Bar one or two, looks like all the moaners have disappeared as usual. Can't even come out and congratulate the team when we win.

Well done reds, going through a real tough patch/ season, so this was a good win with some very positive performances.

Be great to beat Napoli 8-0 and finish top of the group . Can you imagine the peace and quiet.

Tumbleweed when we win mate. That’s why I can’t take them seriously.

Moaning about moaners is moaning.
Same as people moaning about others that moan that people are moaning.
What I don't get is people moaning about people not moaning.
I get the irony, here I am moaning about people moaning about people not her to moan.
We signed Mbappe yet?

Do you think the players use this site?

{Ed001's Note - some ex-pros certainly do.}

@kjh2477 plus I not everyone is glued to their phones or laptops 24/ 7. Personally I thought we were very lucky in the first half. It was a good win but let’s not get carried away…. we beat Man City and then lost to forest, and there were moments against Ajax where we look like a deer in headlights, so it wouldn’t surprise me if Leeds get some points against us this weekend. Hopefully it gives the players a few more days to get used to the new diamond formation klopp used again Ajax, as allows nunez to play more central which is where he should be, not on the wings.

Scouse I'm pretty sure if Liverpool beat Napoli 4-0 we'll finish top.

Big plus lately is we've only conceded 2 goals in 5 games.

Drogie- thank god! It was getting insufferable.

What a cracking performance yesterday in that second half. Elliot looks so comfortable in these big European games for a lad his age.

What I'm doing (just started for few weeks) - never ever go to the Banter page when the team lost a game.

{Ed025's Note - you have to take the rough with the smooth haizan mate..

10.) 27 Oct 2022
27 Oct 2022 10:31:34
Ed001 do the ex pros post?

As for winning or coming second in the group. If it stays as is, our options would be real, PSG, Bayern, or Club Brugge.

Personally, I'm all for ripping the band aid off and getting one of those, to win it you have to beat the best. May as well start early.

Although if we did get Club Brugge, I probably wouldn't complain!

{Ed001's Note - I don't know I never asked as I didn't want to know what names they were using. Better not to know I think as you would end up ascribing more value to their posts than it would deserve.}

Agreed with most of the above, Ajax threw the kitchen sink at us majority of first half, trying to take advantage of us playing at their gaff. Yes it could have a nightmare start, but if you don’t take your opportunity when they come (like us v forest), then it can go bad for u.

It turned when we got the equaliser imo, it appeared to be a kick in the nuts to them, the boys did start the 2nd half well and the rest as they say is history. Mo seemed to be smiling, which it appeared he wasn’t in other games.

Lol the moaning reference above. The team’s been or in a hole at the moment as we all know, we qualified for knockout stage, game left, players starting to come back from injury too. If and that’s IF we have a player on the radar for Jan purchase latter stages of European Cup (old school), it’ll aid in that .

On to Leeds next, let’s go.

27 Oct 2022 12:02:19
I don't think we'll beat Napoli 4-0 but it isn't impossible. I do think we will beat Napoli though. It would be nice to finish top of the group, but probably won't. That's okay. I still think we can win the Champions League.

13.) 27 Oct 2022
27 Oct 2022 12:46:55
How do you get an equaliser in a 0-3 win?

14.) 27 Oct 2022
27 Oct 2022 13:22:11
A 3-0 win over napoli would leave us in top spot would it not? 4-1 out there, would our away goal not be the decider in a head to head then?

15.) 27 Oct 2022
27 Oct 2022 13:36:01
The difference between Ajax and Forest was that Ajax had to win the game to give themselves a chance of getting thru. That allowed spaces to open up. Forest woulda been happy with a draw

I suspect that Napoli game will be a dead rubber with both teams happy with their current standings and using the opportunity to rest players and give others game time. He knows we need to.

5 games left until WC break.
2 cup games, ones a dead rubber the other we’ll likely play mostly fringe players allowing our main focus to be the 3 remaining league games.

16.) 27 Oct 2022
27 Oct 2022 13:45:00
I’d take Brugge as well. Mignolet is their keeper….

17.) 27 Oct 2022
27 Oct 2022 15:33:40
People seem pretty bloody glued to their phones 24/ 7 when we drop points lol
Moaning about moaning? Sounds like something a moaner would say when they have nothing to moan about and someone else points it out.
??.

18.) 27 Oct 2022
27 Oct 2022 17:27:04
It was definitely better yesterday after the first 20 minutes. Nunez gets so many chances if he figures out how to compose himself he will get bag fills of goals and assists. Bobby and Salah were much better also. Thiago back for Leeds we should beat them.

19.) 27 Oct 2022
27 Oct 2022 18:34:29
Apparently Club Brugge's entire tactical approach relies on Migs bailing them out of it.

No, I don't know how that could possibly be successful at any level either, but that's what a Belgian football fan told me. Whenever he has an off day (which let's face it, was most of his days with us) they lose about 4-0.

20.) 27 Oct 2022
27 Oct 2022 18:51:26
Does the win against Ajax change the fact we were poor against Forest? No. It’s also not as if we were playing an Ajax team at their strongest.

The win, as nice as it was to win, doesn’t change the fact we’ve been absolutely awful in the league and we’re desperately short of quality in midfield. All of that still remains.

Just pointing out a fact Faithworks - The site shuts down when we win…. One thing I agree with, most are just typical arm chair fans waiting to pounce when we lose - on their phones.

I was just thinking I hadn't posted anything lately. Tbf we should be beating teams like Ajax so not that much get excited over.
On the flip side can only beat the teams Infront of you so good on the lads.
I do hope that the winning momentum continues but a potential banana skin coming up.
Let's hope klopp has the team up for some exquisite football and we're all taking about another win.

28.) 28 Oct 2022
28 Oct 2022 19:29:48
Napoli have a +7 goal difference over us so unless they literally capitulate against us, even if we win, we go through as runners up in our group.

29.) 28 Oct 2022
28 Oct 2022 21:16:31
It’s the head to head result first Kloppis Top. Not sure if it’s most scored against the other or if away goals come into it. I think GD is after that.

30.) 28 Oct 2022
28 Oct 2022 22:42:50
@KT, so if we beat Napoli 4 -0 that is effectively an 8 goal turn around.

They go from +7 to +3 and we go from 0 to +4

I think that means we are one goal better off than them?

Why is it so difficult to read the OP and just stick to the subject, without deflecting or the usual "I have a right to post so I'll post whatever I want" infantile melodrama? He's talking about the site becoming quiet as a cemetery after a win (and full of bile after a draw or a loss), and he's very right. What it means is for each one of us to conclude.

Fine, the season thus far, hasn't been up to the usual recent standards. No one will disagree with that. But once again, the OP is congratulating the team after a win, and lo and behold, we get the "yeah but the season has sucked and we didn't buy the midfielder I wanted to buy" refrain. Broken records playing, I tell you.

It really feels like some use this forum as a soundboard to vent over everything that sucks in life. I can't explain the constant repetition nor the frequent switching back and forth of usernames, otherwise.

32.) 29 Oct 2022
29 Oct 2022 08:27:44
ArAy is spot on. There's something rather wrong when losing or drawing a football match produces the bile seen on here and other forums.
Is it a reflection on dropping standards in society in general?
It's like reading the inner workings of a bunch of Karens at times.

@Flash, on a computer you can always cheat and win. Before the IT “boom” people, well most of them, lived in the real world. Now a sizeable percentage live in a world where every thing can be fixed and everybody is entitled. It’s just a shame that we are from a generation that has seen both worlds.

Isn’t losing to teams in the bottom 3 brilliant? I mean, it’s not as good as winning or even drawing, but it’s just brilliant!?! Who needs 3 point when we can have 0?

I see no problem with people expressing their disappointment and discussing how things might be made better when we are in a very obvious decline. I can’t speak for everyone on here but I am am passionate about LFC, not an ‘armchair supporter’ as blindly shot out above, yeah I will vent when we lose, just as I praise them when we win. This site is an open forum and people opinions on whether someone is moaning or not doesn’t affect their right to post what they want. If you lot have an issue with it, talk directly to the Ed’s. They filter stuff the out, or not in this particular case. Better yet just don’t read it the stuff you think you likely wouldn’t enjoy. Mad right? Weird thing is that now the site had ads, if you are correct in that the site is empty when we win, the site better hope we keep losing because without all those moaners and the occasional accidental ad click. The site might not be able to keep going!

40.) 30 Oct 2022

So if you’re negative you are an armchair fan?

Very strange when fans who don’t actually attend games are calling fans who do attend games arm chair fans. All for daring to have a different opinion.

42.) 30 Oct 2022
30 Oct 2022 13:09:14
Yesterday was a shambles. Being positive 100% of the time doesn’t make you a ‘proper’ fan. People can be negative, blaming computers for negativity and a lack of patience is a proper wild shout never seen that one before, nor can I say I agree. I think mentally and physically were more affected by the ending of last season than any one at the club would like to admit.
