Hello Eds,
I've heard rumors about Luka Sucic this summer? Could you shed some light on him as I know very little about him to make a judgement.
Cheers.

stromcr0w

{Ed002's Note - Luka Sucic (CM) There has been growing interest in the youngster with RBS fending off interest from Arsenal and Juventus by making it clear he is not for sale. This has not stopped the interest of Lazio who see the youngster as a Sergej Milinkovic-Savic replacement. Newcastle have spoken with RBS about the player and will make a bid. Milan have a declared interest but a move seems unlikely. RBS have said a number of other sides have sent scouts to watch him and this will include Liverpool, considering him as an alternative to Bellingham. The player has said he would like to play in Germany.}

Hello Eds,
Long time lurker but first time posting. I have heard some rumors about Sander Berge. I would appreciate if you shed light on him as I know very little about him to either be happy or disappointed.
Cheers.

stromcr0w

{Ed002's Note - I rather doubt he will be available in January - another potential Fabinho replacement.}

1.) 12 Dec 2022 10:40:36
Please tell me we can do better than sander Berge. ??‍♂️.

2.) 12 Dec 2022 13:02:50
Someone pray for VVVV.

3.) 12 Dec 2022 13:25:59
What a relief. One less lurker in the world.

Welcome in from the cold.

4.) 12 Dec 2022 15:01:46
Thanks ed. But I want to know if he's good enough to realistically replace fabinho or someone who would need to be better than he is to do so?

Also, thanks for the welcome Sulls.

5.) 12 Dec 2022 16:50:28
stromcr0w - he's not fit to lace Fabinho's boots.

One is one of the world's best no6s.
The other plays more of a box to box role for Sheffield United in the Championship.

Noteworthy that no club has chosen to extract him from there since being relegated 18 months ago.

6.) 12 Dec 2022 19:06:20
All I can do is roll my eyes and say “standard”. He’s injury prone and not particularly good, so he’s definitely got to be the sort of signing FSG would want.

Hello Eds,

Not a rumor but I have a question. Among all the players that have their contracts expiring (that we could get on a free) who do you think it would be worthwhile for liverpool to go for? Both in terms that they could contribute to the team, and that it is realistic.
For example Rashford has contract expiring but being a Man Utd player we wouldn't be signing him, so we could automatically count him out.

Cheers.

stromcr0w

{Ed001's Note - I am just going on Transfermarket here on contract expiry, as I haven't got time to check properly: Skriniar, Kulusevski, Moukoko, Kante, Laimer and maybe Rabiot too.}

1.) 23 Dec 2022 10:34:42
Before world cup Rabiot was clear no to me. He had a great world cup to be fair to him but still a no for me. I see why you put maybe though ed. I d take world cup Rabiot, I just don't think that's the one we d get. Hard to know. Klopp could get it out of him. Just not a risk worth taking I think.

Kante I would probably leave too. Best player ability wise on the list but just too injury prone. Clearly a fit Kante walks into every team in the world. Again, just not worth the risk in my own opinion purely and utterly from an injury standpoint. Let me stress once again, when fit, a top ten player in the world. Just really really injury prone.

Moukoko I haven't seen a lot of actually. Looks s prospect though and highly touted. For him personally I think he would be better off staying at Dortmund a few more year but I definitely take him on YouTube clips if we could sign him for free.

Laimer would be awesome but Bayern bound it looks like. Another of course I'd take but looks like his going elsewhere.

Now to the 2 I say are realistic, didn't know contracts were expiring and would absolutely take on that free list, Skriniar and Kuvelski. Kuvelski in particular would be a fantastic signing. I think we could sway him from spurs.

{Ed001's Note - Rabiot is a Liverpool fan, hence the maybe.}

2.) 23 Dec 2022 10:59:49
I get you. And also know you didn't want to be boring and put just one name up there. It was a good list. All have interesting qualities and I would certainly not be moaning if any of these came through the door on a free. The Liverpool fan thing certainly does factor for me also. Did not know that either.

{Ed001's Note - the issue is how many of these contracts have they got correct? Some of them will have clauses for automatic extensions for appearances or other variables so not actually be free anyway.

Being a fan definitely does feel like you will get an extra bit out of them.}

3.) 23 Dec 2022 11:02:42
Marcus Thuram is out of contract in the summer. He along with signing his younger bro, Kephren (midfielder) would be smart moves to add some legs to our squad.

{Ed001's Note - I am not so sure about Marcus, he has been awful until recently but Kephren looks decent when I have seen him. The other one I was wondering about was Depay. I know people have this bad impression of him, but not one person has ever criticised his efforts in training. Quite the opposite. He even fell out with LvG at United for doing extra training as van Gaal didn't think he needed to!}

4.) 23 Dec 2022 11:41:42
You rate Rabiot Ed1? Heard he has attitude issues. Us that true?

{Ed001's Note - it is more that his mother seems to fall out with everyone if I remember correctly.}

5.) 23 Dec 2022 12:06:50
Delay would be I very good on a free. ??.

6.) 23 Dec 2022 12:01:01
I think Spurs loan agreement has an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met, I can see Skrinier renewing with Inter. As for Rabiot, absolutely hard no, turning it on in a few games at the World Cup doesn’t mitigate against the years of mediocrity that preceded.

{Ed002's Note - Kulusevski's contract with Juventus does not expire in the summer.}

7.) 23 Dec 2022 12:30:30
Perhaps we can sign Mbappe’s mum. She’s a Liverpool fan.

8.) 23 Dec 2022 14:45:18
Ed, Kephren Thuram is an absolute unit and he's pretty useful with the ball at his feet. Certainly one to consider if Caicedo or Kone are impossible to get.

9.) 23 Dec 2022 19:55:24
Kulusevski isn't out of contract with Juventus. Transfermarkt is very weird and lists players on loan as being out of contract when their loans come to an end. On top of that i believe Spurs also have an option to buy when the loan concludes. But i do agree with everyone who said he'd be a good signing.

10.) 23 Dec 2022 19:56:31
Totally agree on Depay. There's a top player in there still very much with something to prove.

11.) 24 Dec 2022 02:37:51
Thank You Eds. Also I went to tranfermarkt myself after watching your list and I think Ndicka would also be available, and I think he'd be a good one for us wouldn't he? Young, tall and already captain of Frankfurt.
Do you not rate him?

{Ed001's Note - I have not seen him play sorry.}

Are there any worth watching in Championship? Some kids for the future like next Bellingham?

Ed you mentioned Koumeito and Quansah as upcoming defenders. If I may ask what happened to Van Den Berg and Rhys Williams? Are they out of the picture entirely?

stromcr0w

{Ed002's Note - Sepp van den Berg (CB) Another loan with Schalke 04 is possible as he won't get a chance at Liverpool.
Rhys Williams (CB) Will need to find a new home which will likely mean dropping down a tier.}

With all due respect Rigsby, I think a lamp post in our midfield would be better than Alli.

@Faithinworks, that'd only be valid for Liverpool. For others it's a mix of patience, trust in the manager and whatnot, but when it comes to Liverpool we want money spent on players.
I believe this is what irony is called?

Same as shughes, eds,
if we could have brought one player whose ship sailed in these last 2 years, which player would that have been? The one we really regret missing out on.

stromcr0w

{Ed001's Note - I would have to say Mbappe. I know people will talk about how much he is on etc, but if money was his only desire he would be playing for Real Madrid right now. What he wanted is to join a team that would support his ideals in terms of allowing him to not advertise products he disagrees with, such as alcohol, gambling and junk food. Plus support for his foundation to help disadvantaged kids and other things like that. Could have been done to get him, it would have been a big stretch and a risk, but he is worth it. The best player in the world for the last few years.}
