Well hughes pr has started,

Against his pr/screw ups he did

1) screwing up mo - we all have seen mo say the higher ups didn't want him here, well its this guys fault how mo was treated

2) semenyo - can't believe how he rubbishted on this, semenyo wanted us, we wanted him, he ends up at city

3) we needed an rb, ed also was saying pelestra was lined up, well guess what he screwed up that too

4) no dm - hughes seems against dm, just didn't sign any when its been a glaring area of weakness

5) very poor negotiator - of the 100+ million deals done, well hasn't gordon been involved in barcola one? And my momory is muddy but the 125m for isak is too much, even if he scores like 125 goals for the club, it will cost us 1m per goal!! His job was to negotiate that, but well he couldn't

6) damn bad contracts - gakpo on 250? Gravenberch on same? ? he's doing

Blokes not giving us a 2nd thought anymore. We’ve got Ireola in now. Let’s look forward not back.

09 Sep 2026 15:56:51
All of this is complete guesswork, no one on these pages knows what sort of negotiator he was and no one has any knowledge of the internal workings at the club.

09 Sep 2026 16:33:11
Good riddance. He was given an absolute dream job at the best club in the world and started flirting with Saudi Pro League clubs 12 months into the role.

Give the job to someone who is ready to work for the club and represent its people.

Perhaps Alexis needs to think about flirting with Real Madrid last summer when asking for a new contract.

He was wearing all his finest jewellery for the interview to be fair. Might even be a hint of eyeliner too.

Further reminder and live depiction of why selling Jones was the right move.
Cost in the match dwelling on the ball and getting robbed by an equally poor TAA of all people, resulting in a goal.

Same like he was at Liverpool, would play a blinder followed by 10 absolutely poor games of wandering aimlessly and killing moves with too many touches.

Jones had a decent game last night apart from that incident.

09 Sep 2026 12:33:54
I thought he did well, he could have scored a couple and was involved, but was also pretty weak defensively.

09 Sep 2026 13:52:21

I know posters on here were divided on match reports of our ex players yesterday. If people are really interested, then fair enough, but do we really need to slate someone’s performance who has now left the club?

People didn’t think CJ was good enough. We’ve sold him.

Move on just like Curtis has.

I know it's not Liverpool-related, but watching Trent play tonight for Madrid was astonishing. The fall-off needs to be studied. For one, someone needs to tell him to lay off the paella because he is clearly carrying too much timber.

Secondly, the lack of effort was nonexistent. He looks like he has mentally checked out of football, and it is sad to see because he really was generational.

{Ed025's Note - or dillusional..

The lack of effort is nonexistent! Seriously, success in football means having the right player in the right team. Plenty of players show potential when they are young and it doesn't work out usually because of poor transfer moves. For every M'Bappe, there are many like Sterling and Sancho.

09 Sep 2026 13:35:14
He started putting on that weight in his final season with us, it's not just fat, though. He's been on the juice I'd say, and not the kind you get from fruit, he's stacked on some serious muscle. Madrid fans online seem to think he looks slow and lacks energy/intensity, somebody else on here posted that he looked out of breath with little effort.

All signs of somebody too concerned with how they look in the mirror over how they're performing.

09 Sep 2026 18:18:32
Many would still take him back at Liverpool though, he’s clearly not suited for a team like Madrid. I reckon he would love to come back, but he feels ashamed of how things went.

10 Sep 2026 07:34:36

Funny, I always felt Trent putting 'bulk' on, which happened noticeably in his last season with us, has affected him in a bad way. He was never the quickest but seems very cumbersome since then. V slow to turn. It hasn't done him any favours at all, was better when he was skinny.

Hi all.
First time poster, been on the site for a long time!
What I would like to say is….

1. Why tonight do I make the leap? ?
2. I honestly don’t get all the negativity!
3. Did we get the number 6 everyone craved? No
4. Gravenberch actually did that role when we won the league… Apart from Slot playing him as an 8 last year why can’t he play that role again? What’s actually changed?
5. Can we win the league?…. Most definitely. For the whiners on here, tell me why not? All I hear is we haven’t got the fullbacks or a 6! We literally have a new dynamic manager that might just might pull the team along.

6. I’m 55 and I’ve seen the best and the worst of the team so forget positions, tactics, how much money we’ve spent or not. As Liverpool fans across the world the one thing that we have is support so here’s a thing: let’s support Liverpool as we all should do as fans
!
Back to question 1…. Coz I love Liverpool FC! YNWA

"Hear, Hear" Beany 7?

6 European Cups upgraded to 7 European Cups Madrid 2027.

Guardiola gave the game away by throwing the towel in, when LFC appointed Andoni Iraola. He's that good, he's got two of his teams in Europe this season?

Yes Beany7 incoming 007. ??

Maccas' comments this afternoon about his contract are great insight.

"There was a chance, like everybody knows.
I received the news that the club was not in a position to renew my contract, which of course makes me very sad.
I think everyone can see I give my 100% for this club, every single day in training, I have good games, bad games. I always give my best.
I see Dominik and Rayan renewing their contracts, which makes me happy.

Same time it makes me sad I didn't get mine.
There is still time, I will give my 100% until my last day. We will see what happens. "

I'm sure he's "sad" to not get his massively inflated wages.
The players are clearly looking at others' exuberant wages and all wanting in on it. Their performances don't warrant what most of them are on.
I'd happily seek two midfielders as I said this summer to replace Macca and Grav next summer.

I don’t remember you ever saying you wanted us to sign a new midfielder.

08 Sep 2026 15:27:43
I know many people will disagree with me, as I have seen it posted all over social media, but I do believe that Macca is genuinely trying. I just don't think he can physically do what he needs to do anymore. The guy puts in effort, though, and has that nasty side I think a few of our players lack (Not the diving, hate that, but he will get stuck in and trip people if he fears the counter could hurt us).

Good player, but there is room to improve. He is being asked to do the majority of the defensive work now, despite being a more offensive player. So appreciate his willingness to adapt for the team, as he did under Klopp at times, also. However, Camara or a different defensive midfield profile would be better suited to the requirements Iraola has set.

08 Sep 2026 15:39:04
Nothing warrants what they're on. Doesn't matter if they won every trophy possible. Footballers in general get paid far too much but there's no point whinging about what you can't change.

I think it's unfair to make out like Macca is only in it for the money.

He came in for a low fee and has been on relatively low wages since. Despite his tendency to go missing at times and overexaggerate fouls, he's been a good servant to the club. He comes across as quite a grounded, level-headed and hard-working bloke to me.

08 Sep 2026 17:08:37
well macca has gone up in my estimations, he's come out and said it's a contract issue, not like the other two hermits who only wanted to play for their boyhood clubs, that's the best way to put ye cards on the table "truthfully" and not behind ye back like Laurel and Hardy, it takes a man to do that not a pair of cowards. Putting the Truth on the table is always the best option, rather than treating loyal Liverpool fans as complete idiots, Truth never hurts, only lies hurts!

I have to congratulate Mr I-Boo CON-ate, he kept that quiet, very, very quiet, even my employers "His Majesty's Secret Service" never even had an inkling? but in the end we always get our man (coward), he played 90 minutes in the loss against Royal Betis, but true to form never won a duel or a tackle, mind you at least he got on the pitch.

You only have to look at Mo Salah, when you leave LFC history tells you, you only go downhill.. Fast.

08 Sep 2026 22:14:28
Mo Salah is 34, he’s not going to leave Liverpool and go up at that age is he?

09 Sep 2026 02:10:29
Salah has 4 goals and one assist in three games for his new club. I don't think you can say that he went downhill tbh.

Chewy,

The employees at a football club are the talent, and the players are at the top of that particular pyramid, that are who the fans/viewers pay to see, so they should be rewarded whatever the market rate is.

If there was a salary cap like in US sports, owners would reap the rewards, I really don't want to see people like the Glazers get any richer on the back of slashing player wages.

If they are being paid what the market will bear, then the players are not over paid, though I would agree there are too many average players being paid star player wages.

Turkish Airlines to be the front sponsor of the Liverpool kits from June 2027.

Hearing the all red full membership are looking to include a Turkish hairline option for anyone looking for an upgrade.

New shirt sponsorship from next season. Turkish Airlines, 60m per season.

Seems we have a new shirt sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines for £300m over 5 years.

Macca will be off on a free flight every year now to top up his hair.
