Given Thiago was unable to join due to not having the correct badges yet any chance Milner could be brought in.

I would imagine having his voice and experience on the bench and at training each week would be brilliant and to teach the kids the right way to play for LFC.

Igor Thiagos representatives have given the green light to Liverpool in the last 24 hrs. Expect the deal to get wrapped up quickly. A fee of £70 million is being touted.

Also Joao Gomes will be signed next week, paperwork and fee structure are being discussed. 2 very very good signings.

Personal Terms already agreed, although deal is not advanced club side.

I have gotten so sick of the Barcola and Diomande sagas. I just wish we could start with pre-season friendlies now, and see how Iraola plans to use the squad. For what it's worth, signing Barcola doesn't make much sense to me, only because we will have 4 LWs and no RW. I say sign a stop-gap like Bowen for a year or two and re-evaluate.

We all know we need (1) a left back (2) possibly right back as cover for Bradley if he recovers well (3) a first team centre midfielder too drawer (4) Salah replacement

(2) John Stones on a free and know we won’t get him but it’s Championship Manager so frees up Joe Gomez in the right

(4) Barcola £90 million plus add ons maybe?

Julian Brandt or Goretzka available on frees so tempt it and build squad a bit

It’s not that easy and Rome wasn’t built in a day but it will be better than last season that’s obvious

Why do we need a left back when we have Kerkez and Tsimikas both fully fit? Why are you saying "we all know we need a left back"? I haven't seen anyone mention a LB on here. We desperately need a RB, in case you don't remember, Dom spent more time at RB than Bradley or Frimpong did last season. Bradley's still injured and will be for a few more months; Frimpong missed half the season due to injury.

Nobody seems to know whether he's a full back or a winger, and let's be real, he's not good enough in either position. So we have 2 extremely injury-prone RBs, one of which isn't fit at all, and the other who's only just getting over recurring hamstring issues which seem likely to flare up at the drop of a hat.

Because, if you remember, we loaned out Kostas last year because he is ok but not great, and if you think we will win the league with him as cover for Kerkez, then I disagree.

Also I did say it was just a discussion and Championship Manager type thing, just seeing who thought we needed what with a pretend budget...

not a real thing, just my opinion. Jesus, this is why Ned Flanders has had enough.
We all support the club, so why don't we all be as one, that's the Liverpool way.

I also think several posts have mentioned a left back on here and we are all managers on here but it isn't that easy.

We loaned out Tsimi because having 3 LBs was excessive, and rather than leaving, he really wanted to stay and fight for a place in the squad this season. He is a more than capable backup option (as others have pointed out, he already has a PL winners medal) and one that loves the club and is desperate to stay.

LB would be very low on the priority list.

Could be way off in figures for buy and sell but tried to keep targets realistic. Not sure what it does to the home grown stats.

1. LB. Jorrel Hato (offer 40 million plus Frimpong). This does increase the right back problem though.

2. RB. Givairo Read 30 million.

3. CM. Joao Gomes 35 million.
Sadiki 40 million.

4. RW. Diomande 100 million. Can't think of any others at the minute.

Went a bit over. (245 million) plus 100 odd in purchases already.

Zabarnyi loan to buy next season. It's been mentioned on here as a possibility. Makes sense if true. Good player.

Sell
Mcallister 70 million.
Jones 30 million.
Chiesa 5 million.
Ramsay 5 million (could be kept).
Tsikimas 5 million.
Gakpo 70 million.
Endo 10 million.

(195 million in sales.)

Keep Elliott, RW and 10 cover.

Use McConnell and Gomez as back up right back options until Bradley is fit, although both are a bit injury prone also.



Some u21 players to get some minutes if we go far in all comps.

Danns (needs to stay fit).
Wright (great potential and energy).
Morrison.
Sonni Lambie (maybe).

We definitely need to solve the right back and right wing problem before the season starts. I dont personally think Rio is the answer to switch over to RW. Happened a few times last year and he was not effective at all, although might have been the slower pace of play.

I think we need 2 defensive minded centre midfielders with energy brought in to freshen up the midfield. With the way AI plays it's def gonna be a squad game if we do well in all comps.

Big hopes for Jacquet and Leoni.

Nyoni could kick on if he shows the manager enough in pre season. Needs a loan if not going to be played.
