Regardless of individual performances and what we can do better we have just beat a side who last lost at home in January, we are going into the break unbeaten in 7 and haven't even really played well yet. call me delusional but I'm excited for the season, I believe we will only get better with time and the new system will start to show itself.

Long term there are positions that need addressing and reinforcements required but whilst we have what we have get behind the boys! could always be worse. we could be united :)

Yeah your right lsred 4 wins + 3 draws out of 7 games nothing to be sniffed at. We've 3 clean sheets in a row in league, long time since that happened I would say?
Jacquet class actband araujo big help at rb, his physicality and aerial ability is v important to us.

It was awful game quality wise today but nice to come out with win, good back 4 and keeper can get u wins like that. No real cohesion going forward, wirtz was dreadful.
Think as a team we will only get better as season goes on, nyoni will integrate himself into team I think.

Since Frimpong was dropped, LFC have kept 3 PL clean sheets.

I desperately want Wirtz to come good as I think we all know he has the quality, we are a bit of a 'when it clicks' side at the minute but if we can continue keeping clean sheets and getting wins its good enough for the time being.

I am more than aware that the football we are currently playing is not what wins you the title and for a club the size of Liverpool that's always the goal, but with a new manager and a squad that is getting used to how AI wants us to play I'm happy with the results (in general)

its quite funny on paper we have been better than we look on the eye but ultimately its a results business so long may it continue!

Ed666 did Kerkez play good today or is that Rayan that poor because if that's as good as he is hope we go nowhere near him for £100+m.
Think we are starting to look better defensively.
I've always thought Wirtz looked a clever footballer but he seems to be getting worse every game.
Think we might see the best of Barcola after the international break if he plays plenty of minutes in them games.


Thought Trey looked good when he came on think him and Mac Allister might be our best pair Mac Allister was good again today and it said it all what AI thinks of Gravenberch there bringing him on in the 10 position.
We just need to keep scrapping results till January to get some reinforcements in midfield.

{Ed666's Note - I thought it was an abysmal performance all round apart from Jacquet nobody covered themselves with glory. Oh Ali was decent thankfully. I think Rayan and Kerkez cancelled each other out. I don’t think any of the subs did particularly well when they came on. I don’t see the big fuss about Koumas to be honest but maybe he’ll prove me wrong in time. Bradley is way off it at the moment but I’m sure will get better with games as you say. To be fair to him where not playing to his strengths

Jacquet was class. Araujo was good too. I thought Szob was better defensively today and I thought second half Gakpo was really good. Isak had a few good moments, but was also lazy at times.
Happy with the result though and we do look much better defensively with the arrivals of Jacquet and Araujo, this is been a great weekend for Liverpool in terms of results.

Fans see lots of energy and enthusiasm with Koumas, he tries hard. Beyond that there's not a massive amount, but he gives you legs in the last five or ten minutes when others are flagging.

The whole defence were pretty good today, with Jacquet the pick again. The compromises are very stark though when we have no creativity in midfield or attack. Neither Araujo or Kerkez offer anything going forward, that's ok though in theory because there are six players ahead of them who should be able to fashion chances, either for themselves or each other.

You've got to say that's where it's falling down, our attacking four almost whichever permutations are used, are very poor as a unit.

Isak can finish so in that sense he's not poor, but the combination play with the others except Gakpo isn't working. Gakpo seems the pick of the bunch each week.

The others just don't bring anything remotely justifying a place or their price tags. Wirtz was so poor today it looked like he'd thrown in the towel and wants out.

I wouldn't say it looked like Wirtz wants out. To me it looked like he was trying too hard to make things happen and making poor decisions with his choice of pass. I see a player who is struggling with the attention and spotlight on him .he needs to blank that out and grab the bull by the horns, otherwise it will not work out for him.


Hopefully Klopp will give him plenty of hugs and he will come back from the break with some more confidence and self believe.

He does look like a confidence type player Todd agree with that. He's been very poor now for the majority of the time he's been with us, two pre seasons, 43 league matches, and how ever many cup games.

His better games have been few and far between, generally in the champions league. He just doesn't look suited to us or the Premier League. Havertz was like this for a long while, and eventually improved. Maybe he'll be the same but a spell on the bench may be best for him, bring him on for last twenty mins when teams are tiring.

Wirtz didn't play well but he didn't go missing and kept getting in good areas. For the goal he gambled and got in the box and caused confusion in the defence for Isak to slot home. It's easy to pick him out and say he didn't have a good game but as Ed said did anyone apart from Jacquet.

Unbeaten start for the first international break, be positive, it is positive.

Iraola making a a strong point today Gravenberch started the season as one of the midfielders in the first two games cost us by not doing his job he was then dropped now after the midweek game when he came in and was awful again not it's Trey coming instead.


Wirtz replaced as well today been pretty bad so maybe this midfield that is on now might be our midfield moving forward unless Gravenberch and Wirtz don't pull the fingers out.

That's the reason you have a squad. If you're playing poorly you get dropped and have to knuckle down to get your place back. It keeps everyone on their toes and playing at a high level.

Part of our problem has been that players have been getting picked no matter how they play. That just leads to complacency.

Really poor performance. Wirtz was abysmal, forget the price tag he was just useless.
Barcola looks a nothing player so far.

Cody Gakpo was the only forward player who deserves anything above a 6 out of 10. Isak was just ok.

Defensively we're pretty solid, and Macca and Trey did ok. Szob looked dead on his feet second half.

The quality of supply into the box is virtually non existent from either flank. Our transfer business has as we know been very poor in the attacking positions. Iraola has a big job to improve us, not sure he can with the personnel tbf.

Wirtz is not going to make it. I think quite a few of the players are not suited to each other. Bought individuals instead of a complimentary team.

Hopefully this gets sorted in the summer.

I agree about wirtz as he's doing nothing to. win the fans over. but Barcola is getting use new a new club amd league, got. to give him time but poor performance? Not sure. Bournemouth is not an easy place to go nowadays and if u come away with 3pts and clean sheet that's good. We were always going to be a Work In Progess for AIs first months.

i'm happy with what i'm seeing so far.

Wirtz and Barcola are world class players and will both be big players for us.

The problem is that people want everything right now and stamp their feet if they don't get it. Wirtz was poor today, Barcola and Isak were average at best. That doesn't mean they are bad players, it just means they need to be managed and coached to bring out the best in them.

Their best is very, very good.

Its fairly rubbish so far lads we've had 2 extra days more recovery than Bournemouth and we can't put more than 2 passes together. Absolutely no service to Isak, wirtz might as well took the day off he's been so unanimous just not suited to this league.

Everything is so slow and lethargic its not to dissimilar to slot ball at the moment. We need to up the pace big time 2nd half take wirtz off maybe Nyoni on and give it 15mins this is a terrible watch yet again we are so so poor.

Another fantastic first half performance.

Let’s be honest - we are one of the easiest teams to stop in the premier league even though we have bought some of the most wanted attackers in the world. I have absolutely zero doubt that nearly all players in our starting 11 would thrive at either Man City or Arsenal.

Trying not to be miserable but, just want to enjoy watching the team and not settle for another bad draw.

Praying that the team make me eat my words in the second half!
