Hi Ed’s not sure if it’s been answered before but do we have any interest in Fellaini? Dear god I hope not.
{Ed002's Note - Not as far as I am aware.}
1.) 21 Apr 2018 23:47:35
Use him as a scarecrow over summer when we’re not playing?
2.) 22 Apr 2018 06:33:28
The only way I could see us even being remotely interested in him is if Klopp can see a central defender in him, he’s not quick or agile enough to play anywhere else in a klopp team.
3.) 22 Apr 2018 16:14:20
Jaysus Molby how many penalties would he give away.
4.) 22 Apr 2018 21:24:33
There’s no reason to sign him. Terrible player and add to that he’s an ex toffee and an ex Manc,
{Ed025's Note - how very insular of you mr S, im not a fan of his but the matter of who he has played for previously should have nothing to do with it mate..
5.) 23 Apr 2018 02:21:58
Totally irrelevant who he had previously played for, if he is good enough would love to sign him but saying that he is a terrible player and would hope we don’t have any interest in him. Would love to get dacoure of Watford.
6.) 23 Apr 2018 20:13:12
Fellani still likes an elbow or two eh? No thanks, the guy is a walking red card.
07 Jan 2018 03:11:23
Hi Ed’s have we shown any interest in Malcolm from Bordeaux or Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk? Cheaper options and both look very good on the ball. Would love to hear your opinions on what you think off both players and if they would be suitable to replace coutinho (which is very difficult) .
{Ed001's Note - we have watched Malcolm a number of times and he would not be a cheaper option in any way shape or form, no idea why you would even suggest that he is.}
1.) 07 Jan 2018 05:06:10
Surely we want the best option, not the cheapest option.
{Ed001's Note - the lad is a forward, he would be more of a replacement for Salah than Coutinho.}
2.) 07 Jan 2018 05:46:28
Was just going off the figures that have been doing the rounds . Have read up figures off 30-40 million which is a lot cheaper than the 90 million For Lemar. Judging by the replies Lemar is our number one target so hopefully we can get this one over the line before the Man City game. Ed’s do You think either Fred or Malcom would improve us a great deal? Or are there better and viable options out there for us? Thank you for your replies and appreciate all the hard work you put in.
{Ed001's Note - this is why we don't talk money, the articles suggesting 30-40m for Malcom are insane, they asked a lot more than that. I have no ideas about Fred, never seen him play, but the other lad is quality, however he is very much like Salah and so would only be worth pursuing if Salah left.}

Plenty of sour grapes regarding Trent. The club are to blame and if Trent showed no indication on signing a new contract, he should have been sold. It’s bad management and management need to give their heads a wobble. Good luck to Trent and thanks for the memories. He has been a fantastic player for us. Let the lad go try and challenge himself in Spain.
1.) 28 Mar 2025 12:10:27
Ricky83, you can't sell a player against his will. I'm sure West Ham, as an example, would've been willing to have spent a few bob on him, but, I'd have been surprised if he'd have joined them.
2.) 28 Mar 2025 13:01:11
Yep good luck to him, he is a special talent and has helped bring us a few trophies. No one should object to him making the most of his skills and opportunities. He will be missed (if he goes which seems likely) but we will regroup and I am sure that there is a plan in place. I understand the frustrations and it’s hard not being in the know but I respect the decision he will make which will not be an easy one….
3.) 28 Mar 2025 16:17:49
Klopp was never going to sell Trent so the whole "we should have sold him" is a moot point. Also, I agree with a poster who said that it was a bad look to let Trent go with Slot arriving so again, that wouldn't have worked.
The club should have handled this situation at the time even tho, Klopp was leaving with no DOF in place at the time. They L to hold. Hats off to Trent for all he did for us overall and wish him the best for his career and his life moving forward.
4.) 28 Mar 2025 16:43:57
Lets say Madrid had said to him they were only interested on a free. In that situation he would never have agreed to a sale.
5.) 28 Mar 2025 20:18:29
The point is the club should have identified his intentions earlier. If he did not want to sign and refused to be sold as waiting for a move to Madrid on a free then should have rotted in the reserves. Let’s not forget we also could have sold him to Madrid in Jan if we knew he wasn’t going to sign.
6.) 28 Mar 2025 22:24:32
Brummy that’s impossible to say. How could the club have identified his intentions earlier? How do we know what Trent’s intentions have been all along?
It might be that he always had in his mind that he would likely stay but wanted to see what opportunities came up towards the end of his contract. The player has the power in that scenario not the club.
So we want him to stay and he hasn’t said he wants to leave but he won’t sign a contract although he’s giving the club indications that he will likely stay and your idea is to let him rot in the reserves and harm the first team’s chances of success whilst alienating him and depreciating his value in the process. Genius.
I’m not sure the manager would ever agree to have a player of his quality who wants to give us his all being forced to rot in the reserves either. The manager’s job rests on results so why would he ever agree to that?
Bizarre suggestion that mate.

Trent has been negotiating a way out n looks like sorting terms out as we strive to get the title over the line . n people sayin good luck to him for the future . if I had my way I wouldn't play him again . but the heroes on here want to put him on a pedestal,

The situation regarding MC has certainly taken a few twists and turns. Fair play to the lad as he has stuck to his word. He agreed personal terms wirh Chelsea dating back to may and he is just following through with his agreement. Looks a magnificent player but you win some and you lose some. I’m just confused as to why it’s taken toll August to agree a deal if personal terms were agreed in may?

It’s very risky getting players at the end of their career coming to the premier league. Lewa is a class act and has been in Germany for so long but the premier league is a different kettle off fish. Shevchenko to Chelsea springs to mind and why would pay silly wages on a 33-34 year old when we can pay mane who has shown his value again to Liverpool. All this talk off mane leaving is nonsense. He loves Liverpool and we love him.
30 Dec 2018 04:11:18
If he leaves then fine but Atleast he goes with a premier league trophy and some wonderful memories. Hopefully he will see sense and continue this wonderful journey Liverpool is on. Let’s all stop fretting about who will stay or go and just enjoy the ride. Happy new year in advance to all the Ed’s and all fellow reds.

Totally agree. Trent’s passing gives the opposition something to think about. Nobody supplying the balls for the forward to run onto and that’s what Trent gives. Will be a massive loss if he leaves.

How’s the relegation battle going? Asking for a friend.
