Question for Ed002 please if you are about.

Can you tell me how wages for loan deals are agreed between the player's agent, parent club and loaning club please?

I'd always assumed that the loaning club paid an agreed percentage of the player's existing contract (0-100%) .

I've been reading about players recently who are demanding certain wages from the loaning club which seems to be higher than their existing contract at their parent club.

Is it common that players ask for even more than their current contract to move elsewhere or do they usually accept to receive the same wages as they signed with their parent club?

Thanks in anticipation.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of players asking for higher wages from loaning clubs ever. The wages are paid on an agreement between the two clubs and that is it.}

It has probably come from his agent so that he has a stronger hand in negotiations.

I really don't think we should go for Laxalt.
To me he is an average winger who can play at LB/ LWB. He isn't great at either IMO.
I know he'd only be cover in both positions but I'd rather have a quality youngster than versatility.

Brommers

{Ed002's Note - He is not a winger - he is a left sided midfield player who can play elsewhere.}

I think the logic is to keep him for another year until the youth players are closer to the first team.

We don't want to sign another LB as presumably it'll be on at least a 2 year contract and block the route for the youngsters.

He is a liability but you can see some sense from the club's side in keeping him on the bench for 1 more year.

Agreed anonymush.
He is underrated and rarely gives the ball away as well as being comfortable on the ball. Not spectacular but far from a bad player.
You need players like him on the field of play or ready to come off the bench.
I think he'll probably leave for 1st team football and good luck to him if he does.

Brommers

{Ed025's Note - giving the ball away is not the problem brommers, its him actually getting it and doing something with it!, he is the invisible man and a dead weight who will get none to very little fist team action...and rightly so..

Not sure if I agree Evered77.
Trent has improved his defensive side of his game massively. I'd be quite happy if teams try and attack him because they'll be left up that side of the pitch whilst Mane bangs another in on the opposite flank.
I do prefer Gomez alongside Virgil anyway but not for this reason. I think that Gomez's pace helps us play a higher line. Just need him to play some more games and regain his form.

In a few years I think it could well be a good deal.
They are paying for potential but he certainly has that.

Mate you need to relax. The eds haven't got a crystal ball to tell us exactly what is going on all the time. What they do is tell us if there is interest or if there is a deal likely to be done.
Be grateful for what we get. You don't get anything like it elsewhere and certainly not from the papers.

Feel sorry for Spurs. We didn't play well and they had too much of the ball for my liking.
But all that matters is the result and it looks like both teams used up all the decent football in the semis.
So happy that we got over the line. League next season please.

Top post Red Kurd. If I could have given you more than 1 thumbs up I would.
We see this time and time again where the coach, system, etc makes a very good player seem even better. When these players move to a new environment it isn't as easy as before when the club is set up around you.
LFC make stars and when one leaves another will be made.
