Who'd take Gerrard as #2 to
Klopp to replace current scapegoat Lindjers?

Think Gerrard as no2 isn’t a bad idea but I think their is probably better qualified no2s out their . Micheal Beale should of been still part of our set up really like the work he’s doing seems a very good coach.

Surely Sammy Lee must be due back at some point? Pretty sure he's done his full lap of being assistant manager at every English club so he'll be ready to go round again.

Not for me at all. More of a distraction than a help for me. Does he know anything about coaching top level players? Did he do any at Rangers or Villa ?‍♂️. Plus every man and his dog will assume he is there ready to take over from Klopp, which should only be the case if he was good enough and not because of who he is. He needs to learn his trade elsewhere, if he does extremely well then he might get a shot because the club should only want the very best they can when the big man jacks it in.

No, not for me. I don’t think it would benefit either the club or Gerrard. I think he needs to manage a club lower down the food chain and learn his trade properly.

I don't think he's anywhere near ready. Villa was a test of whether he was up to it and it didn't work out for him. Has to still go somewhere else and prove himself.

No thank you to Stevie…… great player but unproven as manager/ coach.

The required skill sets needed for a player and for a coach do not automatically transfer across.

{Ed025's Note - plus hes one miserable sod..

He'd be working as a No. 2 under one of the greatest managers ever. I thi k it is quite a good idea as long as he stays in the background and doesn't do interviews. or write books.
How else is he meant to learn to manage 'top players' if he isn't given the opportunity to work with them under someone who could really teach him. If he doesn't make it as a manager after working under Klopp, then at least he can say he have it the best go possible worked quite well with Arteta and Pep.

as a number 2, under Klopp? I'd recommend that for anyone.

Ah but is Stevie a budding author?

Gerrard wouldn't want to be number 2 to anyone. Great player but management I'm not so sure.

Why Gerrard? Why no someone off here?
Let's face it, you've got several posters who spend entire days pointing out Klopp's mistakes so they clearly know better.
We might win something then.

Maybe Kloppo could teach him the finer points of managing a top like how to continually get away with Tapping Up players from other clubs. Klopp is excellent at this part of management. LOL.
