If you spend a billion pounds and recoup £250m and still there is no problem. Then the rules aren’t fit for purpose. Chelsea don’t even have a shirt sponsor and no European football.

Have never seen Sangare play but match highlights don't look overly impressive to me. Very little tackling and when there is a tackle it seems to be very clumsy looking. Not sure he is good enough for what we need.

That said, you do really need to watch a proper match to judge properly. And more than one at that so I could very likely be paying him a disservice.

Something like you can't post a loss of more than 105m over three years of accounts? Chelsea posted a loss of 120m last year alone. so they'll need to be making a bit of profit at some point.

Bring in NFL style drafting. Stop teams spending ridiculous money (especially as we don't seem to be able to do it) .
City quietly just spending 300mill a year after their huge investment, makes them nearly unbeatable over the full season.

Guys seriously we need to stop talking about finances. Most of as will never understand it. There’s clearly a difference between how a fee is paid to the selling club and how amortisation of the cost of an asset works in accounting. All most of us know about football finances is roughly what amount a club spends on players and what they receive when selling. Then papers and pundits bang on about net spend which is different to profit and loss. If Chelsea were doing anything wrong there’s no way the other clubs wouldn’t be kicking up a fuss. We don’t have the information and if we did we probably wouldn’t understand it anyway. There’s a reason the accountants get paid a fortune.
Let’s get back to the days of rumours like my mates neighbour saw Ken Aguero arrive in a private helicopter in a nearby field. They were simpler times ?.

I agree Ed02 it’s just frustration that’s all. Not defending some of what’s written, including myself at times. We all care about the club and it’s painful seeing a big rival get two excellent players. But we have to move on and we who else we can get.
