Here's a quandary for you!
I believe Klopp is the best manager we have ever had, and I believe FSG are the best owners we have ever had. I know Klopp isn't the most successful manager and FSG are not the most successful owners, but look at what they have gone up against compared to the great Liverpool teams of the past. I started supporting Liverpool as a glory seeker back in 1977. I'm still here. It all went tats up in the 90's and we became the laughing stock of the other fan bases!
We are now back in the equation under Klopp and FSG. I believe that where they have elevated us to now compared to the also rans we became, makes them the best!?!?
Your thoughts.

I love klopp, but he's not the best. He's without doubt the best I've seen in my lifetime.

Two words.
Bill Shankley.

{Ed025's Note - some people think football only started in the 70,s langland.. :)

I started suporting liverpool because my brothers did. we were up there but not winning everything (90's) . I just loved what the club represented.
For me the fact thay klopp promised a league title and deliverd will allways be one of the best things i've ever whitnesed as a liverpool fan. The only thing that breaks my heart is that it wasnt infront of the fans.
What hea done is nothing short of a miracle and he's an absolute legend in my eyes.
Ynwa jurgen klopp.

It’s hard to compare owners because the game of football has changed.

Years ago it was all about entertainment and the fans.

Over the last few years it’s more about business and income.

{Ed025's Note - spot on JK..

I know Shankly laid the foundations for us to go on a conquer but for me Bob Paisley was our greatest ever manager. Klopp would be 3rd, after them 2. He is a mix of both of them, although not as successful.

As for FSG, they have done a stellar job in building the club and sorting out the mess we where in for a long time.

Calling any owner the greatest is a daft question imo.

Yeh but shanks laid them foundations, just like i wouldn't actually be surprised if klopps successor ends up being more successful trophy-wise BECAUSE of the great work done by Jurgen.

I think it's a misguided thing to call anything or anyone "the best" without stating what the criteria for "the best" is. It's all so subjective. Is it titles won? Is it years spent at the club?

If it's win percentage (which is one possible fair criteria) then Klopp (60.54% wins, 910 games) is ahead of both Shankly (52.11% wins, 1421 games) and Paisley (57.57% wins, 1055 games) . The highest win percentage in the history of the club belongs to Kenny Dalglish with 60.91% wins over 639 games.

For me, the bar for success is trophies and Bob Paisley reigns supreme.

Bill Shankly created the modern Liverpool …. He was the founding father but Bob Paisley is the best club manager.

Jürgen Klopp and King Kenny along with Bill and Bob make up the four leading management figures of the club since WW2.

Don’t know about the 70’s - there’s a club across the park where they are still waiting ?.

I loved when we got Torres. I hated how Torres forced his way out (even though I believe he was finished after his injuries!
) . What did we win with Torres? What have we won with Mo?

I don't understand the "flat or not up for it argument" for different time slots. The same goes for when a lower league side beats a Prem side in the cups. Why are the Prem side not up for it? And why can't the lower league sides play to that level every week!?

Jota played on the right last night. The first time I can remember him playing on the right. His goal was class. Even though a few lucky bobbles. Maybe he is better on the right than the left? We are all right or left stronger, physically and in the brain?
