just heard that we are looking at Bruno Martins Indi, Dutch player, 30 caps, a left footer who can play centre back or Left Back, he does tick a few boxes, think he is about 24 years old and would not cost too much .
1.) 18 Aug 2016 01:11:07
Seen him play very well and also seen him have a poor game or two, with the Dutch. Not sure on weekly league form. Certainly ticks some boxes and I'd welcome the signing, although prefer a LB by trade rather then a CB who can play there.
Mad eyes, maddest eyes in football.
2.) 18 Aug 2016 03:35:36
Doesn't make much sense to buy a CB who can play LB. If that is the need why not have Klavan or Gomez play LB instead. No need to buy a make shift LB when there are actual LBs out there.
The window closes in a week's time I do not think there is a LB coming. I think we will be using Moreno and clinching sphincter all season.
3.) 18 Aug 2016 08:47:39
Once Matip and Sakho (if he stays) are fit I wonder if we'll see Klavan moved to LB for the tricky away games against the big teams and continue with Moreno for the home games against the less tricky teams? Might work!
4.) 18 Aug 2016 13:22:33
CB`s should play the CB position, period. Stop with shoe-horning players into positions that don`t suit them. It`s becoming tiresome.
5.) 18 Aug 2016 13:41:28
I haven't heard us being linked with "clinching sphincter" before. is he solid defensively? Is he good at dribbling? Can he stand up to an offensive pummelling?
6.) 18 Aug 2016 20:47:14
Heard he dribbles a bit too much .
7.) 20 Aug 2016 04:45:45
He sounds German too so must be solid.

Rhian Brewster has just scored two goals for the England under 17s, its in the Euro championship in Croatia, he took them well, more so the second, bet he bags more, I think they get at least 3 games, the lad from Man City looks really good .
26 Apr 2017 19:52:31
we all know that Sakho will be moving on this summer, but would you take a swop with Zaha, he could turn out to be a top forward, lots of pace and power, just what we need .
1.) 26 Apr 2017 20:30:21
Is that the lad who's a r s e went at Utd, couldn't handle it and sniffed round his colleagues female relatives?
2.) 26 Apr 2017 20:47:16
Watching crystal palace now. Does anyone else think we should have kept martin kelly. Decent squad player.
3.) 26 Apr 2017 20:50:59
Zaha a very good player now he's is like mane when he was at saints . The only problem he won't be creap and we would lose him and mane in January.
Surely there's better out there for the price.
4.) 26 Apr 2017 21:22:28
Lots of pace and power - like Origi you mean?
5.) 26 Apr 2017 21:23:27
Well he's jus the been taken of on a stretcher with his left leg in a splint. Possibly his knee.
6.) 26 Apr 2017 21:25:56
Sorry sakho has just been taken off on a stretcher with his left leg in a splint.
7.) 26 Apr 2017 21:59:03
zaha is class, fast skillful, powerful, direct, better than any left sided player we have . he's just given walker nightmares and walker is a calss rb.
{Ed025's Note - i like him as well barnes..
8.) 26 Apr 2017 23:05:59
Zaha is a terrific talent and by time he would be even better. Would fit like a glue in our system. He will run riot at defenders when we attack. I know some here don't rate him, But I would surely take a chance. How old is he?
9.) 26 Apr 2017 23:07:18
I think the criticism of him at United is unfair. They didn't give him a chance and what you're seeing is a young footballer hungry to recover his career and prove them wrong.
10.) 26 Apr 2017 23:05:59
Zaha is NOT on the same planet as Mane. That is simple for all to see. Zaha has been average his whole whole PL career and having a purple patch currently this season does not change that while Mane has been productive since he came to the PL and has proven that he can hack it at a big club, something Zaha failed royally at. Can he be great? Yes. Do we need him? Absolutely not. Rather play Woodburn or Wilson or get in a Brandt.
11.) 27 Apr 2017 00:18:23
Yeah let's just sign Brandt because he's not from the BPL, Zaha's a great player who's direct style of play would suit our system brilliantly.
12.) 27 Apr 2017 05:21:36
If I'm not mistaken, Zaha was Fergie's buy, but joined only after Fergie left, right?
13.) 27 Apr 2017 06:22:01
Zaha isn't really a left sided player, plays more on right and doesn't have a left footed cross so same as Milner and Coutinho he'd be pulling back onto right plus he'd be unavailable at same times as Mane so he doesn't solve problems.
14.) 27 Apr 2017 06:30:00
I think we're going for the ox.
15.) 27 Apr 2017 10:33:13
Saha was really impressive tonight and looks the real deal.
I have to say what a great job Big Sam has done since taking over.
Love him or hate him he is on top of his brief.
16.) 27 Apr 2017 10:38:39
i really hope not Ron. but its mainly due to his injury history, i don't really know how he is as i barely watch him.
17.) 27 Apr 2017 11:22:26
Is Zaha a hard worker off the ball? Is he willing to track back? Is he willing to put in the dirty work? If 'yes' then he could be a useful (albeit expensive) addition. I honestly think there are other areas in far more need of attention though - Zaha (or Brandt or Oxlaide-Chamberlain or whoever) would be a luxury signing rather than an absolute necessity - I hope we focus on defence first.
20 Apr 2017 14:49:22
Will Hendo play again this season? not looking too good at the moment .
1.) 20 Apr 2017 14:54:25
No chance, he's not even running.
2.) 20 Apr 2017 14:56:26
I don't think so, sadly. Even more worrying is if he can even play consistently due to his heel issue.
3.) 20 Apr 2017 15:34:02
Unlikely he will play again this season. Someone on social media said hendo had a secret operation tho.
4.) 20 Apr 2017 15:37:22
All the more important to tie Can down to a new contract. With Lucas and Stewart on their way out, we do not have a single CDM to rotate with Hendo (Can aside) when he inevitably gets injured from time to time. Hopefully sorting out Can's contract situation and signing a quality CM like Keita will make Hendo's frequent absences less noticeable in our performances.
5.) 20 Apr 2017 15:52:53
3rd season in a row that we has lost him at the back end of the season. warning signs. Fergie was right.
{Ed001's Note - no he was not. It is nothing to do with his running style, as the bitter one knew when he spouted that bull in his book. It was an injury, completely unrelated, that caused his problems.}
6.) 20 Apr 2017 17:04:28
I have the same issue with my heel, I can assure you it is very painful.
There is no cure or operation to solve the issue, it's an issue he will have to learn to live with and will affect the rest of his career, sadly playing football especially at that level he'll miss more games than play, Klopp will need to find a solution.
Hope I'm wrong but that's what specialist has told me.
7.) 20 Apr 2017 18:00:47
Deceptikon, Fergie was right about absolutely NOTHING as the foot problem Hendo has has nothing to do with how he runs. Many athletes in diff sports have had it including NFL players but they are able to play through it due to high level treatment and top of the line sports science and medicine.
Fergie was just an old bitter who STILL can't bear that Hendo came out great by moving to us instead of his mob. Stop validating his nonsense as you're embarrassing yourself.
8.) 20 Apr 2017 19:19:44
Your heal is part of your foot of if I'm not mistaken. Footballers run on their feet hence me making the Fergie comment. Love Hendo. Been supporting LFC since the eighties. As bitter as Fergie was and as much as i don't like him, the man knew players. Built, broke up and rebuilt many successful teams. His comment as much as we may hate it stems from his knowledge of players.
{Ed001's Note - no, it stemmed from his bitterness after Hendo rejected his attempts to tap him up.}
9.) 21 Apr 2017 11:04:11
It's the plantar fasciitis problem innit? There's no way that's caused from a running style. It just happens. Can take up to two years, can sometimes be managed within a few months. There's talk of it being career long? Your body actually heals the issue itself after a year or two by forming a heel spur. That's worst case. He'll be right.
10.) 21 Apr 2017 15:17:20
Have to disagree 77. I have also the same issue but i have been heel and injury free for well over a year. It is merry hell when you have it as im sure you are aware especially when it moves to you heel. Good footware, insoles for plantar fasciitis and exercise for your feet worked wonders for me. The benifit that Hendo has is that he is surrounded by top medical people which will help him a great deal. I think he will be fine, i would guess that his heel has ruptured which could take 3/ 4 months to sort out.
11.) 21 Apr 2017 17:59:45
Plantar facilitis (sic) has absolutely NOTHING to do with "running from the hips", which was Fergies complaint about Hendo.
Leave the medical speculation to doctors, not crackpot assumptions from a poster trying to prove their (completely incorrect) point.
23 Mar 2017 19:20:09
Rhian Brewster scores two more goals for the England under 16s V Croatia, England have two more games in the next week, will he score again .
23 Aug 2016 19:33:18
I would like to wish Big Ben all the best tonight, as he makes his debut, hope he scores .
1.) 23 Aug 2016 20:22:32
Class post!
13 Aug 2017 16:27:35
when Couts does leave, and it could happen next week, as we would need to find a like for like player fast, problem solved, we have replaced lots of great players, and it will happen again,
now, the problem is that we will find it very difficult to win anything this season, we have too many average players and our treatment room is in need of an extension .
13 Aug 2017 15:28:23
Red, it sure felt like it was a loss .
13 Aug 2017 15:25:11
the problem we have now is that the football season is back up and running, just about every team will be hanging on to their best players . so forget about Insigne .
my bet is that, Klopp has now washed his hands over Couts, who will leave early this week, we will either waste the money, or spend it foolishly .
13 Aug 2017 15:20:49
what about giving Sturridge a big pay rise when he was out injured, Klopp is many things, some good, some not so good, he is stubbern, slow to learn and the way he dealt with Sacko was down right stupid, yes Sacko was out of order, but just deal with him, don't lose him .
13 Aug 2017 15:01:10
Problem is that Everton will get there man, he is almost there, ha house hunting I have heard,
and we will not get our man, we should have moved by now, yes, we did have two big targets, but the penny is taking a very long time to drop, and we lose out, and then fighting for top for again, might not happen this time, yesterday had some good moments, but way too many bad ones for me .
07 Sep 2017 12:00:00
Hold Fast mate.
13 Aug 2017 23:37:30
I would like us to go for Lanzini, he did not play for west ham today, wonder why . he ticks a lot of boxes .
13 Aug 2017 23:35:50
MK, your posts are usually a great read, but Wilkins, he has his own problems, and we have too many as it is, we need someone who is strong on the defensive side, I think we are quite strong up front, so no worries there mate,
Klopp makes too many basic errors for me, but who would we get to replace him .
13 Aug 2017 17:01:54
good post Jason .
13 Aug 2017 16:53:29
then its tuesday that his photos and stuff will be taken down, Barcelona will offer us a offer that we can't refuse, just take the money and hopefully spend it all on players, we need another three players fast .
