Papers are saying we have agreed a deal "in principle" for Keita, I genuinely believe they get their transfer news from this website.

1.) 30 Jun 2017 18:59:25
I'm getting the feeling he's not interested in coming to us after everything I'm reading.

2.) 30 Jun 2017 20:28:18
He was never really interested and RBL are not interested in selling. Why we cannot take a hint and move on, is doing my head in. The kid is just not that into us.

3.) 30 Jun 2017 20:44:18
Keita will come if we successfully bid for him, but if he is as good as some say don't be surprised if he only stays for a year or maybe two, he is ambitious.

4.) 30 Jun 2017 23:38:37
Strangely, after reading the reports, especially about him talking to great length about his friend Sadio Mané, I would think he is very interested in joining us. Also, if a serious journo like Gabriel Marcotti says we agreed a deal with him in principle, I'm pretty sure he wants to come.

There's just this tiny issue of agreeing a transfer sum with the moneybags of Red Bull.

5.) 30 Jun 2017 23:52:39
If he proves to be that good in a pool jersey, as soon as a real Madrid, Barcelona offer him the chance to join them he will be gone. But we have to realise that all our players are just using our beloved club as a stepping stone until we start challenging for champions league final appearances again. Keita, VVD, Salah or Coutinho or any of our squad aren't playing for our club because of their Liverpool love/ desire/ live long dream to play for us. Gerrard and Carragher were the last of that scouse blood. Gerrard had transfer possibilities every year but he couldn't leave because he has scouse blood but football is a different sport now. Its all about €s and £s. Sure look at the academy the majority of the kids aren't scouse.

6.) 01 Jul 2017 02:19:18
The transfer won't happen. All this talk about it is pointless, he will never be a Liverpool player.

7.) 02 Jul 2017 12:23:40
Brussels red when you say we do you mean the club or people on here. In light of what the eds have said it sounds like the club doesn't need to move on because it wasn't there anyway. Can say pretty much 90% of what I see in the press about LFC transfers has been media and agent fabricated or exagerated bull so not really down to the club.

Why on earth are we loaning out Lucas? This is madness!

Now that the season is over and we have qualified again for the Champion's League and got as far as the final, what are all of your opinions on how we can improve for the next season?

One thing I would like to see is exploring putting Solanke as a CF in front of the usual 3, like in the last match of the season. Very attack orientated and would also give Solanke a run of games.

I would like to see Sturridge move on to a club abroad, like Sevilla, where he would hopefully thrive in a new climate and lifestyle change.

I would also like to see what Keita can do and hopefully one more midfielder Fekir to come in and hope that they would both provide quality and make things happen.

I would like to see Salah have an even better second season. And also Robertson, it would be great to see him improve on his season this year.

Finally, it would be interesting to see how Wijnaldum performs alongside Keita and maybe someone like Fekir. My mate and I were saying yesterday that he was the only midfielder who was trying to push forward, pass the ball forward and also win tackles. I think he would be great as a defence-minded midfielder who wins balls and brings it forward to our attacking players. Really thought he was decent last night.

1.) 27 May 2018 13:33:11
Hi Adam, made you in agreement with me that there is no place for Henderson then?

My midfield 3 will be :
Fekir Ox and Keita. These 3 will break opposing lines at will.

2.) 27 May 2018 14:15:01
LfC lover - And who the hell is sitting back or playing the 6? Its all well and good playing fantasy football but you need a balanced midfield - Henderson offers that.

3.) 27 May 2018 14:55:55
John Lennon - I think Wiljnaldum would do that defensive job better than Henderson to be honest and he also looks to burst forward and create things. What he doesn't seem to do ix provide defensive-splitting passes, but as a defensive-midfielder his sweep up play and charges forward would be very effective in my opinion behind Keita, Ox/ Fekir. I think he would be much better than Henderson personally.

4.) 27 May 2018 15:53:39
Yeah I wouldn't disagree with you Adam, I do like Gini at the 6 too. I'm just fed up of the previous posters "I told you so attitude" about Henderson. Henderson will never be appreciated by the fan base because he's not Steven Gerrard, and I find that frustrating. Hendo was immense in the city game, mopping up and calming things down time and time again. Roma game he bullied Nainggolan, something that can't be underestimated.

Before all of the abuse starts to arrive, I just want to say a big thank you to the editors for providing an awesome site that I've been enjoying since the days of football rumours. Thank you very much and please keep it going as I love it and I'm sure many others do too.

We need a big summer I think. One silver lining is that we have progressed over the years to have managed to get into a European cup final, now it's time to take a step further.

1.) 26 May 2018 22:40:07
Agreed mate, I honestly think tonight's game was like a pantomime story of what the club needs too consistently b at the top of our league also Europe an that is quality qaulity and more quality if we replace the keeper with butland we either stand still or go backwards cos he is not the answer we need a top top keeper to keep us in good shape for years too come, it's great experience for the young kids like Trent robbo an lads on bench, u have too look at our squad compare too there's they are packed with experienced winners who together are a world class team, I really hope we invest properly as this could be the making of a great team, have too mention the goal from bale was insanely ridiculous an I am still in shock at how good that unfortunately was, I knew he would have a say in this match, anyways let's keep in mind how well this squad has done with the ups and downs of players leaving also players injured an not too mention klopps assistant walking out on his team, let's keep our chin up as 4th an champions league final at start of the season coming from qualifying rounds is pretty acceptable.

2.) 26 May 2018 22:42:59
Exactly Adam. I won't be abusing anyone, not even Karius. He pulled off some top saves to get us in the final. Second best team in Europe this year and I'm proud of the team and I'm proud of the manager.

We need a few players in the summer, our bench had no impact. But we performed incredibly this year. Thanks for the memories lfc. X.

3.) 26 May 2018 23:08:12
Abuse is different to criticising and critically speaking
the goalkeeper situation needs to be addressed this summer with a top top keeper either Oblak or Becker and both Karius and Mignolet need to be moved on. Depth in squad also needs fixing and Keita and Fekir will go a long way to doing that.

4.) 26 May 2018 23:27:02
Hailstones that is the longest sentence in the history of mankind.

5.) 26 May 2018 23:38:03
Constructive criticism yes. Abuse, no.

6.) 26 May 2018 23:52:01
Shants grammar ain't my strong point but I had too get that of my chest haha.

7.) 27 May 2018 00:14:59
I have to say, I meant abuse towards the editors in my post rather than the players. I agree that there's a balance between criticism towards our players and abuse and I imagine Karius will receive a lot of both over the next few weeks.

I think hailstones made a good point that this match will be good experience (in a weird way) for the likes of TAA who has a big future. But we need to sign some quality players this summer and keep our best players so that we go into next season a better team having hopefully learnt some lessons too.

Hey everybody,

I was just wondering if anyone is going to Kiev would they be able to buy me a match program for the match? I could send the money via PayPal or bank transfer maybe. Would love to get my hands on one to go with the Istanbul one.

1.) 24 May 2018 13:01:44
I am sure I saw them on the official club shop pre orders.

2.) 24 May 2018 13:02:54
I think you can purchase them online through the LFC store.

3.) 24 May 2018 16:08:35
Ahh thank you for your help, that's great! Wonder if they will deliver first-class before the match 🤔.

R. I. P Ray 😔.

31 Jan 2018 21:14:33
Despite all the doom and gloom recently, we are on course to go 3rd tonight and only 3 points away from 2nd.

1.) 31 Jan 2018 22:09:49
Conte is on the brink and Arsenal are pants BUT hey, let's lose our heads after losing two games in 21.

Ed25, when you say we possibly have a team that will take us back to the glory days, I think I'd possibly want to change that to "we have a manager who could us back to the glory days" - he's an enigma in my opinion. Yes the team is very good, but I think he's the catalyst and has breathed life into the club again. Just hope these new expensive signings we've made turn out well!

{Ed025's Note - i cant disagree with that adam, im a massive klopp fan mate..

Replacing Salah next summer or the one after was what I was thinking. Think "bromance" was the wrong word there, I was just referring to the positive comments they seem to have made about each other lately, I know there's a joke here somewhere but I can't think of it.

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps Liverpool should pop along next summer then?}

My opinion is Pulisic will be a Liverpool player, but not this summer. What with his bromance with Klopp and being American (I guess that could be meaningful to the owners) and Pulisic having talked positively about Liverpool and the Premier League, it definitely wouldn't surprise me.

In the meantime, we have to enjoy the new season and what we already have because it's a cracking team that needs to start winning major trophies.

{Ed002's Note - Pulisic was 16 during the six months they overlapped at Dortmund - are you suggesting something was going on with Klopp? Liverpool has not made any approach for Pulisic this summer. he would be a decent replacement for Salah next summer perhaps.}

Why do we need an extra centre back when we aren't going to be defending?

1 City 2 Liverpool 3 United (de Gea) 4 Tottenham (because of their existing quality) 5 Chelsea 6 Arsenal

I think we have the best 11 but City have a better squad. Everyone will underrate Tottenham due to not signing anyone but that doesn't mean they don't already have quality. United are United, never underestimate them, especially when they have the best keeper in the world.

ArAy - Shaqiri won't be an understudy, not if he plays like that all season.

Ed25 - I wrote the other day about Gini having a cracking season ahead, I still think it's going to happen after tonight's match!

{Ed025's Note - never seen the game adam but i just dont know where he fits in mate..

What was the benefit to Burnley for abstaining? I don't understand that.
