Edd quick question: what's your opinion on liverpool playing wednesday then saturday. Should it not be a problem for moddern day footballers or should they be playing sunday/ monday after a wednesday game.

{Ed001's Note - the issue is purely about preparing for the game tactically. Physically they should be fine, but it does make it difficult for the team to be at its best without the usual preparation.}

1.) 30 Sep 2019 18:28:36
At least both games are at home. that's got to help with both aspects.

2.) 30 Sep 2019 20:58:51
You are right, Lamborini. I remember Ed01 saying in his last podcast (those things are MUST HEAR TV on Youtube) where he opined that it's not the fatigue from the games away from home in Europe, that make it harder to recover for a Sat. game. I tend to agree with that on some level. Hence, It is the travelling. Since we are at home, the players won't be that tired for the weekend game.

3.) 01 Oct 2019 09:58:19
What worries me more than the 3 day rest between games, is the early noon time kickoffs on the Saturday games, no matter how much rest the players have had. For some reason these games always turn out to be hard-fought and ground-out.

Did the watford review go up yet? Did i miss it? Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - not yet mate I am just finishing it off now.}

16 Feb 2019 14:03:21
Edd001 have you done a james maddison profile yet. ? i've allways liked watching him play. Any chance if not please?

{Ed001's Note - I have added him to the list for you. I don't think he has been done yet.}

1.) 16 Feb 2019 15:51:28
Could you add Djimi Traore to that list Ed?

{Ed001's Note - I am not sure what list he belongs on, but legend certainly isn't it!}

2.) 16 Feb 2019 17:25:58
but he won the Europe league for us. lmao for the joke by the way ed001.

{Ed001's Note - fair point and he did score a screamer in MLS footie.}

3.) 16 Feb 2019 18:19:39
I had to check the calendar to see if it was April 1st πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

4.) 16 Feb 2019 23:20:54
Ah poor old Djimi was the butt of many a joke down the local boozer when he played for lfc. None more so when he scored an o.g. against I think Burnley in the F.A. Cup. Still though he is a champions league winner.

I’ve read since that when Rafa was being interviewed in regards to the champions league win he’d often point out the team photo that played which was hanging in his office and comment on the quality of that team compared to the night of AC Milan.

5.) 17 Feb 2019 08:36:13
Niall42, Jonathan Greening, David May, Josemi, Toricelli, Pessotto (both of Juve) etc. all won the CL. That does not change the fact that they like Djimi Traore, were crap footballers.

I mean, Casemiro won three CL's with Real Madrid and he is still an average footballer. However, I would say that you need some average/ crap footballers in a team to win sometimes.

{Ed001's Note - I am sure Niall is not claiming Djimi is top class, quite the opposite. Certainly that was always Rafa's point about the 2005 team, that he won it with a team that was much weaker.}

6.) 17 Feb 2019 14:05:25
Didn't he make a clearance off the line from Shevchenko in Istanbul? That's surely worth a place on the legends list on its own!

7.) 17 Feb 2019 20:21:15
Djimi Traore -the new Marcel Desailly according to Houllier

Djimi deserves β€˜cult’ status rather than legendary status in my opinion 😎.

Incase anyone didn't know its free to stream on youtube.

1.) 26 May 2018 21:33:10
I think it should be censored. Karius has come on loads this season. He's progressing well. Certainly deserves a place in your combined team of the week. And no mention of Bale by you lot all week. The spanking of Real Madrid you predicted is coming along well. Oh wait.

2.) 26 May 2018 21:39:31
Karius if a poor keeper always has been always will be.

3.) 26 May 2018 21:44:37
Whether we win or lose we walk together. #YNWA.

4.) 26 May 2018 23:04:24
However poor karius as a human being nobody deserves that kudos he went to the fans at the end, also noticed not one of his team mates went to him shows that even they have no faith in him, time to dig deep and buy a decent keeper.

So fed up with discussing a few handbags thrown.

New topic, your favourite Salah goal this season. Mine are:
1st. Vs everton at home.
2nd. 1st goal Vs stoke. (great technique)

1.) 20 Feb 2018 23:54:16
2nd goal Vs Spurs? Should've been the goal to win the game, messi-esque. Bloody Lamela robbed Salah of a moment we would've remembered for years.

2.) 21 Feb 2018 00:04:59
That would of been third on me list kloppo!

3.) 21 Feb 2018 04:10:07
the header vs Leicester is worth a mention, also the goal against man city was superb, he has scored all types of goals for us and he isn't finished yet, however I agree that 2nd goal vs spurs was something very special indeed and will live long in the memory.

4.) 21 Feb 2018 05:43:03
Just watched all 30 on youtube and it is toi hard to pick for me!

5.) 21 Feb 2018 07:12:34
Salah''s dolphin juggling act against Porto.

6.) 21 Feb 2018 08:10:39
There has been a lot, but i love his volley against Stoke to be honest. That was a rocket.

7.) 21 Feb 2018 13:14:57
MK, you want a Salah Volley? Check the 4th goal vs WH. That is as controlled a volley as you will ever find, coming across his body and right in the opposing bottom corner.
