Can people please chill the f*** down? We all know when we were getting Iraola, it will take time for him to get his ideas across. It's a very complicated off the ball system, and yes, we were open, but this will improve once the players understand the triggers better. Also, both goals came from a giveaway near the other box. We will get better at this.

I have no doubt, having watched Ai's Bournemouth team intently. The FBs, though, I really struggle to see what can be done. Maybe Kerkez will eventually get to the player he was at Bournemouth, but to be honest he hasn't looked anywhere near that with us. The less said about Frimpong, the better. But most importantly, Ai will need time. We need to keep the belief.

This is nothing to do with Iraola, or needing time Kop. It's personnel, and imbalance in the team.

Chill? That was a competitive match against a severely weakened team who ran through us at will. Some of us have been saying that midfield is weak for ages, and it’s come true.

Well that was a poor performance. Very reminiscent of last season. I feel for Iraola as he’s not been backed at all. It certainly doesn’t help with all the behind the scenes stuff that’s going on. The style will definitely improve but as Iraola has said the players aren’t fit enough, so hopefully another 3/4 games and we won’t be far off.



Hopefully we add another 2/3 before deadline day. Crying out for some more quality in the squad.

Agree Moreton, but should we allow Hughes to spend any more? Only Jacquet looks good so far out of our last half dozen signings.

That midfield should be a circus act because there a bunch of clowns, they get ran through like Mia Khalifa. Sign Lamine Camara and maybe we might win a game or two. Rio on the right is like playing with 10 men. In keeping with the circus theme Frimpong is another clown good for banter and nothing else. How long can we defend Wirtz and Isak? Kerkez might as well be in a coma because he's playing like that.

Van Dijk is playing on reputation. The only players that I can merit is Jacquet, Munoz and possibly Gakpo. Have we learnt nothing from last season? Can anyone trust Richard Hughes to produce a RW, RB & CM in the next week? I wouldn't entrust him to buy a Big Mac in McDonald's. We have some dark days ahead.

Kerkez, Frimpong, Gakpo (so one-dimensional) and dare I say Wirtz are not Liverpool quality. Need more quality in and those out. But Minteh is strange, not fit for months and way too much. So who do we want in?

Tricky away fixture and glad to get a point, looked a bit rusty at times but saw some nice moments and thought Munoz did well when he came on. Really pleased that Iraola is our manager and think we will really improve as we go through the season. Still need to add to the squad to help progress our energy and way we will play.

Hopefully that will make us get a move on with our transfers. It's incredible we have known Mo is going and yet we haven't replaced him for the start of the season. Desperately need a Midfielder who will help the defence and the 2 full backs we signed last season are simply not good enough.

Fair play to Newcastle though as they have lost some big players and they probably deserved the win today. Let's hope it's a busy 9 days and DS just got it right on Sky and said what we all know, we should have signed the boy from Lens who joined Brentford.

After that display I personally think we need a full back for each side. Frimpong and Kerkez are just not good enough. How many times did crosses not beat the first man. Kerkez pace is terrible.

How a DM and cover is not our absolute priority remains an absolute mystery to me. Going forward was improved from Slot ball and will get better as the players learn and get fitter, but that midfield man, seriously.

I know the defence under VVD drop off way to far and too fast, especially for the first goal, but their second was embarrassing. Someone fricking tackle the bloke!

The method of going forward was better, the end product similar. Reason being, the front four of Isak, Gakpo, Wirtz and Rio are the same as we had under Slot. The decision making and quality isn't good enough. Elanga and Wissa were better than all of them.
