Just going through the excuses from the usual suspects ?? We are terrible no excuses.

1.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 16:56:55
I mean we aren’t terrible are we? Let’s not exaggerate.

If we are sitting sixth and are that terrible that’s a damning indictment of the league and at that point it isn’t really worth getting upset about is it.

2.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 17:02:04
Not playing to our full potential would be a better way to describe us right now.

3.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 17:03:55
We have a GOAT in GK, A potential GOAT in midfield, Another one upfront and one in defense and are chilling in mid table. If that’s not terrible I don’t know what it is. Wasting the prime years of some of these world class players not investing a penny.
#FSG for you.

4.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 17:06:22
What excuses are those, ORT?
We played poorly and got beaten last night. We've been poor for much of this season and I know that you hate this team because of it but who's making excuses?

5.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 17:28:28
Mid table, Enzo?
We're all allowed to get things of our chests but at least make sure it's actually true first.
We've enough to gripe about without making some more up ?.

6.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 17:33:35
ORT delighted we've lost as usual.

7.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 17:35:38
It's disappointing that this site is becoming very much like Twitter, the same comments you see on there we are starting to see on here. The IQ of poster on here is declining significantly.

8.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 17:57:58
Klopp surely sits in the same conversation as the "Boot Room" managers. There's no one close to him in the last 30 years! He'd have my trust to run the football club for many years, and I'd certainly swallow a period of relative "struggle" for the amazing years that preceded them.

9.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 17:59:22
This Liverpool team have been starting to creek since the beginning of the season. They have been unlucky with injures but that doesn’t disguise the fact they need a completely new midfield, CB and better support acts at full backs.

We also don’t yet know if the new signings up front in Nunez and Gakpo will prove good enough and that might also be an area that needs to be looked at again.

The big question will be is Klopp up to rebuilding the team? At Mainz when the team needed rebuilding he moved on and left it to Tuchel.

At BVB he tried to rebuild the team and it was something of a disaster with the club hovering around the relegation zone at Xmas.

10.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 18:16:42
Not sure bvb and liverpool can be compared they sold all their best players to bayern!

11.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 18:24:37
“ Wasting the prime years of some of these world class players not investing a penny.
#FSG for you. ” is this supposed to be ironic? Because it is plainly as fake news as anything I’ve read on here, and there has been some tripe over the years. Get a grip.

12.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 18:52:24
Where did these GOATS come from?
Did the club invest in them?

13.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 18:57:42
I thought the centrebacks were blameless because of the midfield and awful tactics?

14.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 19:37:46
I don't like the idea of having a potential Goat in midfield. As Alan Hansen said, you don't win anything with 'kids'.

Yeah I know, i'll get my coat.

15.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 19:41:30
GOAT are you for real? When are they coming? The midfielder and forward don’t make the top 30 of all time.

16.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:29:57
Compared to how we have played and what we have achieved over the last lot of seasons then we ARE terrible.

17.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:11:50
The point isn't whether they are GOATS are not. The point is we invested in these players but we are also accused of not investing in players.

18.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:19:50
Terrible of course we are terrible, no one could call us ok. We have almost relegation away form and we are as near the bottom as the top. Terrible I think it’s very very kind I would call them something else.

19.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:23:24
Ali is the GOAT of all keepers. No question asked

A peak VVD (before the injury) was the best center back in the world who lost the Blon D or by a single vote to Messi.

Thiago is world class. Oozes in class, played with and in all kind of system and set up. His vision is up there with some of the best midfielders in the world

Mohammad Salah will break all the goal scoring record for a winger in the league and certainly for LFC.

The common thing of all these players is that they are likely to end their career with just one EPL trophy.

Thank you FSG for that.

20.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:39:07
Alisson is the greatest goalkeeper of all time? Surely not even the most blinkered Liverpool fan believes that.

21.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:42:40
Thunderbird, it's not a blinkered Liverpool fan who's stating this, it's Harry. Who's come over to have a gloat now that we are in a bad spell.

Don't worry, he'll soon be off to the Man City pages to celebrate with all of his fellow fan (singular) over there.

22.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:46:12
Wrong Rigsby

Coutinho sale got us VVD and others followed in thanks to our sale and revenue the club generates. The moment sale stopped we stopped recruiting or we started mortgaging assets for money.
FSG hasn’t put a single penny into the club. #HardTruth.

23.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:46:14
@Enzo

Naming yourself after the latest twitter heart throb tells us everything.

Everyone knows we are not playing well. Everyone knows that we need a better midfield.

We played terrible last night. But it’s January and there’s a lot of football left to be played.

I can’t think of anyone I would rather have to sort the lads out then Klopp and I have complete faith that he will sort it out, one way or another.

We are not buying Enzo Fernandez. If that’s all you’re after then you are going to be very disappointed.

24.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:46:48
I knew it must be a wind up.

25.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:48:20
Ali is 10/ 10 in every aspect of goal keeping. Don’t give two flying pigs if there were people before the world war who did a job. Ali is currently the GOAT of goalkeepers.

{Ed025's Note - if football was invented 18 months ago then you are probably right enzo..

26.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 20:52:18
Relegation away form? Is that even a thing, mark? You don't get relegated because of away form. We are sixth in the table. We are closer to top four than we are to bottom three.

Enzo, all those players were brought in by Klopp and FSG. Those players helped bring us our first title in thirty years. They helped bring us our sixth CL, too. Domestic cups 'n' all. I think we'd have a few more if it were not for City. And they'd have more if it were not for us.

27.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 21:01:09
We are 7 points behind a Man U side that’s many posters we’re laughing at a couple of months ago. We are on course to get about 65points. If someone had said that at the start of the season no one would have believed it. Imo terrible is kind as I said. I the players are saying it’s no where near good enough, translated terrible.

28.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 21:04:42
@ Enzo, Alisons not even the best keeper to play for Liverpool let alone be a goat. ?
When you really look into it vvd has had just 2.5 good seasons with us at a high.

29.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 21:05:34
Standard. We haven't got or had a world class player since the biter was here.

30.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 21:09:13
Enzo, did the Coutinho sale also bring in Diaz, Nunez and Gakpo?
I'm not clued up on our finances at all. I can't pretend otherwise.
I'm always willing to learn though.
So what's the story?

31.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 21:14:57
We've been poor since the restart. We used the long season and short pre-season as an excuse before the WC. We had weeks to get ready for the restart w only few of our players seeing WC action. No excuses now for not being fresh and prepared. Teams will be taking points off each other this month but I don't have fatih in us getting wins at Brighton and Chelsea.

32.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 21:16:39
Rigsby we are 16 points off the top and 16 points from the bottom. With all these great players and the greatest manager it’s embarrassing.

33.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 21:17:37
We've had a world class team though.

34.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 21:31:10
We did have a world class team but didn’t win enough PL’s or CL’s.

35.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 22:03:46
Wow. Just wow. Some posters on here sound like my kids when I won’t get them a pack of sweets from the garage. Moaning and whinging about what you didn’t get and complete ignoring everything you have got and had.
That’s the problem with fans these days they somehow think that they are entitled to demand the owners spend billions on their latest Twitter love child and can’t wait for it to go wrong so they can bitch and moan to whoever will listen about how they haven’t got this and haven’t got that and should be winning every single game.
Millions of football fans would give anything to have a fraction of the success we’ve had under Klopp, stop acting like entitled children and try supporting the club you say you love.

{Ed025's Note - love it BP, nail on the head mate..

36.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 22:05:39
How many is enough, mark?
We'd have won two more PLs were it not for City. An incredible City team and one of the best the PL has ever seen. I think we did well to win one and have done remarkably well to run them so close on the other occasions given their obvious advantages.
We also reached two other CL finals, as well as winning one, and City have reached just the one.
I think we have overachieved considering the money we have spent and I appreciate what we have achieved.

37.) 03 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 22:30:09
Don't be embarrassed, mark.
I'm hoping that the players and manager can turn things around. They've done it before. We might need some reinforcements and I'm hoping that happens, too.
If we don't have hope then we don't have much really.
We might have to take a bit of stick or banter the way we are playing but it's not embarrassing just yet.
Head up, lad.

38.) 04 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 23:19:44
I would stand by the fact that we are not terrible.

We are not playing appalling now - it’s just there is a noticeable drop from the quite brilliant form we’ve had over the last few years.

Frankly I think we’ve been spoilt by the ridiculous standard Liverpool and City have reached.

39.) 04 Jan 2023
04 Jan 2023 03:13:08
I disagree Wassa. We are playing terribly at the moment, definitely not at the level that we know we are capable of.

But I do agree that we have been spoilt by the ridiculous standards we set with City the past few seasons. People always use the fact that we only won one PL during this time as a stick to beat us with but they fail to see that we are competing with a team that has seemingly infinite money. No other team in the PL can afford to have a £50mil player fail, write it off as a loss, and buy another £50mil replacement. The fact that we pushed them all the way to the final day of the season a few times should be commended. No other team even came close to that.

{Ed001's Note - people also forget that City's owners are so wealthy that they have been buying up teams in leagues all around the world simply to act as feeder clubs and to allow them to push the FFP regs further to pump more money in to City. They have pumped billions in and have shown no sign of stopping yet.}

40.) 04 Jan 2023
04 Jan 2023 05:27:14
“I think we'd have a few more if it were not for City”

Wrong @Rigsby. We would have a few more had we had better depth of quality players. Klopp had to sacrifice Nabil Fekir for Shaqiri. Once it was clear the money went for Alison we couldn’t afford a player like Fekir.

{Ed001's Note - liar. You make up stories in your head constantly and spout this bull all over the pages until the eds get bored of your lies. When are you going to learn? The deal for Fekir did not fall through because of money. Everything was agreed between the clubs, personal terms were agreed, despite fears over his injury history, then the goalposts were moved by Fekir's camp. Nothing to do with being unable to afford him. Shaqiri cost the club more anyway. A little fact that escaped you as it doesn't suit your agenda to tell the truth does it?}

41.) 04 Jan 2023
04 Jan 2023 07:30:45
Wow Ed, I didn't know the City group were doing that. I mean, I knew that they were buying up teams to be part of that group but didn't know that they were using it to circumvent the FFP rules. Thank you for sharing that bit of info.

@Harry, Nabil has personally came out and said what Ed has said. It had nothing to do with us trying to bring the price down. I think he said that his agent demanded more money from us after everything had been agreed so we pulled out of the deal.

42.) 04 Jan 2023
03 Jan 2023 23:14:26
We all get frustrated Ed I certainly do but we have to appreciate how lucky we are to support a team that has won what we’ve won.
Some people have very short memories.

{Ed025's Note - Yeah BP i dont see that liverpool supporters have that much to moan about really mate..

43.) 04 Jan 2023
04 Jan 2023 09:10:30
You're right, Enzo, we'd have had a couple more PLs if we had a better depth of quality players.
City had and have a better depth of quality players so we'd have had a couple more PLs were it not for City. Check the facts. The two seasons we finished second, City won it.
Do I need to point out the reasons why City have had a better depth of quality players than us?

44.) 04 Jan 2023
04 Jan 2023 15:21:54
Rigsby, it’s not going to matter to Harry. That’s not what he’s here for. The fact that he is still talking about Fekir tells you the guys got nothing but made up porkies to post on here to make it sound like he knows stuff. Tedious repetitive porkies, really.

{Ed025's Note - i agree oli..
