Just found out that Mo Salah has created the most big chances in the PL so far this season and has had only 20% of the normal chances he usually gets. I can't understand that people are so harsh on a living legend, one of the best of all time to put on the shirt, give the guy a break. He is working super hard, just in the Everton game when they had a huge chance to score on the counter Salah was one of the few who sprinted the whole field and covered Alisson's right side while Alisson took the left side and luckily saved it. Salah is the least of our problems, jeeeeeeez. You call your self fans? you're spoiled brats more like! YNWA and all that.

Salah hasn’t been near his best since around AFCON. Which is a worrying thing for fans as you want your best player firing on all cylinders. Nobody has questioned his work ethic. He’s a top professional and keeps himself in great shape. Not sure what has affected his performances, whether he has heaped too much pressure on himself or he’s overthinking and trying too hard now.
The sooner we get him playing to how he can the better. He’s not the only one we need to tho.

This isn't just a this season issue though, he's been like this since the start of the year. Since the AFCON loss he just has not been the same. I saw that in 37 matches since that loss he has scored 6 times from open play . There is something very wrong with him, he still hurting and its affecting his game, he maybe needs to have counselling to help move on.

Second half of last season he was terrible only a few pl goals and poor performances. But this season he has created quality chances he most games.

Mo is a superstar and he is at his happiest when he's scoring goals for fun. You can see the frustration on his own face recently and the sooner he's back banging in the goals the better for him and the better for us.

On a separate note Klopp has confirmed Jones has had an injury set back but there is no time line on it.

Or we completely have no idea why he's not firing on all cylinders and just leave it to the professionals.

OX, Keita and now Jones! Nice one.

I think it’s two separate things. It was clear that after AFCON last season he was knackered and needed a break. He’s now had a break and I haven’t seen much evidence to suggest his lack of impact is his fault. With the limited touches he’s had, he’s done well, but he isn’t getting enough touches in dangerous areas and that is down to design, not down to Mo. The tactics don’t make any sense and the incompetence of Trent isn’t helping anybody, but most of all Mo. Rather than go for an overlap or slide him in, Trent would rather play an aimless lazy ball into a crowd of 6 opposition players.

Mo will be fine, but only when Klopp sorts this mess out, and i’m not 100% sure when that will be. It could get worse before it gets better.

That run shows he still works as hard as ever. The goals will come and with the WC break next year he'll be on his best form. As the OP said he is a legend of the club already. 0 worries with Salah. Must be a slow news day. Another theory I have is Bellingham will transform the Liverpool team next season if he signs of course.

Seriously, who is playing well in the LFC team right now on a consistent basis? I'll wait. Personally, I think Mo is playing well and as the stat suggested, creating a ton of chances for others despite our struggles offensively and him being perennially double-marked at every turn. He also works hard tracking back and doing the dirty work for the team.

The guy is STILL a threat. His mere presence on the pitch literally changes the way we attack and the way the oppo. defends against us. He may be struggling in front of goal BUT so are all our attackers so not sure what is surprising about it? We need to focus MORE on how the whole team is playing poorly cos that is a knock-on effect on how individuals are underperforming. Singling out this or that player is futile and unhelpful. I think Mo will be Mo and will get his. He ALWAYS gets his.

AW to describe TAA as incompetent is to do him a disservice. My dictionary's definition of the word is "not sufficiently skilful to do something successfully" - which hardly describes Trent. Perhaps out of sorts/ form would be better explanation!

Curtis Jones is in the same category as OX and Nobby, we just can’t rely on any of them.

Tired of hearing that Mo is tired. He's supremely conditioned and as fit as it gets. He's not tired. He's over AFCON and the World Cup. Mo often laughs when he misses a chance. Saturday he looked angry. So I would say he's feeling it too. It's not for a lack of effort. But his numbers have dropped there's no denying that.

I think tired is the wrong word. I think he’s suffering with fatigue, which is entirely different as it’s not like he’s had any form of rest.

Of course he's tired £350K a week, which means his mattress is six feet off the floor so he can't get into bed to sleep?

It's posters on here that need counselling not Salah!

He'd the whole summer off from CL final until the 1st day of pre season. How much "rest" does he require?
