Frimpong playing. Yikes. We've lost before the game has even started. Why not play Chambers instead. Frimpong will be terrible but Chambers will never be as bad and needs first team game time. We know what Frimpong brings to the team. confusion, mistakes and ball watching. Chambers should have played before disaster Frimpong.

Disappointed with McConnell, trying to gesticulate and look massively surprised by decisions against him so slow getting back in position. He should shake it off quickly, switch on & get on with it. Bit too much like a prima Donna for my liking.

What's people's thoughts about the match tonight? Another team who haven't won a PL game yet playing at A field - just like Fulham. I think AI will make a number of changes, but will the performance be any better than the abysmal showing on Saturday. Let's face it, it couldn't really be any worse could it.

I'm not really concerned about the result, but the performance needs to be so much better.

So long as we don't throw the game like we did at this stage last season.

Bodger Rodgers last season at LFC 14-15, LFC finished Sixth in the PL, Jurgen Klopps part first season 15-16, LFC finished 8th in the PL.

Jurgen Klopp and Alex Ferguson both took circa 3 and a half years to win their first trophy. Jurgens first trophy was old big ears so it was the bigger trophy feat. Ferguson won the FA Cup 42 months after his appointment. It took Jurgen 4 years and 8 months, closer to five years to win his only PL title.

Sir Bob Paisley after taking over from Bill Shankly never won a trophy in his first season, it took him nearly two seasons, one year and ten months to win the league his first trophy. Arteta 7 years to win the PL. It took Guardiola 2 full seasons to win the PL.

To expect Andoni Iraola to win the PL in his first season, all the above
who are the absolute top echelon of managers, their records suggest it cannot be done from scratch, and only by a fluke like Leicester and Slot did. Hopefully AI has a fluke also.

Looks like there is going to be wholesale changes to the team tonight. I really don't understand why Managers do that as its really difficult to judge the fringe players if the whole team is changed. Surely tonight would be more beneficial if they bring in some of the fringe players like Trey Nyoni and Lewis Koumas but integrate them with a number of the established starters to see if they really are good enough to become established starters and fit the system the manager wants to play.

I understand why someone like Virgil should get a rest but then let's also see how Jacquet and Araujo manage as a centre back partnership, instead of changing the whole back 4. Also its clear we are miles off the Prem and when we meet a top team in the Champions League will struggle, so we need a good domestic cup run.

Fitness is a basic requirement that every Premier League team possesses. It was last seasons excuse, not for 26/27.

Let's judge the team and coaches on style and results. The style is slightly better this season, although yesterday was abject, the results are worrying to say the least.

Andoni Iraola has more PL points (6) than Jurgen Klopp had after 4 PL games each.

Two PL clean sheets in a row, after only keeping one clean sheet in their previous 13 games.

He is also the only manager since Joe Fagan 43 years ago, not to lose any of his first four league games in charge.

whose front three would you have:Saka, Havertz, Tzolis or Gakpo, Isak, Barcola. Okay you can say they are better than us in other positions granted? though Arteta has been at Arsenal for 6 years and nine months closer to 7 years, and has spent ten million short of a Billion Pounds.

Andoni has managed LFC for 5 "unbeaten" competitive games, two PL clean sheets on the bounce, come from a goal behind in three of those games, just beat AM who were last years losing UCL semi finalists, and spent circa £850, 000 less than Arteta. Arteta's longest unbeaten games in the PL is 18 last year, Andoni is now unbeaten after 20 PL games, and that's with two different clubs which makes that even better. I will most gladly put all my faith and support behind Andoni. If you can't support us when we lose or draw, then don't support us when we win- Bill Shankly

Who's not supporting?

I simply said we're a mile off Arsenal, which I don't think is a wild assumption to make. We've barely played a good half of football, and drawn against some weak teams. We have no midfield balance, not much ability to rotate with the squad.

I'll just Iraola next season. But saying we're close to title winning Arsenal is mad. Maybe we will improve and get to the level but we're not there now.

I managed to catch the last 25 mins of today's game today.

Would say Fulham looked well drilled and set up.
We didn't look like scoring.

Wondering peoples thoughts, are we not ready for 2 games a week? We looked tired? Did Wednesday take to much out of us?

I was v surprised how slow and sluggish we where today. Thought it be v tricky game as fulhams performances have been quite good this season they just haven't got the points to go with. In saying that i fully expected an entertaining game, 3-2 either way r something like that. We totally off it allover the pitch and really it shouldn't be that big of a deal 2 home games in 3 days, that's what top teams do and we've done for years.

If we hadve had a long away journey in Europe Wednesday that would be different story.
Early days in season and I think we all expected a good few bad days mixed in with some good this season but I must admit to being v disappointed in way we played today, it was like last season, put u to sleep.
Suppose 1 big positive is to play so bad and we still kept a clean sheet.
