Your missing the point it shows his urgency to win the ball back and his aggressive attitude, something we are lacking he has the highest tackling interception and blocking statistics in Europe albeit in the Portuguese league.

Ugarte is a cracking player. He is called the tackling machine. Technically first class. He is also a press resistant player! Proper number 6 for LFC.

He is a very good tackler, his volume of successful tackles is amongst the highest in Europe's top flights . The discipline of the player isn't an issue that can't be delt with . A must buy imo .

I think Ugarte is a good player and would definitely love to have him for our midfield. But to use the fact that he has a lot of yellow cards as a reason to sign him up is a bit weird for me. More yellows means he misses more games too so it is something that he should improve on. Maybe bring focus to his more positive traits instead mate if you want to big him up.

The thing with the aggressive midfielders like Ugarte, you will find you only need Rat boy Neville to mention it once on a live match and he will start picking up cards.
It happened with fabinho at the beginning of the season, he was picking up yellows in the first 10 minutes of being on the park, taking away a ot of his game.

@Hailstones I seem to remember people berating Thiago for picking up yellow cards for fun and nobody on here and I mean nobody, thought that was a good thing so not sure what you are on about trying to convince the rest of us of the opposite.

You like Ugarte and you want us to sign him and that’s fine. No need to bend over backwards and convince us that we should sign him by saying stuff that has no basis on in reality based on actual historic precedent. Peace and Love.

I don’t think you’ve offended anybody @Hailstones but the statement that Ugarte is a ‘quality midfielder’ is an opinion not a fact mate. A lot f us had the same opinion about Naby when he was rippining it up in Germany the season before he came to us.
