Said it all summer that we could not allow another Trent situation and have Konate in our starting 11 every week. He does not give a rats. Smiling when he got up after that tackle.

At this point I'd stick endo in defence. Konate is a mistake or three waiting to happen.

06 Dec 2025 19:49:01
If brains were rubbish, Konate wouldn’t have a sniff. I hope he bollocks up his career somewhere else.

06 Dec 2025 21:16:45
I was thinking exactly the same, WY.

07 Dec 2025 01:09:15
Why put Endo there when Gomez is fit? And Gomez got turned inside out leading up to the pen. But ibous fault.

06 Dec 2025 19:49:07
Anyone MON number …
Get him in to the new year.

No. And don’t ever mention it again.

06 Dec 2025 16:34:45
City and Everton showing how you beat the teams Slot struggled against.

Look at what we are doing with Leeds… what the feck is going to happen when real teams play us this coming week. Inter at the San Siro? Brighton at Anfield?
It’s going to get untenable with our current state.

06 Dec 2025 20:30:09
It's inexcusable that he hasn't been sacked. I'd call for Hughes to go aswell.

06 Dec 2025 16:30:30
Sunderland look a good side don’t they. Oh wait so do Forest. Oh wait.

06 Dec 2025 17:10:09
Everton drubbing Forrest and city drubbing Sunderland just shows how bad we are. Wouldn't be surprised if we beat Leeds but it would just be papering over the cracks. We are miles off it and just can't see slot turning it round.

06 Dec 2025 17:12:05
Coul you've clearly not seen Leeds play. My outside pick for top 4.

06 Dec 2025 14:37:13
My opinion, and not a name being banded around at the moment, what about Unai Emery! Very good manager.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Dec 2025 16:26:12
When you look at his record it is surprising that his name doesn’t come up in discussions more. It’s hard to argue with his pedigree and he is a revelation in europe! Has a net spend of a positive having been forced to sell to balance the books and yet he still gets a tune out of his team.

06 Dec 2025 23:22:17
Emery doesn't get mentioned because he's good at managing clubs of a certain level. He has underwhelmed when he has managed clubs at the top level.

06 Dec 2025 14:29:30
If we just got our sh1t together, we'd be in with a shout for this league.

06 Dec 2025 15:27:35
Emery’s a top manager Rebel, would of been decent at Arsenal as well if the prima Donna’s of the day hadn’t of had their way -

Would I be disappointed if he came to us - not one bit personally! He got a decent tune out of Rashford for a good few games last season which underlines he can manage awkward characters and big time Charlie’s!

Also anyone else on here thinking Arsenal won’t win the title?

06 Dec 2025 16:28:33
Arsenal have sh** the bed already and will only win the league if City get a points deduction for there 115 charges. Wouldn’t that be hilarious if Arsenal finally won the league but had a big asterix next to there win like when we won the league during covid or when we won a ‘poor league’.

Morning all
Did anyone watch the World Cup draw yesterday. It was the most cringe watching I’ve ever seen. No one had a clue what was happening. They actually had Trump on there. He basically did his own thing. They did what looked like a fake draw for USA, Mexico, and Canada. They had four sport legends to do the draw none of which were footballers. One of them pulled a ball out looked at it as if he had seen something on the ball and put it back in the bowel! Surely that’s not allowed.

Then to top it off Rio Ferdinand was presenting it and was absolutely shocking. The FIFA president was the star of the show. The bloke is clearly living in dream land. The funniest part was Lauryn Hill and bob marley grandson singing and rapping to a room full of suits who looked like they hated every minute Honestly it’s a must watch just to see how bad it is.

A ball in the bowel is never a good thing. on a serious note none of what you have said surprises me. Remember when infantino presented the last world cup like he won it himself? self serving cretins the lot of them, fifa peace prize? Give me a break.

06 Dec 2025 15:15:25
Fifa has a rule that politicians cannot interfere / get involved in Fifa matters. so does Infantini allow Grump to literally be the face of the next World Cup?

06 Dec 2025 16:48:24
The decline of FIFA began when Sir Stanley Rous was "defeated" by Joao Havelange. Went from a respectable institution to a corrupt one once money entered the equation. Go figure. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

06 Dec 2025 08:15:54
Gianni Infantino is so far up Trump's arse you can only see the soles of his feet! Inventing an award for him, it's embarrassing!

06 Dec 2025 10:56:00
Infantino is one of the most corrupt individuals in professional sport. Absolute scum.

06 Dec 2025 13:47:50
That’s why he’s kissing up to trump, the grifter in chief. He’s hoping to get a seat on the trump grift train.

06 Dec 2025 17:11:19
It looks a really awkward relationship. Infantino makes Blatter look above board. That takes some doing.

Decided to look into points per match with managers linked, our current manager and former manager.

Slots management history is as follows:-
Az Alkmaar
Games 58, ppm 1.93
Feyenoord
Games 148, ppm 2.15
Liverpool
Games 78, ppm 2.05 (last 22 is 1.53)
Preferred formation is 433/ 4231
Note both Dutch teams considered in their top four and Liverpool of course best in the league.
Klopp:-
Mainz
games 270, ppm 1.50
Dortmund
Games 319, ppm 1.91
Liverpool
Games 489, ppm 2.07
Preferred formation is 433/ 4231

Glasner:-
Sv Reid
Games 37, ppm 1.24
Lask
Games 161, ppm 1.97
Wolfsburg
Games 87, ppm 1.67
Frankfurt
Games 97, ppm 1.51
Palace
Games 84, ppm 1.74

Note Glasner doesn't stay long and his preferred formation is 3421. But never been at a top side so better players may result in better performance.

Iraola:-
Aek Larnaca
Games 29, ppm 1.62
CD Mirandes
Games 45, ppm 1.45
Rayo Vallecano
Games 136, ppm 1.46
Bournemouth
Games 102, ppm 1.41
Preferred formation is 4231/ 433
Note he's never been at a top club and like Glasner could do well with better players who aren't sold every year.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Dec 2025 21:04:19
Are we looking at Glasner since he’s the problem between us getting Guehi…. A Hughes master stroke!

Agree3 Disagree1

06 Dec 2025 08:39:51
Glasners record is good tbf. Better than Iraola and recent Arne. Although he’s not the fan pick sneaking suspicion it could be going that way in the summer.

06 Dec 2025 09:57:48
Glasner won't fit, have you guys ever seen Palace? they are a park the bus team hit you on the counter, just bring back Roy Hodgson if Glasner is so highly rated!

05 Dec 2025 19:39:01
If we go for glasner, we had bigger issues than slot. Hughes and Edwards would truly be shown to be out of their depth.
Glasner is a potential big child who'll most definitely bump heads with the two nuggets that will have appointed him.

His football isn't Liverpool. It's crap.
Glasner is a terrible choice for this football club. I hope the growing rumours are not true.

What are you talking about? He’s won Palace their 1st ever trophy and a community shield. He’s doing a class job and done us 3 times already this season. He’s probably the best choice about.

People on here wanting Enrique, he isn’t leaving PSG. Iraola started off well with Bournemouth but they’ve dropped off massively, losing games they should’ve won. Zidane ain’t coming, he’s going to France and Alonso? He’s had 1 good season and couldn’t even retain the title. The players at Madrid want him out now.

Who is the better choice? Slot needs to go. We’ve won what 3 games in 14 is it? We look shocking. Even last season when City went on their poor run, they didn’t even look this bad.

06 Dec 2025 10:37:39
Apparently Palace have amongst the best stats in the league for big chances created, they just don’t put them all away. Defensively they’re usually very good, and have been for a while.

I don’t watch much of them but listened to their game last week while sitting on a motorway. They dominated Man Utd and should have been up by four or five, then Utd got back into the game not long after half time and the momentum changed.

He’s got some of the right credentials, style of football may be too functional for us but they’re quick in transition and aggressive. He seems intense and a strong character in the way he stood up to Parish, so that’s likely to go against him with Edwards.

Problem any coach will have for the next few years is comparison with Jurgens personality, but also ironically despite Arne getting hammered a bit we won the league so it’s a difficult job for anyone to step into.

I would highly recommend the Sports Agents’ podcast on ‘Why can’t we just let Liverpool Grieve’? Real food for thought.
