what does the editor think of the Lavezzi rumours? any interest show from Liverpool?

Hi one of the eds explain how the wage bill for liverpool is reported as being over 300 mill? Salah for example is the highest earner on over 200k a week. In comparison Utd have much higher earners individually but have a lower wage bill overall?

I can't imagine Liverpool's wages are higher than United's now. Then again, we spent this summer signing player's to longer contracts. Still, would be surprised if Liverpool were ahead of City and United when it comes to wages. As for league position by the end of the season, we will have to wait and see.

ewalsh31, our wages per week are the base salary our players earn, but by all accounts they're on hefty bonuses so while you'll see salah on 200k his wages probably come to more like 300k.

With the reported interest in Dembele by Barcelona and the obvious interest in Coutinho. is it a case of one or other for them? particularly if the price tag keeps on rising (which seems to be the case) .

If it's Firmino, I would like to add that I don't believe that Liverpool can win with the eds.

He's been recommended by the majority of eds, even ed1 couldn't believe we signed him and yes we paid a lot but if we had of dilly dailied over it, we would of got 'liverpool show a lack of respect to other teams etc 'like kovacic''

And if we would of lost out to united well god help these pages!

And one of the eds actually congratulated the deal by claiming we had learnt out lessons.

The only other that can be referred to is christian and I think the above applies to that aswel.

Sorry for ranting guys but let's just salute this window, we got what we wanted. The freeish(no transfer fees atleast) signings certainly helped us in our pursuit of Roberto aswel, maybe why we were able to commit that bit more to make sure we got him

My point being the club cannot win.

Ed1 hinted to the fact that we paid what the selling club wanted for the player ie we enquired they come back and say x amount and we pay it. Thee eds wanted us to stop messing clubs around and build there rep back up instead of acting like they are a bigger club than others and being disrespectful to them. Well that's what they do and there's moaning.

49 mil for sterling they asked and paid. Exactly the same as us

Surely we paid the asking price though for Firmino, can't see us paying more than it
