 22:48:27
I just feel Wharton is too slow, just my opinion.

1

27 May 2026 22:57:19
I remember many saying the same about Milner and Henderson. There's more to footie than top corners, back flicks and nutmegs.

1

27 May 2026 18:39:49
Evening Gents

Seen a few posts about Liverpool being interested in Signing Gordon from Newcastle.

Safe to say.

It's not happening.

Interest in him has long gone.

Cheers.

30

27 May 2026 18:54:00
Talk of Barca signing him now.

6

27 May 2026 18:54:05
That's some good news at least!

4

27 May 2026 19:10:00
Cheers Robbo, for some good news today.

1

27 May 2026 19:20:43
Thank the gods!

1

27 May 2026 19:23:52
Ben Jacobs reporting that Barca have agreed a deal with Newcastle and medical to be booked in...phew!

4

27 May 2026 19:27:47
Where did Barca get 70m from? Thought they were skint.

5

27 May 2026 19:37:31
Thanks, Robbo, always appreciate your updates, mate. Just out of interest, are your sources players/agents? You seem to have very reliable info.

1

27 May 2026 19:48:18
Fee agreed with Barca 80 mill euro.

0

27 May 2026 20:24:50
Wow. From Neymar and Messi to Dot Cotton.

9

27 May 2026 20:32:56
It has to be said that Rashford did well for them.

I am pleased that we are not in for him, though. I think it's best if we leave Newcastle alone for a while, unless, of course, we put a bid in for Bruno G!

1

27 May 2026 20:42:04
We could really use Bruno now that Ederson is not an option.

2

27 May 2026 20:56:44
I agree the price tag would be too high to be interested, but I don't see why everyone seems to think he's rubbish. He's the hardworking pacey winger we are missing. We miss the likes of Mane and Diaz being able to press hard from the front, and carry the ball forward with pace.

5

27 May 2026 21:07:00
Pace is a great asset for any winger, sadly, Gordon has no end product, check his numbers.

Newcastle are getting this deal done quickly because they cannot believe their luck.

The only way out of the mess we are currently in is to avoid mediocrity like the plague.

0

27 May 2026 21:11:43
Bruno G is going to Chelsea.

0

27 May 2026 21:40:16
Ederson seems an absolute bargain at an initial fee of £35m, plus £3m in add-ons.

1

27 May 2026 22:58:05
I cannot understand why we are not going for Ederson at that price?

2

27 May 2026 18:10:17
Any interest in Bowen Ed's? Possibly not too dear and cover that forward position

1

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - not that I know of.}

4

27 May 2026 20:17:08
Jim Bowen? Super, smashing, great defensive midfielder.

6

27 May 2026 20:51:17
Could win a double or treble with him in charge. I'd draw the line at him trying to sign Steve Bull.

3

27 May 2026 20:58:45
How about any interest in Summerville?

Would also be worth a look at the right price.
Would be a big upgrade on Gakpo for half the wages.

1

27 May 2026 21:13:18
Jimmy Somerville would show Mac up for physicality and strength.

3

27 May 2026 18:08:44
Hi Carra, have you any updates please?

8

27 May 2026 16:46:10
I wish this wasn’t the case folks but only sharing what Matt Smith from TNT and LFC TV DMED me unprompted this lunchtime!

Only makes a modicum of sense if Slot, Edwards and Hughes are the fall guys to dismantle Klop’s legend and all leave together next summer if FSG wand the dream Enrique or more plausibly Naggelsman!?

I think Edwards’s ego burnt bridges for Alonso, ie head coach at Liverpool compared to manager at Chelsea! Alas we are where we are! At least we got Champions League!

2

27 May 2026 17:21:52
I'll gladly suffer Doctor Robotnik for another year if Enrique's essentially en route. Not for Nagelsmann.

11

27 May 2026 17:32:42
Better hope we end up with Enrique to make it worth the wasted year and a half it will cost us.

If Slot is staying then why wasn't he backed in January to save the season?

Now he's staying for a season, even though he won't be Liverpool manager next year, and no guarantee Enrique will come to us, and we could've got Alonso in.

Wasting a year and a half of lives over Edward's ego is incredible.

Shambles of a club from the very top.

17

27 May 2026 17:42:32
Edwards' power play has left him intoxicated. Maybe now he realises how essential a great manager is, instead of a yes man who turns into a no man.

Hughes and Slot are a pair of blaggers.

9

27 May 2026 17:45:39
I wasn't told about Enrique, Nagglesman or even Spanish Pep (fantasy football), but sticking with Slot for another year at most, only makes sense if FSG have someone big like Jurgen or Carlo were attainable when Rodgers left!

I am probably giving FSG too much credit, but it's a theory! Lol.

0

27 May 2026 17:42:31
Nagelsmann? No thanks. Weapons grade bellend him.

12

27 May 2026 17:51:30
Firstly, I think Enrique is happy where he is, and secondly, why would you want a manager who can have his head turned when he is successful and happy? Does not bode well, really, does it?

3

27 May 2026 17:51:33
I thought Edwards and Hughes were off this summer?

If that's the case, why are we waiting for Enrique?

We prob won't get CL football next season if Slot is still in charge.

5

27 May 2026 17:54:24
Pass on Nagelsmann.

4

27 May 2026 18:05:44
Enrique will not be joining LFC. "if" the club sticks with Slot, and it's still an if. It's not because Enrique is coming in a year. Don't do it yourselves.

6

27 May 2026 18:26:26
And what if Slot ends up winning the league or the CL... do we then still get rid for Enrique?

We didn't want an interim because "what if he does well, we can't be letting go of a manager who did well...", and here we are apparently waiting for the proverbial hen to come to roost in a year... whatever.

3

27 May 2026 18:29:45
Mid table in October fighting over Graham Potter with Nottingham Forest.

4

27 May 2026 18:33:11
Can't believe it - I'm agreeing with Florian!

We can all dream for Enrique - but don't fool yourselves into thinking this is part of some bigger plan from Hughes & Edwards.

What will they care next year when their contracts are up?

It does, unfortunately, seem Slot will be in the dugout next season - how long for? I guess that depends on the results.

5

27 May 2026 19:45:38
Don't be surprised if Glasner is in the frame.
