Yes, agree. Seems a different player for Germany, and they clearly know how to get the best out of him. He hardly ever shoots when he plays for us, but has got it in him. Just hope we see the best of him, maybe when we have a different manager who will play a system that is more suited to his game.

Delighted for Wirtz tonight. But it's one game, he's been the same player for Germany all season as he has been for Liverpool. Which is grand, by the way, he's been getting better as he gets stronger. But he hasn't been pulling up trees for Germany all season.

Oh right, I never compliment the players, only criticise them to make my mate Arne look better. No, Albey, I just like balance. A sharing of blame or acclaim. When we won the league last year I believe Arne and the players did incredibly. This year I also believe they are all in it together.

Why it probably seems like I over criticise the players is because ye get tired of seeing Slot being blamed for the bad weather and the price of fuel. Praise or derision has to be shared among all involved in my opinion, but that's just me.

I'm not a Slot apologist, and he has to go, and no doubt will in the summer. However, like you say, Florian, the players have to accept responsibility for how muck we've been all season. It's not all on Slot, though he will pay the price.

I love the way posters feel the need to say they disagree with nearly everything I say as they agree with me or they think im "alright", even though everyone else doesn't. ? And everyone sees it as it's been said more and more on here everyday, just for most of the season people preferred to bury their heads in the sand and blame it all on one person.

There's a bit of a sticking point in that the club have offered him a trailing 4-way gang which is individually switched but Slot is holding out for one with USB C ports too.

Proof of proof be needed that Slot has lined up an extension. I don't know about the yearly 450m summer spend, but Arne is here to stay. Good news for short haul flights between MCR and The Netherlands I'm sure.

I do and I don't. We don't have sufficient backup for a 2 striker system right now. Isak and Hugo are not 90 minute men and both pick up injuries too easily. If we got stuck with Chiesa and Gakpo up front for any extended period, you can write off a title challenge.

Also, we've had monstrous success with wingers. We've lost some serious tenacity out wide. Mane, Diaz, now Salah's gone, Rio's too young to pick up the slack by himself, and as good as Hugo and Isak are, they just don't bring that same energy.

I think we need 2 wingers to bring some of that explosivity back. We've desperately missed it this season.

Zero interest in 3 at the back, that's for sure, we can't even cope with 4 at the moment. You could chuck 6 back there and we'd still struggle, never mind 3.

Agree with Chewy, I am not a fan of 3 cbs generally, it takes away an attacker or midfielder. Generally the best don't need 3 cbs, and if a team plays 1 up front, u have 3 marking 1 player...
One of the biggest issues in Amorin's team at United was the lack of attackers. And more defenders doesn't mean better defending either.

I think what makes it wrong is that Lens are battling with them for the French title, and it hands PSG a big unfair advantage.

Pretty sure if we were battling with Arsenal or City for the title at this point next year, and we weren't in Europe, everyone would go mad.

Its also wrong because one team is going to have to play a tough champions league quarter final then an ultra competitive Premier League fixture in between before the return quarter final 6 days later.The other team gets a week to rest up in between the games.in a sporting sense its unfair.

End of. They might not be breaking rules, but they're benefitting from an incredible level of favouritism that puts them at a huge advantage both domestically and in Europe. It's a complete joke. If Lens asked for a reschedule I bet they wouldn't get it.
